Life in Color

Janine Infante Bosco Satans Knights MC NC bk 02 Love Is Blind

Reed "Ghost" McCall may be morose on many occasions, but he cracks me up with his brand of don't give a 💩. I swear his spirit animal is Eyeore on steroids.

I’m not looking to sew his wounds and I’m not in the market for someone to sew mine. But maybe we can both forget those wounds exist for a little while. There’s no harm in that.
-- Birdie

Birdie Callahan experiences life a little differently than most. I like how she doesn't let her disability hold her back from experiences. She does need to work on her pickup lines and jokes, though. LOL!

I love how protective Ghost gets. He's well intended, even if missing the mark a little on occasion. He's like a dog exposing his belly to her while the rest of the world gets teeth and snarls. It's kinda funny.

I really enjoyed this but wish there was more to it. It all seemed to pass by too quickly.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. This is produced in DUET narration! (The best kind if you ask me.) The narrators are Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson, and they make listening to this book VERY easy.

She has painted his world in color!
From the storyline to the characters, Love is Blind is going to steal your heart, so hold on because this story is an emotional, gritty ride with a touch of danger but a whole lot of healing and topped with love.
Ghost may be a big, bad biker but he also a grieving man burdened by unthinkable pain and trying to drown out his sorrow until Birdie showed up in his life. Through her sassy personality and her strength she has given him peace and shown him that life is worth living in color and she has all done this while living her life in the dark.

“A biker and a blind chick walk into a bar...”

Ghost is a haunted man. He is forever changed by loss and exists but never cares to live. His club is his life, it’s all he cares about anymore. That is until he sees a woman at a bar.

Birdie is running away and starting new with her cousin Emmy. She is going to enjoy her life, being blind is not going to get in the way of that. Meeting a rough around the edges man at the bar her cousin works at, is convenient.

As Ghost and Birdie begin a physical relationship, they discover they both fully need one another. They also both see each other in way many others don’t. Ghost learns that there could still be life left to live. Birdie learns to trust someone else and learns that, “Life is meant to be lived in color.”

This is book two in Satan Knights:North Carolina chapter. Birdie and Ghost’s story is not an easy one. I thoroughly enjoyed ever bit of this book. I laughed, I cried a bunch and found myself rooting for these characters. Ghosts struggles were so hard to watch and he just broke my heart at times. I cruised through the pages of this story in no time and now anxiously wait to see what is coming next from my favorite biker crew.

Love Is Blind is book 2 in The Satan's Knights of MC North Carolina. Unfortunately, while I loved book 1 and plan to reread it, I didn't enjoy this book and have no plans to read any more books in this series. I didn't like Ghost or Birdie and I didn't feel the connection, even the sex was boring to me.

🎧🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎧🎧

Janine Infante Bosco knows how to get gritty with it and I am here for it! The stories that she manages to write in a couple hundred pages always blow my mind because they unfold so well and grow not just the main characters as a couple but also as individuals and she manages to move the MC club arc-storyline forward as well! She doesn’t write simple characters either. Nooooooo, these carry a serious pasts on their backs and more often than not, she also manages to tack on a limitation here and there that make her characters relatable, and she represents respectfully. If you enjoy reading mc romances and you are not reading Janine’s stories, you’re missing out BIG!

Ghost & Birdie were perfect for each other. They brought, to each other, the light they both needed to deconstruct the tragedies they have both endured to build a future for themselves where they don’t live in the dark (no pun intended) but rather outside in the light of day. Their story is heartbreaking but also uplifting, it is gritty and raw and full of pain but oh, so much hope!

This wasn’t an easy story for me. I knew the past that Ghost was carrying from reading, actually listening to Forsaking All Others, but just because I already knew doesn’t mean it didn’t hit me hard. I’ve lived thru Ghost’s trauma, and it wasn’t long ago. The pain is insurmountable, and it hits you when you least expect it. The tragedy lives inside of you, but it can be managed. When I say Janine represented respectfully I did so because I know. Do with that information what you will.

