Aaron has a problem - The enticing white powder would make me feel amazing—warm, tingly, alert. - and all he needs is a Daddy to love him and make him better. Well, its not sooooo simple, but this is the plot.
I was somewhat hoping this book would be similar to the first in this series, but it couldn't be more different. The only similarities are the secondary characters.
Regardless of that minor niggling, which isn't really a bad thing, it's a good book. Very nicely written, with a simple plot. The focus is on the characters and how they find each other. Initially intrigued by each other, it is far from easy for Aaron to admit that he needs help and to accept it from Red. And for Red it is, in keeping with the cliché, not so easy to accept that he is not as straight as he thought.
This GFY or Bi awakening, however, is kept short as a problem and doesn't drag on for pages, so just a little melodrama on that front. It is also not clearly defined at the end, as what Red views himself, but that's not necessary anyway. I think it's better that way anyway. He just becomes Aaron's Daddy and that's all there is to it.

I groaned. "If you keep calling me boy and saying I'm a good boy and kissing me like that?"
I shivered and licked my lips. "You're gonna have to bend me over something and fuck my brain cells back into operating correctly."
Red barked out a laugh. "The shit that comes out of your mouth, Aaron. I swear."
🤩🤩🤩

Definitely a very good daddy-kink story, no frills and not too much kink or sex. Well balanced.

Sadly, I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first. This story felt rushed and lacking in depth and relationship growth. There was a lot going on, a number of serious issues are raised, but it never really got beyond the surface on any of them.

Red is assigned to watch over Aaron. Red isn't thrilled about babysitting Aaron, an up and coming social media star (I'm not sure what the "new number one fan" was in the blurb since there was no stalking or aggessive fan storyline, perhaps it alluded to the character that helped him get where he was and wanted him to do more, but that really didn't ring as an apt description of that storyline, which also came to a pretty easy end). Once they start spending 24/7 together, it seemed like the story just ran through a checklist of plot points at breakneck speed. The story itself only takes place over a couple of weeks, with the new relationship solidifying over a few days. Red goes from straight vanilla, to falling for Aaron and becoming his Daddy in about a week. He questions it at first, but doesn't seem to have any real issues once they start hooking up. Aaron has had drug issues in the past. He slips a couple of times in about a week but is easily pulled back and it's done.

The book isn't that long to begin with and there really didn't seem to be time to cover everything that is brought up with enough depth to have me emotionally invested. The characters themselves were fine, but I missed out on the deeper connection. The book also needed a good proofread as there were a number of wrong, missing or extra words throughout.

So one hit and one miss for me with this series, but I'll still be moving on to the next story.

Book safety, content warnings, and tropes & tags down below.

It was strange having sex in a new way at my age, but I wanted to try. For him.

Another good book by Skyler Snow. I really enjoyed the MCs interactions. They were snarky with each other, and not like the ‘typical’ daddy/boy dynamic you often see. Aaron is a service submissive, so he got as much joy out of taking care of his daddy as the other way around. I loved that part.

Red smiled and I melted. What would it take to have that smile directed at me all of the time? What would I need to do to hear him call me a good boy again? And why the hell did I want that just as much as I wanted to choke him?

It seemed like Aaron had struggled with drug abuse in the past (cocaine), but we didn’t really learn a lot about it. It is definitely present in the book, but I guess I expected it to be a bigger part, because I kept waiting for the drugs to be a bigger problem. Not that it necessarily needed to be a huge part of the book, as there were other important things going on, but I guess I got it in my head that Aaron was going to be quite heavily addicted.

Overall though, I thought those bits was handled well and with care, and a good example for how hanging around with the wrong crowd can drag you down, even if you don’t actually want to partake.

Nodding, Aaron glanced up at me. "You're not so bad. I mean, you're a jerk, but you really have a soft side, huh?" I pressed a finger to his lips. "Don't ever say that shit out loud again."

Help me Daddy

Poor Aaron, he was so used to having some to take care of and someone to take care of him. He was burning himself out, and then Red showed up. Red made me mad a little bit in the start, because I don't think HR really saw the real Aaron, just what he expected.

