Yue Fei transmigrates into a novel and becomes the fodder beta male partner of the male lead in the book. His alpha boyfriend marks an omega because he is being led on by the pheromone…
According to the original plot, Yue Fei should do everything possible to make things difficult for the omega. After all, he is the true boyfriend of the alpha, and they are true love if they fall in love without being controlled by the pheromone.
However, Yue Fei, who transmigrated into the novel, yawned: I don’t bother to give these two people a glance.
The family wanted Yue Fei to marry into the rich, because the other party’s first choice was beta. In the original work, Yue Fei, who should do everything possible to escape the marriage and vilify the other party, nodded after listening to the introduction of the middleman: Yes, I’ll get married.
Big Shot Gu Wei: I like smart and tactful people.
Yu Fei’s true thoughts: Marrying into a wealthy family, I don’t have to worry about money and just live my life lavishly forever, why not agree?
After the marriage, one day he was being pressed against the wall and got bit on the back of his neck, Yue Fei was not calm. Why did no one tell him that he was actually an Omega in the original work???!!!
I wanted something light and a little bit pointless to read after I'd finished Kaleidoscope of Death but this... was not quite it. The dogblood drama was way too overwrought and then fizzled out to nothing and it leaned way too hard on the omega discrimination. I don't actually hold out a lot of hope that CN/JN ABOs will take some of the more nuanced approaches that I've seen to this particularly trope, but this one was one of the worst examples of it's type. It was a bit entertaining at first but it's never a good sign that I went looking for another pointless ABO novel to cleanse my palate of this one. I didn't hate it. I just wanted something even slightly better.
Honestly the entire amnesia plot was unnecessary, all it did was to: 1. give ML a hint that MC was a different soul, and 2. reset their relationship progress. After around this part I was like... welp, guess all of that romantic build up from before was just a pointless teaser.
I didn't like how the MC also seemed to lose his personality after he accepted that he was an omega and that he's in love with the ML. Rather than keeping the personality we were shown since the very beginning, he just turned into... almost your typical coquettish shou. From memory whenever the story in the later part wrote about him, it's usually about him acting spoiled and coquettish to the ML, with the occasional comment about how he still wanted to do his study.
Some things were unfortunately left unexplored as well. MC had delayed differentiation, and we were never shown how his family reacted. Even if it's the original body's family and not his actual his family, it's not like they mistreated him or anything...? The ML's beta brother was also used simply as a tool for the plot - just the unfavoured child from start to finish with no change in situation or growth in character.
In short... a pretty entertaining read, but not something I'd highly recommend unless you ran out of better stories to read.

This novel was very good, especially at first. I liked the misunderstandings and slow realizations of love. I also thought the two characters were quite interesting.
However, the random events at the end felt like the author grasping at straws, and I hate how this story followed the typical m-f route of interpreting a happy ending as marriage with kids. For a story that could have been about a-b-o designations not mattering, it became a standard a-b-o story with everyone being happily falling into their assigned roles. The only person who seemed to be disgusted by this was the original, who was pretty disgusting himself (absolutely no sympathy for him and what happened originally, and sort of dissatisfied how he has such easy success afterwards)
Needless to say, I got hired 80% of the way through and skimmed the ending. The translator did a thoroughly nice job though.
I picked up this novel because I am familiar with this genre and wanted something fast and light for my nightly read. The plot seemed interesting and intrigued me.
But, unfortunately, it did not quite live up to my expectations: there was little to no plot (I did mention I wanted something light, but I still expected more); the pacing seemed off at times (either too quick, or with elements that seemed to randomly disappear to understand the story).
While the characters are not bad, they were not really that developed and there was little character development (or at least, it felt very superficial while reading).
I would tell someone in search of something simple, quick and not very complicated to pick up this novel. Otherwise, I feel that readers in search of a story with more substance will be disappointed.
MC transmigrated into a book as a cannon fodder with a BE after he offended both the 2nd ML Alpha and the protagShou Omega. So, he decided to stay away from the protag couple (1st ML Alpha and Omega). However he end up signing a contract with the 2nd ML Alpha. He was so casual about it that I often forgot that 2nd ML was typical domineering CEO and also the same person who exiled both the original host and his family.
Anyway, the main reason I gave it a 3 stars was because the amnesia plot. What the heck was that about? It's pointless and useless.
It's a feel good novel if you ignore the plot holes. It felt like the writer wrote it just for the sake of writing it.
pros: nice main character and love interest with a really nice dynamic, really good pacing at the start up to honestly before then really good overall with a great pacing and character and relationship development + the omega development only happened 20+ chapters in which was a nice touch, translation was good, extras were nice especially the one focused on the original yue fei and the insight into his life and character
cons: the whole amnesia thing (not a fan of that trope at all), while the novel was fine after it got somewhat resolved it never came back to being as engaging as before
Rating: 3/5- A well told story that’s not too fancy or underwhelming.
It’s enjoyable overall but not like absolutely remarkable if it’s kind. The series of interactions, misunderstanding and eventual relationship build up was satisfying and logical.
The rest of the plot however was beyond bland- there’s really nothing else to it.
A good read overall with likeable leads but forgettable side characters that could have been explored more. The story about the couple is told well up until the amnesia trope. Im honestly not a fan of stories that use amnesia as part of the plot so this messed with my overall opinion of the book.

