Cupid has had enough of Valentine's day and this year is proving to be more than she can handle when she bumps into sexy, surly Wolf who blames her for all of his romantic failures. When the meeting between them has proven to have left them thinking about the other, both too stubborn to open their hearts and to the feelings that are right in front of them.
Wolf’s dislike for Cupid will push him into denial, and as for Cupid, she will do anything in her power to get Wolf out of her head. The only thing Wolf is sure of is that no good can come from all of this. He vows not to let Cupid near him with her bow, there's only one problem.
Can he avoid falling for Cupid himself? And will Cupid be able to get her work done when she gets Wolf’s name on her list, or will she succumb to her growing feelings for him?
Fantasy Romance, PNR, Dark Retellings, and Dark romance author Kindra White is a mother of three and wife. Born on the island of Aruba, she is an avid reader who took the plunge and started creating her own books to help break the stigma that women face. She currently lives in Enschede, The Netherlands, where when she’s not bringing readers more books she enjoys baking a killer cheesecake and taking care of her family.
Carys aka Cupid has become thoroughly jaded thanks to the commercialization of Valentine’s Day. Hallmark and candy companies have totally squeezed every ounce of love from her reason for being and she’s over it.
You know who else is over it?
Rhys has had his heart broken one too many times and he’s decided Cupid is to blame. Even after an accident prone meet cute and he discovers the beauty before him is Cupid herself he wants her to leave him be once and for all.
This was such a cute little holiday tale. I love that Kindra wrote a series celebrating every holiday and the beginning packs quite a punch and readies me for next holiday inspired read.
This is the first book of the golden crest series. This book is amazing. This book is set around during the month of Valentine's day. It is a unique story and such creative for the author.
This story has some twist in what we thing a cupid to be like. This is a sweet short romance story that i love.
Carly is determine and quiet sassy person. She against valentine's and spending money on chocolate, heart shape cookies, all thing valentines even though she is Cupid.
On the other head Rhys hates the cupid and what has happen to past relationship. Rhys wants nothing to do with the cupid and wants to say as far away from the cupid as he possible can. Rhys feels that the cupid is the one responsible for her past relationship that has failed.
The book is sweet romance, enemies to lovers story. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a quick sweet romance story.
I thoroughly enjoyed the man characters in this short story. Poor cupid and the stereotypical Valentine’s day traditions were too funny and very enjoyable. And Rhyes the wolf was enjoyable to read. For a short story this was well done and entertaining and worth the read for sure. Don't miss the first in the series
A quick novella by Kindra White with interesting character development, unique character makeup with one lead being Cupid and the other being a wolf. A unique story, and nice tale of love and destiny.
Kindra - you have a beautiful way of telling a story and a great imagination!
The Cupid and the Wolf, is the 1st installment in “The Goldencrest Pack Holiday Series.” Goldencrest is a town ruled by wolves where they live in peace with humans and all supernatural beings around them. And with so many creatures out there, why not Cupid as a great way to start a Series!?
The holiday is Valentine’s day, and we get a Cupid sick of it! That’s where the fun begins… Carys is a bold, hardworking cupid with a biting personality, and sick and tired of all the commercialization around the date she holds dear, taking away the true meaning of the celebration: Love! You laugh out loud with her snarky comments about the traditions and decorations going on in her town while she does her love matches, until she meets Rhys, a fun but broken-hearted wolf, blaming her, the Cupid, for his misfortunes in the love field, and she gives him a piece of her mind.
It’s an entertaining, clean, slow burn novella. A very sweet story just like the holiday itself, and I loved every minute of it. The characters are engaging, the plot well built and smooth, but just like the other installments in the series, I wished their story was a bit longer. I know the point is to keep it short. It’s a novella after all, but man, the characters are enjoyable to read! They have such lovable and fun personalities, making you want more.
All books are standalone, but I do recommend reading the entire Goldencrest Series since you can have a sneak peek of all the characters in each story. It was a great read!
Thank you for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
I liked this book. This is the first book of the Goldencrest pack and this story is about Rhys and Carrys. Rhys is the wolf who is so disappointed in the Cupid and blames her for his relationship. On the valentine's day Rhys unfortunately bumps into Carrys who turned out to be the Cupid on whom Rhys is so angry. Now Carrys is determined to make a match for Rhys even though he didn't want this. This is a short book, actually a novella that I finished in one hour maybe. I've read it last month. That time I finished four books in three days. Okay so I liked this book, their attraction towards each other and the little fight they did at the beginning of the book. It was so funny😂 Rhys was blaming Carrys that she ruined his life, his love life by matching him with the wrong person. He is too adamant to agree that the problem lies within him. I'm looking forward to read more books of the author.
I still don’t understand why Rhys was so upset about the breakup, he had to know she wasn’t his or Davies real mate!!!! Anyways…. Davies is a quiet one, we don’t see much of him, but I do like his character. Davies made me giggle 😂
Cute premise, but this was just very poor writing. I was enjoying it in its first few pages, but it quickly began to feel like I was reading a short story written by a middle schooler.
For example, here’s a quote where Cupid introduces herself:
“I shoot them with my arrows of love, as I am Cupid, but you can call me Carys.”
When I saw the title I wondered what Cupid was doing with a wolf. This story is sweet. So worth the read. I love how frustrated each character get with each other to only find out it is because they are destined to be together.

💞 Cupid has had enough of Valentine's day and this year is proving to be more than she can handle when she bumps into sexy, surly Wolf who blames her for all of his romantic failures.
💞 A quick read that left me wanting more. It was a classic enemies to lovers romance.
💞 Cupid as a woman was a great twist on the holiday. The fact she was more than a little cheeky made it such a fun read.
A sweet novella over too soon. I enjoyed the sparks that flew from the two main characters. Both are jaded with love, yet find they are a perfect match for each other.