Great story

I absolutely loved this book. You don’t have to read the first book in this series but there are some characters that pop up from the first story and from other stories. This was such a great read that once I started it I didn’t want to put it down. I loved how Aaron and Red took care of each other especially since Red was so new to everything. GFY, bodyguard and client, Daddy/boy, this book has all this and more. Loved it so much.

This is a terrific series that is getting more and more fun as it goes along. While there is some conflict the books are not that high angst without being sickly sweet. The balance in these books is one of the things that I like best. What I mean by that is the plot, the pacing, the conversation vs action amount are all very well plotted to keep interest in the story. The books also have Skyler Snow’s interesting characters. Even the side characters come across as more than two dimensional. Even this book, that features a male main character who has always thought of himself as straight but ends up falling for a guy, doesn’t feel forced. We hear a lot of Red’s thoughts about this and how he ends up feeling like he is okay with whomever he loves no matter what sex they are because it is Aaron that he loves not what is in his pants. I like that there are more romances like this being written that shed light on the continuum that is sexual attraction and not black or white. There is a lot of grey around. Can’t wait to read the next book.

Unfortunately, this one didn’t work for me. There wasn’t a lot of character development or development in the Romance department. Red comes barreling into Aaron’s life when asked to look after him by his boss and Aaron’s brother. He crosses a lot of boundaries from the start. He claims he’s straight, but his actions scream otherwise and his jealous behavior didn’t come off as charming, protective Daddy, but a little problematic. I also had a hard time buying that Red would so seamlessly roll into the Daddy role without really noticing. I was also hoping for a little more Daddy kink.

Will I read the next one? Possibly.

Oh man where to start with this one. I am a little bit worried that I've not seen any reviews mention how many red flags Red waves. He is like a walking talking red flag. This one centers around Aaron who is a stripper / pole dancer / rising social media star who has some emotional baggage of his own and is turning to drugs and self-destruction. His brother Fitch, is engaged to the owner of a security firm and hires a bodyguard, red, to watch out for Aaron. Except Fitch doesn't ask Aaron. There's no sort of boundaries or consent or any sort of agreement that Aaron needs a bodyguard or / babysitter whatever. Red essentially barges into Aaron's apartment, man handles him and starts living with him? It's was extreme and there was a lot of issues about physical contact and boundaries that were just broken. I'm really concerned that this isn't a romance novel and it is depicted as protective and caring?!

Anyway, if you just bypass all of the red flags that Red displays when he first starts protecting Aaron, there's also the fact that Red is insanely jealous and so jealous that he physically pulls Aaron out of situations where he is being flirted with or in close contact with another man. This is all well Red as saying that he is straight. Red has not a single claim on Aaron and if I were Aaron I would have been pissed as fuck to have someone bargain and attempt to control my life without my consent. But apparently here it's romantic 🤮

The singular thing I think this book does well is talk about emotional baggage and striving for better communication. Both Aaron and Red fuck up a lot in regards to this and they do eventually learn to get the shit together, but I have a very hard time seeing this as romantic when the reality of the situation is that this is the second book in the series, and the behaviors that Red portrays towards Aaron in this book are the same behaviors, minus the physical and sexual abuse, that the villain / ex boyfriend of Layne portrays in the first book. Somehow it has been twisted into a protective caring daddy mode here instead of a possessive jealous asshole.

Anyway this one is highly problematic and I'm not a fan. Am I still going to continue this series because I want to get to the book with a fat main character? Yes. There's only one more book before I get to that one and we'll see if it's any better than this piece of garbage.

Aaron is doing his best, but is lost in the perils of money, drugs, and possible fame. Red is the reluctant bodyguard hired by his brother and his brother’s Daddy to protect him on his trip to LA. Red is clearly not super in touch with himself, because as much as he tells himself he “isn’t into” the Daddy dynamic, or guys, his idea of being a bodyguard is manhandling his new charge into cleaning his room within two seconds of seeing him, without caring that 1) his client isn’t even dressed and 2) spanking is not really a standard, or acceptable, form of communication between employer and employee, nor is “boy” the default term for referring to that client. Aaron is an interesting character, well-rounded and complex, with insecurities and strengths and a good grasp of who he is and what turns him on. Does he have great coping skills? No. But he is, for all intents and purposes a relatable person. Red initially feels more like a collection of traits, or tropes, than he does a fully developed individual. He’s got the grumpy thing going, the pushy thing going, the smothering, overprotective vibe that annoys Aaron and turns him on. What he doesn’t seem to have is a lot of interiority-- He rightly asserts that he has the emotional IQ of a “kumquat,” and he doesn’t question his own actions or even think before he speaks (case in point, asking Aaaron “Are you like your brother...A little or whatever” which is just hugely inappropriate and a real breach of Aaaron’s brother’s privacy). As the novel progresses, however, we get to see more of who Red is, and the reasons he doesn’t always (or ever) think before he speaks or really process his feelings very well. He ends up being much more sympathetic than I would have predicted at the beginning, and it’s nice to see how he and Aaaron figure out that they could be exactly what the other needs most. I really like these two together, and their story is the perfect blend of sweet and hot.

