I expected to really like this book. The prologue reeled me in, but unfortunately, the storyline did not . The premise would have been something I liked, but the execution faltered with the largest issues being writing -- sentence to sentence cohesiveness, pace, and characterization. I found it difficult to visualize what was transpiring due to the disjointed nature of the prose, transitions, as well as character development.

In terms of characters, I liked the heroine's feistiness, but it devolved into annoyance, particularly demonstrated with her limited vocabulary and over use of a particular word to express her exasperation. The first few times might have been funny, but by the tenth time, it was just repetitive and, yes, annoying. I found the setting more characteristic of high school despite the text indicating the characters were in college -- the diction and behaviors felt that way. I think the "board," the skateboard was supposed to be a quirky and sassy prop, but instead made the heroine appear juvenile, teenage even. Finally, the religious themes and church elements did not make sense to the storyline.

I was a fan of the hero and the two main characters' relationship. Loved the chemistry and attraction they were building as well as the intrigue surrounding the heroine's brother and misdeed near campus. I also liked the honesty of drug use in the story, that hint of personal vice, the toxicity of the relationships. Unfortunately, these were not enough to maintain my attention. The writing was sub par. A story with potential whose execution fell short.

I was hoping some coherent thoughts would find their way into my brain to describe what I like about this book, but I just can't seem to produce them.

There is no coherence to this book about a foul-mouthed potty mouth girl seeking revenge on the kid who had some connection to her brother's death.

First of all, I would like to say that the author really liked the word Cock since it was the only word the main female character repeatedly used. Each time she mentions this word, even when it isn't necessary, I cringe and roll my eyes into the corner of my eyes.

There were many disappointing aspects to this book. I found the premise of this book to be extremely flawed. There is no chemistry and warmth between the characters.

This is a book with a choppy story line and at times could be a bit hard to follow. Writing, pacing, and characters were not very impressive and when the plot did finally get going, I had a problem with the main characters. My opinion of them was that they were not interesting.

There was something awkward reading the author's take on religion, which was not done very well, and the beta readers if she had any clearly failed to point it out.

The content of the book as well as the writing of these types of plots was frustrating for me. In this book, sex references were overused, same word repeated multiple times, minor details overcomplicated, the reader was treated as illiterate, and the plot was pushed rather than developed.

Unfortunately, I was not able to enjoy reading the book because of poor writing and pacing problems.

As it stands, I cannot recommend this book due to the author's idiomatic vocabulary of using a foul language and a bully trope to entice readers.

STORY:
If you know the movie footloose, I felt like this was footloose 2021 rated X and minus the dancing. I make that comparison because it was similar with a town that was knee-deep with religion and is very strict with their youth.

This town was all about religion right down to its college. Gabriel, son of a preacher, and we know how preachers’ kids are. Gabriel was all of that with T for Trouble. Delilah is a bad b@&h. I didn’t connect with her all the time, I actually found myself eager to get to Gabriel’s POV because I loved him. We got a bit of mystery and that was appealing. My only dislike is that I wasn’t a fan of the uniforms, I had to keep reminding myself they were college students and not high school. Kept my attention most of the time but had dips where it slows.

This will not be for the faint of hearts. I feel like there are hardcore triggers as these kids did not come to play with their drinking and drugs. Some religious comments may be offensive to some.

CHEMISTRY:
Delilah’s and Gabriel’s sexual chemistry good. I like their build up because forbidden adds that extra topping that makes it sweeter.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
There were some good secondary characters. Kept this story going along with the main characters.

OVERALL, I liked this book, it’s wild for me, but it was definitely interesting.

✰✰TRIGGERS: drug use (not spoken of but using), religious comments and more.

