ohhhh.. 😂 I rlly didn't expect any of this.
what i read in my free time is my business 😭😭💔

so the thing is, the art. OH MY GOSH IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL.
but the rest of it? the entirety of the relationship felt forced and lust based (which I'm totally fine with,) but it felt a bit like that was the only thing they had.. which the author made it seem like they had an actual connection. which wasn't the entire plot, I did like the writing and the characters!

but unfortunately I found myself getting lost and confused: "wait, weren't we just talking about that like 2 pages ago?"
"ok, what's even going on atp." but I ended up loving the ending.

just my opinion though, would genuinely love to hear what others think!

thanks so much netgalley, Kodansha Comics (AHHH 💖🤭) and the author- Takiba!!

Then if I pay you, will you let me touch you again?

Short and to the point.
A little second chance, a sweet workplace romance, and a touch of sexiness. Would’ve loved some more of the before, but overall this was a fun one-shot. Might not remember it tomorrow, but still a good time.

What would I see in your eyes… if I told you you were the only one?

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley, and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

Oh, wow! That was steamy! This was my first time reading a BL manga. I thought the art was beautiful and the intimate scenes were very spicy! I think you get just enough details to make it interesting, but would have enjoyed knowing more about how Kanzaki dealt with his undeniable love for Futagami while he was abroad. I think the way Futagami’s back story was handled well. This was a fun quick, read.

Thanks to Netgalley and Kodansha Comics for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

"I'm just a worthless ball of jealousy, y'know?" - He says, with the sweetest smile ever.

I loved it, I really, really did. The art is great and while everything happens fast, I didn't feel like it was rushed. I do wish we could've gotten more of Kanzaki abroad and how he regretted leaving the way he did. Having him be the anxious one after they get together instead of Nagi was a very welcome change from the usual dynamic. Overall, a great steamy one-shot.

Thank you to NetGalley & Kodansha Comics for the ARC <3

Thank you NetGalley for the digital copy in exchange for my review!

This is a short little slice of life standalone that encapsulates a lot of emotions in 195 pages. It was tender, sad, and heartwarming. While at times it lacked depth, I enjoyed the ending along with the side stories after the end.

Very sexual.

Which would be fine if I weren’t convinced Kanzaki (the boss) just wore down Futagami (the prostitute) over time. A power dynamic was at play, and Futagami adamantly stated many times that he wanted to move on and forget about it. I didn’t like the way this was set up; it gave me icky vibes, and I just wanted it to be over.

The writing was meh for most of it, then it took a turn with calling a character “good boy”. There was a lot of “he’s just so cute” talk.

“...if I told you the most wonderful thing about you...is seeing you trying so desperately to become the person I love...”

I don’t like it when people try hard to change a person right out of the gate. At some point, it’s just not a match, and you need to try again. It was obvious Kanzaki wasn’t a good boss, friend, friend with benefits, or person all around. He persisted even though he knew Futagami had a significant other. I just ended up being bored and grossed out.

The art was fine. However, the illustrator seemed to have given up after writing so many sex scenes; they straight-up just wrote “horny” on the background a few times. The bonus scenes at the end made it more drawn out than it needed to be. Overall, it wasn’t memorable or unique enough for me and left me feeling grossed out.

Thanks to Takiba, Kodansha and Netgalley for a complimentary e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was a super cute one shot manga about two men with very different backgrounds who once loved one another, but were seperated when one has to go abroad for work. When he returns five years later to find the man is now working at his very office at his new subordinate, the two get a chance to rekindle their romance, but Nagi has his own traumas to get over before he can commit to being in love again.

I really enjoyed this manga - I thought it did some really great things with consent which is always nice to see in a BL manga, and dealt surprisingly seriously with the theme of someone who is sexually averse. Kanzaki was a really sweet protagonist and I appreciated his maturity in how he dealt with the stiuation. The smutty scenes were great too but mostly I just really liked how emotionally mature this one shot was and is much more about the two being able to form a genuine connection again then it being all about the sex.

