Star quarterback scores in a Portland dance club fight! Has football's bad boy gone too far this time?
Reports and photos of Quinn Larson's latest barroom brawl hit the internet in minutes, reaching millions of fans who follow every move of the NFL's biggest star. Social media sites quickly add this story to the endless gossip about his wild parties, occasional fights, and countless one-night stands.
But the furor over Quinn's latest altercation does not sit well with members of the team's top brass, who believe the team's reputation is more valuable than any player--including their star quarterback. Quinn receives a direct order form the general manager: Disappear from the public eye and repair your image. Your career depends on it.
Given no choice, Quinn heads for his secluded cabin in the Tillamook State Forest, where he intends to disappear until the uproar settles down and the eyes of social media focus on someone else. It seems like a perfect plan--until he finds a mysterious intruder in the cabin.
No plan is perfect, as Jenna Sutton discovers when her car gets stuck on a muddy road near Tillamook, halting her desperate flight from a vicious abuser. An unoccupied cabin provides shelter from the winter storm, but her refuge is soon invaded by its formidable owner. Can she trust this man to protect her from further harm?
Drawn by Jenna's rare beauty, Quinn fights to keep her safe. But as his feelings for her grow stronger, can he resist the power of unexpected love?
Filled with suspense and slow-burn romance, Unexpected Love is Book 3 of the Larson Family Saga but can be enjoyed as a standalone. Recommended for ages 18+ due to adult content, language, and sensitive issues.
Elise Quinn Larson and Quinn Larson are pen names for the author, whose degrees in history and criminology provide a background for her stories. But background is dull without passion, conflict and love, and the author delivers plenty of each in her novels!
Destiny: Our Forever Love is a sweeping saga of sexual passion and desire, criminal conspiracy and legal injustice, capital murder and death row, terminal illness and assisted suicide. Above all, Destiny is an emotional experience that will confirm your belief in the power of undying love.
The Larson Family Saga continues in Forbidden: Our Secret Love, when Trey--Johnny and Elise's youngest son--risks everything by falling in love with the one woman he is forbidden to possess.
In Unexpected Love: Redeeming a Football Star (The Larson Family Saga, Book 3), Quinn Larson--the NFL's troublesome star quarterback--must choose between salvaging his career and saving the life of the woman he loves.
In Perilous Love: Falling for a Football Star (The Larson Family Saga, Book 4), Mack Grenke--Quinn Larson's best friend--gets involved with a poor Chinese cleaning woman, an Asian street gang, a drug trafficking ring, and a billionaire politician. Don't miss this slow burn, protective hero romance!
Travess Blood tells the story of a lawman tormented by desire, an ex-convict possessed by hate, a woman fighting to save herself and the man she loves, and a small boy caught in the middle of a deadly war between the two men who share his Travess Blood.
The Travess Blood series continues in Travess Land, when Clint Travess must pin on his sheriff's badge again to protect his town, his family and their land from a nefarious rancher who's determined to grab whatever he wants--by any means necessary.
When Clint Travess discovers a mother lode on his Montana homestead, the news draws gold-hungry men who'll do almost anything--legal or not--for the precious treasure in Double Heart Mine. Travess Gold is the third book in the Travess Blood series.
The author's books are recommended for ages 18+ due to adult content, language, and sensitive issues.
I have not read any of the other books in this series, but going by this one then the rest must be very good. When you have one person running away from a bad situation and one running from bad publicity then there is bound to be fireworks. Not always the good kind. And the hits just keep coming for the couple as they try to stay one step ahead of trouble that is headed their way.
Read all three books in the series, but the third is definitely the best. Wish the author would write more, maybe from the next generation of Larson's ~ Ellie and the new baby deserve the spotlight.
I believe I typed a dissertation on the first book in this series "Destiny". That this book is about Elise's second son, wild child, who never got to know his mother, and never understood why his father was so harsh was amazing. Looking back, I allowed prejudices to influence my feelings about Trey's story, I now regret. Because, this story truly empathized Jonny and Elise's love. This second son, a remake of a young Jonny, Quinn, through tragedy and selflessness ( unknown to even himself ) becomes the man he is meant to be. Jenna, I simply wish to say, God bless her. So much for one so young, yet like the mother-in-law she'll never know, changed a man, with love, and immense strength. "This entire series is one for preserverence, true soul mate love, and growth of humanity!" But most of all, love. I still consider "Destiny" one of the most moving novels I have ever read. However, Ms. Larson, Trey and Quinn's novels were simply beautiful too!
This is a book that I didn’t want to put down. Ms Larson’s character descriptions are realistic. You feel their pain and emotions. We’ve visited Oregon—our daughter lives in Corvallis—so I appreciate the accurate geography and use of real locations. Read the description for a synopsis. I’d rather talk about how the book made me feel. Never having been in a domestic violence situation, it’s disturbing and angering to watch what Jenna goes through. But she comes out of it as a shining, strong star of a woman. Quinn has to, basically, grow up and acknowledge that he needs someone and that he needs love. Their journey will bring tears to your eyes at times. This is the third book in this series, but works well as a standalone.
This author is truly gifted. She never stops surprising me! This book was lovely and fresh and DIFFERENT, in the best of ways. So much of romance these days is cookie-cutter, and while those books certainly have their place, this story did not feel formulaic or predictable in any way, yet still delivered all the feels and a completely satisfying ending. The characters are richly imagined and it was a delight to see our resident Larson bad boy let his softer side out....*swoon*. I was rooting for him and Jenna and loved seeing both of them transform together and heal each other. Plus, the secondary characters grabbed at my heartstrings, too. (Mack, I love you!) I think this is my favorite one yet, and can't wait for Book 4 :)
Heartwarming … Heart-Wrenching … real life issues tackled ... 3 1/2 stars due to all the profanity
Pulls you in, makes you feel the pain. And yes, there is pain …. and not just for Jenna. Quinn has pain too, only a different kind. They are from different worlds, but suffering is suffering. Quinn hides his hurt, has everybody fooled, even himself. Jenna finally breaks free, or I should say she breaks away because she surely isn’t free … not yet. Both Quinn and Jenna have lessons to learn first.
I’m a first time reader of this author. This is a stand alone, but I think it would have been good to read more about Johnny first and the family background. I got a little confused how Grandma and Grandpa fit in and how the family was formed.
This story starts with Jenna a lonely women looking to get out of her town and go to school but life gets in the way choices are made and things go wrong Jenna runs away from the wrong man and finds a cabin to hide along comes Quinn and life takes on a whole new meaning. There are twists and turns that keep us on our toes. Everyone needs to rest this book.
Definitely an adult read. The main character finds herself in a abusive relationship and when it turns deadly finds an unexpected person who finds himself caught up in her situation.
A beautiful story about grief and love. It pulls at you with with every little touch, look, and feeling. With those emotions you can have a love that lasts thru thick and thin of life’s problems. I couldn’t put this down.
This book has a lot of danger, suspense, action and a lot of romance at the end, keeps you turning the pages until the very end looking forward to reading more books from this author,
