Man With #3

Man with a Castle

Rate this book
I’m Rand Ravenspur, Peer of the Realm, Laird of a Scottish clan, one of the wealthiest men in the world - a billionaire tech guru who spent a lifetime earning the right to have anything, and everything, I could ever want. I built a conglomerate on the foundations of the legacy that had been left for me by the powerful men who’d built it. I paid the prices the world demanded of me - my time, my energy, my heart - and brought an ancient family dynasty into the modern world. And I did it alone, loving every minute of my rise. There wasn’t anyone who could bring me down.
Until I found her.
Sabrina Hughes wasn’t just anyone. She was the sweetest, most genuine woman I’d ever met. Romance author, loyal friend, hazel-eyed goddess. When I laid eyes on her, I found a piece of myself I never knew was missing.
No. She wasn’t just anyone. She made me question everything I ever knew about myself. She was everyone, and everything, I’d ever need again. She made me want to be the same for her and I hated her for that, just not as much as I loved her for it.

I so enjoyed this story! I loved that Rand walked right out of his comfort zone to take a risk on Sabrina. Sometimes, you just need a love-at-first-sight romance story that makes you want to just curl up and sigh happily. This is one of those stories.

Man with a Castle is the third 'Man with' story and it's probably the best yet. For fans of Debra J Falasco it also draws together two series since its hero is Rand, Lord Ravenspur, descendant of Adrian in the Chapel Hall series.
A practical man, Rand was planning a modern-take on an arranged marriage until he saw a photograph of Sabrina. Instinct and longing takes him to America to woo her, but he is short of time. A crime in Scotland has him needing to return before he wants to. Can he convince Sabrina to accompany him.
A beautiful love story where both characters experience a coup de foudre, but where only one has the arrogance to trust it. Rand is one heck of a man, a traditional romantic hero in modern garb that all women long for and lust after.

Another hit in the “Man With” series by author Debra Falasco! As with her previous books, I could not put this book down! Rand is a perfect blend of everything you could want in a man and he is a perfect match to Sabrina! I also love the cross-overs between the other books in the “Man With” series and with Chapel Hall! My only complaint would be I definitely wanted more!

Loved it..

A story of strong emotions, jealousy, betrayel, friendships and of course love. The life of a Lord is difficult at times, that's why finding someone to share it with us so important. Can a commoner be enough? A must read.

Too much inner dialogue in both heads: he is often thinking about his heritage and his future wife's necessary qualities, she is bemoaning her lost cloths, home, and friends. Throughout the book Sabrina is napping, in NY because of the jet lag she suffered from travelling between Las Vegas and NY, in England the 5 hour transatlantic jetlag.
Somehow the plot doesn't flow, too many ideas that are not well interwoven. The conversations are stilted.
My petpeeve are faulty timelines. How difficult can it be to calculate the duration of a flight from NY to London or Edinbourgh and add the time difference? They are leaving NY at 3pm + 9 hour flight + 5 hour time difference, they should arrive in London around 5am; followed by a car drive to his castle they would arrive at...? But by the author's calculation they already arrive at 1am. How did they accomplish that?
Ravenspur Hall was founded 800 years ago, but Rand is still just knighted although he says he is a confidant of the queen and on the same level as the princes. In all those years the family should have been elevated from baron to earl to duke, author do your research!
Sabrina is said to be a successful author, but she acts like a shy college student.
Not my cup of tea.
