Otia Ioseliani (Georgian: ოტია იოსელიანი) (June 16, 1930 – July 14, 2011) was a Georgian prose writer and dramatist, whose plays have been successfully staged in Georgia as well as in other countries of the former Soviet Union and East Germany.
Otia Ioseliani was born in the village of Gvishtibi, Tsqaltubo District, in then-Soviet Georgia. He began writing in the mid-1950s and published his first collection of stories in 1957. The nationwide recognition came with his first novel The Falling Stars (ვარსკვლავთცვენა, 1962), which, like Ioseliani's many early works, treated the theme of World War II.[1] He then tackled in his works a great variety of themes using different artistic styles. In the 1960s and 1970s, he published popular novels such as Once There Was a Woman (იყო ერთი ქალი, 1970), Taken Prisoner by Prisoners (ტყვეთა ტყვე, 1975), and a number of stories.
In the 1960s, Ioseliani first tried his hand at screen scripts and theatre plays, resulting, among others, in the comedies Until the Ox-Cart Turns Over (სანამ ურემი გადაბრუნდება, 1969) and Six Old Maids and a Man (ექვსი შინაბერა და ერთი მამაკაცი, 1971), which were successful enough to fill the theatres in East Berlin.
Ioseliani died in 2011 at the age of 81. He was buried in the yard of his own house in his native Gvishtibi according to the will of the late writer. Among his awards was Georgia's Order of Honor.

বাচো বয়সে পুঁচকে হলে কী হবে, বাহাদুর শিকারী। বন্দুক হাতে যখন বেরোয়, দেখে ভয় খায় স্বয়ং বনের রাজা সিংহ-ও। এদিকে পশুপাখিদের জন্য খুবই আন্তরিক প্রাণ বাচো'র। মায়ের দুধের পর বাঘের দুধ যে ছেলের কাছে সবথেকে প্রিয়, বাঘ-বাচ্চারা যে তার পালিত ভাই-বোন হবে, তা আর আশ্চর্য কী?
একদিন খবর পেলো, তাঁর ভাইবোন বাঘছানাদের দেখা মিলছে না। কী করা? খোঁজ নামালো বাচো।
এমনিতে বড় ভাই বড় বোনের কাছে গল্প না শুনে অভিমানে ঘুমায় না যে বাচ্চাটি, বাঘভাই-বাঘবোনদের খুঁজে আনতে দিব্যি দায়িত্ব নিয়ে বনে পা বাড়ালো বাচো। পথে দুরূহ মরুভূমি পাড়ি দিয়ে তাঁর সে এক মহা অভিযান, 'বাচো আর গোচা'।
ও, গোচা কে? বাচোর পাশের বাড়ির আরেক নাদুসনুদুস ছেলে। সারাদিন এটা-ওটা সব খেয়ে বেড়ানো যার শখ। গোচা-ও আরেক সহৃদয় ছেলে। যে স্বেচ্ছায় এগিয়ে না এলে বাচো'র অভিযান পূর্ণতা পেতোই না।

তো, অল্পতে শুনে ফেললে হবে? পুরো গল্পটা পড়ে দেখতে হবে না?

ওতিয়া ইওসেলিয়ানি জর্জিয় লেখক (প্রাক্তন সোভিয়েত য়ুনিয়নের অংশ)। তাঁর এই লেখাটা অনুবাদ করেছেন ননী ভৌমিক। এতদিন পর, ২০২১ সালে বাংলাদেশ সংস্করণ প্রকাশ করেছে পেন্ডুলাম পাবলিশার্স। অল্প কয় পৃষ্ঠার রঙচঙে ছবিতে ভরা বইটির মুদ্রিত মূল্য ১৯৫ টাকা।

এই বইটা একদম বাচ্চাদের জন্য, ৬-১০ বছরের বাচ্চারা পড়ে বেশ মজা পাবে।
আমার অনেক দেরি হয়ে গেছে পড়তে,আসলে ছোটবেলায় তো পাইনি বইটা, তাই এখন পেলাম যখন পড়েই নিলাম। 🤗

আর ছোটদের মন বুঝেই rate দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করলাম।

ছোটবেলায় পড়েছিলাম। ই-বুক দেখে আজ মনে পড়ল। বেশ সুন্দর ছবিওয়ালা বই। :)
