If you are seeking a spiritual read that's not so hard on you, or if this is your initial read in this class, I would say this is the ideal title, to begin with. The pandemic period has clearly got many of us to speculate on the meaning of our being. In a race to achieve all the worldly traits, to excel & put our co-workers behind us, we have ignored our self-happiness.

This book has eleven simplistic yet knowledgeable chapters that helps one achieve peace & joy. The writer quite lucidly unfolds it in honest & realistic words how to obtain them. Every step has an engaging tale demonstrating its value & a to-do list at the end of all chapters to catch up on what's received. I liked the book's cover & title; really apt to everything the book communicates.

This is an absorbing self-help book, especially for beginners. The author's narrative is excellent; it makes you think as if the book itself is conversing with you. Rather than concluding the book promptly, it encourages you to enjoy all the parts by heart. A clear thumbs-up for the thorough study by the author. It's never too late to learn something new, correct?

From the very day when humans gained consciousness we're searching for that ultimate truth, who are we, what is the purpose of our existence, what is the ultimate goal of our life and how to achieve it, how to reach Siddhi, the ultimate state of bliss. And many such questions our modern science failed to answer. 'The Wheel of Spirituality' is a short guide to understand the path and attain that ultimate state of bliss. This book through its ten spokes of wheel- Samriddhi, Sahitya, Sanskars, Sambhaav, Sadbhavna, Sakriyta, Seva, Samarpan, Satarkta and Sadhna leads us to its very core- Siddhi.

'The Wheel of Spirituality' is a short, reflective guide to attain Sidhhi through some basic To Dos and daily exercises. Our life comes with a multitude of problems but instead of letting it beat us down we must embrace and overcome it, and this book will help us understand this through some real stories, scriptural verses, fictional stories and quotes from Holly books.

It is us who withhold us from our development and personal evolution. The whole objective of this book is to free us from our inner darkness and give us spiritual upbringing so we can liberate ourselves from sufferings. Every chapter is written in very simple yet meaningful style and with utmost details. I like the the inclusion of inspiring real life stories of famous persons. I was feeling so calm and content while reading this book.

This book encapsulates a wide range of human psychology affected by various external factors which hinders our path to seek spirituality. This book taught me a great deal how to control our emotions and I'm definitely gonna follow the path laid down in this book. I would recommend this book to everyone and would suggest to re-read this book from time to time to boost and motivate yourself into this greatest adventure of life.

You should pick this book up if you are looking for a short and quick read/introduction to spirituality and philosophy with relatable examples. The book talks about Siddhi and how to attain it via 10 practices. Each practice is explained in an individual chapter, which starts with a quote, has some examples and stories, and then ends with a to-do exercise that gives a call to action to keep yourself accountable.

The book is very well written, properly edited, and is perfect for beginner readers as these topics can be daunting sometimes if you have just begun your spiritual journey. However, being an avid reader of philosophical and spiritual subjects, I wish that author would have touched some topics in more depth. But I would definitely like to read if he comes up with another version of this book for advanced readers.

I recommend you to go for the paperback version of this book so that you can do all the to-do exercises and journal throughout the book. That definitely helped me being at more peace with myself.

Author Dr. Vinay Bansal has enlightened us with incredibly manageable ten steps to attain "Siddhi" (spiritual growth). Working on spirituality is now a trend and people are trying different methods of attaining it. Some try "Art", some " Social Service" etc.

These steps are new for me. Author has made it easy by giving us tasks after every lesson and stories as notes in chapters. Narrative is smooth and it is made easy to understand and trying on these steps. I tried to make a gratitude list, forgive people and me, and most importantly befriending meditation.

While trying these things first hand, I came across a conclusion, we must start with the basic steps if we are beginners. And keep this book handy and re-read it every day to apply. Because if we will leave reading or miss a day, we will be back with our routine.

Altogether it is a must-read short book and practices it every day.

This book is a very modern approach towards spirituality. It uses examples of 'Kota factory' and 'Instagram' to reinstate certain concepts, all of which make it very easy to understand spirituality. Plus, all the concepts are explained through little stories as well.

Although, when I want to read about spirituality, I prefer reading more about ancient Indian practices and beliefs. This is one thing that I missed here. But if you are a beginner, try it sometime, you might end up learning something good!

