Ruby Falls #2

One More Time

Rate this book
Back in her hometown of Ruby Falls, Aria Heart is determined to find herself and the happiness that has always felt just out of reach. Something that would be a lot easier to do if her parents weren’t so close by, reminding her just why she left town as soon as she could, and if the house she just purchased wasn’t already giving her problems.

Just when Aria starts to second guess her decision, Tide Goodman knocks on her door and shoves his way under her defenses. Is it possible that the happiness she’s been searching for is attached to a man like Tide, the guy she crushed on in high school who didn’t even seem to know she existed? A man with an adorable daughter and baggage of his own?

In order to find out, she’ll have to put everything, including her heart, on the line one more time.

I am a proud fan of ARR and I absolutely love her insta-love alpha male stories.

This is more of a novella but it felt like a complete novel.

Aria moves back to her hometown after divorcing her husband. She buys a fixer upper and Tide happens to be the contractor that comes when she has a plumbing issue. I loved Tide. I loved how he staked his claim early and just eased himself into her life. I loved how he was a great parent and how he interacted with others. I however didn’t connect that well with Aria. I couldn’t figure her out. She was not deep and her character was not drawing.

It was a sweet story. I would recommend to read if you want a quick romantic read. No BOOM here (ARR fans know what I’m talking about) but still a cute story.

One More Time is book two in the Ruby Falls duet by Aurora Rose Reynolds. I have to admit that it’s the cover of THIS book that drew me to this duet in the first place. And while the first book was maybe a little bit swoonier than this one, I absolutely adored the resolutions in this book the most! That might not make sense to you but if you read it, it will. In both books, Aurora gives us amazing epilogues reaching far into the futures of the couples, giving us a wonderful look at their futures. I love epilogues!!

Aria Heart is twenty six years old and is a successful author. After her divorce, she moves back to Ruby Falls, the same town her parents live in, to start a new life. She does not have a good relationship with her parents and them being in the same city as she is will be more of a hindrance than anything. But Ruby Falls is the only place that feels like home and as soon as she saw the house she purchased, she knew it was where she needed to be.

Tide Goodman is a single father to his adorable little girl, Olivia. Tide has joint custody of his daughter and a little bit of a contentious relationship with his ex, depending on if he gives her what she wants when she wants it. Tide’s life revolves around little Olivia as it should. That is, until the night he was called to check out an emergency at someone’s house. That’s the night everything changed.

“This is my life, and I’m choosing to live it exactly how I want.”

I loved Aria and Tide both! Aria had had a pretty crappy childhood and also marriage. But even with all of that, she was so sweet, such a positive person. And Tide was amazing, all alpha, protective and wonderful! He knew from the start that he wanted her but he took his time, letting her know little by little that she was important, that she was beautiful, and that she was his! Both of them had issues with their exes, and Aria with her parents. But they rose above it all. And, in this case, I believe it is their goodness that finally got through to “some” of the people causing them problems.

I adored both of these books, and read them both in just a couple of days. So obviously, I didn’t want to put them down. I live for this stuff. I’ve read a bunch of Aurora’s books but I need to read more of them. I have plenty on my to read list and hopefully will get to them soon. But for now, I hope you will pick these up if you haven’t already. And that you enjoy them as much as I did.

Tide already had me swooning as a side character in Falling Fast so I was so ready to get his own story and see just how panty-melting he could be. And guys, when I say it was worth the wait I mean it. I absolutely loved Tide in this book and I really adored how good of a father he was.

I also loved Aria and I felt like we saw a lot of growth from her in this book. She worked so well with Tide and didn't let his character steal the show at all. Together they had so many cute moments and of course there was the usual ARR brand of Alpha-ness that I am obsessed with.

so 'One More Time' kinda refers to me and this author.
Hope this one pans out better...

nah, kinda forgettable really.

Anyways, Aria knew Tide in high school but they moved in different circles. And nothing more is said about it, so why make them know each other at all?
She moves back to town for no particular reason, after her divorce. There she has an emergency when her washing machine overflows somehow wrecking her living room ceiling before she realizes it? But the kicker is that the H's name when he shows up to fix it, is 'Tide'. I sh*t you not.
And that's about it really. There's a few awkward scenes with her ex and her sleazy mother and his ex.
It's a nice easy read with low angst but not particularly interesting either.
I did like that she made better money than he did, and that he was just a regular guy and not a billionaire.

safety is fine

One More Time is the second standalone book in Aurora Rose Reynolds' Ruby Falls Series. After finishing and devouring Falling Fast and 'falling' hard for Colton and Gia, I could not wait for Tide's story. This is a light, feel good romance. It is an addicting story that I could not put down.