****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.

Truly terrible

This book was extremely difficult to get through. The hero and heroine were both horrible people quite frankly. I didn't mind the drug use as I know that this is a realistic issue that people have to face. It was more idea that a boy would be an avid drug he could quit drugs because he would replace it with intimacy from a woman is a bit of a ridiculous notion. I think it lessens the seriousness of drug abuse and addiction. When I think about the actual girl that is supposedly curbing his drug habit and it's an even more ridiculous notion. Delilah was obnoxious, immature, mentally unstable, and pretty much irredeemable in every way. Also, I have never been more annoyed by a character's use of their chosen bad word either. The word c*cks doesn't bother me but the lazy way the author reuses the word over and over and over and over again was enough to make me want to throw my Kindle off a cliff side. Especially given the plethora of other curse words she could have used in the English language.

Let's move onto Gabe/God. He demands Delilah call him God when they're being intimate but I'm not sure why. is it because his last name is Godfrey or is it because his dad is a preacher and he's asking because he's trying to be ironic? I have no idea. What I do know is that it grossed me out. I just kept thinking about what an insecure little boy he was. I also kept thinking that even though Delilah acts tough and smirks throughout the entire book she's a pathetic pushover for this loser of a man boy. Getting back to the plot, I guessed it by the fourth or fifth chapter. It felt like I had read this story before. A lot of the details are either glided over, dismissed, or not described very well. Delilah would talk about her dead brother but I didn't really feel their connection ever. It felt like she talked about her board more than she talked about anything else. Even the whole board thing was kind of lame because it seemed like it was an afterthought. Like the author was trying to get Delilah to be cool but in my imagination I was just thinking about her holding the board but not actually using it. She is supposedly good enough to go pro but we don't really see Delilah impressing anybody with it.

Another issue I have is the fact that this book had major references to religion but it seems like the entire town of Clementine were full of heathen characters up to no good. It felt really silly and unrealistic. Out of everybody not a single person had a good moral compass? Even her Grandma seemed crappy.

The whole book just felt rushed and I found a bunch of silly typos. Here's an example: "I blame you for tying me the cross." This is just one of many that I found really distracting.

The plot was done before, the characters were awful, and I will definitely not be reading book 2.

Ok... I have nothing else to say but OMG. I am a huge LJ fan, and this book has definitely reinforces how much I love her writing and books.

Let me tell you about the town of Clementine, things are not as they seem. This book is wild. Delilah has returned to town to uncover something that has been eating away at her and walks straight into a scandal. There are secrets in the church that very few people know.

Delilah, or Dee, is the type of FMC I adore. She's string, impulsive, stands up for herself, doesn't back down, fights for what she believes is right and loves hard.

Gabriel, or Gabe, is my perfect MMC. He's a bad boy, a jerk, pushes everyone away, does everything he can to protect Delilah, and loyal, even if his loyalty isn't always where it should lie.

Dee and Gabe are so flipping hot together. Dee needs answers from him and will do whatever it takes to get him to talk, while Gabe does everything he can to make her stay away.

Without revealing too much, the secrets that are uncovered in this book are insane. I loved Jo and Damien from Elite Royal Academy series, but I think Dee and Gabe have stolen their spot in my heart.

I'm ready for more, whether it be from ERA or SSA. I am here for all the things!

Oh My God is such a fitting title for this story by L.J. Woods. This story is a dark bully, enemies to lovers romance with so many twists and turns your head will be spinning. Get ready for a small-town romance story full of lies, secrets, mystery and religious beliefs.
This story introduces us to Delilah and Gabriel. After the death of her brother, Delilah is back in the small town of Clementine living with her grandmother. She wants answers regarding his death but the only person who knows what really happened is intent on making her life miserable. Why? Will she ever find out what happened to her brother?
Gabriel was sent away after the death of his best friend. Now he is back in Clementine, trying to get on with his life. His dad is a pastor and both parents are highly regarded by the community. His parents care more about their reputation and appearances than they do him, but if he wants his freedom he must abide by his parents rules. He doesn't expect to run into Delilah, the girl he's always had a crush on and also the sister of his now deceased best friend. As much as he tries to stay away from her at first that all gets thrown out of the window when his parents force him to stay with Delilah and her grandmother. The attraction and chemistry between these two is so strong. Will they both sin and give into their desire?
This story was great. So dark and mysterious, the plot twists and revealed secrets made this a great read. With so many obstacles in the way I admired how these two fought to overcome it all and how it strengthened their relationship. Delilah is fierce, feisty and impulsive. Gabriel is an alphahole but together these two are fire! After reading this and the Elite Royal Academy series, I'm looking forward to seeing what L.J. Woods writes next.

