I kept having points deducted from articles I write, for misuse of commas. Exasperated, I found this big blue book. I probably should have done slightly more research, as commas comprise only a small handful of pages in this hefty compendium. With that said, I absolutely loved poring over this text! Chock full of fundamental English grammatical know-how, it yet remains accessible even to the comma confused folk such as myself. The book managed to convey it all without ever being too technical or unclear in its decriptions. I used up two highlighters on this bad boy as I soaked up all the knowledge it had to offer. I actually thoroughly enjoyed the quizzes provided at the end of the text. By taking them, you really get a feel for what areas you have mastered and which still need a bit of tending. I recommend that anyone with a love of writing grab a copy of their own. My use of commas has sadly not improved.
This is a really pared down, bare bones rule book on grammar, but it isn’t laid out in a way that I think would be helpful for someone to learn from without any companion sources.
An entertaining and educational review/relearn of one of my favorite subjects; a reminder of how much I've forgotten! I especially enjoyed the quizzes.

One of the best grammar books I've worked through to date. It was just mind-blowing and I'm definitely going to read through this one daily until the rules attached themselves to my non-English speaking brain.
A must for not just non-English speakers. Love the language of the book and the flow of the sentences. It isn't as boring as the Chicago Manual, that is for sure.
Really great adding this one to my grammar collection.
This is a very good book for people that are trying to master the art of writing. I have read several books on writing and this one is among my top three. The examples are well placed, information is accurate, and the explanations elucidate the material well.
