Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..We are back in Palekaiko Beach Hotel and I hope you started from the beginning to get a better feel for it, I thankfully did and I still enjoyed it as I did when I began this series. I really liked Joely and felt for her she had such a difficult life always on the run, thankfuly she ends up with some great friends who are also her family and they stuck to her as we do for our family so happy she was able to find that. The best part of starting new was her love interest in Holt who was just what she needed and even though he had secrets he was loved. Grab a copy and read my friends and as always Enjoy!

This is the first book that I've read by Jamie Schimdt but it will not be the last. This story is terrific! It is the third book in the series but it can definitely be read as a standalone [although I will be reading the first two and any subsequent now]. With Joely as the heroine and Holt as the hero where can you go wrong? She's a feisty young woman with a troubled past including a dangerous ex. Holt, meanwhile, has an uncle who is involved in very shady dealings to say the least. When Joely is threatened by her ex Holt is going to do everything he can to keep this woman that he considers his to be safe even if it means asking his uncle for help. Her kisses have him addicted and he is hers even if she didn't ask for him. There is plenty of lust and tension in this fabulous storyline and I thoroughly encourage you to read this book. Great and fun addition to this series.

I loved Joely and Holt. She was in an awful situation and he was just the guy to help her through it.

I really felt for Joely, I mean, living that kind of life, always running? That’s no life at all. I wanted to strangle that guy so much. And I loved her new friends that became her family, they were all protective of her as well. That was exactly what she needed.

Holt was a tough cookie to crack, lol. He held so many secrets, but I could see how life made him that way, reserved and suspicious of pretty much everybody.

I loved these two. There was ups and downs, drama, hot times… just a little bit for everyone. :-)

I received this book as part of an ARC review. It is a nice mix of romance and intrigue. Both Joely and Holt have criminals in their families who want them to join. However, they are determined to stay on the straight and narrow. While they might skate close to the edge to protect themselves and the one they have fallen for, they stay true to their goals. Joely and Holt have been attracted to each other for some time and close proximity allows them to act on their feelings. I would recommend this book.

Great book with fun, interesting characters who make you smile and grin at their antics. There was drama, suspense, intrigue and love. The supporting characters were just as interesting as the two main characters whose chemistry was immediately apparent when you start reading the book. I did find Holt a bit stiff and thought he might have been even more interesting and hot if he had a more dominant aspect to his character. Joely was great as she was written. I thought her sister would be a bit more enticing given the limited information we got about her. Maybe in the next book.

This is a fab romantic read that once started will hold you captive! Well written this is entertaining and intriguing with great characters and an exciting storyline! An enjoyable and suspenseful story with something for any romance fan!

Audiobook review

Narrator: Lola Grey. 2 stars

Her male voices make all the male characters sound dense and/or stoned. Due to this I could not get invested in the story.

Very interesting plot and well developed characters that will take you on an adventure you don't want to miss. Thoroughly enjoyed Joely and Holt's story and think you will too. Lots of intrigue and romance will take you on an emotional ride with this one.
