A collection of essays; all previously published in 2000's.
The writer's tone and attitude is sharp and critical toward herself. Smiled whenever her sharp tone seems to be melting when she mentions about her grandchildren. The essays are not organized chronically; the essays seem to be written during the writer's 40's to 70's. Wide range of topics, there are quite a few pieces on being parents, joys and pains of living. Intense period of her grief after the death of her adult son comes out in multiple works. Reading her works made me surprised how much thing have changed within one person's life span (her childhood in 1930's to now which is not quite 100 year span).