🎤 Narrators Sarah Puckett & Michael Norman Johnson continue to make my ears happy with their narration. The intensity of the story was levelled up because of their fantastic voices!

Sidenote: You need to start at the beginning of almost all mc romance series and this one is not the exception.

Also, thank you Janine for providing a copy of this audiobook for review :)

Love is Blind is book two of The Satan's Knights MC series, North Carolina Chapter. You can read this as a complete standalone, but it wouldn't hurt to start with book one to have a better understanding of the MC and supporting characters. This book follows Ghost and Birdie's journey.

Birdie is bold, sassy, full of life. She harbors secrets and has some self esteem issues due to her disability, but she never lets that dim her spirits. She is a beacon of light to Ghosts' darkness. Ghost is broken, ruthless, and full of anger. For him, revenge is more then sweet. He's suffering mentally and emotionally so he self medicates to cope.

These two have a lot in common, they both have had to endure some type of tragedy and they both have gone down a self destructive path. Their story is raw, angsty, and their personal history is heart breaking, but together they dull each other's pain and heal some of that heartache. Their chemistry was strong and they forged an unlikely bond rather quickly.

I found the story to be entertaining, easy to read, and unpredictable. I appreciated that author didn't drag anything out or over dramatize the drama that did occur. I def need to go read book one and I'm left wanting to know more about the other characters. There were a lot of little hints on who could be getting a story next.

Fantastic!!

This is a book that captured my heart and left me taking everything in that the author threw at me. Superbly written so that I could feel the sorrow and despair written coming off the pages. It is a book about overcoming what seems like the impossible. This is an MC read at its finest.

Brilliantly told original story. Janine always manages to input so much emotion in her books you feel as though you are living it. Since starting reading this author's work I have grown to love it, any teething problems with earlier works have been addressed and her stories truly shine. Characters are so real you can't help but love them and in amongst the tension there is always an element of humour. I can't wait to read more of her work.

Dark pain surrounds Ghost. Life as a Satan’s Knight is his only drive. His brothers band around him at his darkest hour. No light gets in. Not since that fateful day. Birdie’s world is dark too but for a different reason. She’s trying to run from her past when she shows up at her cousins in NC.
Neither looking for the other they just want to forget the pain. Janine’s Love is Blind tells a tale of brotherhood forged in blood by men who live for the reaper on their backs. This isn’t a story without pain. It’s one that grasps your attention, brings you on a ride to retribution and brings together two people who both need to see the world in more than black and white.

The Satan’s Knights MC NC chapter takes you to church to school you on how to save their brother’s life and save his future. Strong characters who learn to be gentle is Ms Bosco’s MO for her MC series. Each player has a story. Each isn’t the guy who lives next door, but they take care of their own in the only way that Janine truly writes her characters.

Bravo Janine for getting us to dig deep, yet again,

I really enjoyed this. This is my first book by this author but I'll be sure to pick up more. It was touching how Ghost and Birdie each softened each other and their personal griefs. I loved the two of them for each other.

With each new book release Ms. Bosco continues to impress me with her steamy tales full of action and suspense, tales based within a brotherhood of unforgettable bikers with hidden hearts of gold. As a disabled person I was especially drawn to this newly-released story and its depiction of blindness, a depiction that is realistically portrayed and made the heroine easy to relate to. When mutual grief brings these two broken people together, they’ll find their one night stand not near enough in a tale full of action, danger, and decisions about their future that puts readers through the wringer.

After the previous book in this series brought readers into biker Ghost’s world, I knew it would be a dark journey for him from that moment on. And boy, has life been tough for Ghost after the tragic loss he experienced. Ever since that moment he’s been running from the truth, using drugs and alcohol to keep him numb to the truth. He’s a man who’s done some bad things, a man with blood on his hands done for the greater good. He doesn’t think himself worthy of anything good, worthy of love, but the moment he meets an eclectic young woman is the moment he sees himself and his future in a different light. Birdie’s an unforgettable heroine, a young woman who became blind at an early age and who has lived life full-speed ahead ever since. She’s bold and sassy, but her brashness hides her poor self-esteem that has gotten her caught up in a dangerous situation that only Ghost will be able to help her escape from.