I think these books are spin-offs of another series but not sure. Aaron's brother Fitch is married to Diego who runs a security company of some sort. When Aaron, a YouTuber/Infuencer (I did enjoy seeing this given the prevalence of it in today's culture) who Fitch fears is getting out of control and may be falling back into drug addiction. They hire straight bodyguard/friend Red to basically babysit him as he's going to LA for a convention of creators and they fear he'll fall into drug use.

Needless to say Aaron is pissed, he's been looking after himself and his brother since he was 12. I did enjoy the prickly interactions between Aaron and Red. I also appreciated that drug use was shown on-page. Too often it seems readers may want their characters to be previously flawed (you can be a recovered addict) but they have to be perfect after they find their true love. Red's acknowledgement that he's not quite straight was covered some, but I have to say he adapted pretty quickly.

I have a feeling that the lure of the fast life and fame and being an influencer can lead to bad things for those who are not grounded and there are lots of creeps out there looking to prey on the vulnerable. So I enjoyed it but I kept thinking I should have known more about who Red and Fitch were.

Diego assigned Red to watch much younger Aaron to keep him safe, out of trouble and clean of drugs. It should have been easy but Aaron is as wild as he is beautiful and Red finds himself protecting him for more reasons than his paycheck. Aaron is a stripper turned social media star and having wanted the limelight for a long time he wonders why he feels so hollow. He now has new friends and new problems and all of the weight on his shoulders plus he has to deal with Red who is cranky, bossy, hot as hell and his actions just scream Daddy at him. Can this Daddy tame the boy who is out of control and can Red keep Aaron safe when old habits resurface and threaten to swallow him?

Trigger warning - addiction and substance abuse.

I enjoyed this story of the ambitious but lonely boy who was under so much pressure whether that be caused by himself or external forces. I loved Red who tried to fight the attraction that in the end he just couldn't hide from. I was able to feel the pressure that Aaron was under and could empathise with his loss of restraint. I was thrilled when they both finally found a way to be safe, happy and together. Easy to read, feel and understand. Mature content in this MM story with BSDM-like DDLB content.

This Daddy/boy, GFY, lust/hate love story gave me all the feels, and it deserves all the stars.

Stubborn and feisty model/dancer Aaron is a bit of a mess and secretly longs for a Daddy to care for, and cranky and stern bodyguard Red secretly longs for someone to love. Little did they know, when - to their mutual annoyance - Red is assigned to look after Aaron, that they'd find those missing pieces in each other.

Aaron and Red are imperfect people who make bad decisions and mistakes, feel deeply, and are both lonely and a little lost in different ways. Once their emotional walls fully tumble down, their love and connection is so sweet, caring, playful, hopeful, hot...I could go on. And all of the teasing and banter between them is delightful.

This book works as a standalone, but for some secondary character background I'd encourage reading the first book in this series (which is also fantastic) and the author's crossover "Dear Daddy, Please Punish Me" (which features Aaron's brother Fitch and Red's boss Diego, who are a couple). I received an advance reading e-copy of this book and have left this honest review voluntarily. (Also read in KU.)

Aaron is chasing fame. He grew up always protecting his younger brother and now it is his time to focus on himself. But when he gets mixed up with the wrong crowd, he is not sure how to pull himself out of the dark corners he now finds himself in. Red is tasked with protecting Aaron from himself when Aaron heads to LA for work. Red is very stuck in his ways. He figures at his age, he knows what he wants and just hasn’t found it yet. Until he meets Aaron. Suddenly, he finds himself wanting to protect Aaron and take care of him in ways that exceed the job description. But Aarons wants a Daddy and Red is not sure he can give Aaron what he wants. Aaron is the free spirit, devil may care. While Red is the overprotective, rule maker and follower.