Gabriel is the son of a billionaire televangelist and his relationship with his parents is not good at all. They care more about their image than about his own son.
Delilah is Elijah’s sister, Gabriel’s best friend, who dies of an overdose.
Delilah returns to Clementine, an extremely religious town full of secrets and sins, to seek answers about what happened the night her brother died. Her relationship with her parents is not good either. She lives with her grandmother, a woman with ties to the church.
Gabriel and Delilah have a very particular relationship, as soon as they are arguing, they making each other life impossible, or sucking face and tearing each other clothes.
Gabriel also has a serious drug addiction problem, an addiction that he replaces with Delilah, the sex with her is his favorite drug.
When the masks of the townspeople start to fall, this couple will have to face everyone.
It’s the first book I read by this author but it will definitely not be the last. I ❤️it.

“Dee, I’d give you the fucking moon on a golden platter but not if you don’t give me the chance to get to space and back.” He pulls my face so I’m looking into his eyes. Dark. Confusing. “I’m not gonna keep playing games with you. You know the guy I am. Let me show you.”

I was hoping to really like this when I read the Blurb. I mean, it's not the worst book I've read but it may just be a personal preference thing!!

We start by burying Delilahs big brother Elijah which we later find out, died of an overdose.

Dee blames his best friend Gabriel Godfrey who disappeared after the event with no contact, but lots of online presence of his "mission work". She's beyond furious.

When Gabe returns for school, we discover he's a drug addict and he was actually in rehab with no contact with the outside world. Rehab failed as he's still snorting, smoking and pill popping pretty much anything.

The community they live in is deeply religious. Gabes father is the pastor. And they go to the Saint Angels Academy.

Dee lives with her grandma, loves to skateboard, swears like a sailor and happily smokes weed to calm down.

Without talking to each other to really understand each other Gabe and Dee clash loudly and publicly several times.

I liked that Dee was unapologetically herself. What you saw was what you got and she was a great personality. Such a contrast to the majority of the book. Her friends Hazel and Mariam- especially Hazel- show how oppressive religion can be. Or I guess its any kind of peer pressured society of any kind.

Gabe has really been pressured to hide who he is. The main reason being he's under the spotlight being the Pastors  son. But his account has been taken away from him due to his drug habit, his lock removed from his door - so he's definitely under pressured to do as he's told.

The implosion of the truth bomb and its effects - right from the festival to the end is what happens when you try to abuse a position of power, try to get others to cover up for it, when you support someone who does it, and when people show their real colours who they really are.

It was a nice ending. I'm happy for Gabe and Dee. However, the cliffhanger about Hazel and her dilemma hasn't made me want to pick up the continuing series, and it's that that I'm sad about. I just didn't really gel with any other character apart from Gabe and Dee. If a series is to take off, I think I should know more about the MCs inner circle. I can only rember the name of Adam and that's about all...☹

I apologise to the author! This book on its own was good and I was OK to read it. But as a start to a series, it was lacking a bit for me. But this is just personal preference! I think some of your other books are more up my street - I'll be trying them I know that for sure!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I’m not a religious person at all but I am certainly worshiping this book. It was not even close to what I expected and I couldn’t get enough! This is my first book I’ve read by L.J. Woods but it definitely has me hooked and I’ll be reading her others asap!