The connection between these two is off the charts scorching, as seen by their first kiss and first night together. There’s a blend of naughtiness as well as sweetness between them to make their burgeoning relationship oh so satisfying. Their scenes in and out of the bedroom pulled me in wholeheartedly while pushing every one of my emotional buttons as Ghost finally dealt with his grief head on while Birdie had to deal with the mess her ex left at her doorstep. With each turn of the page it’s clear these are two bruised souls, souls with rough edges that fit perfect together. Their pairing brought a blush to my cheeks while keeping me on the edge of my seat in a journey that kept my heart pounding. I was also left cheering and laughing at Birdie’s snarky and erotically-charged comments that really made her stand out from Ms. Bosco’s other heroines. All in all this was a satisfying read with just the right amount of action and suspense, beautifully balanced with a romance that burned up the pages while pulling at the heartstrings. The other characters inhabiting this story, some who readers have seen before and some who are new, made this world even richer and more engaging. This is an unforgettable story, one that has left me looking forward to what comes next while fondly remembering all that came before with this one.

Amazing Story & Narration🎧Riveting & Emotional!

Love Is Blind
The Satan's Knights MC North Carolina, Book 2
By: Janine Infante Bosco
Narrated by: Michael Norman Johnson, Sarah Puckett

I am loving this series and the MC world Janine Infante Bosco created, and as much as I would like to say the series is getting better and better that would not be fair to say since the first book, “Forsaking All Others” was just as amazing as this one. This book is Ghost, the club’s vice president & Birdie’s story and not only is their story an interesting one, but so are their back stories, which we learn as the two get to know each other. Ghost is struggling with loss, a loss that is difficult to move on from, but then she enters his life and brings him out of his darkness. Birdie is on the run from her own jaded past and came to stay with her cousin Emmy, who is a bartender where Birdie goes on her first night in town. Ghost is sitting at the bar drowning his sorrow when she catches his attention, and it turns out to be one of the best first meet scenes. The two hit it off and spend the night together, and it was a steamy night. His past comes back to haunt him in the morning and that put a damper on things, and he almost blows it with Birdie, but she gets him and as hard as it was to put her trust in another person, she did. Birdie has her own secrets and dark past, and Ghost is determined to find out what it was and get who hurt her. I loved how everything played out in this book, and like the first book, the writing, plot, and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The story captivated my attention from start to end and has the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. It was great to see the characters from the earlier books and I am looking forward to what comes next for the Satan’s Knights MC North Carolina. Janine Infante Bosco, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Michael Norman Johnson and Sarah Puckett continue to do an amazing job of bringing these characters to life and do so with a complete understanding of who they are portraying. I love how they take each role and make it their own sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Johnson absolutely nails it as Ghost, alpha-tude and all, and Puckett aces it as Birdie, wit and all, each showcasing their character’s personality and demeanor perfectly. Their pacing is spot on and they set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling each one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevates this already fabulous story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Ghost is a broken man. He lost something very precious to him and hasn’t found a way to move on, so he uses drugs, sex, and alcohol to numb the pain. Well, he did, until his position in the Satan’s Knights MC became the Vice President. Now he has to be careful with how much he numbs the pain because he has to be alert and in control. He takes his loyalty to the Satan’s Knights MC and his brothers very seriously.

Birdie is broken woman. A genetic disease has taken a very important part of her and she’s still bitter from that, add the fact that her last relationship blew up in her face. Now she’s trying to hide from danger and lay below the radar so that she can survive. That doesn’t mean that she can’t have some fun or at least drown her sorrows and bitterness with booze. That’s where she met a man that turned her world upside down in short time. She may have some bitterness and anger for what she’s had to endure, but she still has her sense of humor and style.

