Some religions especially the one whose followers self proclaim themselves as peacefuls always stay ahead in capitalising on any opportunity they get to create riots in the name of blasphemy and what not. This book highlights another such incident of the brainwashed breed by weaving an intricate love story between a couple and a never ending quest to find the long lost love interest of the male protagonist.

The story is set in the backdrop of Babri demolition . Shivam loses his everything due to the carnage caused by the mad mob of people belonging to a particular sect as always . Not only his parents but he apparently lose the love of his life as well Aaina. Fast forward many years he is settled in Delhi still trying to recuperate from the horrors of the past when one fine day he got a hint that Aaina might still be alive. The remaining story forms the journey of his interesting hunt .

The plot is on expected lines but narrated quite well. There are books which might not enthrall you with the normal storyline they offer but keep you glued in the anticipation of what is to come. This novel falls in the same category. The characterisation is done well though I expected a better closure.

Overall an appealing read

This is a simple love story of two people Shivam and Aaina who got separated by faith but determined to find love. The story is set in the '90s which gives it a more interesting touch with Bollywood songs and the clashes about Babri Masjid.

Shivam has lost everything he once held dear including the love of his life Aaina. Just when their love was blossoming even with the growing religious tensions, they got separated due to some tragic incidents. Shivam then shifts to Delhi and starts his boutique and is living his life like a zombie.

Just when he has lost all his hopes of finding his love, an incident changes his life yet again. He gets a chance to meet his love Aaina again. Will he be able to meet her or will he miss her yet again? Are they destined to be together?

I loved the way the story is taken forward and the character of Babloo is very sweet and funny. We see in this story to what extent a person can go to get his love back. Nothing in the world can stop a lover when he is determined to find his love and bring her back into his life. I loved the cover very much. A very touching and interesting story that started off slowly but picked up its pace after few pages. If you are looking for a simple, engaging and short read then this one is for you.

Pankaj Dubey’s One String Attached is a typical Bollywood romance story set in the early 2000s with the memories of 1992 during the demolition of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.

The story started at a good pace with an enjoyable plot setting. However, his unique story turned into a common one very soon as the story shifts back to the present after the introduction of Aaina and Shivam’s Ayodhya departure.

The story is a fun read and has some distinctive elements. The narrative style is decent, and the author has presented the actual situation in many occurrences. This book is suitable for teens and young audiences, as their idea of love is more simplistic, rather than deep-seated emotions and expanded like adults.

Dejected , he shits to Delhi, and starts a new life. After many years, he gets a hint that Aaina is still alive. The backdrop of the story is Ayodhya, Delhi and Dubai. The timeline keeps on shifting from present to past and vice-versa. Is she really alive ? Will they meet? Do they still love each other? What turn will the story take. One String Attached by Pankaj Dubey

The concept of love has always confused me. Sometimes a relationship of many years crumbles down as if it was nothing and people move on. Sometimes just a ray of hope is enough to sustain a relationship. One string attached by Pankaj Dubey is a love story that falls into the second category.

The story is about Shivam and Aaina. Written in a non-linear narrative form, the story takes us away to the pious land of Ayodhya. The love story between the two of them just started to bloom when a certain event snatches everything that Shivam loved leaving him alone in the whole world. Years after, sitting in his tailoring shop in Delhi, Shivam receives something that instills hope of Aaina being alive. Shivam stitches a journey that takes him all the way to Dubai in search of his love.

Being familiar with Pankaj Dubey’s writing, I knew that for a fact that Pankaj sir knows how a character should be woven. His love stories have always impressed me because it feels very realistic. He is one of the few Indian writers who can do good with this genre.

The ride through this story was a roller coaster one. I was rooting for Shivam and praying for his well-being the whole time. He somehow radiated the feeling of being someone very close. The best part about the book is ought to be the friendship between Shivam and Babloo. Babloo is my favorite character in the book.

Keeping all these things in mind, this book could not surpass Trending in love, another book by Pankaj sir. The events in the story fell flat in the second half of the book. Nothing could actually surprise me or tempt me there. The narration which enticed me, in the beginning, was missing which was a bit disappointing.