I'd definitely read more from this author again :)

You’re All Mine Tonight delivers exactly what I hoped for: a hot, angsty romance that puts you through waves of emotional turmoil in the best way. Takiba balances intensity and vulnerability well, and the chemistry between the characters is undeniably strong, charged, messy, and compelling.

What I especially appreciated is that you can genuinely feel that the characters care for each other beneath all the tension. Their connection has weight, and the emotional moments land. That said, I found myself wanting their motivations to be fleshed out just a little more; sometimes the story leans heavily on kindness as shorthand for deeper feelings, and I wished for a bit more explicit clarity about why they’re drawn to each other beyond the attraction and angst.

Still, the push-and-pull dynamic works beautifully, the pacing is engaging, and the emotional payoff is satisfying. The heat, the longing, the drama, it all blends into a very enjoyable read.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this title in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Takiba and Kodansha Comics for giving me access to this book in exchange for an honest review.

With a title like You’re All Mine Tonight, you already have my full attention. And wow… Takiba absolutely delivers.

First of all, the artwork. Holy shit. It sets the tone immediately and perfectly matches what follows. This book is spicy in a way that does not waste time warming you up. The sexual tension is thick from the start and only escalates, to the point where I genuinely think my ears turned red while reading.

Everyone in this book is painfully horny, and I mean that as a compliment. The desire feels urgent, consuming, and purposefully overwhelming. There’s an intensity to the characters’ interactions that makes the story feel almost claustrophobic in the best possible way, like you’re trapped in their need for each other.

While the plot isn’t overly complex, the emotional and erotic focus is clearly intentional. This is a book that knows exactly what it wants to be and commits fully. If you’re looking for something subtle, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for something bold, steamy, and impossible to look away from, this one absolutely delivers.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

This was a lovely story, though I have to admit I was shocked to see a penis literally on the first page. Alas, it let me know what I'm in for here, and I didn't mind.

There were quite many explicit scenes in this manga, but the storyline was still sweet and angsty, with regrets, insecurities, and feelings of insufficiency. Both main characters had their own struggles and anxieties, and both of them are just unable to communicate.

I really enjoyed reading this, and would recommend it to people who are looking for an angsty but sweet story and don't mind seeing explicit scenes.

I didn't expect so much spice in a one-shot, but I was here for it. The romance did feel forced between both Kanzaki and Nagi due to Nagi being a male prostitute in the past and then years later Kanzaki- his old client- becomes his boss, however since I didn't feel much depth, I didn't mind reading this as just a spicy BL. The story has some sensitive themes that felt well handled, I do wish the trauma from Nagi being SA'd and his past struggles was a bit more developed and the journey of self-acceptance was touched on more, but overall I think their romance was messy, angsty and lusty. The art was so beautiful, and I'm glad the ending was on the sweeter side with a cute HEA.

I'd still recommend for a shorter, heated, angst filled read!

Thanks to Kodansha and Netgalley for the eARC.

While the spice was spicy, the plot was a LOT for a little one-shot. I felt like it was a very deep story that needed more than one volume to get perfect. It felt a little bit like a one-shot version of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, which I adore. I do think the art and the spice were amazing, I just really needed more development before both characters jumped back into dating each other.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for an arc. All opinions are my own.

This manga could have been an HR report/j

In all seriousness, this is a very spicy BL, and the relationship is pretty sweet. I just couldn't really get past the protagonist sexually harassing one of his employees. As the audience we know the feelings are reciprocated, but Kanzaki doesn't know that.

This was a fun, sweet and spicy MM manga.

Perhaps the storyline is a tad cliché but I actually didn’t mind! I felt the yearning while the characters weren’t together and enjoyed how it ended too 💛

Was a little disappointed that this was thinner on actual story than Light Of My Life , but I'd forgotten that had a different writer, with Takiba handling the art. My expectations were a little too high, maybe, because that was a big favorite for me in recent one-shots. It had such a full, complete story with carefully developed characters and backstory.

This was still good - lovely art of course, lots of angsty pining and desperate yearning, and an ending that was more or less satisfying. It just would've been amazing if there'd been a bit more space to breathe and a little less sweating and shouting during scenes where they could've just talked. Plus it's a bit weird that Nagi's friend/roommate eventually just disappeared without any explanation of who he was or how he'd known Nagi.