It starts with Delilah moving back to Clementine after her brother, Elijah’s death. She is looking for answers and the only person able to give them to her is Gabe, her brother’s best friend and the Pastor’s son. She is not welcome back at all, and things get a bit out of hand while there. See, Clementine is nothing like it looks on the outside. It's supposed to be all about the higher power up above but it is filled with all sorts of secrets and scandalous activities.

Delilah is such a strong headed character. She knows who she is and doesn’t let others get under her skin. She is snarky, impulsive, and takes no crap. This gets her in trouble a lot, but she doesn’t care and does what she believes is the right thing.

Gabe is probably one of my favorite book characters. He is the perfect balance between alpha god and a tortured soul. He has some major demons and his life is pretty much a giant lie. He does what he can to cope but no matter what it’s never enough. Until Delilah shows up that is.

Delilah and Gabe have such intense chemistry right from the start. There has always been an attraction between them but it was never acted on because of Elijah. Delilah has a lot of anger toward Gabe at first. Gabe is worried Delilah will ruin his plan for the future. There is a good amount of back and forth with these two. Gabe likes to be in control but Delilah doesn’t back down like others. When they finally let their true feelings unravel it was sin it the best way.

L.J. did an excellent job with not only the story but the characters. I absolutely adore Hazel and I’m hoping her book is coming soon. Especially after that ending! I also want to learn more about Gemma and Milo. They are still a bit of a mystery. I’m totally addicted to this series and I’m definitely itching for the next book!

First I would just like to say if your squimish about certain things this isn't your book theres, drugs, murder death kink and sex in some very forbidden areas I know this sounds like the life of a Rockstar but know it's a town full of hypocrisy and ugliness a community built around church and this book proves two things even if it's just in the pages of this story the Paster's kid is always the biggest sinner and you never really know what goes on behind closed doors.

Gabriel aka the Hammer is royal messed up his bestfriend dead his parents are a joke and his only way out of Clemtine is threw Hockey all he has to do stay out of trouble and stay of drugs well he can't deal so it's back to the drug's and trouble has also found him Delilah and she wants answers about her brother.

Delilah this girl has attitude in spades dosen't care about the haters and hypocrisy all she wants is someone to pay for what happened to her brother and Gabriel can't ignore her anymore but she also finds out this little pentecostal church loveing community is as nasty and corrupt as it gets. She and Gab shouldn't want each other but they do there relationship is doomed neither of them can take a stand against there parents and Gabs father is pure evil.

I liked and hated parts of this book the other characters added to the story. The secrets and mystery were good and the chemistry between Gab and Dee is of the charts. My dislikes weren't that many it was more how Gab didn't come to Delilah defense and kinda hung her out to dry then when his life implodes he needs her and thinks he can just get back with her. I do like there intensity as a couple and how Delilah finally helps Gab get on track with his addictions. This book has a HEA feel and ends with a cliffhanger that I admit I didn't see coming so im looking forward to the next book.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.

(3 1/2 stars, closer to 4 hence the 4) The book starts out rough...I almost gave up after the first chapter but it get much much better after that. Delilah brother has died and she has gone back to Clementine which seems to be some very bible thumping town devoted to The Godfreys who run the church and extension the school and town. Delilah's brothers best friend was Gabe, who after her brothers death just disappeared and was not there for her. She is understandably angry and confused and convince that there is more to her brother's death then is known.

Gabe and Delilah were close both wanted more but never pursuing it as he was her brother's best friend and her brother asked him not too. He has a drug problem and his parents don't trust him so that is how he is thrown back into Delilah's close proximity. He is a god at the school with his 2 best friends and they decide the fates of the other students, if they are cast out or not. He starts to develop a relationship with Delilah but just seems to crush her heart at every turn. She is a strong character and wants to help her friends as well as get closure with her brother's death.

There is another mystery with leaked sex videos of girls at the school and a man/men that is/are not shown and of course the girls are punished as sinners and are not believe because of the biblical order in the town. The adults in the book are worthless or scum.