But you can definitely pick this book up for a one-time read. The characters are going to be cherished by you. And when you turn the last page around, you will either miss your special one or give him/her a call!

•• This book is a fun filled story with love and some adventure. The best part is, it happening, 3 decades ago. It definitely is funsome for readers and makes a smooth, dramatic and a gratifying read. It holds a pleasant 90's bollywood film's zing. There isn't anything odd that I have found while reading. Infact I found this book more interesting than the author's previous book.

•• The author brought in light, the demolition of Babri masjid in this story. He weaved the events in the story well, prior to and after the event. I'm so impressed with his style of writing too. Found the beginning uneven and mystifying, but, eventually it turned out to be good.
Aspects in the story - Patriarchy, enslavement (a bit)

•• 𝘿𝙊 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝙍𝙀𝘼𝘿 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘽𝙇𝙐𝙍𝘽 on the book if you want to pick this up, because that might be a spoiler and you might miss the essence of the tale.( I have experienced it & very much regret that)

•• If you wanna read a book after a tiring and boring day, go for this! Infact I recommend this to everyone. The cover page is so charming! And that feel of reliving in the 90's is heavenly 😇

You will always find your way with the one you are meant to be with even if they are miles apart.

This was my first read by Author Pankaj Dubey and I completely enjoyed it. Shivam and Aaina who are two ends of the pole fall in love with each other when destiny is going to tear them apart. Shivam whose love is portrayed so strong have known Aaina only through her burqa and yet he crosses oceans to find her. Her blue eyes are what keeps him mesmerised.

It was a light and a fun read although in the end it actually melted my heart. Seeing the protagonist suffer so much just to get his girl back was actually heart warming because lovers like this are a rare novelty now a days. The plot was gripping and I read the whole book in just a day because it kept the curiosity built up. The best part of this book was that it was a light read in some parts and a bit heavy one in another which kept the balance and the pace of the plot.

I enjoyed the starting phase and the end one the most. There were some grammatical issues which can be over looked and also some parts were a bit over dramatic which can be taken in a fun and light way.

I would definitely recommend this one if you love reading light, funny and romantic books.

The story was so interesting and moving. The story begins where Shivam thinks of the riots that happened on Dec 06 which turned his life into a living hell. This book shows how violence in the name of religion can destroy the lives of people. I really felt bad for the happenings in the life of Shivam. Babloo is such a good friend who was with him all the time in need and I like the characters a lot. A small ray of hope can change the lives, that was the change that made him travel to different parts in search of his love Aaina after 10 years.

The Kurti he stitched for his love 10 years ago reached him and made him search for her. The flashback was also so good. I loved the ending. The writing is so simple and loved the way of narration and the characters in the story.

Ravi and his feeling of saying truth to Shankar Bhai or dying is something that we can see in real life too. When we can't live up to others' expectations we take wrong moves. There are a lot of people who live and stay alone in some other country making money for the survival of their family and their happy living. The second half of the book also shows the difficulties faced by many people working abroad like slaves.

Overall, it was a good read. Read to know the journey of Shivam to find Aaina.

It is a fictional plot based on a very famous town named Ayodhya. The book focuses on two characters mainly, these two characters are named Shivam and Aaina. They come across each other and fell in love. Unfortunately, they belong to different religions and in India, it matters a lot. Aaina is a college student and Shivam is an aspiring tailor. Finally when the pair thinks of getting the things serious and confess their love, it was a misfortunate day as the peace of the town is hampered and Shivam losts Aaina.
Heartbroken Shivam shifts to Delhi but in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the big city, he seems to come across his past. Is Aaina really alive? He sets himself on the journey to find her whereabouts and it takes to more cities.
Will he be able to get his love interest back?
The author has penned down a well paced plot with detailed characters and scenarios. Each character development is well potraited and each character has been given sufficient scope to contribute to the plot. The narration is kept simple and easy making it a good read for all the readers. The language used is lucid.

One String Attached by Pankaj Dubey is a romantic fiction story set in the 90s in the ancient town of Ayodhya. Even in today's world interfaith love/marriage doesn't get the respect it deserves. Love is love and it shouldn't come with the term of one's religion or cast.

