This is a story about a young woman who goes to work for her father at his accounting firm...the young lady is gifted with number...so needless to say, the top clients of the firm want her to take over their accounts....She has an encounter with a handsome man at a club and a few days later, she finds out that he's one of her father's top clients....Danae' & Cassian find their way into a situation where they're discreetly hanging out and hooking up....there's a lot of drama to say the least and after months of hanging out and hooking up, the infamous playboy and the good girl discover they each have feelings for one another. There's a bit more drama, then a break-up and next the couple decide to get back together...then more drama and another break-up...and finally they get back together...but there's still a little drama left...really not a bad story, there are a few inconsistencies...Jakobi was phenomenal as always...BUT, that female narrator was absolutely terrible...she mispronounced words and her pitch and tone were terrible...at times it was hard to distinguish which character was speaking...This would have been absolutely incredible to me if Jakobi had narrated alone, he really saved the book for me. Narration is Everything!

This was the first book I have read by this author and it was spectacular. I can definitely tell this isn't her first rodeo, this book is 🔥. It is a page turner for sure. I am glad that Amazon suggested this book because I needed to read Cassian and Danae's story. The description of different scenes is this book was written so well I felt like I was watching a movie. They were so vivid in my mind.
I feel like Adina and Christian have a story to tell. It would be great to read it. I would also love for Danae's father to find love. This is a magnificent read, I most definitely recommend it.

This was just ok. So many tropes were added buy not fleshed out. There was no chemistry between Cassian and Danaë. I did enjoy hearing Jakobi as the narrator.

I loved that it was a standalone!!!
It was good with a nice little twist there towards the end. However, Danae, definitely worked my nerve, always trying to run away from her problems. I was like grow up already.

Danae was like a breath of fresh air. She loved hard and once she landed eyes on Cassian she was smitten and there was no turning back. Cassian had his wall up but the intriguing Nae had his attention and wanted her for one night..... But one night change your life forever. Definitely worth the read job well done

First time reader of this author and it was difficult to finish. *READ BY AUDIOBOOKS*.
I enjoy erotica and sex scenes immensely but found myself saying out loud, ‘how many ways can you write being tied up, smacked on the ass, choked and controlled?!’ Redundancy began to bore me. I’ve read some erotica/BDSM/poetry which raised my inner body temperature to a 3- alarm fire because the words were lyrical to all of my senses while reading them. I didn’t get that from this book. I get BDSM and I get the thrill of having someone else control in the bedroom but everything?! I interpreted Cassion’s control over Danai outside of bedroom (work, not allowing her to move when he held her waist) unappealing. However I also understand the writer’s attempt of building up Cassion’s role as the (I won’t give it away).
Unless there is a free book or I check her books out of the local library, I wouldn’t put her on my list read list.

Ok read but the kinks were a little beyond my league....
I enjoyed this read but I was a little taken back by some of the kinks enjoyed in this story. I always down for a little extra fun but the heavy interest in bodily fluids is not one of them for me. The transitions were a little off too. At some points I would have to go back and reread a paragraph because they would be in two different places without a transition explanation. One sentence they're in an office and the next they are having dinner at a restaurant. Very confusing at times. It also got a little corny towards the end. Cassian started off as this brooding no nonsense thug, then quickly turned into a love sick sap. The transition was a little juvenile and didn't match his character description. Other than that this was a okay read.

Danae and Cassian were so good for each other and such a vibe to read about. I absolutely loved Cassian and was just as frustrated with him, respectfully. Lol. He loved him some Danae and reading about him trying to convince himself of anything else was comical. It was so obvious that these two were meant to be. They fit together on a sexual and boss like way. I thought the whole play on the innocent accountant and the undercover mafia boss was cute. The extra love scenes and the BDSM parts were intense- I was literally reading with my jaw on the floor. Whew. 🔥🤭I enjoyed this read so much and I loved that it wasn’t all innocent, there was so much drama- wow! Very good and complete story!

