Being the token divorcee at a tropical resort sounded about as far from paradise as I could imagine. But knowing that my ex would be footing half the bill after he’d traded me in for a newer model was reason enough to take the trip.
“It’ll do you good to relax and get away from it all,” my friends had said. But “it all” was all that was keeping me together. Even strong women stumble when the rug is pulled out from under them. Two weeks alone with my thoughts—and an unlimited drinks package—might kill me.
Then I met Gavin--the Caribbean Irish god who convinced me to try scuba diving again. The persuasive dive shop owner offered the perfect distraction. I hadn’t done it—or most anything else that I loved and my ex didn’t—since my honeymoon. But scuba wasn’t the only thing Gavin helped me rediscover. Maybe a vacation rebound was just what I needed—if it didn’t break my already fractured heart.
Macy is a foul-mouthed tennis addict whose sweet side comes out with her two teenage sons. She loves to write about sassy women who like their men Alpha in the bedroom and Beta at the breakfast table. Strong, smart heroines inspire her as much as hard-bodied heroes with hearts of gold.
Her passion is writing erotic stories that appeal to smart women, and men. She loves to show that happily-ever-after can come in many forms and can keep getting better, through characters ballsy enough to push their own boundaries to cross the line from fantasy to reality. She hopes to inspire readers to think outside the confines of social norms.

This would make a great beach read. Tessa has just been through a divorce. A much needed vacation gives her more than she expected when she meets Gavin a younger man. I thought this was a nice cute read.
I loved Tessa and Gavin’s story. This is a sweet, steamy romance with second chances and chasing dreams. It’s a feel good story that I didn’t want to put down
this was a really great book! she is finally free from her ex husband. now its time for a vacation to relax. only she meets a hot younger man. you have to read to find out what happens.
This story was a meet cute between a recently divorced workaholic and a relaxed Caribbean diver who was much younger. Its always a good idea to have a romance in the Caribbean, as its weather and beaches lend themselves to paradise, even in my head. Tessa had to be poked and proded to go, but I had to guess what her business was since it was only mentioned fleetingly at about 30% of the book, and confirmed definitely towards the end. Once she's there? She meets Gavin who seems too good to be true.
It was nice to read about her insecurities, which lent the story credibility. Its really a fun and flirty story, fast paced and sexy in places. Gavin was swoonworthy, and the dives they went on were very interesting. You will wanna meet a Gavin in the Caribbean and drop all responsibilities to live there. I know I do! But Tessa doesn't drop her responsibilities, and her biggest problem is starting new. A very relatable ideal for us older women! But when Gavin chases her, I highlighted his "You complete me" speech.
"“That I didn’t want you to go. That I couldn’t picture tomorrow without you. That I knew it was impossible but I wanted you to stay.” Gavin’s deep breath was as shaky as mine felt. “It seemed ridiculous to hope that you’d leave your life behind and stay with me, but that’s what I wanted. Then I looked at my own life, and I wasn’t sure I even wanted it. When something I was sure I did want was slipping away, I realized I would happily leave it all behind to have the chance to be with you, Tessa.”"
Gawd, I don't know anyone who wouldn't melt into goo after that statement. The ending was great and again credible. I liked the way the story was fluffy and playful, with characters the that had great chemistry. Looking forward to her next book
Paradise Found a spectacular read, sweeping the reader's away to a beautiful island and falling in love. A beautifully written story with many twists and turns, pulling the readers in and keeping them there until the very last page. A fun, fast paced, flirty and sexy romance story; a romance in the Caribbean, with its weather and beaches contribute to paradise. With well-developed and captivating characters, that have an amazing chemistry, readers with fall in love with this story, and can relate to this storyline and can only dream of it becoming their reality.

Paradise Found is a typical romance novel story. The MFC, Tessa, is a newly divorced woman who co-owns a San Francisco marketing firm with her ex-husband. The MMC, Gavin, is a younger man who runs multiple dive shops on the Cayman Islands.
