Soon-to-be retiring NFL player Beau Mitchell had just about given up on his ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl, but after pulling off a miraculous win he’s now set his sights on an even bigger prize.
Dating a player is completely out of the question for the beautiful and ever so elusive sports journalist Tatum Rogers. but Beau’s persistence and a debt with dire consequences might just make her consider moving her goalpost.

"I am a writer that creates stories and characters for black girls and women who never got to see themselves as the protagonist. Whether you were told that your skin was too dark, your hair was too nappy, your body was too big or too tall or all of the above, I’m here to tell you it was all a lie and I have something written just for you. For us."
Wide Open was a cute but, quick read. I'm a sucker for sports themed romances and the author hit it out of the box with this one. Honey, Beau and Tatum were hot! The chemistry between these two was explosive! Tatum was hilarious! Those inner thoughts of hers had me rolling! Beau was hittin' us with the BDE from that text message in the first quarter. Whew chile! Come get me Beau! Tatum has been playing hard to get for years but, when she finds out Beau came to her rescue a second time, she was only too happy to finally admit her feelings for him. Wide Open was a steamy and fun read. The flow and pace of the storyline was good but, the dialogue was everything. Read this book ladies. You will not be disappointed.
Oh-kay Queen Tanzania Glover gave is a cute frienemies to love short. This book was my first read by this author, recommended by one of the beauties in one of my online book chats and it did not disappoint. The Queen that did the narration via audio book definitely added something to the story. I ain't gone lie, I wish there was a man narrator🤷🏽. Outside of that great short. It's bad that Baeu had to win the Super Bowl and party a gambling debt for Tatum to finally spend some time with him outside of her doing her job as a Sports Reporter. At least he finally got the chance to tell her I he really felt about her. The fact that she assumed her daddy had been the one protecting her and getting revenge on her behalf only for him to bust that bubble😳. They got their HEA😁💕 I really wish it was longer would've loved to see how their relationship developed. I'm a sucker for a story ending with a Baby and marriage, lol.
This was a super cute, quick read! The sports theme, the romance, and the plays in the bedroom made for a steamy, fun story.
Glover does an excellent job creating well-rounded characters and telling a complete story in her novellas. The plot of the story was intriguing, the characters were entertaining and relatable!
I would recommend this book to fans of sport-themed romances such as the “Playbook” series by Alexa Martin.
This short story owes me nothing; it was sexy. The cat & mouse game was cute but Beau was not playing- he had been saving Tatum and he was tired of playing! Whew, we Stan a man who knows what he wants.😮💨🤭🤤
This was a cute short story that packed a lot into four football quarters. In the end there were no losers when it came to Beau and Tatum! They both scored big!
Super Short!!!! Super Sassy!!!! Super Sexy!!!!!!!!!!!!
These two needed at least 30 more pages because they were so hilarious together.
Tatum is a feisty sports journalist who finds herself in deep financial trouble. She has run out of people to borrow from, until she discovers that NFL player, Beau, has come to her rescue and she doesn't have a clue why.
Well that is not the only thing that Beau has rescued Tatum from and 30 more pages would have clarified exactly what went down!
Short but sweet! I really enjoyed this. It was a super cute and funny read and I loved Beau and Tatum’s dynamic. I hope we see more of them soon. Loved it!
Tanzania Glover is killing the novella game right now and Beau and Tatum were a fantastic addition! I can’t really say this was an enemies to lovers storyline since the animosity seemed to be one sided. However, I can say the tension and chemistry between these two were explosive!
Tatum was hilarious and her inner thoughts were the same because she just knew she had the upper hand lol. The flow and pace of this story was good but the dialogue was everything. The connections the characters have really made for a great story. We get to experience the banter between Beau and Tatum as well as their interactions with others.
Beau was seriously cocky and I was here for all of it. Finding out his true feelings and thoughts towards Tatum was tragically beautiful and the way it was conveyed within a novella was outstanding.
Yessss I can’t say it enough this book was explosive, sexy, hilarious and heartwarming all at the same time. Tanzania Glover has given us some gems in the past and I hope she keeps them coming!

Wide Open is a short, starring professional sports commentator Tatum Rogers. The daughter of a renowned Rutgers University coach, sis finds herself on the wrong end of a Super Bowl, owing significant amount of money with no feasible way to pay it off. In comes retiring Beau Mitchell to save the day or so it seems.
I really enjoyed this short. Tatum and Beau are lowkey hilarious and the chemistry between them is through the roof. I only wish this was a bit longer so I could see what other kinds of shenanigans they could get it to. Overall, a very quick and enjoyable read. 5 stars.
This was such a quick cute read (actually audiobook)....I love the back and forth between Beau & Tatum....this was a relationship that was actually brewing for a few years. Beau is a professional football player and Tatum's father is the coach, so the two of them were in close proximity for a number of years. The relationship appeared combative, but the truth of the matter was Beau had a secret crush on Tatum for a while and even helped her out of a financial jam. This was really a cute quick story.
The opening line of this book..WHEW!! I wish it was longer but I'll just keep re-reading it when I need my Beau fix haha. I love Tatum and I can relate to her personality so much! These two "enemies" to lovers are hands down my fav couple (coming just below Cam & Tillar). I highly recommend everyone read this book! You did it again, Tanzania!!
This was so cute and I need more. I loved that Tatum was playing hard to get with Beau. But it felt so good for him to finally get his girl. I need more of Tatum and Beau… with all the heat they created together I know sparks was flying in the off season. Definitely excited to see more of them and what’s next
All I can say is "I want more" of Tatum and Beau's story. This was THE hottest novella I've ever read. I think I need a cigarette😂😂😂 It was the silent chase for me. Hats off to the amazing author!
I enjoyed this novella. The characters, plot, and erotica were all great. I loved the aesthetic and how everything fit together, from the title to the chapter titles to the dialogue between the characters; all football related. I think the author did a great job highlighting the sad reality that many women face. We move through the world, constantly feeling a man has an ulterior motive. It’s hard for some of us to picture a man genuinely liking us for who we are all the way through. Tatum automatically assumed that Beau did what he did for her because he wanted to sleep with her, but he honestly and genuinely liked her. I felt like Tatum was being ungrateful when she didn’t apologize to Beau for making assumptions.Like, at least say sorry and then get to thanking him properly. That was the only bone I had to pick with her. She had her guard up, and the title illustrates this point well. Beau had her “wide open” in more ways than one. Overall, another great piece from Tanzania Glover!
I was so sad when this book was over. Could have easily been a full length novel. I won’t lie- my feeling were hurt. I understand Novellas aren’t meant to give all the details but, on this one- we were left hanging on the Beginning and the Future of these characters story. I have it a 5 star rating because the writing was good and drew you in.
Well Ok, Beau‼️..”Wide Open” was a short but cute teflon novella. I have much respect for a man that defends the honor of the woman he’s interested in romantically. …sense of humor…pays her debt…home purchase…chivalrous …helicopter…& 🍭👏🏿👏🏾👏🏿👏🏾👏🏿👏🏾🥰‼️That’s a win win situation 🤎😊‼️
Tatum took a chance and had to pay up! Beau found an opportunity and seized it! Decent short with a little heat. I would have enjoyed a longer novella or full size novel better.
