Blood #3

Addicted to His Blood

Rate this book
At one point blood was all they had.

Being a witch in Multicity is hard enough. It’s a vampire run territory but Finnely enjoys his days there… until his ex, freaking prince of the vampires, moves there.

There has been a change in the world recently. Power struggles abound in the supernatural community and peace is fragile at best.

With Finnely’s coven making him choose a side, he is trapped between two worlds. Does he choose his heart? Or stay with his family?

An A-hole prince, a broken werewolf, a cocky vampire, and a wayward witch shouldn’t work, but maybe their addiction to each other can overpower all.

Addicted to his blood is book 3 in the Blood series. It is best understood if read in order but can be read as a standalone. This is a new poly couple within the blood series world but will continue the storyline from Their Blood. Contains plenty of blood and vampire goodness. Read warning before proceeding.

And here I thought Karter's story was dark, but Finnely definitely takes it up to a new level, one in which I couldn't get enough of. From his coven constantly judging him for his way of life to Cambridge demanding monogamy, I adored how Finnely lives his life with a take no sh*t attitude.

Finnely was a delightfully complex character with his fair share of kinks. He has a soft spot for Rome who initially seems broken but proves himself to be so much more than his trauma. Then there is Jacob, who is straight out of a true crime stalker documentary. And while at first I found him creepy, eventually his quirky stalker ways became endearing, especially since Finnely enjoyed his behavior so much. Finally, there is the delicious push-pull between Finnely and Cambridge, they truly encompass a fine line between love and hate. Combine all of this together for an explosive romance, seriously sexy threesomes, and just a tantalizing build up of passion and chemistry.

This doesn't even get into the plot, where the tensions to out King Rheland extend to other paranormal beings and Finnely's coven is even see the effects. But the coven isn't without its own faults, there were shocking betrayals and battles that left more questions than answers. I was reeling from how tense some of these sense were and couldn't turn the page fast enough. In the end, I adored the journey this story took me on and I can't wait to dive into the next one.

Brea just has a way with writing poly relationships that makes you feel all members of the relationship are not only unique but also loved and cared for. No matter their personality or kinks of choice.
This book follows after Karter and his men, but the mains are those related to Cambridge (Weston's brother, Weston is dating Karter, so kind of Karter's in law?). It feels like forever since I read the previous book, but Brea has no issue with the subtle previously on that don't feel repetitive, so in no part of the book did I feel lost. And can we take a sentence to appreciate Rome? Because he deserves appreciation.

Firecracker

What is it about violence loving, no fracks giving, in your face, snark talking characters that makes them so crazy hot and unforgettable? And that’s just Finnely I’m referring to. Don’t get me wrong Karter will always be my #1 but Finnely and his attitude aren’t far behind. “The world could go to sh1t, and Finnely would still smile because he had three men who were his. And he was theirs.” I loved the action, the intensity, the chemistry, the ferocity and very savageness of the feelings these four men have. Yes, Finnely’s at the heart of it but they’re all mouthwateringly demented on their own. Combined…it’s passion overload. I’m here for it all, from how Finnely gives his all for his men to how they give him back exactly what he needs, when he needs. And if that means, Cambridge will never stop being an a*hole, Jacob will never stop watching and Rome…well, I hope he stays exactly as he is, then I say bring it on. Even if that means I blackout, or burn or bleed, it’s worth everything because these fantastic men are an addiction I readily succumb to.

This was a wonderfully twisted and dark romance. It was hard to tell who was the darkest of the four. Jacob is the definition of stalker, Cambridge is an a** with control issues, even Rome goes all grrr at times but Finnley... Finnley gets turned on by all of it. Lots of smexiness and teases about where the series is going. Plus a check in with everyone's favorite werewolf.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

Book three of the Blood series is intense. Where Weston and his court are made better, gentler killers with the addition of Karter, neither Cambridge nor Jacob is going to change their ways for their witch. Both threaten Finnely repeatedly. Jacob even verbalizes how he would kill the witch.
And Finnely is alright with that. Rather than scare him, their threats turn him on. With his werewolf, Rome, finally coming into his own, Finnely, and this reader, are very satisfied with this harem.
The storyline is even hotter than the prior books. And with the war between the false vampire king and the rest of the paranormal world, this book is bloodier than the others.
Can't wait for book four.

Blood, Magic and Tears

This is the third book in the series, and can be read as a stand alone. I think that you will understand the story and characters a lot better if you read them in order.

