Good

Luke and Autumn. He was discharged from the military because of injury. She works at a paper.

The characters were just okay. Luke was supposed to be Alpha male, to me he wasn't.
The storyline was great. That's the reason it was given three stars.

Autumn moved to Charmed with her best friend Makayla. She is tasked with interviewing Luke. He was wounded and discharged. Now at home he is trying to cope both mentally and physically. At first their relationship is contentious but once they move past what is on the surface and allow the other to see the real person the fears melt away.

This couple even when they were fighting have chemistry. Their verbal sparring was intense but only because if the passion underneath it. Luke's anger was at the situation rather than Makayla. Thankfully he is able to see this. Makayla also has to work through distrust but hers is because an ex-fiance cheated. The group of people surrounding the couple are supportive. They are unique with future stories to be told.

This is the second book in the Charmed series. I love this small town and all its residents. I love Autumn's feistiness. Luke is just plain sexy.

I highly recommend this book. It is well written and you can feel Luke's frustration trying to heal and get back into society after being injured in the service. Although it can be read as a standalone I love that the mystery continues in the storyline giving the series cohesiveness besides the relationships that bind them together. I will definitely be reading more Jean Stokes' novels.

Autumn was fairly new to the town of Charmed and was best friends friends with Makayla who ran the Gazette, the town newspaper. On the other hand she had become best enemies with Luke the local boy who got injured in the war and was the local hero. Makayla assigned Autumn the task of interviewing Luke for a story for the paper. This was not something Autumn was looking forward to and neither was Luke. The first interview was at Luke’s home and ended with harsh words being said between the two and Autumn storming out of Luke’s and slamming the door behind her. They both wound up apologizing later and trying again but to say the process went smoothly would be an understatement. As the interviews continued both of their friends seemed to think there was a romance there but neither Luke nor Autumn saw it or were willing to admit it to themselves. They did get closer to the friend zone and then finally to the love zone but there was always something happening to spoil it. Even after it appeared they were finally a solid couple all of a sudden they were not. Would they ever find true love or were they destined to be be broken up forever? You will have to read this book to find out.

Smart, sweet heroine, Autumn, and struggling, injured alpha male, Luke HATE each other. With the same circle of friends what are enemies to do? Autumn has moved to the small community after being cheated on by her fiancé. She works with her best friends the local newspaper. Luke has recently been discharged from the military because of an accident that injured his leg. The two know very little of each other, but do not like one another. As Autumn begins interviewing Luke their feelings change. She is life changing for him, and I loved watching her stand by his stand and peel each layer off and help him heal, more mentally than physically. The physical therapist helps him physically and emotionally. This was a great story. I would say this is a true love story, the characters got to know each other and take care of each other. Their love slowly became evident and watching them see it was a lot of fun.

Quick easy read! I really enjoy these alpha male stories by Jean Stokes.
Luke and Autumn could not stand each other in the beginning. They were definitely enemies and threw insults at each other constantly. Autumn then decides to write a profile on Luke for the paper which means she has to interview him a few times. The first interview did not go well at all.
I really loved the chemistry these two had and how easily they came to trusting each other. I was really glad that autumn could finally read between the lines when it came to Luke. She could finally get through to him and calm him down when his insecurities got the better of him. Luke was actually a good guy; just got defensive when he wasn’t feeling good enough. The ending was great and I’m excited to see who Dean gets with.
I highly recommend this series and the Fort Balerno series!

Save Me is the second book in Charmed series and is an enemies to lovers romance. I loved Autumn and Luke's story. You can read this story as a standalone, but I think you'll enjoy it more if you read the series in order. Autumn and Luke were introduced in the first book, they're good friends to the couple in book one. There's also a secondary story arc that starts in book one. Luke and Autumn both have issues. Autumn is dealing with the aftereffects of a very toxic relationship. Luke hurt his leg badly when he was in the military which ended his career, and he fears he'll never be back to normal. Autumn and Luke are always fighting but when she's assigned an article to write about Luke, they're forced to get to know each other. Can these two enemies come together to help and heal each other?

