Hanleigh is a USA Today Bestselling Author and is about as English as it's possible to be, without actually being English.
She first fell in love with books as a child reading Dr Seuss, but moved onto romance when she first read Pride and Prejudice at the age of twelve. She wishes she could live inside the world inside her mind, but since that isn't possible she puts pen to paper and shares that world with her readers instead.
What will Everett do when the Mother shows up on his doorstep? This installment picks right up where Craving left off. There are questions abound and no one has the answers. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!
Another great story by Hanleigh Bradley drawing you into the world of vampires, danger and a rebellion that will have you fearing for your life. New emotions that neither one can understand while not wanting to be apart from one another and wow what an end, you really know how to keep us guessing. I literally read this in one day and I really need to know what happen next in the story.
Intense is the perfect word to describe the third installment of the series. It had been a while since I have read the series and I haven't read Craving, but with Thirst, I felt I hadn't missed a beat with Everette and Farah.
Farah meets The Mother, Everette's vampire mother. Things are tense because there seems to be a war brewing and Everette is still confused about what he should do with Farah. The Mother doesn't make things any easier because she thinks he should turn Farah or kill her.
Unfortunately, for Farah, she doesn't know what she wants. But what she does know that she wants to be with Everette and loves him, even though she knows that she shouldn't.
I liked the complexity of their relationship. It isn't about the sex, there is something more despite what they are willing to admit to themselves and each other. They are painfully honest with one another, which makes them feel very relatable. When Farah admits how she feels about him, Everette replies that she shouldn't. In the end, he remembers what he is and the harm that he can cause her. He knows he has the potential, the want for killing her, but he isn't ready to do that.
Farah isn't sure about being with him forever, but she does want to be with him.
Hanleigh does a wonderful job with the way she writes Everette and Farah. Everette's uncertainty about what Farah means to him and his wanting to keep her safe makes him feel almost human. Farah not knowing what they are to each other, he's a boyfriend or her mate but he's someone she as come to love. At least that's what she tells herself. They are really honest and real characters and that's what I enjoy about them.
I don't know what these two will decide, but something tells me that a choice is going to be made and it would be a light one.
I really enjoyed this continuation of Farah and Everette's story. Both are still struggling with their thoughts and reactions to each other which are completely against the norm in their situation, however, they both in this book, realize that they actually love and care about each other even though their minds tell them not to. There is a rebellion going on now and Everette realizes that in order to make Farah safer he will have to turn her. We are definitely hit with a shock at the end and I am excitedly awaiting the next book to see what happens. I received a free advance review copy of this story from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
This third books up where Crave left off and dives into more of Everette as a person. It allows us to get a sense of him in a different way and see him in his element navigating the path he chose. Farah is taken for a ride and learns quiet a lot that allows her to gain an new understanding of Everette. He isn't what he quiet seems and I wonder if Farah will truly let everything go and embraced everything Everette is offering. The Thirst is real and Everette has needs. Bradley timed this perfectly and I love this whole angle of the world she introduces in this book. It's fast but it's a lot of information to handle and process and perfect for fans of this series. .
This is book 3 in this series so far and oh my days what a read it is. These books are quick reads with all the drama that it can musta. Everette is the big bad vamp, that all fear. Farah is the unfortunate one that has crossed his path. This story picks up from where we left it in book two. The Mother is in town and has landed at Everette door. With The Mother here Everette is worried. There is plenty going on and Farah finds out a thing or two.
This was an enjoyable quick read that was perfect for those times when you want to enjoy a good book but are short on time. It moves along at a nice pace, which made for a nice read. The characters are amazing and you cannot help but fall in love with them and the story will grab you and keep you turning pages till you reach the end. this book needs to be read, no doubt about it.
THIRST (The Elite Book 3) by Hanleigh Bradley is a great story to read. This is book number three in this great series that that I have enjoyed reading. I recommend this story to everyone.
I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
This is book 3 of the Elite series. The author, Hanleigh Bradley, does not disappoint. This book in the series picks up right where book 2 left the reader. Everette still has no idea what he is going to do with Farah. This book has romance and is steamy. I highly recommend this book! Five stars from me.
I loved this Book. The new characters introduced and how the couples reaction is to them. Hanleigh Bradley continues this series and you know where you are and can catch up easily I definitely recommend reading this series of books. You will be hooked
This was intriguing read. Coming into the series on the third book, it didn't take much to catch up. Now I am ready for the next book because I can't believe that cliffhanger. I look forward to more in this series.
