Very tragic
All of the relationship turmoil was resolved about the 40% mark so what more could happen??? I shouldn't have wondered. It was horrific. My heart broke for them. It was just sad. I don't want to give spoilers for it but it is very sad. I wasn't expecting that. I thought the songs he wrote for her were cheesy really and I was disappointed by that scenario too. But what happened was just wrong. I wish the book wouldn't have gone that way. The epilogue was good and was 10 years in the future and I was happy for them. I am not reading the other two at this point because these were just okay. free in KU.

Fragile Truths is the third book in the Fragile Hearts Series by Lilian Harris and the conclusion to Jax and Lexi's story. An emotional ride, that had my heart racing with every step they took on their road to happiness—it was bittersweet but worth it.
While I enjoyed all the sexiness Lilian Harris delivered in this book, it was Jax's growth as a character, what I loved the most. One of the plot-twists-the the main one, made me go so mad because I felt it was not necessary, I mean they have already gone through so much, so why gave them more pain, I knew it was something they have to experience for them to face their fears, and get their well deserved happily ever after.
A beautiful story of overcoming trauma and loss that will give you all the angsty feels, and will leave you wanting more from Lilian Harris. Gabriel is next, and I can wait to read about him.

Oh my poor poor little heart! I needed a good cry in a book and did this one deliver it. So be warned people, have tissues handy.
I absolutely love this series. I am so happy I have been able to read these and Lilian Harris has so graciously given me copies to review.
As I said before Lexi and Jax are my favorite. They are such a beautiful couple. To see how far they came in this book and all the stuff they have to overcome was incredible. Jax oh man oh man how he has changed in this one, I loved him so much. To see the man he became just melted my heart.
Then Lexi oh my heart just broke for her, yours will too when you read this, but gosh her strength and love out shown in this one. I don’t think I have cried this much in a book in awhile. I love and hate when books make me cry, but it goes to show how well the author writes cuz I feel so hard for the characters.
This book does have a HEA and has some triggers that I won’t mention as Lilian mentions them in the beginning of the book.

Fragile Truths is the second part and the conclusion of Lexi and Jax's story and I'm already missing them.
This heartbreakingly beautiful story brings you on a rollercoaster of emotions filled with angst, loss, acceptance and love.
Jax suffers from PTSD, and finally seeks the help he needed to be able to overcome the demons that have been hunting him. I loved Jax, his willingness and determination to get better, to become the person he believes Lexy deserves.
I admired his selfless love for her, always supporting her even when everything around was falling apart.
"Inside she’s still my Lexi, no amount of cracks will ever change the beauty of her heart. And on the days that her light dims, I’ll always be there holding a torch, leading her home like she did for me."
And Lexi, my oh my! My heart shattered into a million pieces for her.

Jax and Lexi have gone almost two months without talking to each other when they see each other at Lilah and Damian’s engagement party. Jax has been going to therapy to better himself but still doesn’t feel like he’s where he needs to be. Lexi doesn’t tell Jax about the pregnancy immediately.
I lovedddd Jax and Lexi. They have so much passion together. Knowing what was going to happen from the trigger warning made it a bit nerve wracking cause I was on edge waiting for the heartache. I did not see that double whammy coming 😭
I predicted that Jax was going to be the one to run but it was a nice surprise to see him sticking to his word and being there for Lexi. I would give him my heart if I could, cause that right there, is a truly amazing man. I thought it was a bit early to try to adopt just a couple months after losing her baby, but I’ve never been in that situation so I suppose I can’t really judge.

I’m not going to lie, the prologue although fantastic and explains so much, was earth shattering and I actually needed a little time before reading on. Time to reflect on the sacrifices made, time to grieve for all fallen soldiers and time to think about the families left.
There are lots of lighthearted and fun moments that balance things out, more so than dark. When things do turn seriousI I am not going to sugarcoat it, it is brutal and devastating for the characters and you feel it deeply as well. My eyes bled tears with Jax and I think anyone would be hard pressed not to do so. However, this is a beautiful love story and a fantastic second half of the duet,
Lexi and Jax grow so much in this book, in every way. Throughout their personal journey there are many issues raised that made me think long and hard, I admire the author’s style causing this reaction. Loss in various ways is a major part of this story and it is handled well but also shown in a really life’ way.
Great descriptions of characters, emotions and settings enhance this story to the point where you truly do feel a part of it. The more I read from this author, the more I crave her words and recommend her books to everyone.