This book clarified the difference and similarity between the spirituality and science. The book talks about ways of attaining SIDDHI and these ways are -
Samriddhi, Sahitya, Sanskars, Sambhaav, Sadbhavna, Sakriyta, Seva, Samarpan, Satarkta, Sadhna. Siddhi means- State of complete bliss within yourself (eternal peace), it's mostly used in indian culture.
Cover of the book is beautiful with an image of wheel where all the Siddhi steps are mentioned. Title of the book is very appropriate for this story. Every chapter have good example of stories it's easy to understand the author's thoughts. In this book author tries to explain that Religion can be Spiritual but Spirituality is not entirely religious.
At the end of each chapter 'To do' list is very helpful , which helps us to discover the in depth meaning of life. If you want to read Spiritual or Philosophical books/ want to learn about them then this one will be a good choice to start with. I love self help books and this one is great to read in starting of year. It's a short read for those who want to follow the path of Spirituality.
Majestic lines from book-
📌Ups and downs are very important to keep us going because a straight line even in an ECG means we are not alive.
📌Do not make any decisions when you are too happy or too sad.

Must read for a joyful Spiritual journey

Book  - The Wheel of Spirituality: A joyful journey to Siddhi
Author: Dr. Vinay Bansal
Genre: Spirituality
Format: Kindle
Pages: 71
Rating: 4/5

The Author has written this book to give reader a taste of Spirituality to the modern generation; to put forward the point that Science and Spirituality are one and the same thing. The way lays down this heavy topic of spirituality in lay man’s terms is really remarkable. Author has very beautifully distinguished between Religion and Spirituality by saying  ‘Religion can be Spiritual but Spirituality cannot be entirely religious’

You will find many small interesting short stories which are really engaging and emphasize the content of chapter. There are many To do things given which will make the reader action oriented. There are many great  and famous quotes . The way book is formatted and designed is very structured, making it easy for reader to pick up one chapter at a time.

Language of the book is very easy. Cover page  is really beautiful . It shows a wheel with ten spokes which are the ten chapters of the book and eleventh being shown in Bolt Circle, Siddhi.  Title is very beautifully articulated to give a highlight of the whole book.

Must read for Spiritual journey

Book: Wheel of spirituality
Author: Dr. Vinay Bansal
Genre: Non-fiction
Rating: 3.8
My review:

In the chaos of this era where each path is drawn upon technology and people are busy conquering the world, we forget to live a peaceful life. And the same has been conveyed by the author in this tiny yet valuable book. The author had tried to teach us the importance of siddhi (ultimate state of peace) by sundering the book in ten chapters or more to say, ten spikes of the wheel of spirituality- SSamriddhi, Sahitya, Sanskars, Sambhavna, Sadhbhavna, Sakriyata, Seva, Samarpan, Satarkta, Sadhna, Siddhi.

The book dissects the concepts of spirituality in a very comprehensible way. examples provided in each chapter are very helpful in understanding their concepts. The author has done a great job by including real-life situations, whether it's from the tale of Akbar and Birbal or from the plot of the web series Kota factory which makes the book engrossing, especially for the people of this era who are socially driven and lost in their busy life schedule.

I learned quite a few abstractions which I would use in my further life to attain peace. The best thing about the book I found is that to do exercises given after each chapter to practice what you've learned. Those exercises are very helpful which you would enjoy practicing.

Although I found the book a little overexplained. Some examples in few chapters are irrelevant to the context provided with them. The concept of spirituality has not been conveyed more deeply. I found myself not connecting with the spiritual aspect of the book.

Yet to sum up the review I would like to conclude that this book is a perfect read for someone who is going through a low phase of life and have, not much time to indulge in reading something heavy. The book is great for a light spiritual read.

‘The Wheel of Spirituality’ by Vinay Bansal is a self-help book which will help the readers in understanding what the actual meaning of Siddhi is and how we can attain it. The book is divided into 11 chapters which show us the steps in which we can reach and attain Siddhi. When we hear the words ‘Spirituality’, ‘Meditation’ or ‘Siddhi’ the only thing that comes to our mind is going far away from the material world but through this book the author has told us how regularly following certain practice followed at home can also help us tremendously. We are normally running behind things which we don’t have instead of being grateful for the things which we have has been nicely explained through this book.

