I've read a few books by this author that I have enjoyed and when I read the synopsis for this one it sounded like a book that would be right up my alley. And I ended up really enjoying it. It was a surprisingly sweet book considering the hero was an anti-hero that enjoyed killing people. (lol)
I thought the writing was great. The pace was a little slow going in parts and it is a fairly long book (@ 4 hour's reading time). The plot was engaging though, and I never felt bored or the need to skim. As I mentioned above, this was actually a sweet story romance wise. It was very insta-love. No pushing away. No OW drama. The OM drama was caused by one of the villains. It was a slow burn in the sex department as well. No sexual activity until 50%, and no intercourse until late in the book. <-- I was a bit disappointed in that aspect. I was expecting a little more heat and kink. There was a great cast of secondary characters. I have NO idea if some of them already have books of their own (someone please tell me in Luna has a book already??!!), or if they will have books at some point, but a lot of them really intrigued me.
Both the main characters here likable. Malcolm was a perfect book boyfriend for me. Super sweet and alpha with the heroine, and a badass if you crossed him. All in from the minute he sees the heroine. Not a manwhore (celibate 8 months). I loved him. London was also a great heroine (a virgin...sigh) but at least her virginity made sense in the story's context. She was pretty much all in from the first meeting with Malcolm. Last, it was all wrapped up in two very sweet epilogues. What more can you as for?

This one goes in the “can’t get past the sample” pile or maybe it should be “can’t get past the so-called hero.” Now I can appreciate a well crafted “dark hero” or “anti-hero” but this dude is not it. He made my skin crawl and I’m not talking about his violent business dealings. It was his inner monologue about women and the heroine that left me…
Of course he does, because most women with life experience, independence, and a backbone would see him for the cocky, misogynist, possessive creep that he is.
Now normally I’d be pleased with a hero who divulged his ability to keep it in his pants right off the bat. There’s just too many manwhores in romance, and they’ve gotten as stale as some of the sentiments this dude professes. But Malcolm’s statement also implies that he’s some kind of prize, which he’s so not.
He’s just another tired old sexist creep stuck in an archaic and degrading view of women. Upon learning he’s the heroine’s first dance at the sex club on her first day he’s pleased:

First, we’ll skip over the fact that he sounds more like Christopher Columbus about to embark on another imperialist voyage and not like a dude I’d want to knock boots with. But still honing in on the first sentence, how annoying that he tells the reader he’s an alpha. This is something you show, not tell, if you’re going for that characterization. But also what kind of a douchebag internally monologues that self image. Pretty sure that guys who relish in their own alpha-ness are in actuality probably more of an asshat.
Now on to the second part of his statement. He has this need to own her and “be everything she will ever need.” That to me displays more insecurity than confidence. He has to assert power to get her and keep her. It also implies that a woman is never to have a life outside of her man because he’d feel threatened by any value she’s place on something she achieved on her own.
He writes it off as “animalistic desire” but let’s call a spade a spade. It’s male domination; it’s control; it’s ownership; it’s manipulation; much of which will take emotional abuse to achieve.
So I didn’t stick around to watch what I suspect will be the virgin heroine’s journey from the control of her father and brother to the control of the “hero” she’ll be manipulated to fall in love with. Love isn’t owning another human being, treating a woman as objects or property, and it certainly isn’t romantic. Romance is respect and equality. And the real SIN here is that this type of misogynist jerk is still considered “romantic” in 2019.

I’m not usually one to complain about realistic things in a story. However if a type of character does things out of character, it can throw me off. I think that’s why this one was a good read but not a great read for me.
For being a pretty violent mafia hero, he was a complete marshmallow for the heroine. He immediately claimed her for himself, but left her with her family who were planning horrible things for her. That had me confused. When he did get her out, he moved her in with him but made her wait to take their relationship further. It’s like he claimed her as his but then put the brakes on. She would have happily accepted him from the start. I just thought it odd.
For the heroine, she was pretty contradicting as well. She’s a virgin and yet she got a job at a sex club. That’s how she met the hero. She cowered to her family but was bold as you please with the hero and his family. It just didn’t mesh for me.