I love this series because of the dark sides of the characters and how they bring a little light out in each other. The chemistry is off the charts but so are the emotions. This is not a sentimental story. But it is an exciting and twisted read!

Twisted love

Finnely has found himself in a twist of fate and fallen in love with 3 men. Each offers him something different and fill his needs. Problem is, two are vampires and one is a wolf, which are sworn enemies.
Will they all be able to come together to love and protect Finnely from the dangers they face?
Definitely a series I recommend reading. Please read all warnings, there are triggers within the stories.

good

This was a good book. The overall plot thickens. And I’m glad to see Rome healing. Jacob is a big flag but still hot in his creepiness.

“Psycho never looked so good.”

This book is book 3 in the Blood series, it has a continuing underlying story arch so read the first two before delving into this one. (They are worth it)

In typical Brea fashion there is violence, heat, blood, passion, anger but an underlying romance, sex, biting and more blood. This series is dark but somehow even with messed up, crazed, bloodthirsty characters it’s still captivating and dare I say appealing. (Please note, if there was a drop of actual blood, I’d be a heap on the floor)

The characters:

Jacob: there’s something about him. He’s crazy, really crazy. But there’s something likeable about his stalkerish, bloodthirsty ways. He’s possessiveness has a caring side. He will tear the world down for you and enjoy every moment of it.

Cambridge: controversial maybe but I just wanna slap Cambridge upside the head. His character is an a-hole I know, but argh he drove me mad. I expected him to be more Westonish in my head but his character had a spoilt brat feel. But he may have a couple of redeeming moments. Maybe.

Finnely: the one who has them all. He is hot tempered, fierce and powerful, craves different and twisted things from his partners but has a caring side too. His reactions to each partner are very individual which gives the book another dimension.

Rome: it’s great to see Rome become the wolf he was meant to be. After the second book I was rooting for him and his confidence, strength, healing and true self is good to see. I think we will really get to see more of his character in book 4.

Brea has a habit of taking the reader on a real rollercoaster of emotions. This book was no different I was gripped, disturbed, rooting for the characters and some side characters and she even made me cry. This series just keeps getting more interesting.

Oh and the little comment at the end about the next book is such a tease!

God I love this series

This is probably my favorite installment in possibly my favorite PNR of all time. But when I tell you my mind is still reeling! Brea had once again out done herself.

The story is wild. I wasn't fully sure where this was going to go. I was mainly on board for whatever smutty shenanigans Finnley was going to get in to, but the plot is wild. If you haven't read the previous two books, you're going to want to do that first. Things are alluded to and reference but nothing is really explained, and to fully understand what's going on, the weight of it all, and the relationship between the characters, the background is needed.

This is Dark with a capital D, make no mistake. These characters do some pretty terrible things for some really warped reasons. But when I tell you I was here for all of it! I loved how Rome was just the sweetest little thing. I love how Cambridge was an @sshole but also a really sexy. I love how Jacob is our super sexy sadistic psycho. And I love how Finnly, who is arguably the most sane out of all of them, is down for it all!

This book was fun, exciting, thrilling at one point, and beyond hot! (Y'all know exactly which scens I'm talking about). If you love dark books, this is a series you're really going to enjoy. Five stars because it's messed up but it's still really heartfelt. I also had no idea how much I missed Karter.

Wow...so that happened and it was amazing

I don't even know where to start with this one. This was wonderful in the most twisted, sexy, sweet and slightly horrifying ways. I don't know how I can make it happen but I kind of want to be Finnely lol. This was so good on so many levels. The story itself is fantastic. The characters really jump off the page and I love when characters seem like actual people. The relationships were so well done - Finnely doesn't have the same relationship with Cambridge, Jacob and Rome. Often with menage I find the relationships are exactly the same and I love that Brea doesn't do that. Finnely's relationship with Cambridge, Jacob and Rome is specific to the people they are (including in deliciously twisted ways!). It's a fair assumption that a book by Brea is going to be off the charts hot; this does not disappoint in any way, shape or form. This book has some amazingly dirty, filthy, sexy scenes. Beyond the intensity of those scene though is also a sweetness. I think that's most beautifully exemplified in Finnely's relationship with Cambridge. Let's face it, Cambridge is an a*** yet there are moments when you realised that he has a softer side and that he does care (in his own very special way lol). It's that perfect balance between hot and sweet and dark that works so well.

