Read this book for my toddler's bedtime. A good story about babies and the stages of growth. Babies started out small and fragile. Sleeping less and more demanding. Learning stages and feeling scared. Then one day grow older, sleep longer, and more independent. Parents is there through it all and loving the babies every step of the way. A showcase of different animals in this story. Fun and cute illustrations.

I enjoyed this book as a mother and read it to our baby/toddler storytime group for the adults. The drawings are sweet and reminded me of when my children were small. The drawings have some diversity in them. For instance, a koala pops out of the kangaroo's pouch. The vocabulary is robust - agile, restless, wobbling, enlightened, determined, fragile - and it rhymes. It's not necessarily a book that I would read to a child, but as a mom, it was empowering. For instance, I don't know that I want to tell my child that they're demanding, but worth it. I appreciated seeing the adult asleep in the bed while the child was still bright eyed and bushy tailed. I remember those days and many of the adults could appreciate that illustration as well.
Very cute! I would not hesitate to purchase a copy for parents of littles and it might make a perfect Mother's Day gift.

The illustrations are cute - different types of animals - a parent animal and a baby animal in an animated illustration style doing different actions. I like the cute little signs in some of the illustrations ("I know I'm cute, but please don't touch me" and "For you"). The little details made me laugh. I love the simplicity of it and how the scenes show typical moments of a parenting day ("You're not hungry. No." and "You're STILL AWAKE. Hoo...hooo?"). Cute celebration of little ones growing up - starts off with them as a baby and ends with them going off to school! The overall theme is that the child is loved in every action, feeling, and season by their parent!
A few words per page. Good for toddlers or preschool age or mixed family - especially for the caregivers.

Using animal children the first half of this picture book depicts some of the “annoying” habits of toddlers before they turn two. My favorite was the double page spread for “You’re not hungry, your tummy aches.” Second half of the title shows the toddlers gaining more skills as they approach the second birthday. Sweet boy that will speak to parents and caregivers.

While there is a plethora of books celebrating the love and growth of a child, Liz Climo's You're Loved is a special one that stands out: the perfect amount of simple, silly, and sweet, just like her iconic comics.

I love Liz Climo's art, and the writing here almost reminds me of Love You Forever. It's so sweet and talks about the kids as they're growing up.

I absolutely loved this. The illustrations were so fun. I could relate to the llama at the beginning 😂. I loved the humor scattered throughout, but I also loved to watch the child development. Touching.

Yes, so sweet! All animals, but we have an adopted kid and a kid in a wheel-chair, and lots of other delightful parent-child combinations. :)

As always, Liz Climo's animal drawings are sweet and heartwarming, but the text seemed a bit flat to me, and doesn't have much rhythm.

Ugh, the owl sleeping at night just... frustrated me for no good reason. Just write the book with real people! That's way more accessible for your target audience.

Very cute book and I loved the pandas that were scattered throughout. As with all of Liz's books, this one has a wonderful message. It's primarily for young kids, but as an adult I enjoyed it too. Loved the fact that one of the animals illustrated was in a wheelchair. Nice touch.
