We finally get what we have been waiting for . Sinjin finally finds Bryn but things are a little more fighting that is going on . They fight their way along to finding Jolie . While Emma and the gang are fighting for their lives as school against some possessed werewolves bent on getting Emma . She also finds out a secret that Stone is hiding . Will there be happy reunions and will Emma be able to wrap her head around Stone's secret .
I have been waiting for this book . It is full of action and the characters are just getting better and better . We get to see Sinjin come face to face with his love and its all that pretty. He is upset and he has a right to be Bryn has not been the nicest to him and his daughter . Emma has been getting more and more complex as the story goes on , and boy does she come into her own in this book . So much happens with her this time around . I am not going ruin the rest for you but the rest of the characters are so good .
This is such a fun read , I am loving this series and the characters old and new are amazing . There is a lot that goes on in this book and the author takes us on such a fun filled rollercoaster ride . There is action, romance and mystery going on in this book . I love that we can keep up with the Jolie Wilks series even after ten years in book time . This is a really fun series to read and I love each and every character and book . So if you want a fun read for this fall and winter check out the series . I suggest you read the series in order so you know what is happening .

I was screaming throughout this one!
We finally get reconnections that we've all been craving and answers are starting to weave them self into the story! I love the short quick bursts of this story that we get.. do I want more absofreakinglutely.. but I feel like we get just enough to keep the craving strong and steady.
Also.. there's a few characters that I feel we haven't exactly figured out yet. Mallory has me wondering if there is a bigger connection then what we've been given.. which would be amazeballs. Plus a certain character is gonna have a lot of explaining to do when ghosts from the past reveal themselves.
Can't wait till the next installation.

Emma is attacked at again at school, she gets help from Stone. Things gets worse when Stone is hurt, Emma saves him. Emma also makes a decision that will cost her. Jolie doesn't want to believe that her feeling Bryn is a not real, so she takes lead. Things getting complicated with her friend, they seem to both have feelings. Bryn and Sinjin finally have a face to face. Bryn has to face her decisions and she can't admits her mistakes.
This is just the tip of the iceberg so to speak. This series is really picking up. This book really grabs you. There so many really great moments, I can't wait for the next book in series.

Within this book lots and I mean LOTS of changes happening. Many different storylines are starting to merge into that ; one path we all have been dying for. Plenty of juicy bits dropped here & there like a breadcrumb trail. I'm really getting more excited for the future ones. Especially on how HP Mallory ended this one. Oh you want to know? Sorry you gotta read it lol it's well worth your time....

It is no secret that I love Sinjin and Bryn. Mostly, I love Sinjin and Bryn makes him happy so, I accept her. This book has a reunion of the couple but, it is not all he had hoped. Bryn is unable to forgive, even where none is really needed. The students are in great danger and even more secrets are revealed in this installment. Each book is filled with adventure!

This was a well-written, entertaining story. Emma and her friends are in danger and Stone comes to her rescue... Pagan sees the dangerous side of Nyx... And Bryn and Sinjin come face to face. The action is fast-paced, the story moved quickly and I didn't want to put it down. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading the next episode.

Arcane Ambition is the 5th episode in the Mists of Magic and Mayhem serial by H.P. Mallory.
Episode 5 spends a lot of time with Bryn and Sinjin as they come face-to-face for the first time in 10 years. A lot of emotion erupts and I can't help but feel sadness for Sinjin and anger toward Bryn. Bryn keeping their daughter Rowan away from her father disgusts me. The issues between them should have never ledto Sinjin missing out on 10 years of his child's life because Bryn was angry at him over something that did not involve Rowan. I actually see Bryn in a completely different way now than I did in the Bryn and Sinjin series and it's not in a good way.
While I view Bryn differently now, her character is still an integral part of the series (and I will eventually move past the anger I feel toward her in this particular episode). Her strength and tenacity lead her to the Abyss where she's sure her sister dwells. Despite her treatment of him, Sinjin still follows her into the Abyss and it's a good thing. The Abyss is full of evil and having Sinjin by her side helps keep her safe.
In the meantime, back at the school Emma attends is attacked oddly glowing wolves. Fortunately, Emma and her friends are ushered to safety by Stone. As they try to run and hide, Stone's protection leads to devastating consequences. Emma and her friends also learn several secrets Stone has been keeping under wraps.
The fifth episode in the Mists of Mayhem series is action-packed, fast-paced, pulls the reader in effortlessly, and keeps them engaged. I am excited to be back in this world. Along the way through this fresh, new adventure we get to meet new characters, venture into new settings, and learn new things. The story is engaging and branches in several directions, but it's done smoothly.
This series is amazing. I love that we are back in the world of Jolie Wilkins and we get to see what they are up to 10 years after the end of the Bryn and Sinjin series. Each book draws you in and the endings keep you wanting more. I’m constantly on edge, waiting for the next book.
Each episode ends with a mild cliffhanger and I'm not ashamed to admit the ending of Arcane Ambition made me cry.
