Find out what happens to these star-crossed lovers in “RISK”- The rollercoaster adventure that kicks off “ A Dangerous Romance .” A series with action, suspense, mystery and more steam than a runaway train! Only from Amanda King!
I LOVED this book. It's so many books wrapped up in one. A love story, a suspense story, an action story. This book should be made into a movie. I couldn't stop thinking about it and woke up at 3am and had to finish it. A definite must read. Amanda King is a great writer. I could picture all of her words in my mind. READ THIS BOOK!

I loved this book. I was hooked from the first chapter, it was fun, it had a great plot that developed in to a really interesting story, as a reader I became invested in the characters and what happened to them. Deanna was are likeable fun character with a free spirit, Jack was a straight up Alpha male, together they were just made for each other. The secondary characters just made the story even better. I jumped at the chance to purchase Lily - Deanna ‘s twins story The Gambler as soon as I finished Risk.
An intriguing, action packed story. Neither Jack nor Deanna are perfect. Not that anyone is, but their story is really about two people who go through a lot of adversity, who would never have come together if everything had gone “perfectly” in their lives. They were sort of inspiring.

For me this book came across as a bit of a spoof. The dialogue ranged from cheesy corny, adolescent, over the top and all over the place. Deanna and Jack were likeable enough. Their initial meeting fit into the over-the-top category for me.
Deanna did eventually grow up a bit and thankfully seemed to matured out of the poor-rich girl scenario.
For me the story seemed to be all over the place and as such just felt a bit contrived and didn’t flow naturally. Plus, I couldn’t connect with the characters to be honest. The dialogue just came across too juvenile.
If I just looked at everything as a bit of a spoof on an action thriller, a mystery and a romance story and looked at the at times predictable actions with corny dialogue then things work in that narrow sense. The story was never something that made me swoon and get all hot and bothered about the characters.

Deanna is a 27 year old waitress who is still looking for her life's true happiness...she has been on her own for the past ten years, still seeking...something, but she knows she's definitely done with men after having to flee Vegas after she was $400,000 in debt and now hiding out under assumed name in Arizona...then she meets Jack...and it was instant love...the love at first sight she never believed in...however there were complications and a robbery...but you will need to read this complex, but entertaining story-line that keeps the reader guessing for the entire book...I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.
Book one of A Dangerous Romance series is action packed with twists and turns and plenty of steam. An enjoyable, page turner that is very hard to put down. When you find love, you never let it go even when it comes with Risks. I will already have the rest of the series and I can't wait to dive in.
This romance, action story is more original than I expected. The FL learns a lot about accepting herself and the ML learns about what really happened to him. Great read!
I received a free eBook copy of this title and have willingly provided an honest review.
Working on "The Gambler" with Amanda was an absolute pleasure. I think she absolutely kicked butt with her first solo effort on Risk! This is as close to perfect as a story can get.
For a romance novel, this was a fabulous change to the usual trope.... The characters were really well developed, the plot wasn't mundane, there were twists and turns from Vegas to LA to New Mexico... The events with Melvin, the sheer audacity of the "risk" and the outcomes. I struggled to get any housework done when I was reading this one.... I can't wait to read the follow ups. Even the love scenes were better than in other novels..... I won't spoil it though....I loved... loved... loved the plot, the characters...... and I can't wait to see how the follow ups will develop. I can't imagine going back to the usual tropes.... I think there should be a 5* ++++ rating.