Immediately after her divorce is final, Tessa leaves San Fran for a much needed getaway on the Cayman Islands. While there, she meets Gavin and starts a flirty friendship with the much younger man. Of course, they end up getting together & having great sex. Then, they decide they're in love with each other. If this isn't a typical romance novel, I don't know what is.
Could such a romance become a HEA? Maybe. As someone who's been married over 40 years, I know it's possible to have, and maintain, a loving relationship but there are always challenges. Can a couple who've known each other only 2 weeks successfully navigate all those challenges? Possibly. That's why it's called romantic fiction.
Tessa is recently divorced from her cheating husband of 18 years. Her secretary and her best friend have made the arrangements for Tessa to take a vacation in the Cayman Islands. While there, she meets a quite younger than her man that is a dive instructor. And is extremely attracted to him. This is a story about second chances, finding yourself after being lost in a long, bad relationship. It’s well written and you can almost feel the ocean breezes on your skin, as well as taste the drinks and food because of Macy Butler’s descriptions. I thoroughly enjoyed this beachy read and am excited to read the rest of the series. If this is your thing why not go give this first in series book a try?!
I really enjoy Macy Butlers interpretations! This one about a newly divorced workaholic who is forced to take a vacation. The location is beautiful and Tessa begins to find the woman she had lost during her unhappy marriage. Can she let go of the known and take a leap of faith? Gavin the sexy younger scuba instructor entices her to dive into the deep end. Maybe this second chance will give her more than she could imagine in her depressed lonely previous existence. Maybe diving will open her up to even a more fulfilling life ! Great book, scenery was so well described I’m ready for an island vacation myself !
I really love the style of writing of this author as she never fails to transport you to amazing book worlds. I also like the way she cleverly intertwines and connects her books, through places or characters. Her book universe is definitely a feel good place to visit. This read is steamy, sweet and full of joy and hope. It will make you smile and feel good but Tessa’s journey will also resonate as brave and inspiring. The setting is gorgeous and makes me want to travel again. Overall it’s easy to read in the best possible way. A wonderful, feel good read that’ll leave you smiling and wanting more.
She’s a newly divorced forty-one year old forced to take a two week island vacation. He’s a 28 year old dive instructor. They may not be your typical romantic pair but the sparks definitely fly between these two. Butler creates great characters in this tale of life after divorce and what it takes to let go of the past and reach for something better. The storyline is easy to fall into and the emotions are real enough to tug on your heartstrings. This is my first book by Butler but it won’t be my last.
This was a cute read, definitely would make for a good beach read. There was a solid amount of repetition, and the conversations felt a little stilted and unrealistic at times, but I really enjoyed how this story unfolded. I'll definitely be picking up the second book! I met Macy at a convention last year, and she is so sweet - I definitely saw a touch of her in Tessa. I enjoyed Tessa's growth through this book and absolutely rooted for her the whole way. This might have to be a reread next time I'm at the beach!
Paradise Found is a cute older woman, younger man romance. I (much like her friend Elliott) was literally cheering for Tessa , a recent divorcee who is coerced to take a vacation. The tropical setting made the perfect setting for the steamy "connections" between Gavin and Tessa. The attention to details regarding the dives added a fun element to the story. There is so much to love about Tessa and Gavin's fairy tale-pour yourself a drink and enjoy!
Find romance and herself in the Caribbean. A terrific book that wa,s fun to read. Co-owning a business with her ex-husband, who recently divorced her, makes Tessa struggle to put her life back togther. A t the suggestion of her assistane and best friend she takes one. Two glorious weeks in Grand Cayman that will change her life. The writing makes you feel like you are there enjoying the beach, coral reefs, and delicous food and dirnks. I need a vacation like this one.
