The scales are tipping in the wrong direction in the fight between good and evil. The veil thinning has allowed something to happen that Soraya Devil has never seen in her thousand years alive.
While the side of “good” is worrying about the rules and being petty, the demons are testing limits and cheating the laws of nature… And of course everyone expects her to handle it like she’s a superhero instead of one overworked woman.
As well as ramp up her farms and production to help the income and jobs for supes across the world.
Plus, deal with the enchanter heirs and too much crap there.
Along with handle the growing issues facing all supes in the UK.
Needless to say, she’s at the end of her patience before she gets pulled into a new case that leaves her stumped for answers. What she does know she can’t fully reveal to the humans, and that makes too much explode fast.
But when two viable options offer her help and to take more off her plate, she finds herself asking what will it cost her, and is she willing to pay the price?
The Enchantress is a fast paced ride of sexy fun while balancing the needs of her coven, police investigations, work, supes, and the world that wants so much from her and still trying to move on from her past to find the love we all deserve.
Erin is a born Chicagoan who decided to state hop a bit, given she works from home. She currently resides in Georgia with her pup, Lord Vader Flynn. With an eclectic and addictive personality, there isn’t much that doesn’t interest her or she won’t pour herself into if it catches her fancy. She has always been interested in the darker aspects of life and mythologies—especially vampires, shifters, the occult, and anything paranormal.
To date, she has published more paranormal books than she can keep up with the characters for, in different genres with dedicated readers who await each release to her numerous series under any of the three Flynn names she writes.
I appreciate knowing this was to set up future books
First of all I have loved all the books in this series upto this one, it moved slower and didn't keep my attention as others have. But having acknowledged this was to prep for Soraya's future I understand the need as its moving in a new direction. I do feel that unstead of our heroine becoming stonger she seems to be fizzling out. I don't like Isaac, and I don't believe that Soraya would ever allow him to step in and be her big hero around SPU let alone Hunt accepting him in that role. She gave him a chance to have a problem with it and the Alpha in him should have pushed against the idea or switched Walter to play that part as an older brother figure who would protect her much more fiercely. I did like the turn in the angels behavior, seeing more of who Brax is and understanding his world a bit. This series is the best of Ms Flynns writing so far in not repeating itself, I just feel some of the characters are moving backwards instead of forwards.
I was so glad to see a new book in this series. If you are familiar with this author, this book completely fits in with her other books. I personally am addicted and highly enjoyed this installment. I don't ever know what to write about her books because they are pure escapist fun with strong overpowered heroines who have large appetites for both food and pleasure. I adore this series as well as most of her others but I don't think they are for everyone. I personally can't get enough and will continue to read and re-read whatever she writes.
This is the 6th book in a continuing series. You need to have read the preceding books to understand this story.
The book starts with things going wrong for Remy and Soraya when he hits some of her buttons by accident. This leads to the start of some changes being made, which is only the first of many in this book.
The case she has to handle in this book is related to a demonic monster that was created by a crazed enchanter 3000 years ago. The monster shouldn’t be killing for another 25 years as it has always followed a pattern until now, and this isn’t the only difference in it’s behaviour. As the hunt gets more dangerous Soraya is forced to accept help from the London nest of ancient vampires.
This book is filled with Soraya starting to accept that she can ask for help and receive it. It’s a hard lesson for her, but with all the dangerous enchanter elder’s taken care of she feels that she can relax her grip a bit more.
As always, I really enjoyed this story, but I do wish that the author would come up with different emotional reactions for her MFCs. When a trigger gets hit, they lash out and everyone forgives her behaviour because she copes with so much and has so many issues of course she’s going to lash out and hurt people who love her. You’d think with 1000 years of experience she would have learnt how to navigate her triggers a little better.
The case in this book doesn’t actually get resolved. In fact a lot things get set up for future plot action set after this book. It’s what I consider to be a pivotal book in a series, where things need to change direction and it takes one book to shift things around to allow that to happen. This book seems to handle that really well and didn’t drop the standard in order to get everything to fit in. It does make me want to read the next book though!