This was pretty awful. I’m confused by the five star reviews, but I guess we all like what we like...
After a busy day gutting a guy and removing the tongue from another, Malcolm goes to his favorite sex club where he has his own special room. Even though he hasn’t found a woman “worthy of his cock in over 8 months”, he still likes to watch his girl of the night dance and gyrate on a pole for him while he masturbates. “Twirl” is this evening’s girl, and as soon as he sees her he knows she doesn’t belong here. She’s too beautiful, too innocent, too pure. And that’s it for him, he must have her! Like they don’t even really converse. Of course “Twirl” is secretly working at said club to stash enough money to run away from her abusive stepfather and brother. They think she’s working in a diner.
Little does Twirl know the trouble headed her way, evil stepdad and creepy brother are trying to dethrone Malcom from his illegitimate empire of money laundering and being the king of Chicago. They are also using Twirl and plan to sell her virginity when she turns 21. Poor Twirl. BTW, that’s not her real name, it’s what Malcolm calls her and I can’t remember her real one.
Malcolm is feeling protective of her and decides she will be his, all his. His queen and his “perfect cock-slut”. Whatever dude. Malcolm tried so hard to be cool, he’s like a caricature. Twirl is a moron. Her growth between naive and used little girl, to vengeful angel is quicker than green grass through a goose! There is no development-character or plot. Lines and actions are repeated, often. It’s not instalove, it’s quicker than that. And I can’t even take Malcolm seriously he’s so ridiculous with his perfect cock slut crap. Anyway, this is a hard pass recommendation!

DNF @ 16%.
The H is very into voyeurism which is a big turn off for me. I'm also tired of stories where the h has so many struggles in her life. For example, she is super poor, has a sick relative, in an abusive relationship, etc. The h is this one has to take a job dancing at an exclusive club, treated like garbage by her father, and sexually harassed by her brother.

DNF- the H’s thought process was weird.. the plot was silly— he’s crazy about the fmc but sends her back with her abusive stepfather and stepbrother….the first 10 chapters the steps are referred to as Father and brother… and it’s stated the brother wants the fmc to bear his heir… wtf…it was silly to drag it out like they were biological like it was incest when he was not blood related… the writing was boring. Made it 25%… sad I paid money for this one—

Sin by Elena Reyes was a steamy and intriguing story with just the right blend of suspense and romance. Reyes writes with an intensity that kept me engaged from the very first pages. I absolutely loved the pairing of London and Malcolm; an innocent beauty and a powerful but corrupt businessman. The two of them were on fire together and the journey they took was full of drama, secrets, and sizzling hot romance.
“He’s the kind of man no one survives from. A total destruction of one’s senses; he’s the hurricane I didn’t see coming.”
I loved the raw and gritty feel to the story and the way the relationship between the hero and heroine progressed. London and Malcolm were both likeable characters that had great chemistry between them. I loved how Malcolm was all about London from the first time he saw her, and really enjoyed how he treated her. I especially loved that the author didn't write him as a manwhore or fill the story with tedious drama from other women. His protectiveness was so swoon-worthy. He was violent and ruthless with a firm grip on the corruption in his city, but when it came to his woman, he was absolutely gone for her. London was someone who lived a hard life. Her innocence and vulnerability were what captured Malcolm’s attention at first, but there was a strength beneath the surface that was just waiting to emerge. The two of them made each other better in different ways.
“I will bring the world down to its knees for her if she so much as asks. I will kill to own her.”
The intimacy between them was steamy, especially the scenes at the club. The intimate scenes didn't overwhelm the story and left a lot of room for the emotional and suspenseful elements. As someone who loves dark and edgy romance, I really enjoyed the scenes where Malcolm's violent tendencies came out. The plot flowed really well and the ending gave some good closure. We were introduced to some great supporting characters, and I’m hoping that they will get their own stories as well. I highly recommend this story and look forward to reading more of this author’s work in the future.

Love a man who sees his woman and knows SHE IS HIS❤️Malcom knew immediately he wanted London. He has been celibate about 8 months due to a crazy ex and likes to go to his private room in the club for viewing purposes only, no touching! As soon as London walks in and starts dancing he was taken by her beauty and innocence! He could tell right away she didn’t belong there so he makes sure she is for his viewing pleasure only from then on.
London is living with her awful step dad and step brother(or are they)…she is desperate to get away from them so she finds the club so she can make money to run away! Her mother was killed about 4 years ago and since then this poor girl has been used and treated horribly😔

This is a little bit dark, but Malcolm is hot! Malcom is a bad boy in every sense of the word. Twirl is just right for him and together they are steamy and fun to watch. Through in suspense and drama and we have a great story. So happy for their HEA and hope Javier and Mariah get their own story.