Things I loved about this book:
• Each chapter is explained using stories and some real life examples which makes it easy to grasp the concept
• Each chapter has a To Do which will help the readers to practically apply what they have learnt so far
• I loved the books and video recommendation given by the author which will help us to get a deep insight into the topics discussed. I will inculcating these in my next TBR
• Mythological Verses are explained and author has urged the readers to not just to read them but to understand the true gist of what they are trying to convey us

I must say that that this book will surely be helpful to all the readers and will understand the true meaning of happiness and how easy it is to look for happiness in small things and attain eternal peace.

I am glad that I came across this beautiful book and would surely recommend it to all.

A decent feasible and enlightening book

A book that illuminated the viewpoints in multiple dimensions for the known age-old scriptures or literature.

I took the time to finish off this book just to grasp each and everything bit by bit and discern it to the core of my heart and mind.
Whatever is mentioned in this book is so awesome and is very much useful to open up the doors towards spiritual enrichment and mostly towards the journey to siddhi.

The book is divided into chapters in such a way that it elects one word and elucidates with deeper depths and extensive elements with small sub-stories in between and exercises to practice.

Illustrated different concepts of Sanskaras, the essence of siddhi, the principle of Sambhav, the Significance of Satarkta, and many more things.

I almost highlighted a lot of lines in this book. One of the best books I read in 2020.

Few lines from this book:

1. “Ups and Downs are very important to keep us going because a straight line even in an ECG means we are not alive”.

2. In Science, what exists in us is Energy; In Spirituality, it's called a Soul.

Well, what is spirituality? Is it related to religion or God? Maybe not. Spirituality is primarily something that's solely based on our own self.
This book guides us with the ten different phases of life before we finally attain Siddhi.

The author very beautifully explains us about the different phases like Samriddhi, Sahitya, Sambhaav, Sanskar etc. All these are the baby steps towards achieving Siddhi. The author believes that once we attain the final stage, i.e. Siddhi, all these components will automatically become a part of our life. Every chapter contains a story, to make it easier for the readers to understand what the author is trying to convey.

The author also included some of the tasks at the end of every chapter, that will help us attain those components in our life.

This book is woven beautifully, with only the important points mentioned. So anyone who is looking out to explore more about Siddhi or the eternal peace of life, can pick this book up.

I want to wish luck to the author

What a lovely book on spirituality! I have read a couple of books on this very topic before but this one was completely different. It tunes in with science and spirituality. There are 11 chapters that are mentioned in the cover too. You are in for a treat as every chapter has a particular section of daily exercise. This book tells you how to attain Siddhi and the following ways are effective:- Samriddhi, Sahitya, Sanskars, Sambhaav, Sadbhavna, Sakriyta, Seva, Samarpan, Satarkta, Sadhna. Siddhi is the eternal peace of mind that everyone wants on this Earth. Everyone is fighting for peace but not attaining it. This book will help everybody. Our habits decide what we will achieve and this book states amazing way to abolish negative habits by various techniques. I'm trying to implement all these techniques in my daily life. The author has articulated the best way possible to attain Siddhi that we think is unattainable. The book is well-researched and comprehensive. A must read for all.

Many think that that spirituality is related to religion and for the theist but it is wrong anyone can become a spiritual person. The book is all about it. One can attain spirituality from where they are, doesn't need to get to Kailas and meditate.

We should spend time alone and understand ourselves first. To my knowledge, we know more about others than us and what we are, our positive and negative sides.

There are 11 chapters in these books. In each chapter, we will learn different things to practised and there is a task at end of each chapter.

The book is well written in a simple way. Anyone can read it. Each chapter has a story to make us understand what the chapter is trying to convey. We can find verses from different religious books mentioned in it which gives a valuable message.

Whatever we learn, we should practise mastering it.

Book: The Wheel Of Spirituality: A Joyful Journey To Siddhi
Author: Dr. Vinay Bansal
Pages: 71
Rating: 4/5

In this era, we often confuse the attainment of spirituality with religious beliefs. Religion can be spiritual, but spirituality in its self has a whole different range of meaning. This constant race for thirst for money had shaped all of us in a materialistic way. This eventually led to the destruction of the room inside our mind that enables us to explore our inner selves.