… in Soraya’s story. I’m a little disappointed that Erin has obviously had some complaints about the extra chapters telling us more about Soraya’s past and has consequently skipped that in this book. Personally I don’t mind it not being historically accurate and I love the insight in to how her key relationships were formed. How could it be accurate anyway, in a world where enchanters, vampires, shifters, and other mythological creatures are commonplace! You tell it your way, Erin. If people aren’t fans of it then they can just skip over it!
I've now fully binge-read 2 series of Erin Flynn (The Enchantress and Artemis University) and I can't get enough of her writing style and formula. I like main characters who aren't airheads, I like a diversified and novel view of sexuality (compared to most other UF I read), I like mature handling of issues of trust and jealousy, I like things that aren't instant love and happily ever after, and I like arrogant pricks and assholes getting put in their place in a way that's spectacular and satisfying.
Her books provide all of that and more, and Monsters of Limit is no exception.
That all of her books are free on kindle unlimited almost feels like stealing, so I bought them after reading. If you're at all a fan of urban fantasy, I emplore you to give this author a go.
Most of us would never actually want fame if we had a clue what comes with it. You get a glimpse of the costs with these books about how words, actions, relationships, and every other thing can get twisted and used in totally opposite ways. I love Erin Flynn's works because they are filled with actual life. The good, the bad, the twisted, silly, horrible things that we can all face in hopefully smaller doses than some of her characters. They remind me not to take what others say about people (especially famous ones) at face value because we are not in their inner circles to know how they may be handling all the crazy that comes with a basic life, let alone one lived in front of the world. I would rather be understanding of that than think I was entitled to the private life of someone not in my life. I don't want everyone in mine so I can understand why they might get hidden behind layers of "protection."
Bad, bad author. You kept me up all night because I couldn't put down this series. I read the six of them in 3 days. I think it's time for my nap... The only parts I really disliked were homonyms used incorrectly and one weird sentence with words missing or partially editted that made zero sense. I enjoyed the revelations about the angels 😇. What a bunch of lunatics! Soroya was right to not side with them unconditionally. They would burn her out, wasting her incredibly valuable knowledge and expertise just for their own immediate gratification. And "Brax" wasn't nearly as clever as he thought, either. I wonder how black "Michael's" soul is after the attempted murder. Thanks for all the cool books, Erin. 9/10 unicorns 🦄 🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄 Highly recommended to read, borrow &/or buy. Going in my repeat pile to be sure.
I absolutely love this series! I was a bit skeptical for the first book but by the second they definitely grew on me! I'm very interested what happens next. I was wondering if maybe her dad has something to do with her foreboding feeling but that's obviously just a theory! I'm gutted that there wasn't another last chapter in the history of Soroya's past I think that they help fill in some gaps and gives the characters more depth without taking away from the current story! No hate just praising why I personally like them! I cannot wait to see where you take the characters next! Plus I hope they gang is all cautious with the Croc!
All Erin's books are good reading and this holds up to the standard.
Erin writes about strong successful women who can hold their ground in a world that holds on to stereotypes about what a woman should think feel and how they should behave. I do find my OCD tendencies come up with sentence structure and typos but refuse to let it hold sway when the books are responsible for me staying awake too long at bedtime. I have bought all I can find and some of those written under her other pen names. I reread them when I'm waiting for more to come out if I'm bored with other books.
As always I was sucked in immediately and next thing I know its 7 hours later and I've finished another one of Erin R Flynns amazing books. It has crime, murder, hunting, kinky sex, epic battles, emotions, political context, social commentary, and did I mention kinky sex? I highly encourage anyone who is a fan of paranormal why choose romances to give ERF a go, she's a phenomenal writer.
I wasn't sure we were going to get more of these books & was thrilled to see it pop up in my suggestions. I had to go back to reread from the beginning since it had been so long.. I love Soraya's journey & opening of her heart. The challenges she faces are getting harder & making yourself rely on others is truly difficult. The story is steamy like all of Erin's series & a good dive into mental awareness.