The story revolves around our two main protagonists Shivam and Aaina. A love story in a small town was a big topic in those days to add the interfaith love story is bound to get complicated. But love never is easy, is it? Shivam, an aspiring tailoring prodigy, and Aaina, a beautiful and college student lost their unconfessed love in the riots of Babri Demolition. After losing everything Shivam changed his city and started living a meaningless life until one day, he gets a gleam of his past and his life changed in an instant.

The language is beginners friendly. Short and well-rounded chapters and fast-paced narration keep it engaging. The story has a feel of old Bollywood romantic movies. The story and the plotline are quite common yet very engaging. I liked the author's attempt to try and create a story around such a sensitive topic. The author has been able to build a world and put the story in a way that transfers you in that time.

A story that has love, heartbreak, hope, friendship, family drama, societal differences are woven together in a nice story. The ending could have been a little better otherwise a good simple romance story.

🌺Once I read that.....

"Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope."

Well, this book proves it right!

So, guys would you like to read a book full of action, adventure love, and mind-blowing suspense?

Or, are you a fan of kinda movies like me looking for an awesome read?

If yes, then this book is for You!

So, let's see.....

📕 What's it about?

The story starts with Shivam a young guy full of dreams and ambitions.

He is the son of a chief priest of Ayodhya temple. A privilege very few can have, right?

But our guy doesn't feel that. Cause Shivam is a rebel, he doesn't like his father's philosophy and hence chooses his own path.

After lots of trial and error, he finally found his passion in the clothing line.

🤦‍♂️Which obviously no one supported.

So, life kept going on, and so were his arguments with family.

He was like losing himself.

Then, One Day Everything Changed.....

He saw a girl, a girl with blue eyes. And to his surprise, time seemed to be paused, it felt like being on the shore where nothing mattered anymore.

💖 Yes, it was love at first sight :)

Now, after a series of incidents, he finally got to know that girl (Aaina) she liked him as well. Yayyyy

But they were unaware that when the love was blooming, the dark clouds of riots were gathering as well.

It was the time of the 90s the tension between communal groups was increasing, several people were planning to demolish the Babri masjid.

And then came the D-Day..... They were lost in each other's eyes, ready to finally express their feelings.

But the riots started!

At last, Shivam lost everything.

His parents were murdered and Aaina's family was burnt alive. All he could find was a burnt kurti.... It was Aaina's.

🥺 I'm crying...

So, Fast forward:- We see Shivam in Delhi as an established tailor with a dead soul.

But man! Life turned the roads again

He found something related to Aaina....Yup! He knew it could not be but what if Aaina was alive?

So, here begins an almost impossible journey that took him through tons of life-threatening incidents, places.

And....oh no!! He's lying on the road, the Dubai police is there, a voice saying "Shivam"

They took him away. And here comes the final scene... Shivam is about to.... about to...

So, what happened next? Will Shivam find Aaina? Or does the darkness win?

Also, why did he think that she was alive and what unbelievable things happened?

Read this book to know everything guys ;)

🔷 What I liked the most?

1️⃣. The concept is very impressive.

I mean, unlike other love-shuv books, it has a really beautiful and mature story.

Plus, the depth of emotions, truths it shows is unmatchable.

Honestly, guys, I don't know how the author did it. But it's no less than magic and I am very grateful to come across this book.

2️⃣. The way it's been narrated is just WOW.

The engaging way of writing, character development, suspense building, and so many wonderful scenes.... everything is perfect in it, Everything!

And there were some intense moments when I was completely lost in this book. Those feelings were very real!

3️⃣. The USP of it is in the eye-opening truths and lessons it shares.

It shows what true love means, the divine power it has. And how some misunderstandings can destroy millions of lives.

Plus, those incredible lessons on the journey of life and the magic of faith are must read.

💥So, if you are looking for something unique, something truly amazing.

Then, go with this one.

I am sure that you will never ever forget it.

Cheers!!