Samriddhi - This section taught us to be grateful for whatever we possess right now. They say “Nothing comes for free” but if we search deeply within our soul, we had received precious experiences during our journey of life. The gift of a healthy body, loving people, and nature with its resources should be counted as a blessing.

Sahitya - This lesson encapsulates the knowledge of the soul, the world, humanity, and the universe. Sahitya passed from one generation to another in form of books and stories. These valuable manuscripts imparted knowledge of true spirituality within ourselves.

Sanskars - Sanskars are the anchor of our life. This valued set of morals and thought process helps us to differentiate rights from wrong. Having the right combination of Sanskar ensures a better livelihood with clarity towards our destination.
Sambhaav - This section is very important for all of us as it guides us to attain a calm demeanor against all problems. It teaches us to have an equal reaction to every situation.

Sadbhavna - Most of our actions are directed either to please or oppose societal norms. In both cases, our actions are the reflection of society’s needs. The practice of Sadbhavna is about not letting societal pressure or other’s action disturb your mental peace.
Sakriyta - It teaches us the ability to understand our karma and helps us to perform accordingly.
Seva – It is the act of directing our action to serve others without any expectation. The act of giving is complete in itself
.
Samarpan- It portrays the stage where one accepts that everything that we are seeing or feeling is a part of a bigger plan. The Universe is divine and its energy is coursing through our body holds immense power.

Satarkta- It enlightens us regarding the true meaning of our existence.
Sadhna – It gives us insight regarding the waves that nurture our unconscious mind.
Siddhi- It means eternal peace; it is the destination of every mediator. Its attainment is the pursuit of every saint. It creates a state of complete bliss within oneself.

The Wheel of Spirituality is a fantastic self help guide to spiritual development and its so casual and relaxing to read.

Dr Vinay Bansal writes a poignant prose with quotes that are warm and encouraging and very much adhering to daily life. It's the correlation and comparison of the spiritual context to meager simpler things that serves as the major go getter in this book. Also makes the book stand out from the various self help books in the genre.

The book also acts as a handy journal with pages to fill in daily tasks and feel relaxed while reading the book. There are short stories by every chapter to keep you off from a lengthy prose. Overall, a well structured guide that is easy to read and completely serves the purpose.

The book is about how to attain a state of siddhi by the modern tools. In every chapter the author has linked the present things with the past I.e., story of akbar birbal and the story of saadhu and so many ,which creates interest among readers. The language used is also quite simple. And each and every chapter has some takeaways and to do list is provided. Overall the book is informative and helps to differentiate between what are needs and wants in life and to be happy with what u have.

Review: 'The wheel of Spirituality: A Journey To Siddhi' by Dr. Vinay Bansal is a perfect non-fiction book. The word 'Siddhi' means eternal peace and the author talks about how one can attain peace, satisfaction, and contentment in his/her life. The author proposes 10 steps through which one can attain the bundle of joy, happiness, and 'Siddhi' peace.

This book has 11 chapters: Samriddhi, Sahitya, Sanskars, Sambhaav, Sadbhavna, Sakriyta, Seva, Samarpan, Satarkta, Sadhna, and Siddhi. Each chapter ends with a To-Do List for the readers to follow. It can be read in one go as it is only 71 pages, but I suggest that you read it slowly and gradually.

Overall, it's a good book.

As the title suggests Wheel of Spirituality by Dr Vinay Bansal is a very short read that has different chapters each precisely describing a word from letter "S". Some chapters are like Sadbhavna, Sanskara, Sahitya and many more such beautiful words related to Spirituality.

Every chapter has a message and something value to add to your knowledge and life. As you read it gets interesting. The fact that Author has tried to mention different references either from series like Kota Factory, or about famous personality, and sometimes a short story definately helps you understand what he wants to portray.

What I like about the book-
~ Beautiful and a very thoughtful justifying cover page and title.
~ A short, easy and engaging narration.
~ Beautiful quotes related to the topic of each chapter at the beginning.
~ To Do activities at the end of each chapter are easy and helpful.

Overall if you are looking for short, helpful and to the point yet interesting spiritual self-help book then I'll surely recommend this one.

