This one was a curiosity inducing, what the heck happened kinda quick read.
Juliette has been trained to be the perfect wife to a mysterious man she's promised to.
She has been trained in etiquettes and various other things to be the perfect wife that she can be. But she has no idea who this mysterious man is for whom she has been preparing her entire life.
She comes from an extremely wealthy background and such unions are meant to strengthen their families alliances with other powerful families.
Everything is routine for Juliette until one day she gets a set of instructions meant to be from her future husband. Those instructions are that she will be trained and is expected to obey without a fault.
I was so confused yet curious just like Juliette as to what this meant and didn't understand much of it. Also initially I didn't understand much about the why and the what part of her training. But I was so intrigued as to who this master person was. What were his intentions.
So many questions, not to mention about who was this mysterious man who controlled Juliette from afar. But now this master was the one Juliette seemed to be obeying.
I'm hanging onto this ride so tighly and excitedly to find out what would happen next. Loved loved this one. 💖💖💖💖💖

This was beautifully written kink and the ending had me hooked! I loved how her relationship with Master evolved. He is the epitome of dominant and commanding and the perfect teacher for her lessons in submission. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for some well written BDSM.

This is a series of 10 short books I'm excited to see what the others have to offer.
Here we meet Juliette, she's the snobby, big headed princess of a well known family. She's pretty much had everything handed to her on her a plate whatever Daddy wants her to excel in or do she does and is good at whatever she does also. So when it comes to finding the perfect husband for her, her Daddy has also chosen him too!! Juliette has never met this guy who has been chosen for her, she doesn't even know his name! But to complete her tasks to become the perfect wife for him her husband demands she is sent to a Master to be taught, she's thinking why back at a school what now? But these will be no everyday lessons, these are erotic lessons.
So when we meet said Master we know nothing about him, but Juliette is sent on a whirlwind effort just to make her husband happy, even though I didn't like Juliette at the beginning, you really feel for her to be honest, she's grown up sheltered, been told what to do pretty much all her life by her Daddy, and now is told what to do by a man she's never even met and this Master. Each book is going to be a lesson for Juliette and I can't wait to see what the others bring. Really good short burst of a story, Raven Jayne really tells the story well, and I honestly cannot wait for more.

Irritatingly short, but very good, however it felt wrong that her father was involved in/aware of this "arrangement". Parents should not be discussed in such books and should not be privy to details regarding their kids' sex lives, in my opinion. Thankfully, that detail wasn't really pointed out too often, but it definitely made me deduct a star.

Nothing is better than a short quick read that doesn’t skimp on storyline or steam. Juliette, my goodness! She was a doozy in the beginning, her personality is literally the kind of character I despise in books. BUT! She has not had it made in the shade. Her Dad is controlling everything in her life, including who she marries, and the fact that she will go to a Master to learn how to please her chosen husband. This first book of ten was really good and I can’t wait to read a new one every month.

She’s kinda annoying but there’s a sweetness to her too (at times lol) but know she is being groomed for the future husband her dad picked out, she doesn’t know who he is but she’s about to get some serious lessons in what he expects from her. Raven Jayne is a new author for me. I was gifted a copy of Obey with no expectation to read it. It was my choice to read and leave my honest review. The story grabbed my attention right away. I kept reading and was definitely hooked by the 3rd chapter. The characters were interesting, the descriptions well-written. I had a great picture going on in my head. I can't say I wasn't enjoying it. However, I will say that there were times where I felt a bit uncomfortable for the 21-year-old leading young woman and her need to please and "obey". At times I just felt a bit like a voyeur, watching this poor young girl struggle. So, I'm not entirely sure what it was about this one that made me feel a bit uneasy. But at times I did. Ok, that being said, I will also say that this genre/trope is right up my alley--I've read it more times than I can count. I'm no prude. I'm wondering if not having the entire story at my fingertips is what's making me hesitate. I'm just not 100% sure I love this one or not. So, I'm going to say 3-stars from me and I'll be hoping the next book in this series, "Tempt: Lesson Two," will make me feel like this is truly moving somewhere I'd like to go.

Juliette comes from a long line of the elite rich. Rich beyond any imagination. And in this world, there are secrets and marriages are alliances.
Juliette has been promised in marriage for as long as she can remember even though she's never seen his face or even know his name. Her whole life she has been schooled to be his perfect wife.
Her father calls her to him and tells her that her husband sent her a gift. Although he isn't her husband yet. She has just turned twenty-one and is impatient to finally meet her soon-to-be husband and plan her wedding.
But the gift has conditions. She is to be sent for erotic training. When she arrives the next day at the appointed address there is no one in the conference room. Just a silver tray with a note telling her to remove her panties, put them on the tray, lean with her elbows on either side of the tray with the note between her teeth.
But she got tired of waiting and after thirty minutes got out of position and started to investigate the room. Which is how he found her. Her instructor. Who demanded she calls him Master. Who told her she failed the test in obedience.
Master is a gorgeous man with dark hair and striking green eyes whose presence takes over the room. She finds out that she has to pass Lesson One to get to the next lesson. Not only does he not disclose his name, but he also gives her no information on the lessons or the name of her husband-to-be who ordered these lessons.