.
This story starts with the description of the things that had happend 10 years before. When the Babri Masjid riots were going on. And in the pious land of Ayodhya ppl was worried abt the situations that they were going on. The atmosphere at that time was not good. In between this difficult situations two ppl that is Shivam & Aaina are weaving their love story. Shivam falls in love with the Beautifullllll Aaina who has killer blue captivating eyes that bewitched Shivam's heart & soul. He wanted to see her face. Shivam & Babloo's friendship is praise worthy. Babloo's character is so funny & cute one. He always supported shivam during his thick & thin time. I laugh hard at some lines of Babloo. Language is simple & understandable. Author has made narration simple yet engaging. I hooked to the plot till the end. It's a fast paced story. This story has a little flimy touch too. Specially I loved the ending I laugh hard at Aaina's mischievous nature & the thing she done. Really she is a crazy girl. But after all she is our Shivam's first love the girl who has blue eyes.💙🤭

Pankaj Dubey's "One String Attached" weaves a compelling narrative set against the backdrop of the tumultuous Babri Masjid riots in Ayodhya. The story revolves around two star-crossed lovers, Shivam and Aaina, who come from different faiths and find their love tested by the harsh realities of life.

The book's cover, adorned with a captivating blend of shuttle blue and orange, immediately catches the eye and sets the tone for a story that is equally vibrant. Dubey's writing style is eloquent and engaging, elevating what might have been just another love story into a captivating tale of resilience and hope.

The characters are masterfully developed, drawing readers into their lives and making the storyline all the more engrossing. Dubey's ability to recreate the atmosphere of 1990s UP and Ayodhya during the riots is commendable, and it adds a layer of authenticity to the narrative.

The core of the book lies in its exploration of love as a powerful force that can endure even in the face of adversity and misunderstanding. It serves as a reminder of the profound impact love can have on our lives. Additionally, the book imparts valuable lessons on life's journey and the power of faith, making it a must-read.

Shivam and Babloo's friendship adds an extra layer of charm to the story, with Babloo's character providing moments of humor and warmth. The language used is simple and accessible, making the narrative easy to follow, yet deeply engaging.

"One String Attached" is a captivating blend of historical significance and heartfelt romance. It transports readers back in time and leaves them with a sense of nostalgia and a smile, thanks to Aaina's mischievous nature and her unforgettable blue eyes. It's a delightful read for anyone who appreciates sweet love stories with a touch of history and humor.

“Robot Kahin Ka” (what a robot-like person). That is what people thought of Shivam nowadays. The same Shivam who once dared enough to go against his parents for fulfilling his dreams. Who was always vibrant and a sport. What has made him become lifeless?
Pankaj Dubey’s One String Attached seems like a Bollywood love story with all the necessary twists and turns. Set against the backdrop of Babri Masjid demolition, the novel speaks about how this incident was successful in causing a turbulence in millions of lives. One such life was of Shivam. During this tragedy, he lost his everything. His career, his family and his love – Aaina. Their love story was hard to have bloomed given the fact of different religious beliefs. But mutual feeling and desperation for each other overcame the other obstacles for a while. The sudden grave tragedy however snatched her away from Shivam.
In an attempt to divert himself from the remnants of the incident, he shifts to Delhi, restarting his career once again. He grew quite successful with his flattering designs which became a hit with everyone. And this very career, got him a chance to completely change his life. The dress he had made for his Aaina, came back to him for alteration one day. This was enough for Shivam to madly pursue till death the search of finding Aaina once again. And we are talking here about a lover who has only seen the blue eyes of his partner as a means of recognizing her, so you can imagine how dedicated and passionate he was.
The novel starts with a pretty enjoyable plot, and with intrinsically woven characters. However from the second half a lot of the events could be predicted beforehand. Overall, if you want a Bollywood romantic saga, definitely go for it.

