Time for Bed, Sleepyheads is a precious book. I imagine this book being read to little ones before bedtime. It is a sweet story about different animals getting their little ones ready for bed. It is a fantasy because the animals are given human-like abilities. This book also helps children learn some new vocabulary. In the book it uses the names of little animals. For example, the baby raccoons in the story are called kits. They can also relate this book to some of their own bedtime routines. This is a book I definately plan on reading to my own children some day.

This book is beautifully illustrated. My mum read this to my sisters and myself every night and we never bored of hearing it. Even when we were teens, if we felt unwell, we requested Time For Bed Sleepyheads. My mum even read it to me the night before my wedding. Love this book.
The text has a lovely soothing rythm.
Highly recommended.

This book was already falling apart and we were told to treat it more carefully when I was 3 or younger. And somehow it lasted (minus one cover and a few pages) for 12 more years. A good book.