I love all of Erin R Flynn’s book series! The characters have so much depth, and the FMC might have multiple relationships but each one is unique and have their own struggles. The Enchantress series is no exception and Soraya is a girl that needs more men in her life. Super excited with the addition of Issac and can’t wait to see if he sticks around.
I have reread these books so many times because I absolutely love them. It was nice to see the plot progression and soraya's character development. I absolutely love all the bonus chapters the author includes at the end of these books. So, I hated that this one didn't include one. But I will always take whatever this author gives me without complaint. Thank you so much for all your books!
I did love this books as much as the others but this is the very first book Of hers i actually got mad at some of the choices that were made. I cannot stand Isaac and I’ve never disliked a character Out of any of her other series except this one I really do hope the character can turn into someone I love. I am definitely looking forward to more of these books she definitely knows how to write about us heroines that love as much as I do LOL
Another amazing Soraya book! Erin did a fantastic job writing this one- more character development and growth (a lot for Soraya) and relationships showing more and more depth and complexity as the series continues. Also some great plot lines. Definitely would recommend it.
Seriously, I have read this series 4 times. I read the Seraphine Thomas series 5 times. They are just so good. Same for Untraceable Succubus, that I have only read twice. Artemis University I've read 3 times. Can't wait for another book on any of her series because they're just THAT GOOD!!!!!!
This series gets more and more interesting with each book. The guys surrounding Soraya are becoming more possessive, however I don’t blame them. But the big question is what is happening with the demons? Will they be able to stop them? So many things have been brought to light in this book it’s incredible. Looking forward to finding out more.
The series is getting worse, devolving into badly disjointed unrealistic sex scenes with little in the way of plot progression or story. I don’t like Hunt’s character and the demeaning manner in which he treats his “mate”. He’s poorly written and underdeveloped and their relationship makes no sense as the plot just makes leaps without explaining anything
I enjoyed this series. Was disappointed that it’s not finished, but it’s been good. I did feel like I got lost in the details of her businesses and day to day details. Enough so that it detracts a little bit. I didn’t really get sucked into the story, so I wouldn’t call it a page turner. It was worth reading, but not sure I want to invest more time into future books.
This bloody wrecked me, read it all in one sitting. Loved all of it and glad she's finally getting some appreciation for her dedication both the mfc and author, . Thank you so much for bringing this back. Can't wait to read more. JL
Loving this one thing that has always annoyed me about this series is I never felt like it was moving forward and this book changed that! Apparently the storyline was just a slow burn ramp up loved jt
Erin is a great author. I am hooked on several of her series right now. It was a surprise finding this series had a new book in it. I of course could not put it down and read it until I finished it. I am looking forward to reading more of her work.
I’m so glad she came back to this series omg the growth in these characters from the start of this series is amazing I feel like I know them with how much depth and detail she put into this. Amazing just pure brilliance
Another dive into the extremely fast paced and hard driving life of an extremely powerful being. Interesting and fascinating paranormal world that the author has created that keeps me wanting more.
I love Erin Flynn books - all her serieses are just so unique - and this one was no exception. The Soraya Devil series is different as the heroine already has so much of her life figured out. It's sassy and exciting and sexy.
I really like this series! And really anything by Erin! I love living these characters lives with them. The ups and downs and struggles and how I can relate. I also love the chapters at the end with some of their histories! I hope the next book has one!
Soraya is a take no prisoners kinda woman who doesn’t put up w anything or anyone getting in her way. The bedroom action is smoking hot throughout the series. Well written and well paced storyline. Well worth the purchase.
Another awesome book that will make you reading amazing. The amount of life trama she goes through is like real life. The suspense action sex is amazing like they are real
Erin R Flynn is one of my one click authors. She has several running series and I read them all as soon as they come out. This is the 6th book in this series. If you like sassy take charge heroines, magic, vampires, and a possessive Alpha wolf this is for you.
This is another series that drew me in. As soon as I finished the first book I was ready for another. I live the sarcastic way the author writes. I'm fascinated by how she can make a story that you want more of.
