Alistair made a single wrong assumption and now he, Thoreaux, and Caesar battle for their lives in a cruel set of games designed to weed out the weak. Losing means death.
The game’s giants aren’t the only threat.
The corporation’s CEO is hunting them too.
Faced with the horrible reality of an entire race born into servitude, Alistair now only has one option.
Find a way to free them…
…or die trying.
You’ll love this epic struggle in Book 4, because the diabolical games they must endure keep you wanting to know what’s next.
I used to deliver pizza. I was pretty good at it, too. I mean, it's not that hard, but if I'm not going to brag, who is, right? Anyways, so I'm delivering pizza while I'm in college, and my boss has been in the pizza industry like six years. He's supposed to graduate from college this year, and I ask him, what are you going to do after college? We're all supposed to go out and conquer the world right after college, so this guy has to have some kind of plan.
He looked at me like I was delusional.
"I'm a writer, man."
Those four words changed my life more so than anything else ever spoken to me. I'd always written, since I was twelve participating in online-wrestling forums in which you acted out your character. I wrote because it came naturally. Never once, in the entirety of my nineteen years did I think that writing could be a career though, until a Pizza Sage said those four words to me.
So what did I do? I went home and wrote a short story and immediately understood that I was the greatest writer to ever touch a keyboard. I brought it to the Pizza Sage and he told me what anyone could have told me--it was horrible. I might be dumb, probably am, but I'm also tenacious.
I spent the next seven years writing almost every day. My first novel grew to the length of 40,000 words, then I threw it away. My second novel grew to 140,000 words. I didn't throw it away, but it was rejected about 50 times by agents. My next novel ended up at around 55,000 words, which I showed to a few friends and shelved. Then I wrote Dead Religion, which is the only reason I have an author page at Amazon.
I have had four short stories published, paid and unpaid. 'Effects May Vary' won an award that was voted on by readers, which was pretty cool.
I'm currently getting my Masters in Business at the University of Georgia's Terry School of Business. I'm doing this in order to not deliver pizzas but still keep the lights on. I have a girlfriend who will soon be my fiancé, and after ten years, I imagine she's ready for that title.
Read these books some of the best money you'll ever spend.
This whole series are some of the best books I've ever read. I have read many books, this story line, with all the books that he's written into it, are some of the greatest books I've ever read. Stories are excellent, the fighting is excellent, the thinking going behind the story is excellent, it's just an outstanding story arc. Honestly could charge $25 a book, and it would still be a good deal.
I never get tired of reading what Alistair is destroying next for the awful things they are doing to others. This time he took a whole planet the made Gigantes for the express purpose of being a slave to others. The planet was making a fortune because they charged so much for the Gigantes they sold.
No romance and the F-bomb was used 21 times.
As for the narration: John Skelley is perfect for this series.
Against impossible odds the trio led by Prometheus with the help of Nero overcome obstacle after obstacle to make there way to the center of this planet in there quest to free the Gigantes. Will he be able to save his two friends and defeat this last obstacle? This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and is hard to put down.
It has been a while since I finished reading the 3rd book in this series so I reread it. I once again fell in love with the story and characters. This book was even better. The only regret I have is that the story will end at some time. I do look forward to rereading the entire series as soon as I finish the last book.
Overall great story and concept. Would easily be a 5 star book if not for the lacking traits of the main character. He is supposed to be a "brilliant warrior and strategist" but consistently does the dumbest things that fly right in the face of that "brilliance". I will continue reading because everything else about this story is fantastic, but this MC is just painful to read.
This was a rough book to read, as Pro has to make too many decisions based on what if & too little knowledge. But the Author pulled it off splendidly; I am a fan totally now. Looking quite forward to Prometheus Unites. I'll probably read it in one sitting!
Lots and lots of action makes me a happy reader and although dark and deep in this book particularly I really enjoyed it a lot. Bit sad that this isn't going to be a massive series 20 books long but at least I know im moving closer to the stories end.
Great story and great characters I really like this author and what he has created. Granted the first book started off slow but wow it picks up and is hard to put down
I enjoyed this book the most of the books. It's pre-history on the two kids/leaders and also the nero character I enjoyed. The voice acting for him and the rest of the staff were spot on. This is a pretty great series and I'm enjoying GAs rendition of it.
Alistair continues to evolve and things just keep dying. Eventually, I believe he'll get to his wife. I also trust that with Anderle's name on the cover, we will not see any type of Thomas Covenant devolution. Which is why I read Anderle to begin with!
Really well written. This series is much more focused on the super soldier aspect of sci-fi Ra her than ship and space battles. A tad unrealistic when you think of the technology involved in this universe. But none the less this series is great.
Fun as usual. The revelations are good, and the action is excellent! I feel that the overall plot is moving a bit slow for my liking, but I am enjoying the characters and the book's plot. I hope to see this series get more into the war part of things so we can really see what everyone is capable of.