You will definitely want to save this. Autumn came to Charmed, Kansas to help her friend Makayla run the town newspaper and to re-evaluate her life after a bad break up with her boyfriend. She is not looking for love. Luke Hampton is back to his home town because of injuries suffered in the military which leave him with decisions to make as to new goals in life. He isn't looking for love and certainly not from Autumn. To begin with they rub each other the wrong way and cannot find anything to like about the other. This is the second book in the Charmed series and is fun to read. I laughed a lot and shed a few tears with Luke. The book read smoothly and I look forward to reading the next in the series.

WOW I was so wondering if this was going to be the next couple to get a story. They way that these two banter back and forth is incredible. Autumn moved with her best friend back to the town she grew up in to help take over the small town newspaper company there. She had a cheating ex that she left behind and a job that just didnt quit work out how she thought it would. So hey why not go with your friend to where she grew up. Autumn was not wanting a relationship but with Luke these two have a chemistry between them that is off the charts. With the issues both of these have you would wonder if they could ever get together and have a HEA! So we have to have you read this and see what the outcome is.

Luke is home from the service, but still needs physical therapy for his leg after a bullet hit him. Autumn is the woman who crosses his path as the newspaper wants a profile on him for an edition. At first they hate each other, but the second interview starts to open them both up. The trust and acceptance is hard to come by and the romance is slow and building. Loved how deeply they learned about each other and were there to turn the stress and self-hurting feelings around. Not good to dwell on the negative so much. Nice to see that all their hopes were starting to come true by the ending. Well done.

Autumn works for the Charmed Gazette her friends newspaper and is asked to do a profile on returned Vet, Luke. They hate each other with a passion, so it makes it difficult to start with.
There is drama and so much tension in this book, especially till they start to like each other eventually. So well written, the characters were so likeable, broken and had big issues but definitely likeable, especially Luke. I enjoyed the supporting characters also, which helped to move the story along. Such a great book!

Autumn moves to Charmed, after her stinking boyfriend and her unfortunate career. Her friend Makayla from Reignited Love, lives in Charmed so Autumn goes there. Autumn is a great character and I really liked her. Luke is an injured war hero, and has some injuries that need to heal. His body and his spirit need to heal. Makayla sends Autumn to interview Luke and they seem to be enemies from the start, but there is that fine line between love and hate. I thought Jean Stokes presented their relationship in a believable way. My interest was kept and really enjoyed the story.

Changes…

Autumn leaves everything behind and comes to Charmed, Kansas with her best friend, Makayla. They have both decided to change their lives instigated by Makayla’s dream. Luke returns home after serving in the armed forces with a potentially serious leg injury.

This character led storyline is about misunderstandings, biased opinions and new perspectives and beginnings. The story is interesting and interlaced with real issues and feelings as well as fun. Really enjoyed the way the writer wove the experience for the reader using strong Alpha men and spunky women. A standalone but part of the Charmed series and my second book read!💕

Save Me is the 2nd book in the Charmed series. Luke is an injured military Vet and Autumn works for her friend’s newspaper. She is tasked with writing a profile on Luke. Problem is, they cannot stand each other although they can’t deny their chemistry. As they spend more time together, they realize that they actually do care for each other. Autumn and Luke get off to a very rough start. Neither are willing to try and work through their differences to see if they can workout a relationship. Finally they realize they make each other better and things heat up from there. Their story is sweet fast paced and keeps you reading till the end. Really enjoyed it!

The second book in the Charmed series a well written short story that held my interest until the end. Luke has returned to Charmed after being in a terrible attack while in the Military, and Autumn moved there to get away from things in her past. What a great love story about Luke & Autumn, who would the annoy the heck out of each other but once they admitted their attraction, became lovers. This story didn’t have a lot of hot, sexy scenes but that’s ok! It’s still had some steam and the challenges that Luke and Autumn experienced together completely held my interest until the end to their happily ever after.

I so much enjoyed this excellent book. Autumn and Luke hated each other so much, I didn’t think they’d ever get around to loving each other. Autumn was able to really know Luke and help him through so much. I loved Nancy, she was a rock for the both of them, but mostly Luke. This book is full of such great characters.

It is one of these cozy sit by the fire sipping on hot chocolate, a story perfect for this time of the year. A damaged broken hero goes head to head with a feisty stubborn female and well… You just have to read yourself to find out… I reckon then you will want to read the first in the series.

This is a great read.
Luke and Autumn have a love hate relationship that is until they get to know each other better.
Could they be anything other than friends especially when he is not happy with his life now he isn't in the army.