3.85... Let me say that this is a standalone book ,which is nice. I would also like to give a round of applause to the author for the different sexual aspects of the story, hot and enjoyable. The story moved slow and the author style of repeating parts to speak from the other character was not a fav of mine. At times the story was just slow it would pick up and move then slow. It is a love story with a few twist (I dont want to give it away) . My fav was Ms Adina! They is a BFF that everyone should have she was always the support, love, and fun. All in all a good read.

Now Cassian and Danae they really enjoyed being “nasty”. The “nasty” the better and I loved their kink. Cassian was not playing with his kinkiness.
Cassian soul was cold due to the lost of his daughter and was very closed off. Here comes Ms. Danae approaching Cassian with a “dare” and let me tell you she didn’t realize a “beast” she was approaching lol 😂.
I’m all for having best friends but sometimes you need to keep some of your business private. Danae told her nest friend Adina everything and Adina was not disclosing her life one iota. Sometimes you also don’t know each other take in point Imperia situation and Adina just keep gossiping Danae personal business. I was not a fan of Adina the best friend. She irked me.
Danae dad was a darn sugar daddy and that situation with Kamora he dodged that bullet IJS. Jealous heifer that was Kamora.
There was some bumpy roads between the love birds on Cassian end because he did not want to tell Danae about his family. All ends that ends well, and the couple got their HEA. Their love for each other flourished even though they met unconventionally ❤️. I got so much more to say but don’t want to give away too much LOL 😂 . One more thing I wanted to know who is the mother for his half sister. There was not much details on that.

Soooo good! A dare on a night out with her bestie, turned Danae's life upside down! Approaching Cassian was scary, exhilarating and fun all at the same time. But he was a bit rude, and when he told her she couldn't handle him, it intrigued her. Cassian, a man of few words, but still "the man"! Didn't know what to think of this woman approaching him, talking reckless and propositioning HIM! It left him curious, deep in thought and anxious to learn more about this woman.
These two were intense! You could feel the passion and lust floating off the pages, when they made eye contact. Come on nasty Nae! 😃 Their chemistry was 🔥! Both not wanting anything serious, but they could not or would not stay away from each other! I wanted to smack Cassian a few times for some of the stupid decisions he made, but at least he was smart enough to come and right his wrongs. It was beautiful to see Danae break down all the walls that Cassian had built, and soften his heart. That damn Kamora was a bih! Danae should have let Adina get with her ass! Loved the relationship Danae had with her father.❤️ Hope to see a story about Adina and Cassian soon.

Hummm….Capo!!!
This was truly a work of art. A wonderful story with a well researched topic.
Two people on different sides of the tracks, meets and despite everything got together.
Danae at first was a strong, resilient woman but at one point, she started to show signs of weakness until at about 90% in the book where she picked herself up and return to the original person, stopping my annoyance to her. At least she was right about the witch.
Cassian was supposed to be the head honcho, the boss but with the story not really focusing on the mafia/extra curricular activities, we simply found an alpha, controlling man with a soft spot. A big, strong capo teddy bear is what he is.
This was truly a love/romance story with two opposing characters.
Kamora and Imperia both got what they deserve, specially Kamora. Sad about Zietta, but Christian and Adina made up for it…
Missed reading this author and now that I am back reading her, I am going to binge reading all of her new work so I could be all caught up . Also I must say that the effort of being different and finding the right editor or the right proof reader makes a big difference.

Cass and Nae
Miss Jenesequa doesn't disappoint at all. These two were funny, driven and sexy as hell. The way that Cass handed out punishments to Nae had me feeling some type of way. But they were "Life happenes when you are busy making other plans" a person. Nae wasn't looking for anything serious due to her heartbreak and Cass wasn't looking for anything due to his cold heart but they found something in each other. It's they knew no matter what happened they would be back because their love was sooo intense. It couldn't be denied ny them or the people around them. Of course they went thru their little breaks but nothing or no one could keep them apart. Now I thought Cass was giving Imperia a hard time for something she couldn't control but honey showed them true colors baby. Now Kamora got what was deserved, she took things too far. But that great love always come in handy!!! Great read, would maybe like a story on Chris and Dina