Aria has returned to her hometown in Tennessee. She is divorced and starting over. She has purchased a new home in need of repairs, and Tide is the contractor assigned to the job. Tide is Aria's high school crush and from the moment they meet their attraction is instant.

Tide's daughter Olivia was adorable. I loved her in Falling Fast and fell for her even more in this book. Tide is the perfect swoony hero. He is an attentive single dad, has a great relationship with his parents, is best friends with Colton. I fell for him immediately.

Aria I struggled to connect with intially but I did warm up to her in the end and I adored how their story concludes with the sweetest epilogue.

This story is low-angst and it has everything I have come to love from this author. Humor, sexy banter, passionate characters, friendship and love.

It's been awhile since I read a ARR book and the cover is what made me 💦🔥💦💦💦💦💙 lord anyone know that Cover models name?? Because dang he FINEEEE!!! I didn't read the first couple in this series.

Aira is back home and settling into her new place she's recently divorced and trying her best to stay clear away from her parents who she isn't on friendly terms with, but her homecoming is a mess when some water ruins her living room and brings a old face into her life Tide they went to high school together but they never ran with the same crowd. Their relationship is on the fast track on being friends first Tide helping her fix up her house and spending time with her and his adorable daughter and a ex wife who wants to cause problems. Soon they end up dating and ugh these two are so cute together I love the family moments!!!

They both have to deal with exs Aira and her greedy ex husband and Tide with his ex wife. Kinda glad both handled their ex drama good. No secerts and always up front with eachother and didn't let the exs win when they tried to be sleezy.

Slight ow/om drama (both exs)No cheating, tiny drama, slight secondary character, sexy times, no virgins

It’s not the time for stories where the woman can’t do anything by herself like fixing simple things around her own house. Her washer leaks water and she never considers to check if the hose is properly connected? And the guy starts calling her babe after just meeting her even though their relationship so far is strictly professional? And she sets out to help him doing one simple task and he gets pissed at her. Who is he to talk down to her and boss her around? She’s a complete stranger who also happens to be a paying client.
Also it doesn’t make sense to buy an unfinished house without the intent to spend money on it especially when she has no interest or skills to do it herself.

Not gonna finish it. Too much stuff that I found irritating and stereotypical.

Ahhhhh!!! I seriously struggle with writing reviews for an Aurora Rose Reynolds book. Firstly, she is one of my absolute, favourite authors ever. And this is because she writes heroes and heroines that I love that I can relate to and that I'm sure I would be friends with in real life. You know if they were real, I'm not actually crazy. But secondly because her stories are awesome, and I can't put them down.

So, I just finished this one and I have to say I really missed the drama and excitement of the Mayson family. Even if Tide had all the best elements of the Mayson men with his growling, possessive, protective alpha personality. Throw in his complete love and devotion to the beautiful Olivia and I loved him. But where's the kidnapping and murders of the Until series?

Alright so this one was hardly boring. And I couldn't put it down, so my whiny baby routine is probably unnecessary. I just really miss my Mayson family and had to get them in there. Aria was an absolute sweetheart and I loved her and Tide together. I also loved her with Gia and Colton and Olivia. She was so warm and open and awesome.

Obviously, I loved the book. I knew kind of what I was getting when I picked it up. OTT alpha male, sweet heroine, awesome writing, minimal relationship drama, insta love and an interesting storyline. And I wasn't disappointed. The only issue is I finished it and have to wait forever for the next one.

Let's call this one the perfect palate cleanser, because it wasn't what I would call a "good" romance, but I devoured it in one sitting and was happy to do so. This reads quickly and stays exceedingly light throughout, with a feel good tone that will put a smile on your face. Was the romance developed well? Not at all. Were the characters generic? Pretty much. But I liked it, I can't deny that. This couple just fit so well together, and their journey to happily ever after was easy, sexy, and honestly kinda flew by.