Really good book it started where the last one left off it’s great to see that the two main characters are falling in love I hope things end well for them this is a must read can’t wait for the next one
This was a very entertaining story. The characters were very good and they kept me reading. This series is awesome and I highly recommend. This author never disappoints
Farah knew right away that Everette was a vampire. The way he watched her as she worked at the diner, day after day, made her uncomfortable and, yet, sent a chill down her back. He isn't like the vampires in her romance books. She is sure that he doesn't have a soft side that leads to domesticity. He is drawn to everything about her, but he knows it could never end well. They can't deny their intense attraction and Everette is becoming quite possessive. Farah is conflicted because part of her wants to run and part of her wants to be possessed. In Thirst, she spends most of her time with Everette in his home, and in his bed, but is starting to feel her mortality. She has always known that he was going to kill her, and her curiosity can't keep her from asking him almost everyday...is today the day you kill me? The outside world comes crashing in to their little bubble, when he gets word that his brother has been killed, and he desperately needs to find out who and why. Into this mess, the Mother (she who created the original vampires) arrives to get her own revenge. She is surprised when she meets Farah and realizes how much she looks like her mother. This story is getting more mysterious and there are many more layers to sift through to find the truth. Privately, his Mother tells Everette something he just can't accept, or is it that he doesn't want to accept. It is a life-changing truth and it remains to be seen how Farah is going to react. We are left with a cliffhanger, just as Everette finds out there has been a betrayal within his own family and the shock consumes him. The narration is excellently done by Debbie Soelter, with her dynamic and well-modulated voice that gives expression and a unique personality to each of the characters.
I received this ARC from the author and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is part of an ongoing series and must be read from book 1. This is not a dark vampire storyline.
Triggers: vampires who drink your blood and sometimes kill
Spoilers: Book 3 of the ongoing series of Everette the Vampire and Farah the human he set his sights on. (or should I say, sinks his teeth into?)
We get more of Everette's background, meeting his "mother", her connection to Farah's mom. Other characters are introduced into the storyline.
Everette is still conflicted about what he plans to do with Farah. Everytime she asks him questions, he distracts her with sexy time. Farah claims to love Everette but doesn't like his vampire ways. Since Everette is a vampire and that isn't going to change, and Farah does not seem interested in being turned into a vampire, it appears to makes a long term "relationship" between them impossible.
A bit of mystery/danger is thrown in and that sets you up for book 4.
I have learned this is the 3rd book in a series of 4. I have not read the others. I received an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. This is my voluntary review. The narrator did a wonderful job of giving unique voices to each character. Her male voice was scratchy and mysterious, just like I think Everett would be. The story is short, but packed with events, circumstances and situations that keep you involved in the lives of Everett and Farah. He's a vampire. She's a human. Their attraction is strong and dangerous. It ends on a cliffy. Need Book 4.
A surprise visit from The Mother raises more questions than answers especially when it comes to Everette’s feelings for Farah. His original plans for her have taken a detour as he realizes the one way to keep her safe is the last thing she wants.
Farah has fallen in love with Everette and not the lifestyle, but she may not be able to have one without the other. The story ends on a cliffhanger that you don’t see coming.
Oh Bradley - you tease and delight me all at the same time. Your books captivate and leave me begging for more and this was no different. These short reads / listens are packed full of everything you want and yet is never enough. This is book 3 in Bradley's The Elite series and continues Farah and Everette's story. Short but wonderful!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review. *this review is based on the audio version of this read.
Somehow I didn’t feel this continuation. However we got to know more about Jassemine and there is a very surprising cliffhanger, I felt like nothing has happen. However it did happen. It was little bit steamy. Ot had emotions. It had as well possessiveness, but.. well.. Everette was always possessive of Farah. At the final I liked it, but nothing more.
Thirst is a good read. It picks up where CRaving left off. There's still back and forth with Everette and Farah. He's not sure what to do with Farah and Farah's not sure if she wants to be changed. There's more of a mystery suspense storyline in this one and the ending has a cliffhanger that has me waiting for the next one.
A unique novella, different from the vampire romance I was expecting. For now the cliffhanger is killing me. What happens next? The story starts off quietly obsessive. Is Everett holding Farah hostage, or is she there of her own free will? I still don't know. She says she loves him, but is that just a vampiric thrall? Not sure. I will have to read the next book to find out.
For every book we get one step further into the future for Everette and Farah. At the same time there are more questions than answers. What happened to Kirdeem, The Mother’s mate and Everette’s brother? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
This is book 3 in a series so reading in order is required in this case. I love how Hanleigh paints the story and its different than your regular vampire story. It takes turns I didn't expect and I'm looking forward to book 4.
Book 3 of the series. Not my favorite book, but still good. I’m this book you are introduced to Jessamines, Emmett’s mother. Some more background on the Royals is in there as well. I was able to finish this in 1 day.
Very good installment in the series. Intrigue and romance with plenty of steam. Keeps the plot moving and ends on an unpredictable twist. Eagerly awaiting the next book.
