Hands down the best travelogue I have ever read. Essays written by women and for women. Essays about exotic (and not-so-exotic) locations are presented alphabetically by location. A terrific and inspiring book ... and one that makes me want to travel the globe (someday!). One essay in particular struck me. Turns out it was an excerpt from a book by Katy Gardner called Songs at the River's Edge: Stories from A Bangladeshi Village. I bought that book and was also thoroughly engrossed. READ MORE WOMEN TRAVEL. You won't be sorry.