The story follows Aria, a recently divorced woman who has moved back to her hometown. Her parents are wealthy and she was always sort of the untouchable rich girl growing up, so she doesn't have a lot of friends in town. Shortly after moving into her new home, Aria's house needs some repairs and the man who shows up is none other than Tide, a guy she went to school with but was never close to. The two form an immediate bond that quickly develops into something stronger, and their easy connection gets tested by others in their lives.

This author's books are great for when I want to read something light, sexy, and uncomplicated. That's really the best way to describe this. Aria and Tide waste no time getting together, and their relationship escalates quickly. I liked Tide quite a bit - he's the most laidback hero I've seen this author write, by far. I actually laughed a couple of times because the characters picked on Tide for being an alpha caveman, but in my head I was thinking, "mmmhmm, sure... the hero in the last book I read from this author was literally an over the top, borderline stalker with no personal boundaries, but okay." This book is certainly not a bad way to spend a few hours and I enjoyed it the whole way through, but I'm also pretty confident that I won't be able to remember the plot in a month. Take that as you will. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this low angst romance.

One More Time by Aurora Rose Reynolds is book Two in the Ruby Falls Series. This is the story of Tide and Aria. Aria has moved back to her home town of Ruby Falls after a divorce and now having to start over. This involves purchasing a house in need of repairs which is how she ends up meeting Tide again. Tide was her high school crush and now he is to her contractor for the house repairs. But the sparks started flying between the two which can only lead to more. I am a huge fan of Ms. Reynolds writing so this was a must read and I do recommend this book.

It's quite good.
Heroine moves back to hometown after getting divorced.
Hero is also divorced, shared custody of his daughter.
They both went it the same school but didn't move in the same circles.
Heroine's family was part of the elite so she was constantly trying to please them.
Hero is described as daring anygirl that would put out.

No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
No relationship information in present day other than both divorced..
Ex drama on both sides.
Both exes have issues with letting the Hero and heroine move on in a new relationship.
Active role for the child, not prop part.

HEA.
Epilogues.

4.5⭐️ I love Aurora Rose Reynolds’ books. If you are looking for an easy read then highly recommend. I’m not always a big fan of single dad trope but this one was really good and the MMC was fab. Her books in general can be insta-lovey which isn’t always everyone’s cup of tea but I always enjoy her books.

This is a quick and easy, gorgeously romantic read with a whole lot of heart. A single parent romance with an alpha hero that completely stole my heart, and the story of two people, both wrestling with baggage from their pasts, coming together in a beautiful, swoony love story.

This is the second book in the Ruby Falls series. It’s been so long since the first book was released, and I had completely forgotten all of the characters, but this is Tide’s book – he is the best friend of Connor, the hero from Falling Fast. Connor and Gia do appear in this book, but this one can absolutely be read as a standalone. For those have read Falling Fast (and remember it), seeing Connor and Gia again will be a real treat.

Aria has returned to her small home town of Ruby Falls following a nasty divorce. Though her childhood wasn’t a happy one, and she’s not keen to be back in the same town as her dysfunctional parents, the town feels like home to her, and she has bought a home on a huge block of land to give her the privacy and peace she craves while she writes her next best-seller.

The house problems start immediately, and when she calls an emergency contractor, Tide Goodman shows up at her door. Tide Goodman, who is tall, rugged and sexy, and the guy that she crushed on in high school. They didn’t mix in the same circles and never had much to do with each other, but he’s all grown up now and spreading his alpha vibes all over her new house (lots of “babe” statements and protective bossiness).

Tide doesn’t recognise Aria immediately, but the attraction is pretty much instant, and he sets about infiltrating her life. From helping her with her house problems to unpacking boxes and assembling furniture, he’s all over it, and the sexual tension builds as they spend time together. We don’t have to wait too long for something to happen, and it’s oh-so-freaking-hot!!! And from that moment, it’s on. Tide won’t allow it to be any other way.

The guy who was trying to talk to her earlier rests his hand on her shoulder.
“I know this is kinda forward.” He glances nervously at me before focusing back on her. “But I was wondering if I could get your number, and maybe we could get dinner or something some time.”
“Oh…well--” She fidgets with the zipper of her sweatshirt looking nervous.
“She’s not available,” I cut her off, not even attempting to hide my annoyance.
“Figures.” He walks off, and I glare at his back as he goes, then focus on Aria.
“You’re not available,” I tell her, watching her cheeks darken. “Not even a little.”

