This book is absolutely full of fascinating facts. I'm not sure how many writers work on these books, but the text is credited to Geoff Tibballs on the title page, and the style does feel fairly even throughout. The writing itself is clear and intriguing. I often found myself wishing for more detail, but I suppose that's the nature of this type of book. The organization was also a little spotty. Some pages would be themed and then others would be totally random. That's not a bad thing, just a little jarring to the structure-minded among us. Luckily there was an index so I could go back and find some of the juicier bits that I wanted to tell people about.

Thoroughly enjoyable and idea-sparking.
