After awakening in this modern world. I have struggled to find my bearings. My name is Mavis, and I was once the Queen of Irish vampyrs. Now I live in the shadows of both worlds. My daughter Alexia has begun to heal the devastation wrought by a malicious immortal monstrosity. I am working towards modernizing and attempting to begin University studies soon. Aurelia brings a message to us. She invites Olaf, Anne, and me to a secret Lycanthrope retreat. A bloody storm is brewing, and many sinister plots will come to fruition at the very worst possible moment. The Lycans might truly turn against vampyrs. War is on the horizon, and even my considerable prowess might not be enough to stave off the threats hunting the Lycans in the darkness. How can I protect my friends, and can I manage to cut through a few layers of AUrelia's inner armor? More importantly, can I possibly keep Olaf from getting himself killed while we are off with thousands of shifters for a holiday trip? Contains mature themes.

Extremely Good

An epic adventure, filled with unexpected curved and turns. This book delivers. A page turner, you won't want to stop reading this book. A world building so skillfully laid down, only a talented author could navigate this.
There are quite a few grammatical and spelling errors, but this book is beyond great. Even if I removed stars, I would still great the author and this book ALL 5 stars.

This series has such potential to be something similar to Sookie Stackhouse/Tru blood world.
There is a plot/character change from the end of book one to book two that isn't explained.
There are grammar/editing mistakes and usage of offensive in 2021 words ("retarded", "tranny"). These words could have been easily removed for other more appropriate words.

A continuation with a few issues

The AN at the end admits knowledge of a new editor being needed, so I am going to hood out hope of the future books, the story seems to skip over something mentioned at the end of the first book, with no explanation, but otherwise it held together just fine and the poly begins in the second novel, was worried about it becoming a harem but had the fear dissuaded by the end so well put together there, author. I am interested to see where the world goes, they do explain why the MC seems OP in this novel, so things are making more sense. It will be interesting to see how this goes

I stopped reading about halfway through. The author's choice to continuously use a slur for trans people felt very out of touch both in a modern time, and by a character presented as very wise and unusually accepting by the narrative. (though clearly not in action) This repeated choice turned me off of the rest of the book. I had a lot of high hopes for the concept of a Sapphic non-monogamous vampire story, but I hit a point I couldn't make it past. Other reviews have mentioned other less than tactful words chosen by the author and that helped me decide to call it quits.

Sprinkled with liters of blood battles. And dalliances of sapphic delights! You will enjoy plenty of moments of laughter from Mavis and Olafs banter also. So gird up your loins and get ready for more lycans and faes and lets not leave out the Matriarch of the series the former Vampire Queen MAVIS!!!
ENJOY AS I DID.😍

3*

I really enjoy the idea of this series, and preferred this book to the first. Sometimes I find it hard to follow, as I did the first. It’s taken me longer to read than normal.

There were, however, a couple of words that could be deemed offensive. Retarded and Tranny… I mean, could be more PC, perhaps try and edit those out??

I look forward to the next in the series.

More in this series, please!

I really like this series. The only reason I can't give it 5-stars is that spelling errors really took me out of the story, especially in the last couple of chapters and the epilogue. In spite of that, I'm looking forward to more!

Good

I like this series and characters, there is action and humor. This book could use some editing for typos and there were a few confusing parts where characters were in and out of a scene without transition. Looking forward to #3 for sure.

Still interested

I'm still interested enough to give the 3rd book a read.
I got list in the fight, at the end, and am still trying to get used to the old timey language.
