My sister, Emmy can be impulsive. Like when she spontaneously shows up on my doorstep, heartbroken.

Emmy says she and her husband, Armando had a huge argument and she needs some time alone to figure things out.

Except she’s not alone.

Armando, Emmy’s friends, and even her co-workers have followed her to Harmony Lake. When Armando turns up dead in our cozy, tight-knit town, my sister is the prime suspect.

But there are plenty of people in town who had a reason to want Armando dead. One of them is the killer.

Why did Emmy’s friends and co-workers follow her to Harmony Lake? What secrets are they trying to keep hidden? Who else is in danger?

I don’t care how much evidence points to Emmy, I know my sister isn’t a killer, and I’ll prove it if it’s the last thing I do.

If you like your cozy mysteries with a bit of humour, small town Canadian life, a hint of romance, a close circle of quirky, lovable characters that you wish you knew in real life, dogs and cats, and free knitting patterns, there's something in this series for you.

Clean read: no graphic violence, sex, or strong language.

Just loving this series. Although I had suspicions, I didn't know the killer until the end. Loved it. I could see this series become a movie series, similar to the Aurora Teagarden series.

I loved this book. I really enjoyed the way the evidence all pointed in the same direction, to the one person you knew (or at least hoped) it wasn't. It was cleverly crafted to keep you guessing, with lots of twists and red herrings. I did kind of guess who it might be, that was because I wanted it be anybody but who it was pointing at. A very good mystery but it is the characters that make it so memorable. The close knit family dynamics and relationships that just really work, even if this is the first book that you have read or listened to. Having listened to every book in the series I just love the recurring characters and how well we know them but the author still keeps it fresh and mysterious with new characters to entertain us and grow the family. In my opinion this is a must series, whether it is reading or listening, just sit back and let the fun, humour and intrigue begin, especially as you wait for the next book.
Megan is worried when she wakes up and doesn't see her sister on the tv, as the morning tv host she is always there. Instead Emmy turns up on Megan's doorstep in tears after a big fight with her football star husband claiming her marriage is over. She isn't the only one, her husband Armando, her assistant, her co host and even her husband's manager tracks her down to Harmony Lake for different reasons. Which leaves the suspect pool wide open when Armando is found dead in bed. Megan's fiancee doesn't want to arrest his future sister in law but the more he investigates the more the sudden death looks like murder with Emmy being responsible. Can Meagn find the real killer and unravel the backstabbing, jealously and rivalry that goes with being famous?
I like the narrator. She really brings this series to life and makes you want to keep listening even when the story is over. I guess I will have to listen to it again.

This is such a fun series, and this book doesn't disappoint! It is well written and has a really great storyline. In this story, we get to meet Megan’s sister, Emmy (aka Miranda) who is a co-host on the popular morning show, Hello, today! She surprises Megan by showing up at the store after having an argument with her husband, Armando. Not only does Armando follow her to Harmony Lake but others follow also. Unfortunately, Armando dies and Emmy is a suspect. Her friends and co-workers have secrets they are hiding from her. What is the truth? Join Megan and Eric as they uncover the truth and identify the murderer.

This is a great cozy mystery filled with all the things I love...great characters, great storyline, great family/friendships, and a dash of romance! The murder mystery itself has a cast of suspects, and the author kept me guessing throughout the entire book. I admired Meghan’s independence and intelligence. Absolutely loved this book and look forward to the next book in the series! Highly recommend the whole series!

I received this book as a beta reader for an honest opinion.

What a complicated and twisted storyline with a bunch of pure evil people. It was so hard to discern the truth you had to witness something or dig up the facts. I love that about a story!! I never would’ve guessed the ending. The author has a great imagination and an incredible way of putting a story together because you cannot put this book down! It is so much fun to read Reagan Davis’ books, they are addicting!!

The books in the series are a lot fuller, richer, and deeper than most cozy mysteries. There’s a lot more body to these books. They are very well written. Reagan Davis’s books are really much more in-depth, actually closer to being an actual mystery book/series. All the little side stories as each was revealed and then twisting every single thing made it so interesting and complicated. I love that!!!

This is the ninth installment of the series. I really enjoyed that April’s nicknames where not everywhere. I find them annoying.

In this episode, Megan’s sister Emmy’s runs to Harmony Lake after things don’t go her way. Emmy seems a bit spoiled, self-centered, and needs to grow up and deal with relationships.
I love that Megan is so well grounded. She is a good balance for her sister.

I figured out the end before the reveal and kept thinking why aren’t any of the characters thinking this way. I surmised because they are too close to the situation.

I found the book well-written and the characters were unique. Did I understand why all the people from the BC area followed Emmy to Harmony Lake -yes. Did I buy into it- no.

I find this series entertaining and this book is a standalone. I listened to this book & it enhanced the story.

This book was a quick easy read that immediately hooked me and made me want to keep turning pages to see what would happen next. The characters were a good mix of engaging and annoying which kept the story interesting. The mystery was well plotted with a killer that I didn't see coming at all.

What do you do when your sister, a well known television personality and her husband, a soccer star, is murdered? In this case you open your door and life to all the people they work with, put your business in your employees hands, and help your fiancé find the murderer.

I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.