This book had me feeling so many raw emotions! I spent a good part of it crying. You get to learn what has been tormenting Jax for so many years. When I learned what had happened, I understood more why he was the way he was. That Prologue gutted me. With that being said, I was inspired by his determination and growth throughout this book. It was very inspiring and honourable how he stood by Lexi the whole time. Lexi, my heart shattered along with hers. That part of the book destroyed me. The grief and pain was unbearable. You really and truly felt it. In comes Olivia and she saves them. Thank goodness for her. Jax and Lexi were able to get their HEA in the end. What an amazing, heartfelt book!

Ahh this book was exactly what I needed after the cliffhanger in Fragile Lies. It broke me for sure. My heart hurt for Jax and Lexi and everything they experienced. I literally cried, and I'm not a crier! But my heart was also put back together by the end and I am so happy with their ending. This book was sexy, steamy, heartbreaking, sad and happy. I absolutely loved their story. Jax and Lexi are so perfect together. Jax is patient with Lexi and everything she went through. Lexi was strong and selfless, doing what she thought was best for Jax, but he never gave up on her. Their love and connection is so strong.

Fragile Truths by Lilian Harris is a contemporary romance. This is the third book in the Fragile Hearts series.
I absolutely love Lilian's books! This book took me on an emotional roller coaster. Lilian did an amazing job making me feel all the emotions that Lexi and Jax were feeling. I had to stop many times throughout the book for a breather because I couldn't stop crying. This book gave me all the feels. This is a MUST READ!!!
I cannot wait for the next book in the series Fragile Pieces to be released so I can get Gabe and Mia's story.
I would highly recommend this book if you love contemporary romance, second chance romances, or romances in general.

This is a beautifully written love story with strong characters in Lexi and Jax. The author takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride as she leads them on a heartbreaking journey. Her scenes are played out in vivid detail and she does a fantastic job bringing the story to life with her descriptive writing. This was the perfect ending to their romance. I loved and would highly recommend this book/series.

This is the best ending to their story ever! It continues with an even more emotional and heartbreaking journey for Jax and Lexi that you're the one who felt like it's unfair the hands they were dealt with. I felt so much heartbreak for Lexi and Jax. I guess I understood now why Jax was the way he was in the first part of their story. He was pretty much broken himself. Now he needs to pick up the pieces and just love Lexi for all she is.

5 HEARTBREAKING STARS!! This story was beautifully heartbreaking, but I loved every minute of it. Lexi and Jax's....these two go through tough times and will push every emotion button you have, but it is a must read. This series has been phenomenal by this amazing author, her words captivated you all the way through her stories.

Just when I thought Lexi and Jax's previous book Fragile Lies made me feel every single emotion known to man, this book outdid it and had me balling like a baby.
After the last book, we pick up with Jax having told Lexi that he can't be with her because she deserves better. He knows his PTSD from the war and his brothers death is the main cause for his insecurities and he's afraid to lose Lexi and continue down this dark path. However, he quickly realizes that he can't live without her, and that he wants to get better for her and for their relationship, so he starts going to see a phycologist. He doesn't want to tell this to Lexi until he's nearly done and feels 'healed' just in case it doesn't work out, he doesn't want to get her hopes up.
Poor Lexi is going through the emotions of mourning someone she loved and the way that Jax broke her heart plus another big shock that has her very scared about the future. She chooses to not tell Jax, since he made it clear that he doesn't care about her. But was he just saying that? She can't hardly believe he would have faked everything they had, but why would he have said all those lies?
Finally, Lexi and Jax work through their differences, Lexi is very hesitant to trust Jax again after all he said to her and she's afraid he's going to leave her. She tells him her secret, and they try to make their relationship work. A majority of the book after they get back together is Lexi feeling insecure and scared that Jax will leave her even after he continues to prove his love and tells her his feelings for her. I felt like they missed out on even more time together since she was so scared of trusting him again.
Toward the end of the book, my heart breaks for Lexi as her whole world shatters and the life she'd been planning for her and Jax literally crumbles beneath her. She breaks up with Jax and moves back home to Florida with her parents, but Jax will not take no for an answer and it's now his turn to be the strong one for Lexi and fight for her and hold her together. I give Jax major props that he didn't give up on their relationship, he fought for the woman he loved and he also kept his own emotions in check even though he could have gone down that dark past from the death of his brother, but he stayed above water, without Lexi, and wanted to protect and save her and loved her unconditionally.
The ending they both finally get a HEA, and a lot of people who also reviewed this book were complaining how they hated the 10 year time hop-- I actually really enjoyed it. We got to see all of the main characters, Jax, Lexi, Damian, Lilah and Gabe all still best friends with families of their own, they were all happy and together.
This book is heart wrenching to read, but man was it a good read. The fire, passion and emotion that Jax and Lexi have for each other is off the charts and they have such a strong connection and bond. Another great read by Lilian Harris!