What I appreciated the most was that they kept hitting scenes where a traditional manga or manhwa would have absolutely 100% gone straight into smut before any of the emotions had been dealt with. Every time, I started to flinch, and then Nagi said no very clearly, and/or Kanzaki backed off and removed himself from the situation.

That shouldn't be such a big selling point, but it really is. It makes all the longing more real and more earned, because Kanzaki is being very, very careful to listen to what Nagi's telling him, and to what's behind his words. The "no" doesn't just mean "not now" - which is important enough on its own - it also carries five years' worth of pain and regret and abandonment with it.

Because, five years prior, Nagi had been a sex worker who'd done exactly what you're not supposed to. He'd fallen in love with one of his clients. When Kanzaki suddenly disappeared - heartbroken at the separation but thinking there was no point in telling someone to whom he was just a client that he had to go overseas for work - Nagi waited, day after day, for a call that never came. And he lost the ability to do the only job he'd ever been decent at.

Coincidentally, he finally managed to scrape his way into an entry level job at the company where Kanzaki worked, so they were reunited when Kanzaki was finally transferred back to the Japanese office. It was like a dream come true for Kanzaki, who'd missed Nagi and worn his ring the entire time, but a nightmare for Nagi, who had no idea Kanzaki had truly cared for him. From his point of view, he'd just been used and abandoned, and if he let Kanzaki touch him again, he'd just be repeating the destructive cycle and ruining the reputable career he'd been trying so hard to build.

Another thing I really liked was how much of a mess Kanzaki was. After all, he'd met and fallen in love with a prostitute after getting way too drunk and puking on the street. It's not like they'd started out from a place of good decisions. So when he comes on too strong at work, and puts too much pressure on Nagi in a situation where he is very much his superior, and even offers to pay him again for sex, it's all very much not okay but also something he realizes is not okay and pulls himself back from once he gets his head on straight.

This isn't Nagi, the guy he'd spent a lot of time with and five years missing. This is his subordinate at work, who is kind of terrified of being around him.

Like I said, it would've been nice to have a longer stretch where they actually had the space to get to know each other more as coworkers. The night of them trying out different restaurants for Kanzaki's welcome back party was good but really should've been extended across several months of Nagi being more comfortable at work and in Kanzaki's presence. And the archive room scene was truly unnecessary...that felt more like an omegaverse moment and really seemed out of place.

Still, the emotions were good, the ache of Nagi's backstory was excellent, and the bonus stories of them together were both sexy and sweet. I enjoyed this; it just had the potential to be exceptional, with a little more editing and a tighter focus on the emotional arc of their relationship.

A huge thanks to Kondansha for allowing me to request and read an ARC of You’re All Mine Tonight by Takiba, even though the English translation was released on 12/22/25! (My first Net Galley review omg!!!)

You’re All Mine Tonight is a one-shot BL you could easily place under a “hurt/comfort” tag on A03 (with a few of the typical BL tropes that those who are looking for only “green flag BL” would not enjoy), revolving around Kanzaki and Nagi. Kanzaki just moved back to his old department after working abroad for five years, and runs into a new coworker who just happens to be the sex worker he was seeing (I mean… it was relationship-adjacent the first time around) before he left. The plot of the one-shot takes us through their second meeting, and if there is a second chance for them to find love with each other, under much different circumstances.

I loved that this one-shot attempts to discuss and positively tackle conversations about sex work. In the world we’re currently living in, it’s incredibly important to me that sex workers are represented well and in a way that doesn’t treat them as “less than” for entering this line of work. Takiba makes it very clear in their writing that the discussions of shame around Nagi’s time in sex work revolve around his own internalized feelings about it as he deals with the fallout of leaving that industry for an office job 3-4 years ago. In both the past and present, Kanzaki never saw Nagi as less for what he did or that he had other clients, nor does he hold it against Nagi when they meet again. I really appreciated what Takiba was trying to do here.