Everything comes together at the end and then not. The very end really upset me, it seemed like it was just added to be able to write another book in the series. Will I read it? Yes...but I am not happy about it. (which is why the 3 1/2 stars)

Oh My God was definitely not what I was expecting but I actually really enjoyed it and also hated it at the same time (not in a bad way though) Be prepared for the fact that the majority of these characters are on the extreme side of religion. I mean I found the religious elements to be on the let’s drink the cool aide and commit mass suicide/ we’re part of a cult level. There were several situations where I was like wtf did I just read.

I absolutely love Delilah because she is unapologetically herself and doesn’t back down from anyone. I hate that she gets treated like crap because of how she looks and because of what her name is associated with in the bible (insert eye roll here). At first I really couldn’t stand Gabriel at all but as the story progressed I started to see parts of who he really was. He has a lot of problems especially with drugs but I’m not surprised with the world he was raised in and especially with parents like his. I did really enjoy the chemistry between them and I found it to be really intense.

I have to say that L.J. Woods did a fantastic job at creating characters that made me feel a whole range of different emotions especially rage. I spent a lot of the time wishing that I could climb through my kindle and hit people with a hockey stick because of the way that they acted. The hatred that I felt for this book was definitely intentionally orchestrated by the author in my opinion. So I have to say bravo L.J. bravo.

I can’t wait to see what is next especially with after that cliffhanger.

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.

Oh sweet Clementine. Juicy like the fruit but nothing even sweet about you.

I’m going to be cliche here, but OH MY GOD, this title couldn’t be more appropriate for this book! We are taken on this crazy ride through a god-fearing town with a feisty heroine and one hot God. From the start, L.J. goes all-in 110% and has me gasping for air. The things that happen in this town are WILD!!

Delilah is the kind of heroine that makes you say “F*** Yea!” She’s fearless, impulsive, head strong, and gives zero effs. She’ll say what’s on her mind and won’t stop to get what she wants.

Gabriel FN Godfrey is a hot alphahole who will tear you down with a snap of a finger. He’s the bad boy, the brother’s best friend that we should all stay away from, but like a moth to a flame... He rules and might be a god, but is he a match for her!? Or has he found his match in her!?

The push and pull between these two is intoxicating. When they’re angry, they’re the angriest and when they’re sweet, they are the sweetest Ever. Like the hearts in your eyes type. They had me on an insane high, toying with every emotion possible and I kid you not, saying OH MY GOD multiple times. Oh and their steam factor is off the charts 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

This book deals with a lot of effed up s*** that only a seedy town of rich people can bring. There are so many surprises that you can never leave your guard down in Clementine. And I have a feeling our little crew hasn’t seen it all yet...

A girl can hope 🤞🏼🙂

What else does L.J. have up her sleeves!? I’m here for it!!

TRULY PSYCHOTIC. And not the good kind.

Seems as though the female MC didn't have a single brain cell seeing as the clues were right in her face very early on.

There were a lot of disturbing scenes in this book, and not in the Gone Girl type disturbing. This wasn't a psychological thriller, or a dark romance, just a book with poor follow though. I feel like I understand what the author was trying to do, but honestly it just didn't work.

GABRIEL the Male MC has major issues and traded drugs for his best friends little sister. Supposed best friend, because honestly Elijah just seemed like his drug buddy more than anything.

There was no chemistry or romance between the two main characters, there was more going between Hazel and Adam, than Gabriel and Delilah.

And Delilah, girlie has issues, and clearly needs to stay in school, the fact that she got into school through connections instead of brains, shows very much. The festival scene made me hate her.

Everyone in this book need serious therapy.

The while thing is centred around a church, and a church school. It was weird and honestly felt incredibly disrespectful to those who follow the religion. At least from an outside perspective.

But then again what the pastor did, happens more often than not and churches tend to glaze over those facts or overlook it or blame the victim. So kudos for bringing it to light, but it could have been done better.

