Tindra is a fae servant to the queen of Fairfrost. She is a brilliant researcher with a steady job in the palace, but she dreams of running away with her beloved.
They only have one chance for escape.
A dragon.
But the dragons are guarded by the Fairfrost queen’s guards. Only intrigue and trickery will get past them. It goes well… until the queen herself shows up. Now Tindra and her beloved have an even greater chance of getting caught.
If they don’t hurry, they won’t just fail to escape. They’ll be executed.

This is such a fun addition to The Fae of Bitter Thorn series. Full of action, adventure and romance, it has everything I could ask for in a short story. Loved it.
Nice little addition to the Fae of Bitter Thorn to learn about Tindra and Severin. I really wish it were longer because I'd like to know more about Tindra's research and Severin's fixing magic.
this was such a cute little short story. I wish we could've gotten more of their *background* but anything I can get my hands on by Kay l moody I will read.
Such a sweet short story about two Fairfrost Faeries 😍💜 You should read it to know who they’re, and as someone who have read the ARC of Crown of Bitter Thorn, I was like “OH THE REALIZATION” 🤯
For every evil queen, there is a brilliant scientist working behind the scenes to ensure said evil queen wins the battle and becomes high queen of all fairie, or so the legends tell us. A bit over the top? Maybe, but in this upcoming short story by Kay Moody, that's basically the premise. Except the brilliant scientist doesn't really want the queen to win - she wants to take the queen down. She also wants to be with her beloved, although that's forbidden. And she wants to ride a dragon, because, well, who wouldn't? And since this is a short story, I didn't want to give away anything about the plot, but I'm pretty sure I didn't and managed to intrigue all of you...at least, that's what I'm hoping for.
I received an early copy of Dragon of Fairfrost from the author for editorial purposes and reviewed it because everything Kay Moody writes is awesome. And the book cover is pretty. And I never pictured dragons in Fairie for reasons unknown to me since Fairie and dragons are both kind of awesome and should go together. For real. That is all.
The queen of Fairfrost had prohibited anyone from falling in love, but love just happens and Tindra a researcher to the queen had fallen in love and wanted to escape from Fairfrost with her beloved. The only way out was on dragon back but these were heavily guarded but they planned and attempted to do so and thought they might succeed until the queen herself turned up on the scene. If they were caught they would be killed outright. Could they still escape and if they postponed would they ever get the chance again to do so? Was their love doomed to fail right from the start? But love always finds a way in the end and Tindra and Severin found this out for themselves when they lost all they thought was important. Another great book in the Fae of Bitter Thorn series, my only complaint was that the story was too short but I look forward to book 3.
I loved getting another look at Fairfrost during this very, very short novella. Since a lot of things are about to go down with Queen Alessandra, getting another look into this court was a great prelude.
I have a feeling Tindra is going to have a really big role in the next two books of this series, and so will her love.
I definitely recommend reading this between book 2 and 3 because I think it will help readers understand what will happen when we see these characters again.
A nice little addition to the Bitter Thorn series, adding a bit of extra information about Severin and his beloved. Good enough for the fans of this author. I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
Loved this story. There is a choice to be made. Will love be the winner or will a lifetime of research take the top spot? Kay's readers know. Join her group and read this great story!
I love this story. After reading Court of Bitter Thorn I had hoped for more about Severin and Tindra. This story provided more information about them and how they escaped Fairfrost.
I like getting the extra view into parts of the story that we otherwise wouldn't get so see. I just don't connect with this series the way I wish I did. I do, however, adore Severin, and he might be one of the best things in this series.