I love reading about these kinds of heroes - guys that don’t hold back from their women, making it clear that they’re all-in, and being all protective and growly, but at the same time being sweet, supportive and caring. Tide is a true (hot-as-hell) alpha, even though he’s a little bit growly, and I just adored him. And when you add in the fact that he is the soft and smitten single father to an adorable four-year-old little girl, my heart melted.

Tide and Aria fall in love naturally, easily and fiercely, and I loved every moment of watching it happen.

“You’re everything, baby, and I swear to God that one day you’ll see what everyone else does and realize the only thing I want from you is you.”

But Tide is dealing with a problematic ex-wife, while Aria has a troublesome ex of her own, as well as some pretty intense family issues to deal with. She’s been so hurt, and she has some justifiable fears, but watching the two of them together, standing strong and dealing with their problems sensibly, without any unnecessary angst, drama or game playing, was fantastic.

“The universe wouldn’t give me the gift of you, if you were not meant to be mine.”

I really enjoyed this book. Tide and Aria are great characters, and I loved watching them work through their dramas and fight to move forward together. They have a gorgeous love story that is fun, functional sexy, intense, sweet and beautifully swoony. And that epilogue was the icing on the cake.

“Every day, I fall a little deeper in love with you, and I imagine that’s gonna keep happening until the day I die.”

Such a great read – 4 stars!

I stayed up until 1am last night and I have no regrets.

Aurora is one of my favourite romance authors and I love all her books, I knew One More Time would be amazing and I was not disappointed. I've been waiting for Tide's book since I read Falling Fast and it was worth the wait. This book has everything you could ask for; funny characters, steamy scenes, lots of emotions and a story that kept a hold om you from start to finish.

I loved Aria, she was a witty sarcastic character that you just love. The fact that she grew up with bad parents and didn't turn out like them was cute. I was smiling at her from the beginning. Then when Tide was introduced again I feel in love all over again. I was intrigued by his story on Falling fast, and hello hot man with a cute daughter. Who wouldn't want that?! Aria and Tide together were cute and sexy. you could feel the chemistry from the beginning.

I also loved reading about past characters, such a Colton and Gia that you haven't seen in a while, but Aurora wrote it so well it wasn't like any time had past with the books, they were the same amazing characters. Overall, this was a great read, and I would recommend it to anyone who want a sexy, funny story!

This is the second book in the Ruby Falls series and features Aria and Tide. Aria moves back to her hometown searching for a quieter and more happy life. She has a strained relationship with her parents and a divorce under her belt. But she is hoping buying a fixer upper home and moving on from the life that was expected of her will make her happy.

Tide went to school with Aria growing up but doesn't recognize her when he shows up to help her with her new home that desperately needs attention. There is an immediate attraction between the two of them. Both are unsure of where their relationship is going to go with Tide having an ex and a daughter and Aria having an ex-husband. Can Aria and Tide navigate their way through their budding relationship despite outside forces against them?

I'm not sure if I just wasn't in the mood for this book or if it truly was just boring. I didn't feel much connection between the MCs and Aria was kind of dumb. The whole ex's thing was overdone and while I usually love Reynolds' signature bossy alpha male...it didn't work here. Maybe Tide wasn't alpha enough for me or Aria was too timid. Overall, it wasn't a bad read and if you like Reynolds' work, you'll most likely like this one. I just found myself bored and wanting more.

One More Time is a small-town romance between single father Tide, and Aria, who’s just moved back home to Ruby Falls after a divorce. I really enjoyed their story; it had enough drama and angst to keep you interested but the character dynamics were what made it a favourite of mine by Aurora.

When Aria moves into a run-down house and has a few issues with pipes on the first day, Tide, a construction worker arrives at her door to sort them out. She remembers him from high school, but she left Ruby Falls years ago, until returning after her divorce was finalised, not knowing where else she could call home, especially with estranged parents who are also in town. Tide is attracted to Aria, and offers to help her fix up her house, and in the process, the chemistry between them starts to build. When they give in to the attraction, it’s explosive, and Aria finally starts to put down roots somewhere, growing attached to people, including Tide’s daughter Olivia, and feeling loved, something she hasn’t felt before. So, when Aria and Tide’s exs start to cause problems, will their new relationship weather the storm?