One String Attached is the story of Shivam who fell in love at first sight, it's not even the first sight as he is yet to see the face of the girl with blue eyes; he had fallen madly in love with. I really liked the narrative style of this novel as it keeps on shifting between past and present, the transition is really smooth and crystal clear. It takes you back to 90s and early 20s. It's clearly well written with all the right facts including Ayodhya's temple issue to the trending things in those eras. It has portrayed a beautiful bond of friendship & love. It deals with stereotypes based on religion and caste, gender discrimination and prejudices. I really enjoyed reading this book, it was quite emotional for me. Two ill-fated lovers divided by religion & their own people; riots, tragic pasts everything summed up well. It's a short gripping tale of love & friendship. Shivam's journey to find his lover- Aaina, the girl with blue eyes was breathtaking & had me on the edge of my seat. The portrayal of authoritative parents of 90s is so true and I can feel the struggles Aaina has to go through in the authoritative household to the oppression of Shivam's dreams by his parents in the hope of him taking over family's profession. There is a leap of 10-11 years which clearly marks the maturity of characters and complete advancement of the society. Also, many hindi slangs had been used in the novel, which gave it a regional touch & made it sound more familiar. The first love, butterflies, the tragic heartbreak, everything is well written.

Welcome to the 1990s in India when teenage was considered a crime. The plot prevails within Ayodhya and comprises a religious rivalry scene among Hindus and Muslims.
One String Attached is an amazing work by Pankaj Dubey. It's the story of Shivam, a Hindu boy aged 21 who has fallen in love with a Muslim girl, Aaina just for the sake of her blue eyes as her face is never visible through her burqa. Just when he got the opportunity to see her face, this religious scene forces them to part and Shivam is rendered alone, losing his family, losing the love of his life. Until the same day after ten years when he recognises her Kurti, blown back on him by some driver. Even after ten years, he longs for Aaina and tries to find her in the same town, following the information about the Kurti's owner. He goes through ample hurdles, suffers all the travels, endures lots of difficulties just to find one girl he is not sure about the existence and location of and keeps trying until he breaks down totally. And was he successful in his intention? No spoiler here--- Read the book to find out!
The climax is too heart-wrenching and heart-warming at the same time. Pick this book up and you will be overwhelmed until you finish it and then feel the intensity of how all the writing made you fall into it. I was too intrigued of knowing what would happen next so have my peace of mind. 😅
The book, however, is not suitable for those not familiar with Indian culture and some Hindi words used within. I totally loved it! Felt like I was watching a Bollywood movie. The story might make you believe in true love!

This hauntingly beautiful tale of forbidden romance had me hooked till the very end.
The story begins with dreary, mechanical days of dressmaker Shivam, as he navigates his life filled with opportunities but lacking a passion to pursue them. Until he chances upon a link to the past that unleashes a flood of vibrant memories which the author unveils beautifully to the readers.
In the holy city of Ayodhya set on the river banks of Sarayu, an unlikely love blooms between Shivam and Aaina, of which stolen gazes are the language. Without saying a word, they develop a love so poetic, going about their own daily responsibilities with dreams of romance.
But as they found one opportunity to properly see each other for the first time, fate has other plans as they get snatched apart by the lethal chaos of communal rage that engulfed Ayodhya on 6th December ,1992.
Shivam lost everything that day and left the essence of himself behind for an uncertain life ahead.
The unremarkable spell of a decade was broken by the reappearance of the special Kurti that Shivam tailor-made for Aaina, and thus began his urgent search for a long lost love , fuelled by hope & sheer determination. The readers get caught in the whirlwind of adventure, as Shivam & his best-friend Babloo travel places, get into fights and meet strangers each time a clue pops up. This gripping journey even takes him to Dubai, where more drama unfolds before the much awaited-reunion.
The book ends with an unexpected revelation.
It was surreal to read this book in my mother-tongue Hindi, the prose so beautiful and melodious that it created a permanent place in my heart.

The story originates from the lanes of Ayodhya as a teen love or attraction, followed by one of the most dreadful and religiously associated event in Indian history.

The characters, Shivam and Aaina, a teen love buds blossoms their love with cute grafts, unaware of the religious wall they have.

-Love of his life, Aaina is lost too.
He just had one friend left with him, Babloo, who tries to make his life normal and brings him away from the city.

As life moves on...same for Shivam, until he got a slight clue of Aaina..

👉What happens next?

"The once jolly and good natured Shivam has become a Robot due to the drastic incident which changed his life".

One string attached by Pankaj Dubey is a story of two lovers of different religions. One is Shivam, a jovial, good natured guy who is also an aspiring tailor while the other is Aaina, who is a college student and also love sports. They are into each other from the first time they saw each other.