I loved this book. I am a huge fan of the Satan’s Knights MC and of course Janine Infante Bosco’s books. Ghost’s story was not a disappointment. These two were two broken people that found a way to be whole and find peace. Ghost is a dangerous man, but he has a heart so big that filling it takes a special lady. He found that lady in the craziest way. She just started blurting things out sitting at there, he had no idea who she was or what she was doing, but he wasn’t going to interact with her. He didn’t need a woman tonight. She wormed her way under his skin and further by the time she was done. I love the first paragraph of the book. It was a look into who Ghost is and how he lives his life. Loyalty. I love the characters and the way that the President’s Old lady, Holly is the only person that can get away with showing Ghost what’s in front of his face. She’s a special lady in his life as well as the MC’s queen. I give this story a 5-star review and I am so looking forward to more of the Satan’s Knights MC, North Carolina Chapter. I would love more of the New York MC too. Just saying. I am Property of Parish all the way!

“Love Is Blind” is book 2 of the Satan's Knights MC series, North Carolina Chapter, by Janine Infante Bosco. I have not read book 1 (although I just ordered it now) so I can definitely assure you that this can be thoroughly enjoyed as a complete stand-alone.

Ghost is the VP of the Satan's Knights. In the aftermath of unspeakable tragedy, his club family is all that has kept him alive, even though he’s not sure that’s what he really wants. Birdie suffered her own terrible tragedy of losing her sight when she was just 14 years old, and the darkness of that will never end. Now trying desperately to evade a life-threatening danger that she can’t see but knows is there, she drowns her sorrows in liquor and occasional meaningless encounters with men. When she and Ghost meet, the attraction between them is hot and instantaneous, but neither of them really understands just how much their lives are about to change as a result. Ghost is a broken-hearted and guilt-ridden man who wants nothing more than to be left alone, but he’s such a good person that he can’t not do everything possible to help Birdie. She can no longer see the world with her eyes, but she sees it with her heart. Birdie recognizes the goodness in Ghost that many people fail to see because they don’t get beyond his physical appearance as a big, intimidating biker. The book is so well-written that I could actually feel Ghost’s despair about the death that will forever haunt him and Birdie’s despair about knowing she will never see the face of the man she loves.

This is a powerful story about the redemptive power of love, compassion and forgiveness. It’s also about friendship, and how family isn’t defined by blood alone. Human emotion can make us feel weak, but it actually strengthens character. Darkness in the soul has nothing to do with eyesight and everything to do with the heart. Be advised that you’ll probably discover tears in your eyes more than once while reading this book, but it’s all worth it. This book was truly memorable, and I can’t wait to read what the author gives us next.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

Welcome back to the Satan's Knight North MC North Carolina. I would recommend reading these books in order as the characters from pervious books show up in this book and the ones that will follow. After all they are a family and while the books focus on one particular couple the side characters will stay the same or some might be added. This is the story of Ghost and Birdie. We know that Ghost's world went dark when Mavericks daughter was lost. Now we get more of his story and I have to say that it just tore my heart out at times. You are also reading this from his point of view too and I just had to stop and breath at times. Not that that is a bad thing. It just means I am really invested in these characters. I loved Ghost so much and I really really loved his relationship with Leftie. These two are just emotional magic. Birdie too is in a dark world as she was a teen when she lost her sight. Her world is literally dark. However she is running from more than just the dark. From the moment these two meet they have some amazing chemistry and I loved their story so much I am still thinking about it today. This is a book that you do not want to miss and when Birdie and Ghost steal your heart you're not going to get it back. That is the magic that is Janine Infante Bosco.

Ghost takes his job very seriously. Personally, he’s hiding a lot of pain. Birdie seems to include the reader in her part of the story. At times, she will talk right at you. She doesn’t seem to want pity even though it may sound like she feels sorry for herself.

What I liked first about this story is that the author isn’t above making characters that are far from perfect. Some can be seen but there’s also what they try to keep hidden. The author also did a good job at showing the pain that Ghost was having to deal with but she didn’t let it overtake the story.