Lesson One is on obedience. She is sent to a famous Russian ballet studio for her first lessons.
Vlad may be gorgeous, but he is the ballet instructor from hell. She has trained in ballet since childhood and excelled in her studies, but evidently, she can't do anything correctly.
She doesn't understand these lessons and why her promised husband has demanded that she take them. Why would he sanction other men touching her, but she is told that every last detail is at his request and with his approval.
I love this book. It is obviously a series of cliffhangers, but there is also a huge mystery. Who is the man she has been promised to? Why has it been kept a secret from her?
This book is very well written and the characters are very relatable. The authors have drawn me into the story as if I was there alongside Jane supporting Juliette through all her confusion.
Master (because we have no name) is well....wow! His personality and command come through the pages. Vlad is an exacting task maker and works Juliette to exhaustion week after week.
I'm really looking forward to Juliette's next 'lesson' and any clues as to the identity of her husband to be and what these lessons hold for her future.
Highly recommend. This book is a dark romance and is HIGHLY erotic. If you have triggers beware, but if not enjoy!

Unexpectedly surprising LOVELY! This book is erotic. There's no sugar coating it. But would you believe me if I tell you there is no sex in this book! Then how the $*&% is it erotic?! Think about everything that can happen other than sex.... then imagine it being teased just enough to carry you to the brink....that's exactly ho this entire story was written. Each novella is a new lesson that Juliette has to learn to be prepared sexually for her unknown and unseen husband. We don't know who he is but he sends instructions as to what she has to learn to be delivered through an erotic concierge known as 'The Master'.
What surprised me was that the Master was not the one doing the direct training. Her first lesson was to obey but it was taught through ballet. Huh?! Yupppp! when I tell you the creativity and thought put into this series is something I've never read and I am recommending it to my whole book squad!

Master Class is a series of short serial novels. I believe the author is planning on 10 short books and so far, the first 3 are released.
In book 1, we meet Juliette who has excelled in everything she has studied and is ready to embark on her arranged marriage, but she learns that her future husband who she has never met wants her to take one more series of classes before their wedding. In this book she meets the master who is to ensure she is trained to her future husbands’ specifications.
Overall, I’m not a huge fan of these serials as I really want to read them faster than the author typically publishes them. But I am enjoying the lessons so far and I can’t wait to see what else she has to learn to be the perfect wife. Who really is Master? Who is her husband to be? So many questions!!!

This is a short and Erotic story of Juliette who has been promised to a man to be his wife. She has been doing everything for years to learn to be the best wife she can be. She is then told she has more training to do and is sent to Ballet class. This is more then just any class it is to teach obedience. She is confused at why she needs to do this and keeps failing. She meets Master who is supposed to be helping to train her in Erotica. This book is totally hot and Erotic and she is on a wild journey to be the best wife in every way. It is an incomplete series and will be interesting to see how events come to be.

This was a different erotica, BDSM book. I figured it would play out in her being taught some of the lessons of BDSM but it really wasn't. The first lesson that wealthy and a little bit spoiled Juliette Newmont was being taught was to obey. The lesson was not done like I thought it would be done but it was very interesting that she was taught obedience and it was interesting that she had to be taught obedience at all, with her father's blessing. Her mother seems had deceased so it was just her and her father William Newmont. This is all training before she mets and marries the man she has been promised to in marriage, the way of the wealthy, hmmm. Short and easy to read. Good book.

This leaves you hanging in a negative way. The steps that this woman goes through don't seem to be for any real purpose other than to titillate the audience. There are a lot of things in BDSM that are taught to a submissive. What kind of bothers me about this one is that it's non-consensual. And at the very end of the book it leaves you hanging until you pay for the next book and then that book leaves you hanging until you pay for the next book so you're paying a lot of money just to get one book. Not for me.

This book was interesting. I don't quite know what to think just yet. Juliette Newmont is being groomed to be a wife but, not according to what she thought. In comes Master and Vlad, trainers to get her together but she has to learn patience. Book one had enough information to get you vested. William Newmont, the dad is ruthless. I don't really like him. I am glad though that Juliette has Jane. I will read book2 to see if I want to invest more time in the story. I give it a 3.5 which rounds up to a 4 star.

It felt like a book where nothing happened. We still don’t know who the female lead is marrying. The father? The master? There wasn’t romance or smut. And before any interest has any interest built yet, we’re getting bombarded with scenes of the female lead’s friend. Distracting and unnecessary.

It's def spicy and an erotic journey.
I dislike the premises of this for whatever reason since I never had a problem before..shrugs..more than dislike, it rubs me the wrong way...the being trained to be the perfect wife to be exact..not the submission or anything related to the erotic part but I am still interested in the journey.
Juliette is not my fav but that could change..we will see what the lessons will bring.
I dislike the premises of this for whatever reason since I never had a problem before..shrugs..more than dislike, it rubs me the wrong way...the being trained to be the perfect wife to be exact..not the submission or anything related to the erotic part but I am still interested in the journey.
Juliette is not my fav but that could change..we will see what the lessons will bring.
