Nothing goes better with chocolate than murder-soaked cherries…

With a kitchen to themselves, a metric ton of cherries to soak in cherry liquor, and music all around, it’s shaping up to be an exciting weekend. Until the star couple of the contest turn up dead on the night of the event. With the local sheriff completely out of his depth, Ruby and Bee are more than happy to help. It’s just a pity that the killer has noticed…
Can our favorite duo solve the murder mystery before they’re added to the list of victims?

It’s never a dull moment for these two ladies! As Bee and Ruby are getting ready for catering the Yesterday Ballroom Dancing competition, they witness a car hit by another car. The resulting crash kills the couple in the car who oddly enough were the hopeful contenders expected to win the competition. Was this so-called “accident” actually a murder? Who was driving the car that struck their vehicle? Why didn’t they stop?
With the local sheriff obviously not comfortable with investigating a murder, Ruby and Bee are more than happy to jump into this one and help find out what really happened. But can they catch the killer before they end up victims too?
Overview: Ruby and Bee are still in Yesterday, Pennsylvania. Now, they are catering a ballroom dancing competition. Before the competition however, the Stars--the winners of previous competitions--are run off the road in a fatal car accident. Guess who witnessed the incident? Yep, Ruby and Bee. Can they solve this case, while wowing the people who hired them to cater the event? Let's find out.
Dislikes: Ruby and Bee outright lie in this book. I prefer my protagonists to have a bit of integrity. It's not much fun to run across this situation.
The Stars' former assistant is a bit of a cad. Why people keep fighting over guys like this is beyond me.
Likes: The town of Yesterday has really started to accept the Bite-sized Bakery. They called Ruby and Bee locals.
If you need to know anything, just talk to Maddie. She's the gossip queen of the city.
Greg Simpson truly just wanted to help.
Conclusion: This is still a good story. It's a matter of tastes however when it comes to the lying. It's a good book for those fans of bakery inspired cozy mysteries. Enjoy the read.
Bee and Ruby are preparing desserts for the unveiling of a status in the town square. While serving the desserts, a member of the town council and the esteemed Ballroom Dancing Club, invites Bee and Ruby to cater for The Yesterday Ballroom Dancing Club Competition. Enjoying a nice evening, Bee and Ruby witness a car being tagged, crashes. Unfortunately, the couple killed in the crash was the star dancers in the contest. Was it an accident or murder? Join Ruby and Bee as they investigate who did this and the motive behind it. This was an enjoyable read. The plot and characters were well-written, making you feel like you are friends. This was a perfect cozy mystery with just the perfect amount of humor, mystery, intrigue, quirky characters, and adventure that will keep any reader completely engaged.

I've read a few in this series (out of order) and I always thoroughly enjoy them. They can be read out of order without spoiling anything or being unable to follow the plot, which always helps in a long-running series.
Ruby and Bee are a little bit older and wiser and they make a great detective team. This book was no different than the others, in that the murder mystery was well-plotted and solved without being too complex to not fit into an hour and half read or so. Point always does a good job with the supporting characters as well.
If you like shorter cozy mysteries with engaging characters and a good, easy to follow plot, you'll like this and others in the series, all of which are available on Kindle Unlimited. I will read more by the author (and really should go back and read the whole series in order!).
Another fun and hilarious mystery with my two favorite bakers, and this time it was right after a commemorative radish statue was put up but before the big local ballroom dancing competition. There were plenty of suspects, so the minute Ruby saw that "let's investigate" gleam in Bee's eyes, the girls were off and running.
The showdown was crazy, and Bee was right in the thick of it. Good thing they both were there. I'd started suspecting the person eventually, but at first I thought it was someone else. At least the ladies are being treated like the heroes they are when they solve a mystery in this town. Hopefully their days of getting blamed are over! Always anxiously awaiting the next book to borrow on KU!
Ruby and Bee are asked by Mrs. Colman, the head of the Yesterday Ballroom Dancing Club, to cater the desserts for the upcoming competition. That night they witness the death of the two top ranked competitors, Anna and Joel Starr. They decide to investigate. During their investigation they did up some salacious information on the Starr's assistant Mike which eventually leads them to the killer.

Ruby and Bee are still in Yesterday and witnesses the actual murder firsthand when an aspiring dance couple is run off the road. Is it a matter of stiff competition, the stealing of a former dance partner, blackmail, or infidelity that resulted in the latest death. With a green Sheriff and Maddie who is just as eager to get involved in solving the mystery, for once, Ruby and Bee feels accepted and at home.

Cute series. Easy and quick to read. The main characters are 2 women working together in a traveling dessert food truck (going to new towns for a month or two, then moving on). They are complete opposites in personality, age and background, but are the best of friends. There were several red herrings in this story and a surprise villain at the end. If you like strong women characters, friendships, small New England towns and different settings, then this is the series for you.
A ballroom dance contest is happening in Yesterday. Bee and Ruby are catering the dessert there, but first, they witness a car crash into the newly revealed statue of a radish. They find out the couple in the car crash was the raining ballroom dancing couple that everyone was sure to win the contest. But who was the person driving the other vehicle that caused the crash and where did they go? Was it really an accident or murder? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Suspense, twists and turns, mystery and murder fill the story line and keep you turning the pages. The characters are fun, easy to get to know, engaging and entertaining. The story flows smoothly from page to page and keeps you entertained until you read the last word. A perfect cozy mystery for a weekend read.

These are number 16,17,18 in the series of Bite Sized bite books. These two gals have a food truck that has been converted into a bakery. They sell wonderful sweet treats to the town folk. They travel around to small towns selling their products. Of course they solve murders along the way. They get an interesting view of people. They are short but lots of fun. Enjoy reading them.

Ruby and Bee are still hanging out in Yesterday. They have been hired to provide desserts for the dance competition. Just before the competition the top dance couple are killed in a hit and run, right in front of Ruby and Bee. Who knew dancing could be deadly. Really enjoyed this bite sized mystery. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Ruby and Bee are still running the bakery food truck in Yesterday. The small town is in the middle of a pair of dancers who were killed when their car was pushed into the new radish monument in town. A fun quick read with more of the small town folksiness.
The author has taken us back to spend time with our friends, Ruby and Bee. When they actually see a murder take place, they have no choice but to help the inexperienced sheriff try to solve the murder.

Another good entry in the bite-sized bakery series. A dance competition comes to town and one of the couples is murdered so of course Ruby and Bee are going to be involved in solving the case. Looking forward to their next adventure.
Car crash into new radish statue with Bee and Ruby as witnesses, a dance competition, dancing pairs, three judges and an assistant all possible suspects. Yesterday is never boring for this Bakery food truck pair
