3.5 stars.
I have a lot of emotions over this.
Surprisingly enough, it was really bittersweet and it feels oppressively dark and heavy. I wasn't sure what to expect from it going on with where we left off but the tonal change was felt greatly.
On the one hand, it's really nice to know that the new, and apparently last, arc has started. To have clear objectives and a clear-ish path ahead. On the other hand, with how ominous and depressing that was it does not bore well for what lies ahead.
That being said, I did really enjoy it all. Especially as it seems like the place where all the roads were driving us to.
What was a bit weird was the two "special chapters" we got on Hanma and Sanzu respectively. They were interesting enough, I suppose, but it did feel like it stopped the nice flow of the story we had going on before.
Not that I didn't find Sanzu's bit extremely fascinating.
Even though I am interested I don't quite know what to think of this new turn of events... I guess time will tell.

Bref, « Tokyo Revengers » propose une suite tout aussi addictive que la première partie. L’argot est toujours bien présent à mon plus grand désarrois mais les dessins se sont grandement améliorés et le mangaka nous façonnent quelques doubles de pages de toute beauté. Cet arc sur le Tenjiku nous permet de voir l’évolution de personnages secondaires et d’approfondir les relations entre les différents membres du Tokyo Manjikai. On sent que la fin s’approche et qu’elle aurait même pu se faire maintenant. Ce qui fait que le dernier retour dans le temps a crée une petite lassitude en moi qui, je l’espère, disparaîtra vite avec les tomes qui suivent. J’attends Ken Wakui au tournant avec cet ultime arc qui s’annonce.