I won't be reading more books from this author.

But on the plus side I did like the Weebers, Garbashians, and Easts. Also McDougal, took me a while to get that one

This book was insane in the best possible way!

‘OH MY GOD’ is a dark, twisted, angsty, and dramatic story of two people that secretly love each other. Throw in the bullying and you have a book that’s hard to put down. (That’s if you like bully romance 😉)

Gabe and Delilah are linked through Elijah, Delilah’s brother. Tragedy happens, along with crappy circumstances, which begins Delilah’s hate for Gabe and she’s out to get revenge. Along the way she uncovers some truths of some shady things happening in their church/college.

Gabe’s weakness is Delilah so he knows he has to keep her far away and this is where the bullying comes in, for both of them. It’s a very back and forth, hate and love, relationship for good reason. Gabe’s dad owns the church and when Delilah starts finding the secrets within the church/college, things become even messier for the two.

On a side note, from all the dramatics, Gabe and Delilah have amazing chemistry and the Author threw in lots of steamy scenes! 🥵

What a roller coaster of a story. I would consider this a slight thriller. It’s a dark/bully romance that maybe be triggering for some. This book touches on addiction/overdose, rape, and murder/suicide. I also don’t recommend this book to anyone that might be very religious. You definitely have to have an open mind going into it.

If you aren’t trigger sensitive and enjoy dark/bully romance I highly recommend this one!

What the h*** did I just read?!

When I downloaded this book I did not know what to expect. The plot was pretty vague and so I dived in lto it without even reading a sample first.
I had no expectations, nothing - I thought that it would be the usual type of enemies-to-lovers story. Shame on me of even thinking that. It is NOT your usual type of bully book. It is about the drug use, drug addiction, even something like rape and very strong and passionate adiction between the protagonists.

Why did I give only 4 stars, if the book surprised me so much?

It was sometimes hard to read, to grasph the thinking pf thr drug addict while using and feeling the high. Sometimes I felt like the author was praising the drug useFor the escape purposes. I do understand that the author might have written out of the personal experience, but still... the drug use was such an important part of the book that I couldn’t overlook it and could not give 5 stars.

The really good parts - the passion between Gabe and Dee, as well as the whole story was something fresh and unique; therefore, I can promise to read the next book in the series for sure.

What can I say to other readers? Prepare to be shocked, prepare to fell like a drug addict for real... annnd.....prepare to feel passion and strong hate/love.

I love everything about this book. I went into it unsure of what to expect but honestly it was amazing.
A real page Turner right from the start. I had so many questions constantly going around in my head. I was trying to figure everything out as I went. There’s so many shocks and surprises. A really intense, suspenseful read.
Brothers best friend, soul mates, grief, sorrow, suspense, intrigue, funny, steamy.... it’s ticks all those boxes plus some.
It contains/ touches on drug abuse, religion, death, murder/ suicide etc
Gabe & Delilah’s story really is amazing. So much going on and they have both been through a lot. They need each other more than they know...... will they come together???? You’ll have to read to find out. Be warned ⚠️ once you start this book you will not want to put it down.
Beyond amazing, so much detail my mind was blown. My heart was beating wildly, some times wanting to reach into my iPad to choke someone!! It gave me a lot of emotions which really goes to show how good it was.
So many loveable characters in here. I really hope we get a story on Nix 😉
You really don’t want to miss this story. It’s not a typical bully romance or brothers best friend bully/ off limits romance. It’s so much more.
Well done L J Woods outstanding read, would highly recommend.

Hammer/Godfrey/God: He is a mess. He is known by those at the University as one of the Gods. The only problem is he does not have it together. He needs copious amounts of drugs and booze, to get his mind and anxiousness, to stop. Hammer has seen bad things in his life. His parents are unfeeling, money hungry, a$$holes, who only use him as a public gain. When Delilah comes to town, he quickly realizes she could be his next addiction.