The one-shot truly falls short because of the way it is set up–as a one-shot. I felt like Nagi and Kanzaki both had so much to say and show us in-between moments that we couldn’t see because the plot of the manga clipped at such an incredible speed. We breezed past if Nagi’s roommate/best friend fell under the “hopelessly in love with you” trope, or if everything happening was platonic, and he was just incredibly protective of Nagi or Nagi’s asexuality. (Even editing this now, I’m still 50/50 because while Nagi did go through a lot while Kanzaki was away, I just can’t seem to shake the feeling of that best friend trope enveloping that character as both a queer person and seasoned BL reader…) It makes me sad that the discussions of what happened to Kanzaki and Nagi’s first “relationship” and how they could, if at all, make it work in the present felt clipped as well. There was so much more to be said that was clearly left on the cutting room floor, and it is felt throughout the one-shot.

In the end, I wanted You’re All Mine Tonight to feel more like a really nice glass of whiskey or a piece of cheesecake. Something you savor and get to enjoy and truly think about for a bit before it’s over. Which is not so much an issue of the author’s as it is the original publisher. As far as I know, Kodansha’s just translating it for overseas readers.

So 3.75 stars, with the hope that I can bump it up in the future, because Takiba, who stated You’re all Mine Tonight is their third published work, is doing fantastic things with so much potential! I hope that the manga’s success and the fact that this one-shot was translated by a huge publisher will help them get paid to write longer works that they can expand on some of these ideas with, and that other readers won’t look past this because of it being rough around the edges! It’s a wonderful story whose only fault is that the plot takes too much from its main characters after it was edited–clumsy and unsure.

I’m looking forward to what other works from Takiba that I can get my fujo hands on! Congrats to them for all their hard work on this!

Review of advance copy received from Netgalley
December 19, 2025
I have to admit that I picked this up because of the cover, and I was right to do that since the art is the best thing from this BL manga. It's gorgeous and I really liked the characted designs, the MCs' looks fit well together.

However, I think that there are things that didn't completely convinced me about this story. It has a great premise: two men that were in a sort of transactional relationship reuniting years later after one of them disappeared, now working in the same place.

The concept doesn't fill out expectations in the execution unfortunately. I felt that their relationship was mostly based on lust rather than actual feelings because they didn't really know each other and their interactions were usually full of sex in the past - at least that's what I got from the story.

I wouldn't have a problem if perhaps that was treated as an infactuation that later developed into something more real. The thing is, I felt that the desire from the older MC was mostly onesided until before the very end. I understand the idea ofthe younger MC thinking the other only wanted his body, but I didn't feel like the change from that point to reciprocating the other man was organic.

I think that if there were scenes where they tried to rebuild their relationship in the present by hanging out and getting to know each other instead of one chasing the other and being rejected over and over, I would've been convinced that there were mutual romantic feelings.

The chasing moments could've benefited from having more angst related to their insecurities too. I think the main reason why I felt numb is because I couldn't connect properly with the characters. I needed more depth from Nagi especially, after some hints from his backstory. There were many interesting things that could've been done and if this were a two-volume manga, it would've helped the story a lot imo.

Overall, the reason I am still rating this a favorable 3 stars is due to the art, the potential of the dynamic/story and the well done sex scenes. I also love an age gap, although that wasn't really explored here. I'd still love to read more from this author, I am a visual person so I pick my manga based on how much I like the artstyle. This is one of those cases that it's so pretty to look at that at the end of the day, I don't regret from picking it up. Plus the extras were cute and I found them more enjoyable.

When One Night Opens the Door to Something More

You're All Mine Tonight is a one-shot manga about Kanzaki, who openly pursues Nagi with sincerity and patience, and Nagi, who struggles to let his guard down despite his feelings. Kanzaki tries his best to be mature and understanding about his emotions, but Nagi needs time to work through his own fears and hesitations. Over the course of the volume, we watch Nagi slowly realize that taking a chance on love might actually be worth the risk, leading to a satisfying and heartfelt resolution.

The strength here is in the emotional honesty of both characters. Kanzaki's openness is refreshing—he knows what he wants and isn't playing games—while Nagi's reluctance feels genuine rather than frustrating. The pacing handles their dynamic well, giving enough space for Nagi's journey without dragging it out. For a one-shot, it manages to deliver a complete arc that feels earned, and the artwork complements the story nicely with expressive moments that capture the vulnerability between them. There's a sweetness to how it all unfolds that stays with you after the final page.