I received an ARC of Addicted to His Blood. I was blown away. I devoured every page as fast as I could because I just wanted more. Cambridge, Finnely, Jacob and Rome were so dynamite. I related so deeply with Finnely’s personality and how much he struggled with his feelings for all three men. Sometimes one just isn’t enough, but three is just right. He was also trying to balance his coven, work and his secret meetings about how to get rid of the false king. Even brings in the supernatural have to juggle things in their everyday lives. I will say that Jacobs true nature surprised me in the best way. He became my favorite lover by the end of the book. I cannot tell you how much I recommend reading this book. You will not regret it. There was action, hot sex, some tears, and lots of laughs during this dark and addictive story. Now I’m just going to sit here and impatiently wait for the next book to come out because I cannot wait to read it!

This book is best read in order! Definitely not a standalone. Don't worry, if you like dark, twisted characters who enjoy their dark, twisted selves, you'll be happy to read all of the books.

Ms. Alepou's mind is a scary place, but one I love to visit frequently. Her characters, whether depraved, sadistic, and warped, or sweet, insta-love fated mates, capture and hold your attention through the story. The plot of this series continues to the next book, and I'm holding my breath that a certain set of characters is given their own book to focus on, although the next book stays with the four main protagonists of this one. The book is well-written, catches and keeps your attention, and the characters make you feel emotions. I love this series, and can't wait for the next book.

I didn't know what I was missing until I read this book. JACOB! He has jumped to the top of my favorite character list from this series. I definitely want to see more of his stalking habits. Finnely was a (aptly named) firecracker in this book for sure. You have to be strong to deal with Cambridge. I also loved seeing a different side of Cambridge. He was still a jerk but showed a softer side for 2 seconds too. Lol. It was good seeing Karter as well and I loved that him and Finnely are best friends. Especially with Rome's need to be in a pack. Overall, this was a very good book and I can't wait for the next installment.

Definitely Addicted to his Blood!

Oh my my my! Finley is in a fickle with 3 uber hotties. A Vampire Prince, a vampire stalker and a sweet, broken werewolf. Iwas actually wondering if Finley would find a way to coexist with Cambridge's selfishness, Jacob's never-ending obsession, and Rome's neediness.

Finley faces the begining of a war with the false King and will need the help of his men along with Crater and his 4 vampires. and let not forget Cater and Rome's pack that got involved!

I absolutely love this book. The perfect blend of agressiveness, tenderness, and sassiness!

Automatic one-click that DID NOT let me down!

Why is this a 5* book? Because it's perfect? No. It's a 5* because it's fun, it's 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥, it's full of action & intrigue, it's found family & love, it's all the feels (even a few tears), and it's UN-PUTDOWN-ABLE! I WILL be rereading this, once the series is complete and I can run from start to finish in one go. You really must read the first three books before you read this. There's just so much nuance & background that you'll miss out on otherwise.

LOVED it & ABSOLUTELY recommend!

I felt as if I wait for this book for centuries, but I wasn't disappointed! Finnely knowing exactly what he wants and not settling for anything less was just perfection for me. The "broken" wolf Rome finding his place, the (possibly) insane vampire Jacob done resisting temptation and Cambridge, the petulant Prince, who finally caves in order to have what he feels like he deserves. This was simply Kindle melting in the best of ways. The chemistry AND the story unfolding around them just kept getting more intense. All of the stars for sure!

Love this series

I love this series and it's many twisted characters. This is definitely not for the faint of heart. I love how Finnely brings out something in each of his men. I am really sad that Martha died but I get how that sparks Finnely into revenge that might not have happened if she had lived but also he was set on taking the false king down anyways. Plus Dean's betrayal was something I didn't see coming, I thought it was one of the other 2 elders who bombed his apartment.

Each character in this book is so different and vast, yet they somehow work with each other. This author is fantastic at weaving stories together and putting them together so beautifully; while most have dark pasts, it doesn't define who they are.

I would read the other books in the series, but it might confuse all the characters. But I can't wait for book 2, it ended at a perfect place, and while I feel satisfied, that won't last for long.

Masterpiece

Just as with all her other works, Brea leads us on a magical journey of debauchery. And it is just as aepic as the rest. I was sad when I first realized it wasn't more of Karter and his men but finnelly and Rome needed their time to shine and honestly I couldn't have thought of a better way Jacob. ...l I love that creepy stalker character of his. Can't wait for the next book.