What a fun read. The main character Teresa decides to leave for a vacation while leaving a failed marriage behind. While on vacation she discovers a much younger hot scuba instructor Gavin who pursues her at every turn. Will their age gap make a difference? Not if Gavin has anything to say about it. You must read to see how their relationship blooms into a hot romance. You won’t be disappointed.
You know how sometimes you read a book at the perfect time? I found this book at the absolutely perfect time for my life.
This reverse age gap was a great read for me. Tessa is a divorcee workaholic who was forced by her assistant to go on a vacation. She's buried herself in her job and isn't ready to come up for air. Until she meets Gavin. He's a dive instructor who convinces her to leave her comfort zone, and she revels in the freedom. But vacations can't last forever, and she tries to return to her old life. But her life isn't what she thought it was, and this vacation changed everything for her. She realizes what she wanted out of life isn't what she's made her life- but is it too late for her younger dive instructor?
I absolutely loved the realizations that Tessa faced, and the struggle she had to change her course.
Tessa is newly divorced and trying to make headway with everything. A vacation might be the best thing for that. Gavin is a local and runs the dive shop. The first time they meet is at the hotel bar. The second time is on the beach. The attraction is off the charts but Tessa isn't ready and feels to old for him. But what will happen when she gives in? She's only in town for two weeks? Will there be a HEA?
I enjoyed this older woman, younger man romance. Gavin was carefree and fun, but he also knew how to be serious and take life as it came. Starting over after a bitter divorce is never easy, and Tessa wasn't expecting to meet someone new who would make her question her life's path. I enjoyed this engaging romance story. And it's never too late to find love again.
This book was a pretty good story but gave a lot of details that were not really needed and tended to bog down the story until the end when it finally all came together. It was a cute read about a woman that just went through a divorce and still has to work with her ex, but she found someone in the Caribbean and found herself as well through the journey.
I really loved Tessa and Gavin's story. She really made me feel like I was in their shoes. You could feel the hesitation, fear and vulnerability as it was happening. A second chance at love and life, all while chasing a dream. She had me rooting for them the whole way. I'll definitely be reading more from Macy Butler!
A wonderful beach read, light, romantic with some steaminess. Tessa, now divorced, goes on a well-deserved vacation and from there meets Gavin, the dive instructor. I enjoyed the story, the romance and the struggles Tessa experiences. It is a perfect summer beach read. The story continues in the next novel, Paradise Keys which I will to ensure I read it.
I fell in love with Tessa's story and I felt all her emotions through the whole book. I really feel like alot of people can relate to this book! I can't wait to see what happens in the future for Tessa.
This was an amazing book! We follow the story of Tessa, who gets away on a much needed vacation and finds more than she ever bargained for. The characters were well thought out, and the romance was STEAMY!! This one was beautifully written and I found it hard to put down!
Where to start? I could start with the fabulous characters. I have to say that Tessa embodies the feelings every woman most likely has at least once in her life. I can see myself in her shoes: a vulnerable divorcee. Of course she didn’t stay that way. I feel like I learned a lot about diving as I read. I would love to dive someday.
This book is fantastic! It’s like a new version of How Stella Got Her Groove Back. It’s sweet, charming, funny, and HOT! I love the characters in this book; Gavin is dreamy, Tessa is awesome, and I think everyone needs an Elliot in their life. I can’t wait to read more from Macy.
Paradise Found is a Hot Hot Hot steamy must read. Paradise Found is an amazing book. I can't wait to read Keys to Paradise. Macy your a brilliant writer and an amazing person. I can't wait to see what you come out with next.
I was overly excited about winning a book by a new author on Goodreads! Macy Butler takes on in an exciting journey through the Caymans. Choosing a slower paced life! I felt like I was on vacation! Wonderful read!
This was objectively a fine book, there was nothing offensively wrong, and having met Macy, I really wanted to love it. Unfortunately the tropes just were not for me in this one,but I will definitely read more by this author
I recommend this book to adults only. I loved this story. I don’t giveaway any of the story because I don’t like for the story to be told to ruin the story for others. I do love this book.