Unfortunately, the day they both decide to confess their love is also the day Shivam's world came crashing down and he lost everything- His parents, his shop and even the love of his life- Aaina to a riot. After that he got completely broken and try to gather some pieces of his life and move forward.

Then he shifts to Delhi and immerse himself in only his work. One day he get a hint of his love- Aaina being alive and he starts chasing her. With all the information in hand, he stitches a plan to get his Aaina back. Is she really alive? Whether he will meet her or will the destiny seperates them again?

This book is well written and the language is easy to read which makes the reader hooked till the last. The friendship between Shivam and Babloo was amazing. Babloo's character specially has been portrayed very well. The book's pace was good overall but there are some places where i lacked the interest or could predict what will happen.

Overall it is a short and sweet read and you can go for it if you love romance.

The universe has seen numerous relationships till date, but what it could never explain is how love can shape people's contemplation, actions, and gradually life. When an author tries to captivate the perception of love in a book like this it becomes one to cherish for a long time.

The story is set in the 90s era, introduces us to Shivam and Aaina who fall in love with each other. Their trail was just started when they had to meet an unfortunate event and their life fell apart after that. However, Shivam being a stitcher continues his tailor shop in Delhi. Life goes on but that one strong feeling about Aaina keeps the hope inside Shivam alive and gradually he ends up in Dubai in search of her love.

Yes, indeed, love is never an easy concern to make stories about especially when these days it has become such a cliche discussion. But there are stories like this one that make us wonder how love can never be formulated and designed. Love remains when and where it thinks it should and everyone's form of love is different, unique, and special. Shivam's affection and his belief in love have so much depth in the story that it almost convinces even a broken heart. I loved how the author fathomed love and his every apprehension of tenderness in the book. I never expected this story to paint me with such an extensive impact. His narrative thrilled me as it carried such ease yet weightage, it was effortless to melt my soul into his words. I wish everyone reads this book and feels connected to whatever it has to propound to the fullest.

The story of Shivam and Aaina has crossed all bounds of love and attachment, travelling across places and having a string attached, even after living apart for about a decade. This story reminds me of the movie Raajhanna, and I found myself drowning in the Bollywood vibes of the book. We have Shivam, the hero, Aaina, the heroine, and Babloo, the friend. This book is an easy-breezy read for someone who loves romantic tales with happy endings.

They meet, fall in love, are separated and the search begins, only to be together forever. The love is intense, the struggles are dense, and the story is quite fluent. I loved the way it began and ended. Also, in the second half, we have a lot of co-incidents and a detailed narration of searching which kind of puts me down, other than that this book is the perfect read for a coffee date with oneself.

The themes of passion, both for love and career, strikes me the most because these two things keep me alive. Addressing a sensitive issue in such a fabulous manner needs an applaud for the author. You will know what I mean by this, once you read the book. This story is also symbolic of how hatred, communalism destroy lives, relations, and humanity, all together. The title, the coverall justify the story and I was super happy realizing the fact that how much work goes into making things look perfect.

A read meant for all the souls whose heartbeat for romantic stories, across all ages.

Shivam is merely surviving, he has stopped living his life since many years now. He is almost like a robot, without any emotions except an eternal sadness for his lost love, Aaina.

Ten years from the incident of Babri Masjid demolition and subsequent riots that took away not only Shivam's love Aaina's life but also the lives of his parents, he finds something that belonged to Aaina bringing with it a hope that she might be alive. The quest of finding her brings more questions than answers, Will Shivam be able to find Aaina?

The story of this book is as beautiful as its cover, although some elements of it are cliché like inter-faith lovers separated due to communal violence/riots, the reader still looks forward to what happens next and keeps turning pages. While the first half features the love story of Shivam and Aaina which is almost a taboo, the second half contains the interesting quest to find Aaina.

The title justifies the story, Aaina's love is the one and only string attached to Shivam. The book is perfectly edited and the language is simple and accessible, making the book beginner friendly. I would have loved it more if there were more pages and chapters dedicated to development of the romance and love story of Shivam and Aaina as I felt a little disconnected from the main character's emotions. Overall, it was a good read for me and I would recommend it to beginners.