It’s ok if you haven’t read the first book because you can still enjoy this latest in the Satan’s Knights MC series without feeling lost. At least for me, I found it addicting that I want more of what this group has to offer. It did’t turn dark so it was very easy to read and hard to put down. The author even had a way of adding in some material that will give you a chuckle or two along the way. If you like to do a little research about a series, and are willing to check out an author’s website, you’ll find out the title and release date of the next book in the series. You’ll also find out about another chapter in this series and may have more books that need to be added to your TBR list. The saddest part of this book was the ending came along quicker than I though it would.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Love Is Blind
The Satan's Knights MC North Carolina, Book 2
By: Janine Infante Bosco
Narrated by: Michael Norman Johnson, Sarah Puckett

What a great series this is! I am really enjoying it! This is featuring a broken Ghost and his budding relationship with Birdie. Meant to only be a one night stand, he is taken with this woman. Birdie is running, but from who? As these two deal with Ghost's past, his loss and need to heal and move on, he also is looking at Birdie, knowing she is his. But what he finds out is surprising, and now he needs to keep her safe. Building suspense. spicy love scenes and an emotionally driven couple bring out all the feels in this fantastic listen. Adding in the crossover characters of the first book, it's bringing in that family feel that an MC is all about. There is something special with this series, and it has me wanting the next one as soon as possible!

Michael Norman Johnson and Sarah Puckett deliver a fabulous duet narration! Johnson is that alpha protective male, but he also has a lot of emotion as Ghost deals with his past. Birdie is a fantastic character, dealing with a disability, wanting independence and falling in love, she is portrayed perfectly with Sarah Puckett's amazing voices. This is a fabulous pairing and wonderful listen.

Love Is Blind is the 2nd book in the Satan Knight's MC North Carolina series and I loved it. After reading book one, I was excited to hear we were getting Ghost story and I was not disappointed, as Ghost and Birdie's story had me hooked from beginning to end. Their story was angsty and heartbreaking yet sweet and humorous and will take you through various emotions. I really loved them together, both coping with different issues from their past yet they were able to bring light and color to each other's world.
From the moment they met, these two had an instant connection and sizzling chemistry. Their steamy scenes were passionate and intense and will melt your kindle however it was the way Ghost treats Birdie that will leave you swooning. This story was well written and fast paced and the appearance of some familiar faces from the Satan Knights world made the story so much more appealing. Personally I felt the ending was a bit rushed but that's just me simply because I wasn't ready to leave this world. Love Is Blind was a fantastic read and an excellent addition to this series. I loved it and would highly recommend it to lovers of MC romance.

Love is Blind is the second book in the Satan's Knights MC North Carolina. This book focuses on Ghost and Birdie. While the story does pick up where the first story, Forsaking all Others leaves off, it is a book that can be read as a stand alone.

Ghost lives for his motorcycle. He has handled more in his past than most people and often tries to do whatever he can to push down the past. Birdie is a sprite. She too has had a hard life with lots of loss and is presently in the midst of a sticky situation that she is not quite sure how to get out of. Ghost lives his life in black and white figuratively. Birdie lives her life in black and white literally. Together, their life becomes full of color. Before they can live their life full of color, Ghost has to take care of a couple of things to help Birdie in order to keep her safe.

Love is Blind by Janine Infante Bosco is an interesting read. I enjoyed the characters and the plot line. I am looking forward to more books in the series.

I'm so glad that I discovered Janine Infante Bosco because there's no doubt that we the readers are so very blessed to get books by her. (Yeah I'm a total fangirl and not even sorry.) Love Is Blind was a remarkable & brilliant book as our heroine, Birdie, is truly something else, and she's even blind but doesn't let that hold her back. She's very sassy, hilarious, and strong so I fell for her from the jump. Ghost is broken with his past demons, but there's something about Birdie that he couldn't stay away from. She's the calm to his pain, the light to his dark despite the fact that they've both gone through bad things in life, so she's perfect for him. However, Birdie has some secrets that are pretty dangerous but she's not coming off them quickly making for twists to come in hot. I LOVED this story HARD, and didn't want it to end because I'm 100% addicted to this author, and can't even imagine not having her books in my life! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

