"601 Twilight Lane" is the story of Selina and Austin.
A sweet insta love romance between a sassy heroine and a protective hero. He is instantly taken by his feelings for her, and then they end up married, soon realizing they will never let each other go.

Pense que mi buena primera experiencia con la autora habia sido un poco gracias a la suerte de principiante, pero con esta segunda lectura suya sigo muy contenta de haber descubierto a Kat Baxter.
Twilight Lane es una novela corta, light y amena, es indudable que no es el libro mas profundo o complejo del universo, sin embargo, a estas alturas del año me apetece leer historias de este estilo : rapidas y faciles.

Loved this heroines attitude and how her opposite counter part digs it. Different story line than I’ve read before. Lots of humor. A nice quick read.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Austin and Selina meet because her brother, Jacob War and Roses served with him. Jacob asks Austin to check in on Selina since she moved out of their parents home and to Cherry Falls. Selina gets a job at Rosie's Tractor and Feed Supply Co her cousin owns. Austin is on the police force of Cherry Falls and stops by Rosie's to see if Selina is working. He can't believe his eyes when he finds her and then she tells him she doesn't need him checking up on her. Austin tells her he made a promise to her brother to check up on her. Three days later Selina heads to Auntie Oakley's Roadside Diner for a bite to eat when Austin slips into her booth across from her. When the owner of the diner comes to take her order Selina finds out that Austin is her son. They eat together in silence, then he walks her to her car. A day later while on his way home, Austin gets a call about a trespasser so he responds to the call. He finds Selina at the old Franklin place he asks her what she's doing and she tells him. Selina is house sitting for her cousin Rosie, the man who owns the property is in the nursing home. The elder man gave Selina permission to be on his property, she's scavenging. Austin asks her what she does with the old stuff and she tells him she repurposes it then she sells it. Selina gets a phone call and Austin listens to her end of the conversation, he thinks she's about to go meet someone, maybe a boyfriend. After she gets into her car, he follows her to her home then sits outside. A few minutes later Selina comes out and get into her car and takes off again, he follows her to Syn City to Synsational Casino and Resort. Austin doesn't understand what she is doing there, so he goes inside to find her. He finds her at the blackjack table so he takes the sit next to her, then he notices she is talking to an older man. Austin soon figures out that she is talking to the older man about junk parts, he restores older cars, and he has some parts for her. After the older man leaves the table Austin sees two younger man come to the table, he notices she tenses up. Austin introduces himself as her boyfriend, then tells them to get lost. Then Austin has to get up and look down at them in order for them to leave. Selina tells him she can take care of herself, then she cashes out but Austin follows her. He tells her he's not stalking her he's keeping on eye on her. When he doesn't stop following her she tells him she'll go with him if does some shots with him, so he agrees. Selina opens up to Austin about who those guys were and how she wanted to tell them off. Selina wakes the next day and can feel a warm body in bed with her, she soon realizes it's Austin. Selina heads to the bathroom she has a massive hangover and then looks for her purse for some medicine. When she comes out she finds Austin standing in just his underwear and admires him. Austin tells her they have a problem and asks her if she seen her phone. She tells him no then when she grabs it she finds out they were married last nigh. They want to clear it up so they get ready to find the chapel they got married in. When they walk into the chapel the elderly lady greets them and tells them they forgot a few things last night. The elder lady gives them their marriage license and their wedding rings, then she tells them she knows it's true love with them. The elder lady tells them they are the real deal, and they'll have a happy ever after. They both leave not knowing what to do, so they head back to Cherry Falls. Selina's car has a flat tire so Austin tells her he'll have it towed and helps her into his car. On the way home Selina finds out Austin's mom is going to have a reception for them at her Diner. Austin tells Selina she needs to move in with him so they can make this look real. Selina doesn't want to get an annulment just yet because everyone in town will blame her not Austin. Selina tells him they can pretend to be married and then they'll stage a breakup in about six months. Then Austin asks about Selina about her parents and she tells him the medical problems her father is having. When they arrive home Selina grabs a few of her things then they head to Austin's home. Then change and get ready for their party at his mother's diner. Everyone helps them celebrate at the diner and his mom serves pie, since she doesn't have cake. Austin tells everyone they need to head home since a storm is coming in and he doesn't want anyone to get caught up in it. While rushing to his truck they get caught in the rain and they both get soaked, Selina is wearing a white dress and everything is see through. Austin carries Selina into his home, they he begins to kiss her, he tells her he wants her but he tells her if she wants him to stop he will. Selina tells him she wants him too, then he carries her to his bedroom. Austin begins to pleasure her, when they begin to make love he figures out she is a virgin and asks her why she didn't tell him. Selina ask him if it mattered and he tells her it does, he would have taking thing a bit slower and gentler. Selina tells him not to stop. Afterwords Austin wants to talk about her being a virgin but she doesn't want to. He tells her she'll be in his bed and she tells him her things are in the other room. Austin tells her that he's mom comes over with food and doesn't announce when she's coming, so she'll question why she's in the other room. The next morning Selina wakes up before Austin and decides to head to the Old Franklin place to work on some pieces. She hears a vehicle pull up but soon realizes it's not Austin, it's her ex-boyfriend. When Austin wakes the next morning he finds his mom in the kitchen making breakfast. His mom asks him about Selina and tells him she knows something is off with their wedding. So Austin tells his mom he does love Selina but they did get married. He finds another car outside but when he goes to the door he hears their conversation. Proofread!
I wanted to like this book so badly...it was actually a pretty good story for a novella, with some depth even. These authors have to make sure their work gets proofread! I can handle a couple errors here and there but large numbers of spelling and grammar errors just ruin even a great story.

