From bestselling author and editor Brooke Vitale and renowned illustrator Pat Corrigan (Toe Truck Joe), this the story of a boastful construction vehicle who thinks he can do it all.
“Here I am. Make way, make way! Digger’s here to save the day!
“No job’s too big, no job’s too small, for the best construction truck of all.”
Children of all ages will love the story of Digger, the construction vehicle who thinks he can lift like a crane, carry like a forklift, dump like a dump truck, and push like a bulldozer. But, when he tries to do everyone else’s jobs, he creates a crazy chaotic construction site! The simple rhyming text tells a silly story, while gently introducing the concept of cooperation, as well as the message that the best way to show up in the world is as yourself!

This book came in the mail yesterday, and immediately my 3-year-old said he wanted to read it. Every time we would finish, he said he wanted me to read it again. After about ten times in a row, I told him I needed to get some water first, and he told me “No, ten more times first.” Basically, I read this book to him about 20 times in a row.
When we went to FaceTime family yesterday, he kept showing them the book, telling them how much he loved it, and read it to them himself. Essential, this is his new favorite book.
This book is about Digger believing that he is the best at everything, so he tried to do all the other construction truck vehicles’ jobs. But once he is doing them, he realizes that the other vehicle is better at it then he is. He gets discouraged until the other vehicles tell him that he is great at his job and by working together, they can get everything done.
The thick pages of this book make it perfect for babies and toddlers. I highly suggest this book for children 0-6 who love construction vehicles or things that go.