This story explores the Daddy/boy dynamic and how two people from very different walks of life and come together to create a relationship that they both need. Skyler Snow continues the Atlanta Daddies series with a heart wrenching story of Aaron and Red and their journey together. I recommend reading book 1 first, Broken Boy, because some characters reappear but it is not necessary.

Two men with tumultuous pasts. Scars (mental and physical) led them down dangerous roads. One has survived and the other is teetering on the fence.
Aaron is a caretaker with no one to care for. After years of taking care of his younger brother as a substitute parent he’s lost as his brother has found love and a fiancé. He tries to put everything into becoming famous. Pole dancing in clubs and on social media seem to attract a dangerous crowd that begin leading him back down the path to destruction.
Enter Red. A battle worn POW who has ghosts of his own. Aaron’s brother and fiancé hire Red to ‘babysit’ Aaron to keep him out of trouble. Red never expected to be attracted to a man, much less a brat.
These two take us on a journey from Atlanta to LA. A roller coaster of emotions keep you enthralled with this pair. You will root for their HEA!
This can be read as a stand alone, however, characters from previous books do show up making guest appearances.
Skyler Snow never disappoints! Weaving worlds where characters seem real and have readers anxiously waiting for the next chapter and the next book in the series.

***Spoilers here and there***

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2022...

Not much I actually want to say about this book so this should be a quick written review.

I just know I want to say that Red I never knew he was straight. Because I didn’t start with book one when I read this series I went from book 5 and 4. 1 and 3 and than book 2. So with that being said it’s interesting to learn that it took him being around Aaron and seeing Aaron for him to figure out he wasn’t all the way straight.

I always say can’t no one make you gay. You always had it in you to begin with. I felt like Aaron and Red was good for each other because they both made each other happy.

Red got Aaron away from whatever his name is 😂 it starts with a C. He’s not that important omg I’m dead. Because I can’t remember his name. But anyways he got him away from D*ckhead and that made Aaron life way better. Because that boy wasn’t his true friend and he was about to ruin Aaron whole life. I was glad that Fitch looked out for his brother and Aaron got himself together. With the help from Red.

Loving the Atlanta Daddies

I really enjoyed Red and Aaron. The story of Red finding his inner Daddy and struggling to come to terms with his new feelings for Aaron seemed very real and not forced. Red has always thought he was a straight man so Aaron turned his world upside down. I felt his struggle. He certainly made a misstep or two, but that would be expected.

Aaron was an absolute brat in the first part of this book. He was churlish and childish, but that’s how brats roll. He definitely needed a Daddy to tame him. He and Red grew into their relationship together and I enjoyed reading it.

There were a couple of parts that I took issue with but I don’t want to spoil those parts for anyone so I will say that I felt like some more communication could have been had throughout the book. There were some spelling and grammatical errors, but those were easily overlooked. While I look forward to Jase and Asher’s story, I desperately want Carter to have a story. I feel like there is definitely one there. Skylar Snow is becoming a go to author for me.

I loved Beautiful Boy by Skyler Snow. It's the second book in the Atlanta Daddies series. Aaron and Red are great characters. Aaron is a pole dancer and is working on being famous, but his brother, Felix, is worried about the influence some of his new friends are having on his life and is afraid that he will start using drugs again. They hire Red to be his babysitter and make sure that he eats and stays healthy. I loved how they interact together, starting out as hating each other and then falling in love. I loved that Red isn't trying to stop Aaron from doing what he loves to do and ends up supporting him in his endeavors. I loved Aaron's bratty attitude and how he's a service submissive, and Red turns out to be his perfect Daddy. I also loved getting to see more of Felix and Diego from the first book in the series. I eagerly await the next book in the series.

