I love this bind-up of Finding My Way and Forever My Girl. We get to see the journey of Liam Westbury becoming Liam Page. I'm including excerpts from my original reviews for the books that I loved so much.

Finding My Way:
I read a lot of young adult books and that is probably the reason why Forever My Girl flashback scenes were some of my favorite parts of that book. I loved reading about the young Liam and Josie. In Finding My Way, Heidi outdoes herself and adds depth by giving us those moments again and what led up to them and what happens after. It isn't a repetition of something that we've already read. New meaning is given to those moments and we get to see how complex Liam and Josie's relationship really is.

What I love most about Finding My Way is how Heidi has given us a vulnerable Liam. He is young and unsure. Heidi captures that doubt of adolescence, of Liam becoming an adult and making decisions and choosing a path that he wants to pursue. He doesn't always know if the decisions he makes are the right ones, but he has to take a chance to find out.

Forever My Girl:
I love when I start reading a new book and getting swept up in the story from the very beginning. That is exactly what happened while reading Forever My Girl. The alternating point of views let me know what Liam and Josie were thinking and feeling which allowed for an immediate connection to the characters. They both were experiencing a significant loss - the death of a friend - and it was I though I was experiencing their loss. I was that caught up and I admit there were even a few tears shed.

Some parts of the story are told in flashbacks and these were some of my favorite parts of the book. In these moments, it was apparent just how much Josie and Liam meant to each other and loved each other. Their love was a young love, but real and overwhelming.

Forever My Girl had me on an emotional roller coaster. There was a heaviness to it, but there were many smiles, some laughs, heart-warming moments, and lot of anticipation. It is a really sexy story and the idea of what might be contributes to that. The story builds and builds and I hoped that Liam and Josie would end up together, but there for a while I could see the possibility that I might not happen. A lot of time had passed, Josie suffered a lot of pain when Liam left, and she had a lot of healing to do and feared that her heart would be shattered all over again.

There are very few adult series that I continue to read as the series progresses whether is it because I get bored with the characters or the storyline, or you know, so many books, so little time. But as I've said before, these are characters that I don't want to let go of. I love reading about the characters of Beaumont and the stories that Heidi likes to tell. As long as she keeps writing, I'll keep reading.

Nothing makes me happier than when one of my favorite authors releases a new goodie for me to devour. Liam Page is one of those book boyfriends that makes you swoon without even trying! I've been swooning over this cover since the moment I saw it! But Liam Page is not just a pretty face and this is not just a pretty book cover. Inside you'll find two novels, Finding My Way and Forever My Girl.

In Finding My Way, you meet Liam Westbury, his high school girlfriend, Josie, and their best friends, Mason and Katelyn. Liam is the star quarterback in Beaumont and is expected to go to college and be drafted by the NFL. He's loved by the entire town and is treated like a king. And he's feeling the pressure. He begins second-guessing himself and everything and every one around him. He's no longer sure that football is what he wants out of life. Liam has to make the decision to forge his own path and in the process, he hurts the people he loves the most. Finding My Way is Liam's transition from Liam Westbury to rock god, Liam Page.

Forever My Girl begins ten years later, after Mason's death. Liam returns to Beaumont for Mason's funeral and has to face the loved ones he left behind. His beloved, Josie, has moved on and is about to marry another man. And he meets Noah, the son he never knew he had.

These books are so well-written. They will hook you right from the start and not let you go. They'll make you forget that you're reading a book and you'll become part of the Beaumont family.

Liam's Journey is absolutely amazing and should not be missed.

Two books together. Got to know all the back ground of Liam & JoJo (In book #4) before the return to Beaumont. I felt it repeated itself a lot but moved much smoother once I got to "Forever my Girl"(book# 1).

This is a big treat! A must buy book! Heidi McLaughlin has combined book 1 and book 4 of the Beaumont series into one volume. For a limited time reader’s can now get the whole story of Liam’s Journey.

This incredible volume contains two books that show the journey of a boy growing into being a man. What it took for this troubled young man to evolve into a man that can be admired for his devotion, integrity, and dedication will capture your heart. It is an honest look at the realities that life thrust upon us whether they are good or bad. It shows that every life situation can shape us into a better person. It’s okay to make mistakes. It’s okay to search for happiness. It’s okay to fall down. It’s okay to succeed. It’s okay to love with all your heart. All these life lessons have made Liam Westbury, the all star boy, become the sensational superstar Liam Page.

His dreams started out on the football field and lead to the stage. His choices changed his dreams. His journey through these turbulent years has lead him home to Beaumont and to the one dream he never let go of. Now is his time to grab that dream and run with it.

Liam Westbury / Liam Page is one of my all time favorite book boyfriends. Now you can get your hot little hands all over both these Liam’s. His story will not disappoint.

Liam’s Journey can be read as a stand alone novels. Although the books are the beginning and ending of the Beaumont Series, they are just one character showing two sides of the coin. The other books in the series feature the other members of the 4225 West band and friends from the Beaumont community.

Wow, I went into this thinking it was going to be a small novella but it was so much more than that!

Heidi takes us right back to when Liam & Josie met and fell in love in high school. We also go along this same journey with Mason & Katelyn which was so sweet too.

All his life Liam has been dictated to by his father, play football, go to the University of his choice and get drafted by the NFL. Everyone around him expects this too. He is so in love with Josie and continually clashes with his father on his relationship with her.

Liam develops an interest in music and teaches himself how to play the guitar, eventually surprising Josie with a song he wrote for her. Her reaction wasn't what he expected it to be and he is left feeling even more like no one understands him and what he wants in life.

After going off to college and eventually leaving to live in LA, we get the whole 10 years back story of how he became Liam Page.

There are so many sad moments as he struggles to follow his dreams but always wanting the girl he left behind. This is such an emotional journey for him and I'm so glad I read this as it just fills in the gaps so much more.

I especially loved the scene when Liam meets Harrison's baby son Quinn for the first time, just adorable :)

This is a must read for lovers of this series.

Had read these two books before but reread them as a part of a group discussion. Loved rereading about Liam and Josie and their journey.

It was great discussing these books with others and reading their opinions.

In Finding My Way, Liam loves Josie but he's suffocating playing football. What once was a passion now just brings on anxiety for him. Josie wants the all American dream with Liam. Him in the NFL and she his wife and personal cheerleader. But Liam starts to find a new passion in music. One he doesn't know how to tell Josie about.

College brings on heartache and heartbreak. You feel for the characters and everything they are going through.

Forever My Girl- Liam goes back to Beaumont after becoming a famous musician. He's back to bury a friend and it all changes his life.

There's so much emotion in these two books. You feel the heartache, frustration, passion and love. It's written in a way that the story flows very nicely.

Loved these two books. Highly recommend them.

When you meet Liam he is the towns "Golden boy football star . He appears to Have it
all going for him and with his girlfriend , Josie by his side they can get through anything or can they ? You see Liam struggling with the life that has been laid out for him. As he sets off for college
he is miserable and makes a choice to leave Beaumont and that decision impacts him and those
who love him. He comes back to town ten years later as a famous rock star , after a tragedy strikes and is having to face the emotions and people he left behind . Put this in the top of your TBA and find out
if Liam can mend all the hearts he broke including his own .

I know some reviews had mixed feelings about the prequel, but I really loved having the set with the whole journey for Liam and Josie all in one place. Plus wow, when they are young some parts make you so frustrated you want to yell and scream.

Since I had not yet read Forever My Girl, I knew something big was going to happen and it was like I was waiting for it to jump out from out of the blue and change everything. This story was a great second chance love story and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