First time reader. I really enjoyed this book.
Austin is home from the service where he was saved by his best friend. from being killed Austin made a promise he would look after his sister. Not knowing anything about her, Austin seemed her out to introduce himself. What he saw was a beautiful woman, sassy as hell. Austin was a Police officer so when she saw him she was just as sassy as he was nice.
One day he followed her to Vegas. She didn't want him following her but he did any way. She started to drink so he had a couple of shots with her. After a while they both walked into a chapel and got married. They woke up in shock and thought they could undo the marriage but it didn't work like that. After going home they were surprised by the little wedding reception his mom had planned at their return. Selina was sassy but that was a wall she put up to keep from getting hurt. Austin went to find her the next to tell her his feelings for her and how he wanted her forever. That's exactly what she wanted as well. Even though she really was burning tough on the outside she was soft on the inside. Now they both found true love.

Tropes: Reverse Grumpy/Sunshine, Waking Up Married, Curvy Girl, Ex-Soldier, Small Town
Omigosh, why did it take me this long to read this awesomeness?!! Looooove Selina and Austin’s story!! I love that Selina was the grumps and Austin was Mr. Sunshine. Their dynamics made me chuckle… then sigh. Coz when these two finally got together… whoa daddy!! You felt their heat leaping from the pages.
It did break my heart a little that Selina was so hard on herself. She was so beautifully broken. Her first instinct is to run away before anyone can leave her. I’m so glad that Austin is right there to show her that he’s not going anywhere… their hearts are welded together forever. And that’s a wonderful thing.
Kat Baxter made me ugly cry af… AGAIN!!! And totally love her for it!! Another winner!!

601 Twilight Lane by Kat Baxter is part of the multi-author Cherry Falls Romance series. This is a wonderful, charming and sweet story about Austin and Selina. Austin is leaving the military and he has promised Jacob, a good friend and serving brother, that he will keep an eye on his little sister. So Austin heads to the small town of Cherry Falls and becomes an Officer in the police department. Selina is a beautiful, intelligent, curvy, quick witted and determined young woman. Her father has been sick and she needs to earn the money to pay for the bills and ensure he gets the care and treatment he needs. Just one look at Selina by Austin and he is a man on a mission but it is definitely going to be hard.
This was a well written, funny and entertaining story. The story-line is sharp and the characters are lovable to say the least. This is another winner by Kat Baxter and also in the Cherry Falls world.

The Cherry Falls Romance multi-author series has been turning out wonderful romances each week since January, and Kat Baxter's 601 Twilight Lane is no exception. Austin's army buddy and best friend Jacob asks him to look in on his little sister when she moves to his hometown of Cherry Falls. When Austin walks into the local feed store where Selina is working for her cousin Rosie, he is knocked out by the sassy, foul-mouthed, tatted up spitfire. Selina is in self-protection mode from the beginning and thinks Austin is just a good guy fulfilling a promise to her brother. But when a night in Syn City ends up with Austin and Selina married, he is determined to make sure it is a permanent status change - and she must figure out how to protect her heart while simultaneous falling for her husband. Austin is a swoon-worthy hero, and Selina is such a fun character - while complete opposites they just fit. This is a fantastic, can't-put-it-down read!

This is book number 21 of the Cherry Falls Romance series and focuses on Austin and Selina. Austin owes a favor to Jacob (Selina's brother) after he saved his life while serving together overseas. Since Austin is new on the police force in Cherry Falls and Selina just moved there he decides to pop in to see her at her work and let her know he is there if she ever needs him but as soon as he sees her he is immediately attracted to her. Selina is trying to make ends meet to help her family cover very costly medicine for her dad and doesn't have time for her brothers 'babysitter'. Austin can't stay away from her and realizes that she is definitely his girl, even if she hasn't caught up yet. They end up getting married after a night of drinking. I absolutely loved this story and how freaking awesome both characters are! This was such a great addition to the Cherry Falls series! 100% recommend this book!

