This has been such a great series and this story just adds to it!
I love a story of childhood friends/acquaintances that both had secretly had a crush on each other but neither does anything about it. Then come back together in unforeseen circumstances!!
She was his best friend's sister, and she'd always had a special place in his heart. When he became a member of the DCSR, a disaster brought them together. Now if only they can act on that long ago feeling to find true love!
Jenna does it again and I always know I will turn the last page with a smile!
This was a cute romance. I liked how the characters grew up together but how they didn’t feel like they could tell each other how they felt because of the Sean being Courtney’s brother’s best friend. I liked how as they got older they were willing to fight for what they wanted in order to be together. I also liked that Sean was able to help Courtney with dealing with her anxiety. It was nice to see them working together to help each other out.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.
🌀🌀ONE INCREDIBLE THRILL RIDE🌀🌀 Bulging buckets burt! Jenna outdoes herself once more, delivering one enticingly bewitching, skillfully tantalizing, sinfully delightful rock-my-world tempest, bringing all the spills, chills and churning feels, tugging at your heartstrings and catapulting all of those swirling emotions into play front and center, launching this sweet little treat to staggering heights. One heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, block busting dynamo, flirting with such riveting drama, gripping intrigue, underlying currents, spinning danger, electrifying suspense and nailbiting situations ensue, exhibiting the soaring ups and agonizing downs, breathtaking in it's simplicity and inspiring in it's strength, fusing this baby together seamlessly. Unforseen events and horrendous occurrences tilt this jewel on its axis, revving up the exuberance and fervor, swapping hats and playing favorites as futures are forged and vows are pledged, launching this baby to life spectacularly. The characters interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow adding depth and diversity, transforming into genuine charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and graphic descriptions creating an elaborate backdrop that feels as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Brilliant job Jenna, thanks for sharing this amazing thrill with us.
Another wonderful romance featuring the rescue heroes of DCSRA. This is Sean's story. He returns to his hometown to help in search and rescue during a tornado. He bumps into Courtney, his best friend's little sister. He has had a crush on her since they were kids but wouldn't act on it due to his friendship with her brother. She has a crush on him too but has never acted on it. As they work through several tornadoes together they have to fight their attraction. It's a very sweet story with some harrowing storms to weather. Love the SAR crews! I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is a well written story of a second chance at love. Courtney is a talented singer/songwriter woh works as a music teacher. Sean is a K9 instructor at DCSR. After a tornado, they are thrown back together. This story has a serious strike against it. The author does not really understand anxiety disorder. There are things Sean would have to learn to deal with to be in a long-term relationship with Courtney. The story does not address any these issues. These are things that love does not couquer but requires work and understanding to live with the disadvantages. If Courtney had been without this disadvantage it would have been a 5 start read.
Courtney and Sean's story is an excellent addition to this series. I love the genre where there was a secret crush of both characters in high school but nothing was done about it for various reasons and fortunately, circumstances bring them both together again later in life so their "crushes" can be realized! Sean is a search and rescue teacher for the DCSR and when his hometown is hit by a tornado, his team is dispatched there to help find survivors. Courtney still lives there and has some anxiety issues, which means her family hovers over her! I enjoyed the characters and the story!
I think most of us like the idea of a big, hunky rescuer, and this story didn't disappoint. If only big brother hadn't gotten in their way, they could've been together sooner. This wonderful, sweet story was a quick read because the actual story was shorter than the total page count shown for it. About 30% was a sneak peek at the next book in the series written by Jenna, The Pop Singer Rescue, which doesn't come out until October and directly relates to this story. I don't do sneak peeks because I'm way too impatient!
Courtney and Sean I really like the series this book like the others has great characters who are down-to-earth and just good people. Yes, you know how it will end but how the author does it is where the magic is. It is a clean love story with just the right amount of drama and danger to get you glued to its pages. There are a few twists to keep it interesting and fun to read. Courtney and Sean's journey was an awesome read that I highly recommend. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
'High school me would be so elated to hear you say that!'