Miss Jen never ever disappoints. This one here. Loving these stand-alone books. What a man in Cassini did she create..gonna have to play truth or dare with my friends in public.😀 Dense. Liked her because she had it going on for herself in life despite having a financial backer in her father. Renee was correct in her thoughts all alk g about Majors I would not have apologized either after those comments. That plot twist Kamora had tried just to get Trent to marry and have kids wow was she dumb.. The love that Cardiac had cor his family and the S&M / LOVE he brought out of himself and Denae was so powerful.. Whew. I was sweating just reading their love scenes. As I said. Miss Jen never disappoints in her writing of all characters their growth and the supporting cast.. Could Christian. Adobe and denaes assistant be in the works??? Hmmm...

Wow. Can I just say that I enjoyed Cass and Nae? Can I? Even though they both got on my nerves at some point and time, I enjoyed their journey to HEA. I was happy when Cass worked through his relationship fears and realized that Nae was it for him. That Kimora🤦🏽♀️. The nerve..she got what she deserved. Some women are always trying to change men, but some men just don’t want to change🤷🏽♀️. Imperia..chick was wrong on all levels. There are not enough words for me to express how enamored I am with Capo/Cass/Jakobi! I could have listened to Jakobi perform this book solo and been oh so satisfied. This story was so unexpected. Had I not been warned of the content, just by the cover alone I would not have guessed the freakiness of New To Me Author Miss Janesqua. whew! Not only was it VERY erotic, aka na$ty, but there was a lot of depth to the overall story. I did not connect with Danai(sp?) and that may be because the narrator's voice and performance did not match the content to me. Her narration was perfect for Kimora (the stepmother) Very high brow. I still thought this was an amazing audiobook and Cami's performance was great, but did not fit the role, if that makes sense. I am looking forward to more books by Miss Janesqua, I really like her style.

i wasn’t sure what to expect…
I wasn’t sure quite what to expect even with a title that pretty much summarized the book but this was really an enjoyable read by a new-to-me author. I’ve never read Black mafia romance in the typical mafia sense and this was a great entry into the sun-genre. I enjoyed Cass and Danaë romance from their meeting on a dare to their business relationship to all the various dramas they go through because Cass is somewhat emotionally stunted. I thought they were both basically likable characters (given that this IS a mafia romance so the hero is morally questionable). I loved that Danaë was great at her job and confident, but also vulnerable and with a little immaturity at times just to make her not absolutely perfect. I enjoyed the secondary characters and the wider plot of the book. I definitely want to read more from this author.

Repetitive Points of View
There was so much potential but the story fell flat at every turn. The 2 star rating is strictly for the storyline itself which was promising had it been better written. Don’t get me wrong, the writing starts out great but after the first chapter it’s as though someone else takes over. The main male character starts out very interesting but after the first “spit in her mouth” and “slurp it all up” sex scene I was just left asking, WHY????? Not to mention the overuse of everyone including those not in the “mafia” calling the main character “capo” or “head capo” I was just left Disappointed. I’m not sure what else to say but I imagine with a little more growth this author’s writing will get better.

💥 Book Review: A Love That Melted A Capo’s Cold Heart
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Love, loyalty, and lethal twists
This book had me all the way in from page one. I came for the cold-hearted capo—but stayed for the wild, emotional rollercoaster that unfolded. The twists? Baby, I did not see some of that coming. Every chapter gave just enough to keep me hooked, guessing, and holding my breath.
The love story? Intense and deep. I loved watching those icy walls come down as real feelings grew—messy, passionate, and so worth the chaos. The author did a beautiful job blending romance and danger without ever losing the emotional core.
If you love your love stories with grit, heart, and a little gangster drama on the side, this one’s gonna hit.🔥💔💍