We are now reading another Author in the Cherry Falls series. I am glad that there are so many different stories in this series. You are getting a wide range of couples from all over the town. He is there to keep an eye on her for a promise made to her brother. He has never seen her before but as soon as he finds out who she is he realizes that this is going to way more difficult than he ever thought possible. She is one that is basically a brat and has a specific mission and nothing will stop that mission. She is trying to earn money to take care of her father's medical bills. So she heads off to gamble to get it. The problem is he goes with and they end up waking up more than just friends of her brothers. They are married. Now, what will they do? How will everyone react?

Austin promised her brother, and fellow soldier, that he would watch out for his sister Selina. Talk about opposites as Austin is precise and controlled while Selina is headstrong and sassy. I laughed at all the crazy situations Selina managed to get into and Austin was there to get her out. Well, all except one where they are now legally bound. Loved his mom and how she could read him. Like that the families were so close and really cared for each other. The author had the town so welcoming and the heartwarming love that came through was great. Can not wait to read more of this locale and maybe the brother is next?

This is part of the multi author series Cherry Falls. You can read and enjoy this book without reading any of the other books in the series. You’ll sometimes come across previous characters if you have read the some of the other books. This book is a short instalove story. Austin's buddy Jacob asks him to check in on this sister Selina. She's prickly as a pear but Austin can't help but fall for her. They accidentally and up married. Can Austin convince her to make the marriage work? This has been a fun series filled with talented authors. I recommend this book and the series.

Another fun book in the Cherry Falls series by Kat Baxter. I love this author so it was a no brainer when I saw this one. I loved the brothers best friend storyline. While I adored Austin, I have to admit Selina was irritating to me. She was CONSTANTLY rude and sarcastic to Austin - lucky he got off on that because it just got annoying to me. This story had some fun moments and I would absolutely recommend because it's a good read. Austin's mom was super entertaining and I can't wait to see if Selina's brother gets his own story.

This was a fantastic book. Selina and Austin were amazing together. I loved the connection and the chemistry between these two. Austin was only supposed to do a favor for his best friend and check in on Selina but he as soon as she glared at him, Auston knew she was going to be his. Selina is trying help her family with their bills and doesn't have time for a man but she can't help the pull she feels towards Austin. These two have a little bumpy but also a funny, sweet, steamy and heartwarming road to a awesome HEA. I really enjoyed this book and I would highly recommend it and Ms. Kat as a must read author.

I really liked the story of Selina and Austin, it is a short story but it seems longer with the way it is written. They are such a sweet couple with Selinas growling and though attitude and Austins friendly and carefree attitude. He is a former soldier and her brothers best friend, she is an artist but also works in a store to help pay jer parents medical bills. How they meet and their journy forward is so sweet!

I LOVED this book. Selina is sassy and hilarious!! Her witty comebacks and sassy swearing is so fun to read. Austin is her brother’s best friend so she hard time believing he is drawn to her in a way that is other than watching over her. The scene where they do shots together is the hottest round of shots ever! Austin is the definition of a sweet southern boy but he gets spicy when he lets her know how attracted he is to her. These two together are amazing!

Out of obligation to his best friend, Austin checks in on Selina. From the moment he sees her he knows she’s the one. Selina is going through some difficult times. Her father is sick and she’s trying to help with his medical bills. When she meets Austin her sassy snarky self appears only to try and cover the attraction see feels. This was a sweet read. The characters had chemistry that leapt off the page. Austin was sweet and protective and enjoyed the sassy, independent woman in Selina. The chemistry between them is hot. The sexual chemistry between them is 🔥🔥. This was a nice read.

I didn't realise that this book was related to Kat's War and Roses when I started, but let me tell you, these are two of my favorite Kat Baxter books from now on! I loved both of the main characters and it was refreshing to meet a sassy gal that gave as good as she got. Although inexperienced (read virgin), Selina is far from a shy lily and Austin's instant attraction is easy to believe. Their chemistry was hot and I enjoyed the banter back and forth between them. Safe to say, I highly recommend this book and a big thumbs up to Kat.

Gosh, this story touched my heart! Austin is every girls' dream. It was such a sweet storyline. I did not like the character, Selina. Their chemistry was palpable and the passion between them was off the charts! I have been a fan of this author for a while and this is just another example of why. She has a gift of bringing the reader into the story and they "feel" what the characters do. It's a rare talent! Definitely a must read!

Me gustó el estilo de escritura y disfruté de los personajes principales. La conexión entre ellos fue creíble y quedó demostrado en sus interacciones. Si bien hubo una conexión instantánea, no hubo demasiada abundancia de ese deseo instantáneo y eso también estuvo bien. Me hubiera gustado que algunos elementos se desarrollaran más y ciertas partes podrían haber sido mejores, sin embargo, fue una historia buena.