5+ “YOU’RE HER LOBSTER” STARS!!!
This book touched me. It touched me so much that I bowled my eyes out. When a book can make me so sad and heartbroken but then leave me so happy and with a huge smile on my face by the end, I know I encountered something amazing. Fragile Truths was that. It was hard, incredible, unique, heartbreaking…and oh so fulfilling.
“I don’t want her, I want you, whoever you are today.”
I’m not gonna lie, I went into this book already knowing the triggers, so I was scared. I was afraid I wouldn’t get into the story just waiting for the worst to happen. How wrong I was!!! From page one I was hooked, I was so into it, I couldn’t take my eyes of the pages. And even knowing the train wreck that was coming I felt every single thing the characters went through, I cried with them and smiled with them. They affected my emotions so much that by the end I was so glad they got the perfect HEA, because they truly deserved that.
“I wonder how someone can feel like they are breaking when there’s nothing left to break.”
Lexi. Gosh my heart truly broke for her in this book, what happens to her shouldn’t happen to any woman, ever. But it is in the hardships that we truly see a person’s strength and she was so strong!!! Now Jax, wow he was something else. He mended mine and Lexi’s heart, that’s how amazing he was. He grew so much in this book, he showed a whole new side and I was not expecting it. I loved that he went to get better first, that he fought to be deserving of her love and then how supportive, protective and loving he was. He was always there for Lexi when she needed it and I will never forget this amazing hero.
“But one thing she doesn’t realize is that I’m patient. I’ll be there for her every second of every day. And even when she’s at her lowest, even when she asks me to go, I’ll always find a way to be there.”
After that ending in the last book I loved that in this one they took things slow, getting to know each other again. The slower burn created the perfect tension and it really let them shine more as a couple. The whole journey they went through in both books was so beautiful, I feel like they went through every possible stage as a couple, they grew so much individually and together, it was truly magical and inspiring to see.

This author is newer to me but I will seriously read anything she comes out it. Her writing is so amazing and she approaches sensitive topics in such a beautiful and healing way. I find her stories so unique and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

From page one I was hooked, I was so into it, I couldn’t take my eyes of the pages. And even knowing the train wreck that was coming I felt every single thing the characters went through, I cried with them and smiled with them. They affected my emotions so much that by the end I was so glad they got the perfect HEA, because they truly deserved that.
“I wonder how someone can feel like they are breaking when there’s nothing left to break.”
Lexi. Gosh my heart truly broke for her in this book, what happens to her shouldn’t happen to any woman, ever. But it is in the hardships that we truly see a person’s strength and she was so strong!!! Now Jax, wow he was something else. He mended mine and Lexi’s heart, that’s how amazing he was. He grew so much in this book, he showed a whole new side and I was not expecting it. I loved that he went to get better first, that he fought to be deserving of her love and then how supportive, protective and loving he was. He was always there for Lexi when she needed it and I will never forget this amazing hero.
“But one thing she doesn’t realize is that I’m patient. I’ll be there for her every second of every day. And even when she’s at her lowest, even when she asks me to go, I’ll always find a way to be there.”
After that ending in the last book I loved that in this one they took things slow, getting to know each other again. The slower burn created the perfect tension and it really let them shine more as a couple. The whole journey they went through in both books was so beautiful, I feel like they went through every possible stage as a couple, they grew so much individually and together, it was truly magical and inspiring to see.
“When I promised you forever, I meant now and always.”
This author is newer to me but I will seriously read anything she comes out it. Her writing is so amazing and she approaches sensitive topics in such a beautiful and healing way. I find her stories so unique and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