Miss Jenesequa another 🔥 book. Nae and Cass is one of my favorite freaky characters. The animalistic and nasty sex they had was off the chain. I wanted to beat both of them when they knew their feelings got involved and they just tried to play it as casual sex. I wanted to whoop Cass near the end when he broke up with Nae only to realize he was in love and that was his woman. I'm glad they worked it and they married and we know had one child Little Frankie yet we know she wanted to get pregnant again now. I saw the glimmer of a relationship with Chris and Dina. I see a spinoff with Nae and Cass popping up with her pregnant. Good job. I'm giving you another⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Fabulous Story
Wow! This was my first book from this author. I must say Miss Jeneseque, you did yo thang on this one. I truly couldn’t put the book down. Now, like some of the other reviews mentioned, the spitting thing was just over-kill-kink. However, Cass and Danae are just so well matched. They are both kinky as hell, with very high sex drives. The only other thing that was off 🤨 was black girl don’t usually mind being call bitches, but this calling her a slut must be coming from Cassian, who is of a mixed race of Italian and black. Believe me when I say none of these took away from the fabulous story that developed. I will be reading more from this author.

It seems like it’s just so hard for me to rate any of Miss Jenesequa’s books 5-stars after reading “I Got You” — it was sooooo good.

I listened to the audiobook and found that Jakobi Diem was stellar, as always. But there are negative reviews about Cami Darian here - don’t let them dissuade you from the audiobook. I listen to several audiobooks, at least 8 a month, and Darian does a good job.

Alexa play Nasty by Tinashe, that was Danae’s energy when she was with Cassian. They met on a dare but when he saw her in her element as a straight laced accountant he had to have her. He has some pretty freaky proclivities but little did he know she was down for whatever he had to offer and more. A ton of drama takes place, lots of sex and the HEA.
The audiobook was disappointing because it could have been excellent. The male narrator (Jakobi) was even better than he normally is but that female narrator should never do romance and certainly not any sex scenes. She almost ruined the book for me. It’s a good story though.

Loved it!!!
Miss Jenesequa you have done it again this story was so good with minimal drama and not all the typical drug related can’t let go exes drama..Cassian and Danae were great together I am so glad that everything worked out for them!! Daddy Trenton was was mad as hell when he found out what Kamora had done but she got exactly what she deserved in the end.. I would love to get a story on on Christian Acardi and Adina those two were thick as thieves I could sense the attraction there because they had become so close..

Great Read
This book was so good from beginning to end. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. It flowed so smoothly and I'd finished before I realized it. Danae and Cassian, were drawn to each other at first sight. Their chemistry was explosive and that flame, continued to ignite. I loved them together and she exactly what he needed, to melt his heart. So loved how everything turned out and; hopefully, Christian will get a story. Highly recommend this standalone. Great job Miss Jenesequa.

Great read
I so loved this book. Yes Danae drive me crazy at times knowing she was addicted to Cass even before he got a chance to touch her. Imperia was nothing but woman scorned for her to do what she did. I was happy that Cass and Danae was able to get their love story on track. Kamora was the worst kind of person to do what she did to get Trenton to be with her. I wish we were able to get glimpse in whether or not Adina and Christian was able to become a couple. Keep doing what you do.

Just Plain Good
This was maybe my second time reading the work of this writer and I'm wondering why I've not sought her out sooner. The story brings us in on a dare and from then on its fire works.The writer gives us two characters that are perfectly matched for one another. The chemistry is so good that you can imagine seeing them in action.The writer gives is a full course meal,to let you know that this store.y is a full meal. Take a moment and get full from the sexiness of Cassini and Danae

Loving Capo & Nae
Omg I freaking loved this book. Mr Cassian just do something to me. He definitely is BAE 😍😍😍 I just loved the way He was with Nae especially in the bedroom. Their chemistry from the beginning was so stronger. I’m so happy he didn’t let Nae get away. I’m not surprised at all about kamora I knew she was always jealous of Danae and Trenton daughter/father relationship. Cassian being Head Capo was so freaking sexy to me lol. I hope this isn’t the last of reading about these two!
