Needed lots of editing. Felt like two different story in one book. No real reasons for the riff in the relationship. I think I would have liked the story more if it was about Matthew and Cindy, or Jessie and her boyfriend.

I didn't love the first book, but at least it was better than this one. Bummer.

In a effort for full disclosure I received this book as a ARC in an exchange for an honest review.

Picking up from where Take a Breath ended, Ana feels betrayed by Jake so much so she stays in bed for days. Jessie and colleague seems determined not to see her give up. Ana feels there is no other option but to get on with her life, and try her best to get over Jake. However, some startling secrets are revealed that blow that whole idea wide apart. Jake is resolute in winning Ana’s heart back, vowing to fight for her, however long it takes.

WOW WOW WOW this book has it all! Drama, suspense tantrums and a generous amount of ice cream. We literally start this book of from when Ana walks into Jessie's apartment and unloads Jake's betrayal and behavior then takes to her bed. When the reason why Ana's Mum has come back hurts Ana more, she decides that her relationship is done. Ana picks herself and gets back to work after a face to face confrontation Jake, only to have EVERYTHING she has ever believed in blown apart. Then a monster from Ana's childhood comes back to haunt her. Ana needs help and after going FBI she also reveals her past to Jake. Then one night changes Ana's relationship with Jake and now Ana doesn't know if Jake will want her again. I LOVE this book, just when you thought things are finally calm enough for Jake and Ana to sort things out BAM! something out of left field comes and throws you for a loop. Its a great conclusion to Take a Breath. Jaimie Roberts is a great author and I can't wait to read more of her books.

Take it Deep 5 STAR Review

OMG! OMG! OMG! What a absolutely fantastic read. I had the privilege of reading the ARC sent From Jaimie Roberts herself. I loved Book 1 Take a Breath and the cliffhanger ending left me wanting more!
Take it Deep is one of those books that you can't put down but you don't want it to end either!
It was SEXY, FUNNY and GRIPPING. I loved all the Characters and the storyline. The story takes you through a roller coaster of emotions... Frustration-sadness-laughing...then more laughing! maybe a cold shower in some parts too due to Jake my caveman is so sexy you wouldn't believe it!
I'm trying so hard not to give anything away as I don't to spoil it ....this is a must read you truly won't be disappointed.

well Done Jaimie Roberts :)

I must say I couldn't wait for this book and it was great but I got very frustrated with the way Ana was behaving she needed a good swift kick up the backside if you ask me reading to the end was worth the frustration tho and I hope there is another book for Matthew and Cindy he is such a lovely young man and she is so sweet !!!!!

Started out great, then just fizzled. Very disappointed. I waited so long for the release, that I guess I anticipated it would be like the first one. I think story could have been written into 1 book. This didn't need to be a 2 book series.
Not too sure where the author was going with that Epilogue. I guess a book about Matthew is coming out. Personally, I hope not.

Jaimie Roberts is an author known for writing books with difficult, dark plots, but she always gives a chance to 'happily ever after'.
This trilogy is dense, and because this one is the middle book, it has a cliffhanger.
I like dark books, however, I confess that I have a certain difficulty reading stories about characters who are evil without a logical reason (I know, evil shouldn't even exist, but we can understand, even if we don't accept, certain types of trauma ).
It turns out that the villain in this book is terrible, and the reasons are nonsense. In fact, she is a lazy person who always wants to win, even if it means going over other people, especially the person she promised to protect, in an eternal competition like "you remind me that I'm getting old"...
The main character also didn't do much to earn my sympathy, and Jake is an idiot.
I hope all this suffering is worth it for them to be happy in the end.

This book is book two in the Take It series, and it concentrates more on the relationship between Ana and her mother, Stella, and how Jake fits in with it. There were so many twists and turns in his book that my head was spinning, and I wouldn't say I liked the fact that Jake and Ana spent most of the book apart, and she spent all her time with Michael or avoiding Jake, which I disagree with, it should have been a priority for her to sort things out with Jake. Even when Alan was stalking her, she kept it a secret, and I wanted to slap her inner monologues.

So book two also ends on a cliffhanger, but one I was expecting if I'm honest. It was apparent, but I loved it all the same.

I didn't like this book as much as book one as a lot of it was Stella being a bitch, Jake accepting it, and Ana just crying about the fact that it could be Jake's baby for the whole book, which got annoying. I just found this book didn't really keep up the pace, and I missed Jake and Ana together, and it had only been like weeks, and I couldn't keep up with three weeks later stuff.

Overall, the book was good, just not the best. I did finish it in one day.

I enjoyed the first book. I don't know if my expectations were too high, but it fell short. There were too many plot lines, some things were rushed, and Ana was exceptionally whiny. I don't really understand how Ana killed someone and never had therapy. It just wasn't cohesive. I really did like the first book, and look forward to reading what the author publishes going forward. This book, however, was just meh for me.