With scientific advancement we have started viewing spirituality as something backward or solely religious. Overlooking the fact that, Religion can be spritual but spirituality is not solely religious. But in fact Science and Spirituality aren't contradictory but are the are the two sides of the same coin. This book gives a taste of spirituality as the title suggests it ascend us to a journey towards Siddhi.

The Attainment of Siddhi is simply the Amalgamation of Our Soul with the Supreme Soul, simply a state complete bliss within ourselves that will give ultimate peace that is SIDDHI

THE WHEEL OF SPIRITUALITY ~by- Dr. VINAY BANSAL, beautifully potrays ten ways that will led us towards Siddhi
SIDDHI IS THE ULTIMATE STATE OF PEACE

✷)Samriddhi ~ Wrapped up in the emotion of scantiness caring so much about the notes in our pockets, that we easily forget about the life forces that drive us. We turn ignorant to the gifts that the benevolent nature gave us. Samriddhi is recognising them.

✷)Sahitya~ Over the course of history we have gathered utmost knowledge like that in the Vedic age which are passed to generations in forms of stories and Epics that encapsulates the knowledge of the soul, humanity and universe Enrichment of our soul through this will liberate us

✷)Sanskars~ It is in true sense it's the anchor of our life, our purpose and what shapes us into a person with a better livelihood and clearer conscience with equality being a significant concept of it

✷)Sambhaav~ Our feelings are one of the most unstable things through the practice of Sambhaav we can control it

✷)Sadbhavna~ In the era where we think more about what other says Sadbhavna is about not letting societal pressure or other's action distrub our mental peace

✷)Sankritya~ It is the condition of staying proactive. It's about fullfilling our commitment towards our work with utmost dedication , a ability to understand our Karma(action) and work accordingly

✷)Seva~ Compassion seems to lost its way in the world of compitition so much that at times we forgot that real happiness lies in the service of others

✷)Samarpan~ It is merely realising and accepting that in the plan of the cosmos, we are only a small part and everything happens for a reason

✷)Satarka~ 'The present itself is a present' Life isn't fair to anyone being alert about the present moment os what matters. How many times we faced unfairness, disgrace doesn't matters how we reacted to it does.
OUR RECTIONS ARE OUR ACTIONS THAT DETERMINES OUR KARMA

✷)Sadhna~ The wish to attain Spiritual Enlightenment and being aware of the fact that we are part of energy- our souls are a part of a massive centre of life- the Supreme Soul

✷)This book has very beautifully portrayed the journey towards Siddhi and the ten steps that should be taken. Lucid and beautiful writing narration with stories and inscriptions as example a perfect blend of deep knowledge and vocabulary making this book an absolute pleasure to read. Not a prechy kind of monotonous book but a fast paced well designed writing and I don't know if my review has done any justice to it. But the really justice will be done when the we will implement the preaching in our real life which require dedication and effort.
✷ I recommend this book to every reader and non-reader

The word 'Siddhi' originates from Sanskrit which often refers to achievement, accomplishment, attainment, perfection, completion, success & ultimately peace. It is the penultimate state of oneness with the nature & all existence. All the realms that has been created so far will sublime into the core our essence where the soul will get liberated onto a much greater states of matter. Siddhis are basically defined as extraordinary powers of the soul, developed through consistent meditation which awakens gradually & naturally through spiritual maturity over time.

Being a person born in a spiritual family, coming from a lineage of spiritualists - I possess immense knowledge concerning 'moksha' mentioned above. Hence, it becomes really essential for me to know & understand if the content given here has been thoroughly research or not. Whether it has been implemented correctly, because the idea isn't only just to provide accurate information, but also something beyond ordinary, an extraordinary approach to offer the readers something new to learn & relish for a lifetime. However, sadly I felt all such innovative creativity is missing here.

The concept of Siddhi is prevalent in all the religions in the world whether ancient or new as 'enlightenment.' Some realise it with the effusion of 'chakra' into the embodiment of being. The more advanced siddhis are said to include invisibility, levitation, invulnerability & superstrength abilities which are often associated with fairy tales & thus discarded accordingly.

