This is a really neat journal! Perhaps the most striking bit for me is the production itself; its beautiful illustrations are a joy to even just look at, lol. It's _almost_ too pretty to write in (but I really wouldn't actually have that trouble).

There's one "prompt" per week, which at first I felt was too light--but as I think about it more, it's growing on me. It allows the reader to dive into a particular topic and carry that throughout the week, rather than trying to keep up with multiple days at a go--something I've been struggling with as I'm working my way through a few Advent-themed books right now!

The action items are varied from week to week, which I appreciated; I think it's got a bit of something for everyone!

Very well done all around.

This book's description is very accurate- "Infuse spirituality and peace into your daily life with this beautiful interactive journal that offers a simple way to lower stress and rediscover rest."

Through weekly scripture reading, then a reflection, and a simple response area- this is a book to help train yourself toward thankful, prayerful, thoughtful, and practical. So each week has a short verse, then reflect- then respond- suggestions like listening to a hymn, focusing on and listing the attributes of God- all practical mindsets and ideas to draw closer to God.

But I felt it was lacking a connection to the Word of God, as well as a dependence on the Holy Spirit to help us reframe and retrain our old nature thinking to a new nature in Christ. It is very 'me focused' and the marketing plan is how I can improve this- and I know that many will find my thinking overly critical- but I want to flee from the self-help- I can grow and improve myself-- and be growing to have less stress, worry, and more peace by living in utter dependence and reliance on the Holy Spirit supporting me and turning my heart, mind, and soul to live according to His Word.

Thankful to partner with Waterbrook and read a pdf version of this book to review. All thoughts are my own, and I'm disappointed that this is a Christian journal that doesn't point to the Word of God and the person of God as the solution to our needs.

While the past two years have been challenging, many of us are finding ourselves more anxious than ever. And while we recognize that worrying about life doesn't solve anything, letting go of those concerns can be overwhelming. Learning healthy ways to deal with stress is needed in pursuing a life of freedom. 52 Weeks of Resilience guides its reader through strategies of gratitude, prayer, habit formation and more in order to release life's concerns.

The journal topics in this book are Christian in nature and continually point the reader back to God. Each week contains Scripture, a short 2-3 line devotional, a prompt to reflect and journal on, and a response action to take at the end. These selections focus on the goodness of God, his faithfulness and provision. They're written to encourage the reader to release worries and reframe their thought life. And there's plenty of space for journalling and reflection on how this applies to day to day life. 52 Weeks to Resilience is a wonderful tool for managing daily stress and anxiety.

These last years have been challenging ones. The coming year would be a good one in which to rebuild biblical attitudes towards life's events. This devotional journal helps Christians focus on gratitude, prayer, thoughts and habits. Each topic has thirteen weekly devotions. Each week provides a Scripture, a short devotion, a question for reflection and an action prompt. There is plenty of room for journaling. The journal is structured so that readers would move from anxiety or worry to trusting in God as they follow through the devotions.

I like the content of the devotions. They are good encouragement to help Christians refocus their attention and faith toward God. I do wish the layout had contained more frequent devotions. A week between inspiring messages is a long time when one is trying to refocus. This is a book for people who can do well with only weekly inspiration for change. The photographs are beautiful but I am not sure of their impact on changing focus to trust in God.

I received a complimentary digital copy of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

Life has a way of wearing us down. In the middle of the daily grind we can forget what the truly important things in life are. This journal gives you ideas to get back to the person you want to be, and remind you to adopt an attitude of gratitude. It covers 52 weeks, and you can start anytime you like. Each week there is a verse, a brief paragraph that gives you some insight, and then a reflection spot that gives you a prompt and space to write. There are also suggestions for activities, like writing a thank you note to God, or setting an alarm on your phone to remind you that God is with you. The actual reading should only take a minutes or two, and the journaling can fit into your week as much as you like.
This was a well thought out book, that would be good for anyone to read, especially in the midst of a pandemic! This would give anyone a chance to look on the bright side of life, and to count their blessings. While things can seem bad, it only takes a moment to remind you that there's always someone you can lean on

This is a very beautiful journaling book that has pages for 52 weeks, with chapters containing topics that give you wonderful ideas of things to both write about and contemplate and ponder about. The subjects are Christian in nature and help you to unwind physically and spiritually. It reminds you to rely on God to help you resolve many of the concerns and worries that press upon your mind. It helps you find strength and happiness through becoming closer to God.
There is beautiful and simple artwork throughout the pages. There are thoughts, scriptures and places to reflect on them by writing down your own thoughts and feelings and what that scripture means in your life.

This is a beautiful and meaningful way to express your thoughts and become more resilient to life's cares and worries.

I received a complimentary ebook version of this book from the publisher, Waterbrook & Multnomah and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

This is such a beautiful new journal, 52 Weeks of Resilience by Ink & Willow, that is meant to be take you through the year. Short devotion, with scripture and a weekly reflect and response/action to do. This will help you to focus on being grateful, thankful, encouraging, all while focusing on the Word of God and His promises.

I will use this as a place to write weekly things I am thankful for and to take a moment to reflect and then put into action those weekly responses to what I am learning/growing in. There will be weeks where you will write, listen to hymn, draw, reach out to someone, go out into nature, cultivate good habits, etc…

Definitely a timely journal that is needed! Gift yourself one and all those you know that need a reminder of where peace comes from.

This was a wonderful book filled with a lot of great tips for letting go of anxiety and worry and instead praying and remembering God's promises. There were a few overarching themes like being thankful or prayerful that a couple weeks or so would focus on with each week having a different short devotional and then plenty of room to journal. It had a Bible verse, a question to reflect on and a small action step to take such as looking up a song or writing a thank you note. The photographs were beautiful and I could see this being a devotional I would read again and again. I highly recommend this book!

I received a pdf copy of this book free from Waterbrook Multnomah. I was not compensated for this review. All opinions are my own.

As the new year approaches for many of us it’s time to look forward to a new start. This little hard back journal, to me, is a great way to write my reflections and thoughts for each week. Short enough to be able to spend time each week to think about the devotion.
There are three major categories: Be Thankful, Be Prayerful, Be Thoughtful. Each week has its own title under these main categories.
Not a big time investment for those of us with lots on our plates but just enough food for thought for the beginning of each week.
I received a complimentary ebook copy of this journal from Ink and Willow but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise.