The limitation of the one-shot format means some intriguing threads don't get explored. Nagi's friend and Kanzaki's work abroad both hint at interesting backstories that could have added depth, but there simply wasn't room to develop them without disrupting the main romance. It's not a major flaw, but you might find yourself wishing for just a bit more world-building around these characters.

You're All Mine Tonight delivers exactly what it promises—a sweet, contained romance with emotional sincerity. If you enjoy BL manga that focuses on communication and emotional growth over drama, this one-shot is worth your time. Perfect for when you want something complete and heartwarming in a single sitting.

I side-eyed "You're All Mine Tonight" because I was afraid of what this would end up being, but I really needed a short romance, and this was available.

Japan, being Japan, of course, one of the characters was drunk when they got intimate, but this time it was the top. Is that better? No. But it's different! And isn't that progress?

There were a couple of plot points that just didn't make any sense: Kanzaki simply abandoning Nagi 5 years before and then expecting everything to continue once they reconnect, without offering any explanation or apology, and Nagi's behaving as if there were no cameras at work. There were better ways to achieve the same results in the story.

All in all, though, I did enjoy it, and it wasn't as problematic as I feared. Yes, Kanzaki pursuing his employee the way he did, could count as harassment, but he was aware of his problematic behaviour and Nagi's unwillingness to continue their relationship, so he took matters into his own hands and transferred departments so he was no longer as close to him.

The themes that I feared would be mangled the most, such as Nagi's past as a "night worker", were actually treated with respect. I loved that he was never judged or made to feel less than by the story or Kanzaki, who tries to support him the best way he knows how and truly cares for him.

I was also impressed with how the story addressed a character's past sa and following hypersexuality, followed by the disappearance of his libido.
Once these characters got together, their dynamic was really cute and Nagi pretty much led Kanzaki by a leash, which was exactly where that man wanted.

I got the romantic one-shot that the synopsis promised, so I'm happy too.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for this DRC.

"A steamy new BL one-shot" is right (although the joke is there's more than one "shot"). It's steamy from the get go and is interspersed with several more scenes throughout so take that explicit label to heart!

You're All Mine Tonight is the sort of BL one-shot that sort of suffers from so many BL stories being stuffed into just one volume - don't get me wrong, it was good and I enjoyed it, but I feel like if it was even a two-volume set it would have had a lot more time to breathe and sort of come into itself. Gosh there's a lot of double meanings in this sentence that were not intentional but now that I realize, I'm keeping.

Anyway! What happens when you fall in love with someone you're paying to sleep with you ... and then your job makes you work overseas for five years? Well, a BUNCH of yearning, especially when you come back and someone just happens to look like the love of your past life! Who also wants nothing to do with you despite things being so good prior! Nagi is a mess and that's one of the things that could have used more space to grow, Kanzaki is a mess because he's full of Yearning and not understanding anything, Nagi's... boyfriend?lover? is sort of a mess but we never get to know his deal so we can just assume since why not... but of course because it's a romance and a one-shot the two end up a mess together and get things figured out enough for some cute epilogues.

I'm so grateful to Kodansha for publishing these stories in a manner that includes epilogues and bonuses that were only available digitally/in extra ways since it's not like I can just pop out to my neighborhood bookstore and get the Japanese copy! THANK YOU KODANSHA KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. And thank you for the ARC for review!

3.5? 3.75? Rounded up.

I received this as an ARC from Kodansha Comics through Netgalley. I am leaving my honest review, which is my opinion that has not been swayed by receiving this as an ARC.