This second half of Jax and Lexi's story brought the emotional connection they shared to the forefront of the story.
Jax showed a whole new side of himself and the growth he showed in finding a way to move forward with all the thoughts of the past that plagued him was astounding. He didn't just tell Lexi that he was a changed man he showed it over and over with his actions.
I felt so many emotions reading this but truly, even after finishing it I can still feel the utter devastation that I felt hours ago it was deep and my heart was shattered along with Lexi and Jax their pain was palpable and not a feeling I will forget anytime soon.
Jax and Lexi were the most deserving couple's ever of getting their happily ever after full of nothing but good things

his is the third book in this series by this author. This is the continued story of Jax and Lexi. This story have lots of plot twists and is an emotional ride through out. This story of these characters will pull at your heart strings, tissues will definitely be needed with this book. This is a heart breaking beautiful story which also has angst, loss and love. This is a page turner of a read and you will be reading long into the night.

This is the conclusion to Jax and Lexi's story definitely a emotional ride for sure. This pulled at my heart strings so much. Jax grew so much and he was so determined to overcome everythin.this book made me cry but so worth it. I love this book and so glad they got a HEA.

Phew...... The emotions this book made me feel!
Jax and Lexi took me on a journey of all the feels. There were parts that hurt to read. My heart was in my throat as I felt what they were feeling.
Lilians growth as an author has been so fun to watch. Each book I read, the more I see it. I cant wait to see where she goes.
This was not a light read. It hurt. But it was so worth it in the end.

I had never read this authors work before but when I came across her on kindle the books looked so good so I got fragile lies and fragile truths..I am so glad I did. They both were so good and I cried in places and had my heart broken and then mended. Please if you have never read this author before give her a chance. You will be glad you did 💖💖💖💖💖

This book drew out so many emotions! I've never switched emotions so much!😫
These characters are very well suited, I absolutely love the story and their troubles to continue their relationship. Jax has been through a whole lot of grief, and I'm so glad we got to find out more about his grieving and his journey of self help.
I found this book to be more emotional than previous books in the series, a lot more happened and more struggles were had.
I couldn't be more happy that the MCs get their HEA. It wasn't an easy journey for them, but I've really enjoyed this series!

OMG!! LILIAN!! I MISSED JAX AND LEXI SO MUCH AND COULDN'T WAIT TO READ THE REST OF THEIR STORY. BUTTTTTTTTTT YOU BROKE MY HEART IN CHAPTER 24!!

The attraction that they had before, just poured from the book as I was reading it, and you could feel it in every part that you read in their story.
Lexi and Jax have split up (from the previous book), and they need time to themselves. Well, JAX decided that, cause he didn't want Lexi hurt or even worse watch her die, like some others he's watched in his life.
Lexi is beside herself when she finds out some news, but with the support of her bestie, and her parents, she can make it work.
UNTIL JAX RETURNS HOME. Jax realises that he made the biggest mistake letting her go, and wants to try things again, once he gets his head straight. But Lexi needs to tell him her news. It's big news.
How will Jax react?
Will he want her after he hears this?
Can they make it work?
Can they stay with the no sex policy that Lexi put in place? How long will that last, lol!

This duet tore my heart out and then put it back together again. Jax was special from go and I couldn't help but love him. Lexi and Jax's journey is a rough one dedicated to showing us that there is a life after loss.
It may be long and painful to get there but we can find happiness after heartbreak. This book was raw, real, and refreshing all at once. A deeply emotional read not soon forgotten.

All the tears! I swear once I reached a certain point I couldn't stop! Make sure you got so.e tissues for this story because you are going to need it. Jax is definitely the hot alpha male you'll enjoy reading about and his love for Lexi is so strong he wants to get right in the head before he commits to her. Lexi doesn't want a may be with Jax. With the baby on the way, she puts that baby first. The love these two have will have you swooning and routing for them!.

A beautiful ending to their story ❤️
This book is part two and the final book of Jax and Lexi’s story, their story begins in Fragile Lies.
First off, this book does have a HEA but there is a lot of heartache before you get there, heartache that I didn’t expect. That actually made this book so much better in the end when the HEA came about. So fair warning you will ball your eyes out, full on ugly cry. Personally I cried through most of the last 1/3 of the book, granted certain aspects probably hit me a bit hard because of my own personal experience.
In addition to the heartache there is a lot of healing that is done in this book, for both Jax and Lexi. This book wraps up their story in such a beautiful way. And don’t worry, there is plenty of sexy time in this book too. There is also a bit of a teaser for Gabe’s HEA that left me excited for his book.