“Every hole is just an opening in a surface and all surfaces are filled with matter. You pump that matter with enough joy and love, the surface will start to expand, and the hole will get smaller.”
This is the second book in The Satan’s Knights MC North Carolina series and it brings readers Ghost and Birdie’s story. There are some life events that throw people for a loop and that is what Ghost was experiencing until Birdie entered his life. However, Birdie is not without her own challenges. The powerful connection that draws these two together from the beginning is just the tip of the iceberg, “a kiss can be a lot of things, but this one is like a love letter. One that’s written in flesh by his mouth and never to be forgotten.” As the relationship progresses between Ghost and Birdie, the emotions are running rampant as readers will feel everything that these two are going through. I highly recommend this book and the others in the series.

Paint the dark world with color!
What an amazing book. What an amazing story of two very broken souls that are barely holding on.
One soul, grieving and struggling not to end it all. The other soul, suffered such a tremendous loss, and now is running away from a grave threat.
Here's a story about a blind girl and a biker!
There aren't enough word to describe how absolutely amazing this book is. I laughed, I smirked, I cried A LOT, and I cheered! It was a long and heartbreaking journey for Ghost and watching him make this journey broke my heart, but then put it together in the most perfect way.
Both Ghost and Birdie have shattered edges that fit perfectly together. You MUST read the first book, I mean seriously you will thank me for it, but this book flows so well and if you've not read the first one you're going to be missing out!
I love this new chapter of the Satan's Knights. I can not wait for the next book!
As always, Janine Infante Bosco knocked it out of the park!

This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Ghost and Birdie’s story. Ghost is the VP whose life is spiralling out of control which has him merely existing and not living. Birdie is blind, and what a hoot she is, and when she meets Ghost in a bar, he is instantly intrigued by her, and the chemistry between them is combustible and undeniable. These two are both broken souls with heartbreaking pasts, and together they start to heal, and are perfect and complement each other. This is a beautifully written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster, and is a raw, gritty, heartbreaking tale, with secrets, chaos, drama, loyalty, witty banter, action packed, and is a humorous, entertaining, and steamy all-consuming read. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all.

Outstanding read. It’s heartfelt, heartbreaking, action packed and romantic all rolled up in an amazing storyline. This is Ghost and Birdie’s story and what a story it is. Two lost soles with presumably nothing to live for. Ghost is still reeling from the loss of his infant daughter and Birdie from her disaster of a life. Blind since she was 14, she has harder herself yet nothing could have prepared her for the dangers her ex has put her in. Not knowing where to run, she shows up at her cousin's place. A cousin that happens to be a bartender at an establishment run by the Satan’s Knights. It’s there she meets Ghost.

Nothing prepared me for what I was about to read, I grabbed it up because I love the author and book 1 of this series. I am so glad I took the leap and you will be too. I can’t recommend it enough.

2 Thumbs Up and 5+ Stars

I’m thoroughly enjoying this series and knew after reading Maverick and Hollys book that losing his daughter turned Ghosts world into darkness.
Reading how his world was shattered from his own point of view was always going to be heartbreaking but some of the most heartbreaking moments for me came from Leftie, he really is a true father figure to Ghost.
Birdies world was turned to dark as a teen when she lost her sight.
She was running from more than just the dark though when she turned up at her cousins door and followed the rough biker who awakened her senses into the bar toilets.

A great read I really liked both Ghost and Birdie and the chemistry between them was sizzling hot but I felt the end dealing with Ralphie was glossed over quite quickly hence the 4 stars.

Love is Blind is an emotional story that at times is heart wrenching and will have your eyes filled with tears. Ghost is a man whose life is filled with darkness but like a bad told joke it will take a blind woman in a bar to finally give his life colour. Birdie feels his pain soul deep and wants to take it away if it is the last thing she does. Two people who live their lives in different types of darkness find a connection and a chemistry that sends sparks so bright it will be like a huge fireworks show. Their story is intense, passionate and gritty and it will draw your heart deep into the pages and hold it tight. Ghost and Birdie’s story will at times steal your breath as these two take you on an inspirational ride to finding peace and happiness.