In the latest Knitorious mystery Megan gets an unexpected visit from her sister and then her brother -in-law who are on the outs. When her brother-in-law is found dead, Megan and her police chief fiancee must find the killer and hope it isn't her sister. I love this series. The characters are wonderfully developed. I feel like they are becoming old friends. The mystery always keeps me guessing while the humorous writing style makes me laugh at just the right times. I recommend Life Crafter Death as well as the whole Knitorious mystery series to all cosy mystery fans.

Is there anything better than getting to review a new book in the Knitorious series?! My is answer is no, especially when you have such a great addition to a great series. In this book we get to meet Megan's sister Emmy and boy are they different. We also get to see behind the scenes of morning TV and all the personalities that work there. The storyline is nice and tight and it flows well. The characters and setting are enjoyable and it's east to recommend this book and series to everyone. I received an ARC of this book and I'm voluntarily providing an honest review.

Megan’s sister Emmy has come to stay with her because she got into an argument with her husband. Shortly after, her husband arrives to try to reconcile with her. The next day, Megan and Emmy discover his dead body. I always love the characters in this series! This mystery brings a whole set of interesting characters to the mix as people who know Emmy and her husband begin to show up. This was a fun cozy mystery full of humor. I enjoyed the adventures as Megan, along with her family and friends, solve the mystery. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was really good.

Well crafted

This is a series for everyone who appreciates a well-crafted cozy mystery. Megan and her friends continue to charm, and the brief interactions with her extended family give her added dimension. The mystery is suitably perplexing, if a bit improbable, and the bit of humor is appreciated. I look forward to a return to Harmony Lake.

Once again Reagan Davis wrote a great cozy mystery. This series gets better every time. Meg had a hard time figuring out whodunit. The plot has many twists and turns and keeps you guessing until the end. And what a surprise it is at the end. I can't wait for the next one.

Another fun, well crafted mystery involving the ever growing cast of characters that form Megan's extended family. I loved the wrong assumptions that were made when Eric did some shopping for Emmy. Connie was back, but now it was April and her wife who were out of town. Fortunately, there were still plenty of phone calls. I hope everybody is back in the next book. With such a large cast of characters, I suppose it's hard to give everybody an appearance.

I really appreciate how well structured each of the books in this series are written. I also enjoy how the author carefully introduces new town members in to each new story.

Wow, these books in the series keep getting better & better, I need a higher number than 5 for rating! A shocker ending, I didn't see that coming. I loved the storyline, can't wait to read the next one after the teaser. I'm reading through these so fast but I know I'll be disappointed when I reach the last one, I don't want them to end...

Book series have a habit of falling into a routine with each following book, and while each of the Knitorious Murder books all have sudden deaths in them, this installment shows that Reagan Davis has a way of keeping her readers from predicting the end before they make it to the last chapter! The plot twist in this book was fantastically fresh. You might find yourself knitting too tightly as you read on, but be careful that you don't drop any stitches! Excited to read the next one!

Once again Reagan Davis has delivered a well-written book with lots of suspects. The behind the scene look at parts of the television industry shows how competitive it can be. I liked meeting Megan's sister Emmy. Eric gets better every book. I recommend this to anyone who likes cozy mysteries.

The amount of twists and turns in the story are excellent. The relationships between the characters is excellent. Just when you think you know who, another clue is solved and it’s onto another suspect.

Another good visit with Megan and crew. This time we get to meet her sister, Emmy, who is going through some personal turmoil.

While I really enjoyed this one, it just seemed like an opportunity was lost to really explore how Eric and Adam's jobs could put them at odds, and add Megan into that. It was briefly touched on with Eric and Megan. I just think it would've brought more depth and fleshed out the characters more. Looking forward to the next one though.

Such a fun and exciting series with great mysteries, great characters and the sweetest little town (although it does have a rather inflated murder rate!). Love the author’s writing and phrasing.

We've finally gotten to meet Megan's sister and she made it memorable. Love seeing another family dynamic. And the mystery was good. But the attraction to this one was definitely Lake Harmony's growing family.

Fast and funny read

I would not recommend reading this book until you read the previous books. This book introduces a new character on top of the other characters in her previous books. All of the past books in this series are fun to read. 😉

I notorious book 9

Love this series! As with the last 8 books this mystery has all the makings of a great whodunit. As you follow along with this story you really never know who the murderer is.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The humor in it, mostly the result of busy body neighbors, was cute and connected, too. Poor, Eric. In any case, as with the rest of the series, this addition is complex and full of twists and turns, not to mention multiple suspects. Main character Megan is quite likeable and I admire the friendly relationship she and her former husband, Adam, have forged for the benefit of their daughter Hannah. Adam's a lawyer, too, which comes in handy in this story.

I won't detail the plot aside from that one comment as I'm sure others will do a better summation than I could. Instead, I'll simply say that the story, while perhaps confusing to first time readers given the comings and going of characters and their back stories, moves right along. Megan has come to respect boyfriend Eric's need for evidence, not hunches, frustrating as it might be, not to mention the conflict he's facing being pulled in two different direction as he investigates a case that is essentially connected to a family member. Okay, almost family member.

So, mystery that keeps you guessing, abundant characters that we do learn quite a bit about, even the seemingly peripheral ones, some humor, and family ties. Give it a read. You won't regret it.