Book - One String Attached
Author - Pankaj Dubey
Genre - Romance

" True love is sacrifice. It is in giving, not in getting; in losing, not in gaining; in realising, not in possessing what we love. "

" One String Attached " by author Pankaj Dubey set the plot in Ayodhya during the demolition of Babri Masjid in year 1992 portraying the unique love story between Shivam and Aaina.
Separated by different faiths and United by love, Shivam, an aspiring tailor and Aaina, a college student started weaving their story. Unfortunately, the day they decided to confess their love is also the day, Shivam lost his everything, his parents, his shop, his blue-eyed beauty to a communal riot. Will be able to get back his love again which stitched by a single thread of hope ?

This historical romance is a drama filled with love, passion and anticipation as seen through the eyes of Shivam during the time, when patriarchy, subsequent riots and political unrest in the country was as its peak.
The author crafted each and every character very beautifully. The cover page of the book is really interesting and attractive. Language is easy and lucid with simple narrative style of writing. Overall it's a good read. This romantic tale reminds me of the movie ' Raajhanna '.

Pankaj Dubey has written this beautiful love story. I would say "Love In Chaos". Because while reading it, the plot was flooded with characters, twists, sudden emotional change. But the constant thing was the love of Shivam for Aaina and struggle and hope to find her one day. That day he will come alive and live the life he wanted to.

Plot is full of a one-sided romance of Bollywood style. Where a lover goes from pillar to post to get a glimpse of lover and when a lover knows it but still tease him. It felt like reading a Bollywood movie script. The relationship between a young adult and his or her parents has been portrayed correctly. We have seen these types of parents in our family or neighbourhood. The struggle of intercaste love or even friendship is frowned upon. Now also you can identify these humans around.

This story is set when on 6 December 1992, religiously blind humans created chaos for innocent people who were just living their lives or meeting the ends to live a so-called life. While reading, I felt I was there when a Muslim was burned alive and when a Hindu was killed by a crowd. The author has portrayed the intense pain and grief of humans who lived that day. And they are still living that day. I am glad I got to read this read. And will cherish it in long run.

Altogether, a readable love story. And the liveable historical episode.

The story is slowed down in the '90s at Ayodhya. The Protagonists of the story are Shivam and Aaina. Shivam is a designer and Aaina is an understudy. However the two of them have contrasts among them, they fall head over heels for one another. However, destiny being brutal to them obliterates everything when their relationship was going to develop minimal more.

Shivam is left alone with heartbreak when he loses all that he had, all that he cherished including his shop and his affection Aaina. With nothing remaining, he passes on Ayodhya and movements to Delhi where he begins his life newly.

However, after a long time, he becomes acquainted with that his adoration for life is as yet alive. Can he presently meet her once more? Is it accurate to say that they are both bound to live respectively?

Discover your replies in the wake of perusing the book. The book cover and title appear to be a special pick and suit well indeed. Since I have as of now read writers' different works, the account was intimately acquainted with me. There were places in which the speed goes down. The timetable movements from past to introduce frequently and now and again makes it complex to comprehend. However, the storyline was the same and simple to get what is being described. By and large, it was a decent perused.

What will happen if you come to know that your lover whom you thought of being nowhere in the world, comes to be alive? Such a story is "One string attached" by author Pankaj Dubey. The main protagonists of the story are Shivam an aspiring tailor and Aaina, a college student. They were from different castes and were in love with each other. But the day Shivam plans to confess his love to Aaina, he loses everything his family, shop and love in a riot in Ayodhya. After this event he leaves Ayodhya and shifts to Delhi in order to make changes in his life  with a change in location. But after 10 years he gets some information that his love Aaina is alive and he starts search of her with full strength. Now his search lands him in another country Dubai. So will he be able to find his love Aaina in Dubai? Is she still alive , if yes then how she reached Dubai? Will they be able to unite again? There is lot more in the story.
The cover of the book is vibrant and the title of book is quite catchy. The love is just a string that keeps both hearts attached. Language used by author is simple and use of hindi words alongwith english makes it look more like a script of a bollywood masala movie. The mention of friendship in the story is worth commendable and the way author has put the characters is fantastic. Overall a must read for all the love story lovers.