This is a NEW to me author & books! Big Thank you for my ARC to the author!!
Can I also just say how pleasantly surprised I was with this book?! I kind of had a whole different idea and BOOM, it was not. Turned out to be a very sweet story!! Not that I didn't think it was before just that I somehow pictured the hero to be a i don't know, ruthless mean kind!
Malcum is ruthless don't get me wrong but he claims London so fast that it was very sweet and kinda romantic!! There was no drama or BS when it came to this therefore, at times it was a little slow for me but once it picked up, was fantastic! I do have to address the sex scenes, so nothing really happens until about 50% and sadly there is no sex until very later than that. So, needled to say yes the romance is there and I do love that but I love do enjoy the action in that department. the first kiss, the first well you know...but ummm once you do get to it, you will wish you had had more even from the beginning, w o w on the scenes! I also thought the story line was great, smooth transitions and the words flowed! Which is a huge importance to me in a book. The hero like i said very alpha but so so so swoon worthy and sweet. The heroine is innocent, beautiful and smart!! Great combo!

I freaking loved this bad boy. Malcolm was everything I hoped he would be. A total boss to anyone who got in his way, but he was always a King to his Queen.
London held his heart in his hands even when he wasn't fully aware of it.

Malcolm è un mafioso, e questo è assodato, ma è anche un uomo innamorato che brama la sua donna, attento ai bisogni e alle esigenze della sua Twirl che venera come una dea. È consapevole di questa sua debolezza ma non ne fa mistero, anzi, lo grida ai quattro venti in modo da reclamarla agli occhi di tutti.
La tensione erotica è palpabile e si avverte per l’intero romanzo, ma l’autrice è stata bravissima nel “girarci intorno”, descrivendo tantissime scene molto sensuali e facendo crescere le aspettative.

Gaaah what a ride was this book. I loved it so fucking much. From page one till the very last. It was fast paced and packed with action dark romance.
Insta love. Alpha dominant bad guy who is smitten with his girl from the moment he sees her. So protective and possessive of her. I love that in a guy and Malcolm ticked all those boxes.
He is a killer and he will kill anyone for the people he loves and especially for his Twirl. Their love was fast and instant. But oh boy did they go long way since that first night they met.
London is a sweet girl whos life is not easy. She lost her mom and was left alone with her stepdad and stepbrother who are making her life miserable and I hated them so much for all the pain they made her go through. But then one day she meet Malcolm and he makes her life change on 360°. I love how sweet and loving he was with her. And oh boy did I love their first meeting. That scene was so fucking hot. Although the sex part came a bit late at 80% but there were so many building up the angst moments before that. Maybe now is the time to mention that London was a Virgin but she was very eager to learn how to please him. God this book was hot and I will miss them so much.
This was my second book by this author and I absolutely loved it. Page turner.

WOW, this was a wild and crazy amazing read. Malcolm is the epitome of a bad and dangerous man. A cold and brutal killer, that doesn't have restrain to kill, if the person betrayed him. He is a CEO of a "money washing" company and dominated the world around him.
London, or Twirl what Malcolm likes to call her, is a girl from a creepy family, that tries to survive the wrath of her father and brother as good as the circumstances allow.
A couple that is so different that it should never work together, but for reasons that they don't understand themselves, they are a perfect match from the beginning.
This book is full of action, excitement and constant state of fear. A permanent confusion of emotions, between good and evil, between right and wrong, forgiveness and revenge. And not to forget Malcolms dirty mouth 😈🔥
and the very hot parts of this book 😍
I loved every second of it ❤

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Wow just wow I couldn't be proud of this girl, SIN was so much better than I expected, Elena you blew me away doll. I freaken love Malcolm I find him better than mafia. Cause, Malcolm ladies is, too good to be true but he is true. He's a someone you don't want to Piss off, but he goes above and beyond for people he cares about. The sexual tension between London and Malcolm was so damn thick, whenever in there presence together your on pins and needles wondering omg what I'd gonna happen now. I absolutely hate alton won't spoil it for you but hate for him is strong and for others too. Now I can't wait to see what happens with some characters in this story.