It was pretty bad overall. The first half was okayish, but I lost interest in middle of all the family drama of ML (all of it was very vague and couldn’t really make me involved), I stopped reading for a while and didn’t miss the story but in the end decided to finish it and oh boy I regret this decision wholeheartedly. The second half is terrible. MC for some reason lost all the personality and turned into an Omega. That’s literally his main characteristic, nothing to add. The story uses unnecessary and ridiculous amnesia trope. Why? I wouldn’t know. The story isn’t worth my time

It's a good novel, but some things were not told clearly and by that I dont mean the censorship but other things, alright? For example, MC's relationship with his family. Also whats up with Gu Xing? I kinda wanna know how he and Lu Lin gonna end up, ngl. Also, did Gu dad finally realise how incompetent he is? Also, how did they clarify MC's gender with public? It's not important but it kinda matter for me 🥺 sequel, please?
it was fine at first but that amnesia plot in the middle was really unneeded other than being a cheap way for the MC and ML to have an excuse to form a better relationship while recovering
i thought the part where the og MC came back for a bit was pretty cool
there was too little detail on what happened to those in the Gu family that opposed the ML and the A/O pair that was the MC’s ex

3.25/5 This was sweet and light! A bit dramatic at times, amnesia twice? transmigration twice? For what exactly? But that wasn't too bad since the mc and ml's interactions are sweet and interesting under these peculiar circumstances.

I love abo so... it's super easy to read, it's also a marriage contract novel and I'm a sucker for this lol it was fun and light to read. It's a good novel to read in-between angst ones
Should this more objectively be around a 3 star? Yes. Does it change the fact I enjoyed it, it was exactly what I needed it to be, and I don’t want to be harsh with it? Nope. So, a four star it is.
This book is pretty basic. It’s mostly about two people, who enter a contract marriage, but very quickly fall in love with each other… if only these dumbasses would figure that out. I admit, that took a hell of a lot of time, but for me since this was just such a mellow read, I didn’t really mind. Quite a few people complained about it in the comments, though, so it should be mentioned. Regardless, they were very devoted and sweet with each other.
The ‘villain’, such as it is, are very one-dimensional and a little pathetic, but not all villains can be winners. Anyway, I don’t have much to say about it – it was a quick read that I enjoy and was quite helpful in alleviating some of my anxiety lol

I'm baffled by the author's choice in setting with this one. If you can't (because of censorship) or won't (because of yourself) write smut, then why choose such a horny ABO setting for your novel?????? This bitches were going at it with the most ridiculous flowery randomness. The translator did their best but I had a nightmare with the "Well knotted hands" phrase in it.
The fluff was there. But that is the only thing that joined the room. Plot? what plot? estrus without plot. Character development? What for? who needs that in a character driven book? Here, we certainly don't (or so the author thought). Some characters and plot points were introduced and then dismissed in favor of the unwritten smut. ARE WE FUCKIN SERIOUS HERE? What the F** happened to Yue Fei family? did they die tragically before the second half and no one told us??? how could they all just disappear like that???? Are you telling that your beta son turns into an Omega, has a car accident, suffers from amnesia all of this while his husband's company is in duress and you only call ONCE? This could actually be belivable if the author had set this characters dynamics like this from the start! But at the beggining, Yue Fei's family is very loving and caring... He has his hold-ups "because they're not his real family" but still, that's just his one sided issue that never got adressed. As for the farmaceutical development... that was potentially interesting. An ABO novel were pheromones could be better controled and Omegas don't have to be fearful of their estrus, how cool is that? not cool enough for this book! Because the author mentioned this randomly and never brought it up again :))))))))))))))))))) how TF did Gu Wei "crippled" his cousin's pheromones???? We don't fuckin know! Although, some of us would really like to!
I have a lot more of complains, like characters being there for a scene and then completely omitted or replaced in the next one (this could be a translation issue tho) or the in-novel MC and ML. They were slightly used as a plot device and randomly brought up as the plot needed them and then absolutely forgotten afterwards. They were 24/7 in the background waiting to be summoned, this poor loosers...
As for the cliches of Gu Wei "hating" omegas and having "omegaphobia" and being disgusted by their pheromones EXCEPT for Yue Fei's...(also known as "gay for yoy" trope) I'm actually okay with that lol Even with the whole development after the amnesia bullshit. It was kind of needed to kinda (maybe?) justify how Yue Fei became so fuckin dumb! All of his agency left the room with his memories and by the end, his memories came back (obviously) but his agency nope. He became every other omega in every other ABO book... his BETA habits completely obliterated by the power of pheromones. whatever.
One star is the default, the second one I give because Gu Wei was kinda hot when manipulating Yue Fei into falling for him. I like a scheming character, he did good in this front.
Edit 13/07/25: fixed some typos. Not all tho I like my typos, they show how enraged I was at this book lol
Loved the bickering couple and all the fluff until the amnesia trope appeared. It's really a shame I don't enjoy that so it kinda ruined the book for me. At the same time, the author completely forgot about the birthday gift from Yue Fei at one point so it does have plot holes.