Delilah: I love this character. She is the most open, sexually charged character, who has been written extremely well. She flaunts herself, and has her own style. She could care less what people think. Delilah realizes she is the black sheep in this town. At every chance, people are reminding her about her mother, and her mothers' given position. Delilah cannot catch a break. When she sees Godfrey, she quickly reminds him of their past friendship, and does not hesitate to call him out on his crap.

I loved this book. The chemistry, love, and understanding Godfrey and Delilah have for each other is priceless. Readers, I recommend this book!

Immediately hooked from chapter 1. This is the common theme with this author. This one was no different. This is a college university bully romance, book 1 in the new Saint Angles Academy. Gabriel is the baddest bad boy and “God” of St Angels Academy. Big time hockey player, bad boy and player on campus. The pastor’s son. Delilah is trouble for Gabriel. She’s his dead best friend’s, little sister. She was supposed to be off limits. After her brother passed away, Gabriel disappeared.
Now he’s back, and he’s her roommate. Delilah wants to know where Gabe disappeared to, and wants so many answers. They try to stay away from one another but she wants answers, and he’s not easy to give them to her. Even though they can’t seem to stand being around one another, they can’t stay away. And neither of them want to.
This book is was a bit of a slow burn, but hot as h*ll. This author makes it so easy to quickly become hooked to her characters. Underneath the bad boy exterior, is always a hot addicting strong character. The heroines are always bada*s and easy to love.
Loved this !! Can’t wait for book 2!!

Thank you to the author, L.J. Woods, for providing a copy of Oh My God. I have reviewed honestly.

Oh My God features, but is not limited to, the following themes:
○ Bully romance
○ College
○ New adult
○ Drug use
○ Religious Community
○ Best friends sister
○ Forbidden romance
○ Sports

My overall rating for Oh My God is…

4.5 Stars!

What an emotional ride! Oh My God was remorseless in the feels department, with greif, defiance, bullying and smouldering sexual tension! Delilah was a sassy skater girl; individual, fiesty and a rule Breaker. Gabe was the imperfect son, deviating from his parents religion, lusting over his best friends sister and drowning his pain with drugs. I love how Woods works the reader with her words, keeping you on your toes as secrets are pondered and little hints are sprinkled throughout the journey. Woods blew me away with her Elite Royal Academy series and Oh My God welcomed me back to her savage writing with a sweet and sour story.

My honest opinion

Soo this book is may not be for everyone, myself included. I say this because l if you can get past how delilah (the h) acts, and says what she does in the religious setting, the fact that basically this story takes place in a religious setting. How mostly everyone speaks especially gabriel's parents if you can look past all of that, you'll have a shot to enjoy the book. However the repetition of Delilah saying c*ck over and over again when she's angry it got extremely annoying. I called the plot basically by chapter 5. I do love delilah's fearlessness. She took no bs and was willing to stand alone. I lovw gabriel and his addiction to delilah, how he describes it, makes all more fascinating to read. That ending I did not seeing so i definitely look forward to book 2. I don't want to give too much away so I'll tell you to go ahead and give a read, it's just not my taste and I'm lover of bullying and dark romance.

Oh My God, no really the title is Oh My God. And what a fitting title it is because OMG was the first thing to pop into my head when I finished the book.

This book was a WILD ride, not a roller coaster but an animal safari kind of ride. The kind where one minute you’re watching a beautiful zebra eat and the next a fucking lion is eating said zebra. Yeah, that kind of wild ride. There were SO many twists and turns in Oh My God that you never got a chance to wrap your head around one thing before another was thrown at you. And it was absolutely incredible.

I do have to say the one thing I wasn’t a fan of was that Delilah is supposed to be this badass FMC that takes no shit but constantly allowed Gabe to use her and discard her. It just didn’t feel like it fit who she was. Other than that Oh My God blew me away! I loved it and I cannot wait to read the next in the series! (Hazel quickly became a favorite of mine so I’m sure her story will rock!)