Sean and Courtney have danced around their attraction for years...he trying to do the right thing and stay away from his best friends little sister and her believing he could never want her. But Sean can only resist for so long, can they survive not only the tornados but also those in town who don't want them together? A sweet romance which I read on Kindle Unlimited.
The Cowgirl Rescue is a fast paced, well written addition to the Disaster City Search and Rescue series. What a final exam! When a tornado devastates his hometown, Sean takes his trainees to search through the aftermath. When Sean reconnects with Courtney, they will both have some work to do before their romance can happen. This book will have you on the edge of your seat as more tornados threaten.
This is an exciting romance laced with drama and suspense when Courtney and Sean connect after a string of tornado's crash through town and his team of DCSR come in to help. He is her brother's best friend that she had a crush on in high school but she never thought he felt the same way but she was wrong and now they realize they lost time with each other in the past but now want to change that. Loved the characters and the action of the rescue as they fall for each other allover again.
I have really enjoyed this series. Being 10 years old than my brother I never had an issue with being interested in his friends, but I do enjoy reading about the "bro" code that prevents best friends dating their friend's younger sisters. Sean, Courtney and James were probably the only ones who weren't aware of the attraction between Sean and Courtney. This is one time when a disaster brought something good.
The romance part was predictable... but that's not a surprise. The journey there is the draw. Right?
This story stars the hometown girl and her big brother's best friend. The surprises are the disasters AND the reactions of a few of the characters. I like the way the author can take similar plots, but still take the reader to new paths to the HEA.
A sweet hometown story of a brothers best friend and sister crushing on each other but kept apart by the brother. Older and wiser they decide to date. With tornadoes swirling and rescuing to be done things are quite busy. But finding time for each other is important. They prove you can have it all. I received a complimentary copy and my review is voluntary.
With the tornado season upon us, this is a fitting book. Sean is in Search and rescue and he is in his hometown of Woody since a tornado went thru. Courtney is a music teacher there, born and raised and Sean is a friend of her brother's James. But James is determined to keep them apart. Second chance of love book. HEA.
Enjoyed Sean and Courtney's story. Sean had been Courtney's crush ever since Jr. High School, only problem, he was her brothers best friend. I read this in a day, kept picking it back up till I was finished reading. If you like clean stories with heart, you will like 'The Cowgirl Rescue'. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
Another winner in a great series! This is a well written book that hooks you on the first page. Courtney and Sean's story will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. It's a clean romance that has drama, suspense and romance. This book was a wonderful read and I highly recommend it.
I really enjoyed reading this story! The stars of this story had been in love with each other since junior high but neither knew about the other one's feelings. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance!
The cowgirl Rescue is a quick paced exciting book with plenty of tornado activity. I like that Sean and Courtney had been friends for many years. I like that they found a way to overcome their fears and admit their feelings.
When you are back home in a disaster, sometimes you get to reconnect with past crushes. Having your best friends sister your crush its hard to break that line. But its possible. A fast drama of tornado damage and love.
Reading this story was like inviting a whole new group of friends into your life. I especially enjoyed reading about real life anxiety disorders and how debilitating they can be. They can be but with God's grace we can get through them.
Sweet story about unrequited young love coming full circle in adulthood under unusual circumstances. Living in tornado alley, there really can be that many tornadoes and that much community and help.
Sean is coming home to help them . He runs into Courtney and remembers the feelings he felt for her but curbed because she was his best friends sister. Can they make it work? Such a great book.
Another great book in this series about Disaster Search and Rescue. This books tells of a young woman who had anxiety problems and the guy she fell in love with in high school was her brothers best friend. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
This is a sweet romance but not as action- packed as I had hoped. Brother's best friend through high school is who younger sister has had a crush on forever. However, her older brother doesn't think this romance would last and makes quite a scene.
Being a member of the DCSR team, Sean is called back to his hometown to help find tornado victims. He never expects to rescue one of his childhood friends. He also never expected to encounter trouble from his high school best friend. Great story about tornado disasters in Texas.
Loved this book. They were so cute, loved them. Sean was trying so hard to resist her but to no avail, he wanted and lover her and that was that. Courtney was trying to guard her heart but stood no chance against her true love. I wouldn't mind if her brother James had a story too :)