Another amazing book from Jaime Roberts. Been anxiously waiting for this to be released after reading number 1 Take a Breath and it was everything and more. This is part 2 in Jamie’s first trilogy and I cannot wait for book 3 although I don’t want Anna and Jake’s story to end.

I really wanted to like this, but it was a lost cause. I've given my best to at least finish it, which I did, so hooray!!!
Why did I not like this one?
Ah, the most obvious answer would be that it was just plain stupid. We have a heroine that upon meeting two different guys, after her 'big break up', immediately announces it to them; it goes something like this:
Hey, why are you crying, everything ok?
Yeah, I just had this big, bad break up, so I'm still little shaken..
Who does it, you have never seen them before, and within first minute you tell them your life story, wtf?!
And it just goes from bad to worse..
She's annoying, pregnant and hormonal to the extreme. Author keeps saying how cute some situations are, how normal some of her reactions are, and I was just left thinking- could this become any more stupid.. And, I guess it could, because the last 5o or so pages were disaster.
Eh, I did not like the first one either, but I think this one was way worse..

I had a problem finishing this book, It was actually a struggle not to drop it and continue with something else. I was actually surprised, since I liked the first book a lot. Ana was completely childish, I understand that Jake hurt her, but she was always like "Oh he broke my heart I don't know if I can forgive him" and the next minute she sleeps with him switch to the next page "Oh this was a mistake", It was impossible to keep up with her. I was really hoping Jake would take the decision to move on, so that's a bad sign.

Another thing I didn't liked so much in this book was the action scene, I felt it's rushed, I was expecting more details or to be almost end of the book, but no, it was completely unexpected and not in a pleasantly surprised way.

I was prepared to give this book 1 star, but being honest the las chapters made me change my mind a little bit, so 2 stars it is.

Just beautiful

I absolutely loved this series. Anna and Jake are perfect for each other. The sex was down right steamy and sometimes crime elements in romances can dominate a book but not this one. It was perfectly balanced with some major plot twists, and some predictable one too but it was entirely well done. My only complaint was that the writing could be a bit choppy and sometimes the punctuation was off but it in no way took away from the story. The grammar was all correct and always made sense so it was ok. And believe me nothing passes me off more than a good idea badly written and not proffered read but this wasn't that at all. So if you like alpha males, steamy sex, foul mouthed friends, and beautiful endings then this is the book for you. I would have paid 10times what I did for this series so Please Please read this book you will not be disappointed.

This is a continuation of the take a breath book. There are good and ok things to this book. The first thing that I liked about this story is it gives us an understanding of what happened after the last book ended, The next is the way the story line for this book was written it is good and keeps the reader interested but at the same time is really drawn out. My ok things is it seems like the author could have shortened the problems between Jake and Ana, given a better epilogue that included what happened a little further out for all of the characters. I do not want to say to much about this because it will ruin parts of the book for some people. Overall it is a good story has some grammatical errors and it still leaves unanswered questions about many of the characters. I would recommend.

I liked the first book, Ana and Jake's relationship was okay to me, no problems there and I actually likes Ana. The 2th book I understood why Ana was hesitant at first I mean seeing your mom back after so long and then holding Jake and Jake doing nothing I get that, but Ana became this really hateful annoying person in my opinion. Her reasons for not telling Jake and still hooking up with him and leading him on. she was becoming so selfish. Being scared sure okay I get that but she was becoming a B'tch. The ending well I wish we had an epilogue with Ana and Jake not from Matthew and I hope we get some closure..Maybe a 2.5 book About Ana and Jake's life after.....

That gif sums up all I felt while reading this book.
It's even worse than the first one. There's no plot, everything goes everywhere, completely ridiculous. At least the first one had one.

The secondary characters were the best - Matthew, Jessie - and Jake and Ana didn't deserve a second book. So annoying. Ana was so a bitch, I didn't think she could possibly be worse...

As for the first one, this book needs an entire rewriting. So much work to do.

He's her Barn Owl. Lovely ending to a sweet story

Jake and Ana complete there story after Mom shows up saying she's pregnant with Jake's baby.

Ana runs away moves in with Jessie. Deals with her Stepfather again and has a night with Jake to go down in history after her birthday bash.

Jake and Ana end up together even with Ana trying to run away. He loves her. He's her Barn Owl.

Sweet story, not overly graphic with sex scenes which is a welcomed site. Sometimes you just want a sweet read.

Just as awesome as Take A Breath. I love Take It Deep.

Take It Deep continues on from Take A Breath. Ana has taken sanctuary in Jessie's spare bedroom. Hasn't spoken to Jake, Matthew or her mum in days. Life couldn't get any hard for Ana could it!! She copes with everything that comes her way and moves on to the next problem. If she can't find the answers, I am sure the Ice Cream could help.

I would recommend both books in this series. Awesome

It was okay. My main problem was with the lead character she cried like the wind blew. Understandably she was hurt but I needed her to act like an adult. There were a few twists and turns that I didn't see coming. It didn't have the same flow as the first book a lot of the story was repetitive.