Great Series

This second book was not as angst ridden as book 1 but it was still a great book. You can't go wrong with a Skyler Snow book. Red is the bodyguard assigned to watch over Aaron, a stripper turned media star. Aaron has trouble with a former drug addiction and seems to associate with the wrong people as he navigates the world of social media. Diego, Red's boss, assigns him to keep Aaron on the right path but Red is a grumpy ex Marine who doesn't want a glorified babysitting job. He agrees to do it as Fitch is Aaron's baby brother and little to Diego. I wanted to punch Cal in his ugly face. I don't know why Cal just didn't do the stuff he was trying to get Aaron to do himself. He was also on social media and making videos but he was more into making a buck off of Aaron than being a true friend. There is a 3rd book coming soon featuring Jase and Asher, Aaron's best friends. Of course Skyler gives us a HEA and an epilogue.

❤A great start and Aaron and Red dont see eye to eye and really dont like eavh other. But Aaron is stuck with Red until they return back ftom LA.
Oh a bad brat who did drugs was in the hands of Daddy Red although he didnt know it yet at the start.
I read this as a standalone book with this being book 2 in the series. Both of these guys have a great chemistry going between them I could feel. Aaron was someone who looked after people he cared for and he's perfect for Red. But a little trouble along the way and things get rocky. This is a really great book to read once I started reading I didnt stop kinda book. Red's story has some baggage to thats not pretty but makes you feel for him. Told with both povs for a gay for you theme with a great ending.

Aaron 29 years wanted his dream to be a famous and things where starting to happen for him. A big break in LA had Aaron excited to go with Cal.
Red was a straight former marine and now had a job protecting Aaron for his brother.

With his boss and his fiancé being concerned about Aaron, Red is assigned to watch over him, and he reluctantly agrees to do so.
Aaron is a powerful dancer who is staring to find his footing in the media world whilst also slipping into old habits.

When Red barges into his world, it’s a clash of wills. But, with the more time they spend together, the more Red sees the boy beneath as Aaron brings to the surface a side to Red he never experienced before.

This was more of a GFY type of a trope with elements of a daddy/ boy dynamic woven into the story. I liked how Red was able to identify Aaron’s triggers and ground him, whilst Aaron was able to give Red the nurturing he lacked in his life. There are topics in this book that can be triggers for some.
An engaging read overall.

Red is a body guard and Aaron is in need of one at least according to his brother Fletcher.

Aaron started at a young age taking are of everyone. Taking care of his mom and brother after his dad died. He now want a life of his own but doesn't know how to get there.Red did the military thing and paid a heavy price with his body when he was captured and Torture for information but he was saved but has been restless ever. Since. So these two were brought together. Red finds himself drawn to Aaron but he not understanding why since he straight. But there something about Aaron the calls to Red. They both a lot of baggage to go through so they can come out on the other side better for each other.

LA bodyguard

Red is assigned to Aaron to make sure he doesn't do anything crazy on his trip to LA. While they both hate the arrangement they slowly start to see they are good for each other.

Red is a straight ex army man who works with Diego who is the daddy to Arron's brother Fitch. The grumpy bodyguard gets more than he bargained for with Aaron and all that his rise to fame comes with.

The relationship does develop rather quickly in the book as Aaron is at the conference for less than a week. But I completely bought into the relationship and found them to be super cute especially with how Red started to show how much he cared for Aaron. A really cute read and I love a good awakening read

This was a little weird for my taste. The whole daddy-boy vibe got a little cringey. If it was just a May-December relationship between two men, I probably would have enjoyed it a little more. The story itself was a good one, but the book falls into the trap of repetitive sex scenes and excessive talk and psychobabble in between the sex scenes. The early part of the book was more action-oriented, focusing on what characters were doing. The writing style reminded me a little bit of Jay Bell, and that focus on action makes a more interesting book that focusing on thoughts or discussions. I would say this author has quite a bit of talent and plenty of skill, but I will not seek out any more of his books since it seems like he is writing in a genre that does not interest me.

This second book in the Atlanta Daddies series was well written and entertaining with some seriousness to it, as one of the protagonists, a recovering drug addict, has two relapses during the story due to being manipulated by a "friend." Somewhat unsurprisingly, the other protagonist is also a recovering drug addict who had been clean for several years. Anyhow, I liked how Red whose job it was to guard Aaron ended up falling for him when he'd never been attracted to a man before, let alone been in a Daddy/boy (no age play) dynamic before. Bisexual awakening stories can be really interesting and entertaining, and this one didn't disappoint me at all. Anyway, I really enjoyed this novel and look forward to seeing where the series goes from here.
