Our home is going on the market in 6 weeks, but I’ve been getting ready for 6 months! We are downsizing dramatically, after living here for 24 years. So I am purging, donating, sorting, packing and finally, staging. It’s the staging part I got stuck on. Our home is dated but well maintained. So in this market to keep the competitive edge, I’m doing everything possible to let buyers see potential. I’ve decluttered, simplified, removed excess furniture and depersonalized. I only have ONE room (the dining room) completely finished, with many to go. But this book has been an excellent resource and was fun to read before bed each night as I dreamed of the potential!

Genuinely: go to hell

Ruining the character of your entire house to make it appealing to as many buyers as possible so you can milk every cent out of it instead of keeping it cute and personal and however you liked to live in and waiting to attract the right buyer who will cherish it is absolutely evil.

I was interested in reading this after I read a review of it by my sister. I found that I could listen to the audiobook for free, but I do think you miss out quite a bit from having no pictorial reference as you would in the actual book.

Also I thought the narrator spoke very quickly and monotonously - not exactly pleasant to listen to.
