These books are so cute. With a long string of play on words and taking one meaning for another, Deputy Dan makes a lot of mistakes into doing things right in the long run. This is really cleaver. It's worth it to just see how many different meanings there are in so many words.

My little buddy read it to me. I found it quite amusing and really a great book for early readers. It was labelled as level L from school for Fountas and Pinnell. Dan is a very literal man, and he cracked me up!