Eight primary Siddhis are as follows:
Aṇimā: the ability to become smaller than the smallest, reducing one's body to the size of an atom or even become invisible.
Mahimā: the ability to become infinitely large, expanding one's body to an infinitely large size.
Laghimā: the ability to become weightless or lighter than air.
Prāpti: the ability to instantaneously travel or be anywhere at will.
Prākāmya: the ability to achieve or realize whatever one desires.
Īśiṭva: the ability to control nature, individuals, organisms, etc. Supremacy over nature and ability to force influence upon anyone.
Vaśiṭva: the ability to control all material elements or natural forces.
Kāma-avasayitva: satisfaction, suppression of desire, or (as Yatrakāmāvasāyitva) wishes coming true.
Furthermore, an additional one in this category is Garimā (per the Rāmānanda Sampradāya): the ability to become infinitely heavy and be immovable by anyone or anything.

How do you obtain the siddhis? Ancient gurus used to say that the siddhis can be attained after mastery of the last 3 steps of the eightfold path: the ability to simultaneously sustain concentration, meditation & samadhi at will.

What makes this book really bland is the fact that the author hasn't done anything new in terms of already existing content or infact brought out any creativity. The book is just an encyclopedia of what I've come across other content pertaining to the same topic. I'm definitely disappointed with the lack of proper guidance etched over here.

Writing style is normal. Language is okay. Narration is okay. A one-time read!

🌼 Book Review 🌼

● THE WHEEL OF SPIRITUALITY ●

The book by Dr. Vinay Bansal is a self-help guide for this generation to try to seek spirituality. The book is divided into 11 chapters, each being a tenet that leads us to the path of spirituality.

1. Samriddhi

'Samriddhi' means prosperity. This chapter deals with the art of being happy with and appreciative of the material abundance we have at our disposal and not strive for what we do not have.

2. Sahitya

'Sahitya' means literature. This chapter highlights the importance of literature in attaining spirituality. How studying literature and decoding its teachings enlightens our souls is the essence of this chapter.

3. Sanskars

'Sanskars' means sacraments. However, the chapter does not just highlight the literal definition of the word but also sheds considerable amount of light on the various connotations of the word, 'sanskars'. The direct connection of 'sanskars' with a person's overall personality is the salient feature of this chapter.

4. Sambhaav

'Sambhaav' means equanimity. The term essentially means maintaining composure at all costs and through every situation. This chapter elaborates on the principle and its essential attributes.

5. Sadbhavna

'Sadbhavna' means goodwill. The chapter enunciates the need to have goodwill towards one's own self, not letting the words and actions of others affect one's calm and peace.

6. Sakriyta

'Sakriyta' means activity. The necessity of being active, performing our duties and fulfilling our responsibilities is the crux of this chapter.

7. Seva

'Seva' means service. The chapter highlights the importance of selfless service - materialistic or non-materialistic, to others.

8. Samarpan

'Samarpan' means to dedicate. However, this chapter delves into the art of letting go - letting go of the situations we have no control over and dedicating ourselves to a 'higher power' or any 'Energy' that we believe in.

9. Satarkta

'Satarkta' means alertness. This chapter echoes the need for us to be conscious of our purpose of existence and being mindful of our thoughts.

10. Sadhna

'Sadhna' means meditation. The chapter has been dedicated to the art of meditation and its benefits. The chapter has discussed at length how meditation helps us to have some control over our conscious and subconscious minds.

11. Siddhi

'Siddhi' means attainment. This chapter is the summation of the entire book. 'Siddhi' is the ultimate goal and it is the attainment of the eternal peace.

The book is very enriching. It does not get preachy at any point and the 10 S's that have been mentioned, if one masters, may accomplish 'Siddhi' (bliss and happiness like no other). The contemporary examples along with age-old moral stories keep the book fresh and relevant. The valuable lessons and principles discussed in the book, when applied to our lives, can definitely give them a new meaning and a fresh perspective. It is a good read. Highly recommended.

Happy reading!

The act of giving is complete in itself.

This book offers many valuable lessons that upon practice can nurture a calm and pleasant mindset. The author represented each lesson with illustrative examples that engaged till its last page. The author also further suggested videos and articles that might help beginners to start this blissful journey to discover a new meaning of spirituality. The author conducted a lot of research to craft this masterpiece. I would like to offer my thanks to the author for crafting this wonderful book that guides us to our true essence of spirituality.
