A tempestuous fling on a tropical island with a secretive movie star or love that will last a lifetime?

Ren is a jaguar shifter whose inner cat is very close to the surface. All the human world knows is he’s got stunning green eyes and a killer physique. The man can also portray just about any part put before him and he’s turned his killer instinct into an international career as an actor in big budget blockbusters. When his Alpha asks him to take on a project in order to raise the profile of a new director he agrees, but only because he’d do just about anything for his Alpha and his people.

Katrina gave up on acting after a few years of trying her best and went back to work at her family’s restaurant. When the director sees her there and asks her to come in for a screen test, she doesn’t want to believe she might finally be getting her big break. Cast opposite one of the brightest stars in the world, Katrina can hardly believe her luck. The film may be low budget, but it has star power and Ren is both kind to her and every bit as gorgeous in person. More so, in fact.

When danger threatens, Ren is the first to act, and when he declares his serious interest in her, she almost can’t believe it. Only…she’s feeling it, too. An undeniable attraction that goes more than skin deep. Does she dare trust this man who could have anyone? Dare she believe him when he says he’s given her his heart for all time? How far must he go to prove his love is real?

Cute but skippable... maybe introduced new leads for other series but no real addition to the Destroyer plot arc.

Good Joining

Every book series needs what I call a joining. This means a meeting of multiple of series and joining them together that are under a single story line and this is such a book. It was a wonderful read unto itself but is a great story that enables her were's to continue indefinitely

Good book

I did like the story about Ren & Kat. I did have a had time with the book though. It was slow and I had a had time getting into it. I did keep reading this book because I want to see where this relationship was going. I liked it when the meet and he couldn’t figure out what it was about the human woman.

Jaguars, movie stars, shifters, oh my!

What a romp. A Jaguar movie star who is a bit slow understanding what his shifter side is trying to tell him. A fey director who knows more than she lets on.
Bianca has another winner on her hands. Could not put it down.

Loveitloveitloveitloveit....LOVE it

I love all of Bianca’s books but I especially love the Jaguar Island series. I guess it’s because I love cats and would love a big cat that wouldn’t eat me! :-D

Great addition to the Jaguar series.

Loved it!

I enjoyed going back to the Tales of the Were world. It's always cool to see all of the connections and find out what's currently happening. This story has a lot wonder on her part and the curiosity of the cat on his.

4.25 stars. Very sweet but missed a lot of the action I've come to love in previous stories. Really looking forward to more Jaguars though for sure. Few hints at possible future matches looks like possible fun to be had

I love this world that Bianca created. It's part of a series of Tales of the Were world. She has many smaller series in the same world.

Spotted star finds his nate6

This book can be read, and enjoyed, as a stand alone but a knowledge of the Tales of the Were world gives a much deeper sense of the characters. Ren is a jaguar and A list actor who is helping Sonia get established as s director. She looks like a petite woman, but has-been around. Fighting for the Light, for a long time. Kat is a human who acted when younger, but was picked out by Sonia to be the female lead after seeing her work at her parents' restaurant. There are fewer battle scenes in this book, but a steady progression in their relationship is lovely to watch. I also enjoyed the behind the scenes set in the acting world.. Not as intense as some of the other books by Bianca D'Arc, but well worth reading. I can't wait to see where she takes us next!