This one-shot is what to be expected from a BL manga. It was good. A lot of spice, which was good. I did not realize it would have as much angst as it did. I do recommend that if you read, come in with an open mind. Nagi used to work as a sex worker, and once he was unable to keep that route, he had to find a different way to earn money. So he decided to join a company unbeknownst to him. It is where Kanzaki, his old lover?/ customer worked. When they meet again after years. The memories come flooding back, which made for a messy love story. This story was good. The pain Nagi went through after ending his relationship with Kanzaki. His life was swirling even before the end of the relationship. The business and personal sides of his relationship with Kanzaki were blurring for him. He literally had to choose between happiness and making money. Which was hard to read. Then, Kanzaki's not being able to get over Nagi was understandable. Then meeting him again was difficult to read. Because he felt they could go back to how they were, which is not possible. He just didn't understand that it was in the past. So throughout the manga, it was nice that they both came to terms with their new relationship and set boundaries. So they could move forward. Without it being too rushed. This was a short manga. I wish it had another volume. But I do think it still ended on a good note. The side stories did give a nice glimpse as to what happened after the manga was read.

I recommend this to any BL manga fans. It was a good one-shot. It had all the ingredients for a spicy manga.

You’re All Mine Tonight
-Release December 23
-Office Worker x Sex Worker
- Romance, Second Chances, BL/Yaoi
-Spicy Read
-Huge thank you to Kodansha and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this eARC

As a warning, there are a lot of spicy scenes throughout this one shot. Before going into this manga, do note that with it being a one shot the pacing will be quicker. As I do wish we had more building of their relationship after meeting it was just the reader in me wanting more of them. The story portrayed their feelings and situation well. I liked that it wasn’t just one of them tormented about the abrupt “separation” and we see brief snippets of how they were impacted during that time. Nagi is conflicted with wanting to forget the past and pining for Kanzaki. Kanzaki has regret for how he left without a word and wanting that second chance with Nagi (not as a customer). This second meeting after years, allows both to face each other and understand how their feelings were not unrequited.
I will be honest I loved seeing the flashback of Nagi waiting for Kanzaki’s call because you can feel how he saw Kanzaki differently from his other clients, even though they technically were not in a relationship.

Quick Summary:
After a night of drinking, Kanzaki has an encounter with Nagi who asks if he wants to buy him for the night. This one night turns into several until Kanzaki is sent abroad, leaving Nagi with no warning. After a few years, Kanzaki returns to discover that the one he was going to search for ends up working at the company. How will these two face each other?

Office romance with a twist.
The story of revolves around Kanzaki rekindling his old flame.
The relationship start by chance as Kanzaki is going through a difficult time, more like a life crisis when he is questioned regarding the way he leads his life. Too perfect almost borderline boring.
The struggle of adult life of being good enough to not be disliked and sail through the motions.
In this moment he meets, Futagami. Their relationship starts transactional, as the latter is a sex worker.
They see each other frequently and there is this emotional exchange between both, with time their entanglement starts to take a more deeper turn…until Kanzaki is reassigned to a different work post having to move abroad, going completely awol.
Fast forward a few years.
Kanzaki returns to Japan, he meets Futagami as a new co worker and the drama commences.
Before they were just lovers/ customer x client, now they are colleagues with a burning ust and unresolved feelings.
The initial emotions are heavy on longing and questioning, the progression of the story felt natural and organic. I would wish for a better development regarding Kanzaki’s inner turmoil as this was a pertinent topic at the beginning that was lost midway, the couple dynamics and Futagami turmoil took the spotlight completely.
Nevertheless I think this was a good read, good pacing, beautiful art, right dose of angst and very sexy.

Messy. That’s the best way I can describe this oneshot. This goes not only for the relationship, where being messy is not a bad thing, but also the plot and pacing and sometimes even the organization of the steamy scenes - all felt messy.
.
I enjoyed the pining and all too quick obsession of Kanzaki and while I was rooting for him and Nagi to give each other another chance, it all seemed to happen in a roundabout way. Nagi is much harder to understand - he is a sex worker but began having performance issues and erectile dysfunction and quit to try a regular life, he hunted Kanzaki for money but fell in love with him (standard story stuff), but then becomes obsessed again when his body begins to respond to Kanzaki again. He also has a friend that I had no idea why he was included in the story - he was protective so was he supposed to be a potential love interest and that idea was scrapped? He wasn’t developed enough to feel like an intentional friend. And I think he could have been removed altogether.
.
You’ll find steam, intensity, and longing in this oneshot, but it’s messy and I didn’t find it all that satisfying as a story. So overall, not entirely bad, just… yeah, messy.