I cannot believe I’m saying this but Sin is my first read by this author. I’m shocked. I absolutely loved this so I’ll be reading more from this author in the future.
Malcolm is a ruthless alpha male. He’s wealthy, sexy and I really liked him. He always gets what he wants and in this case he wants London.
This is a brilliant read. I stayed up until the wee hours to finish as I couldn’t put it down. If your looking for a well written gritty and intense read I highly recommend you read this gem.

★★★. I don’t remember why this was 3 stars. I didn’t like the fmc or mmc. She turned into a killer within minutes after getting banged. He was more obsessed with fucking her than being with her. The authors writing is easy.
For my safety readers, safe. He killed his ex girlfriend and she’s completely okay with it. Has a freak out for one minute and then is okay! He gets off on commanding woman to do things and watch. He has a private room at a club that’s for him only. It opens with him going there and meeting the fmc.

It started out really good. Like shock and awe good, if you like your mafia books violent. There was a scene that had me closing my Kindle and walking away because I was disgusted and loving it. I thought, this anti-hero is going to rock my world because of his dominant and violent personality. Unfortunately,, he turned out to be a complete wuss with the heroine. I should have known I would not like it when the hero, Malcolm, nicknamed the heroine, London, 'Twirl'.
This was another story about the heroine staying at home and is being abused and used by her family. She gets a job in a strip club to make money in hopes of leaving them behind. Malcolm see's her and instantly wants her. As it turns out, her family owes him a lot of money, and there you go.
I loved the epilogue but I did not love the characters or the story very much.

Woe betide anyone who tries to cross Oor Malky (couldn’t help myself). Malcolm does not suffer fools gladly. He’s a man with a code; a questionable code, but a code, nonetheless.
Said code is going to be implemented full force with the arrival of one woman in his life...

My first read of Elena Reyes work but definitely won’t be my last.
Malcolm Asher is a self made man. Self made in every sense of the word, right down to how he deals with deceit and disloyalty amongst his employees.
A banking businessman on the surface but a powerful manipulator of dirty money in the depths where every drug running cartel and weapons black marketeers deal.
When an evening in a very exclusive house pulls his focus on on a delicate, sweet young woman, he’s instantly obsessed with claiming her but he’s not prepared for where his new obsession will lead him.
London Foster has not had the easiest life, losing her mother when she was young and being raised by her controlling father and creepy older brother, she’s looking for a way to escape this family and the depravity and shame they constantly subject her too. She’s ready to run but now she’s met a man, a very powerful man who just makes her feel safe.
The depth and gravity the author was able to pull from her characters was incredible and something I seriously enjoyed.
Fabulous chemistry between the characters, with great relationships forged. A thoroughly brilliant story that I could have continued to read for hours more.

Malcolm Asher is a corrupt and ruthless man that on the outside is a successful Businessman but behind closed doors is nothing of the sort. Corruption...Dirty money...Killer...Evil...Handsome...those are just a few words to describe a man like Mr. Asher. Nothing can change a man like him, at least he thought so until he meets a stunning beauty at The Loop, an kinky sex club for the rich named London Foster. She is beauty and innocence that doesn’t fit at a place like the loop but she will do anything to break away from her family. Can Malcolm save her without dragging he into his corrupt world? I could not put this book down! From the very first page it sucked me in and took me on a wild ride or lust,lies, sex, sin and corruption. This is my first book from Elena and I will definitely be checking out her other books. I loved Malcolm and “Twirl!” Told in dual POV

Malcolm Asher was the perfect blend of alpha, ruthless, cold, callous, sweet, charming, devilish and mind blowingly HOT I have ever read!

Twisted, intense and sexy describes this book. I love every page. Malcolm is the King of Chicago he’s ruthless, dark, hot and when he wants anything no questions asked it’s his. London is going through hell but won’t give up to finally be free. I loved so many characters in this book and didn’t want the book to end. Definitely one of my favorite books of the authors. 5/5 Twirl stars