Aurora is, and always will be, one of my go to authors, I’ve never read a book of hers that I haven’t loved, and One More Time was no exception. She writes such easy reads, with swoony lines, steam, and such great drama that I am hooked until the end. Her characters fall quickly and completely, and although some of the plots seem predictable, they’re still enjoyable. Aria was just so genuine, she wouldn’t overreact to things and always considered others first. She was used to being on her own and being belittled for being her real self, so when she meets Tide who loved and accepted her as she was, she grew personally too. When he introduced her to his friends, she was nervous, but I loved how easily she found her place in the group, especially her friendship with Gia. Tide’s life was his daughter, and after his disastrous relationship he thought he would never find someone who could fit into his life alongside Olivia, but Aria did, and that’s what made them work. I can’t wait to return to Ruby Falls and read more of the other characters stories!

This wasn't bad. I'd honestly forgotten how much this author's style reminds me of Kristen Ashley (some of the ways she words things, the instalust, the drama from past significant others, plot moppet children, etc.), but watered down (which is actually not a dig -- KA needs to dilute herself sometimes, IMO).

Aria is a successful author (remember how in 80's and 90's romances the usual profession for FMCs was "model"? I feel like successful-author is the post-millennium version of that -- all the FMCs are one, but in real life there are only, like 5), who has moved back to her hometown after a divorce. She sees Tide, a local contractor and her former high school crush, when she has trouble with her house. From there, their romance is actually pretty easy. These two want to be together and most of the drama is from outside parties (their respective exes and her dysfunctional parents).

This didn't break any molds, but it also kept me entertained. And unlike KA, it felt like the right length. I didn't feel like the story was being drawn out or like there was half a book of epilogue, in spite of the characters hooking up early on.

It took me a little bit to get used to the female narrator, but I ended up liking her. I don't know if I've listened to the male narrator before, but he sounded like a lot of male romance novel narrators I've heard in the past -- that same overly intense, sexy deep voice. Nothing particularly memorable, but also no complaints.

Aurora Rose Reynolds is my tied top favorite author of all time. Seriously she could write a cookbook, an owners manual, anything and I'd read it the moment I could get my hands on it. Well she's back with the next swoony book in her Ruby Falls series and what a book this was. I loved Falling Fast and couldn't wait until she gave us Tide’s story and finally it's here and it was so worth the wait.

Sexy, sweet, swoony, intense, all kinds of unforgettable and unputdownable in the alllllll the moments. One More Chance was everything in all the very best ways and y'all, seriously, just wait until you meet and fall head over heels with Tide and Aria. These two lit up my kindle the first moments they landed on the page and gahhhh! The chemistry, the tension, the swoon, their banter.... y'all, honestly, words just can't say what you experience with these two (and their plus 1!)

I'd go to the end of the earth to read a book by ARR. Can't wait for the next one in your series and her others!

I highly recommend this book.

Aria Heart returns home to Ruby Falls not really because of her family but because it is the only place she ever felt at home. Deciding on buying a house that needs more work than she was prepared for she ends up hiring Tide Goodman for some of the extra work she needs.

Tide remembers Aria, he was never close to her but knew she came from a wealthy family and was in no way in his league. However, Tide gets to know Aria and quickly realizes he likes everything about her. Aria is not ready to trust again but something about Tide has Aria wanting to take a chance. Can Tide who has been burned before find what he always hoped to have in a relationship with Aria?

Another phenomenal read from this author. I was curious as to what Tide's story would be and it was more than I expected. Aria is terrific, she has been raised to be basically a show pony but has fond her own way and owns it. Wonderful story.

4.5 SMOOCHES!

I really love Aurora Rose Reynolds’ style of storytelling. She writes these decisive, determined and devoted alpha males who are a bit on the bossy side. Once they set their sights on the heroine, it’s like lightning strikes and they know down to their core that she’s the one. The fun starts when they set about doing whatever it takes to win her heart. Reynold’s describes that moment as the “boom,” and her ability to capture that moment of insta-love and those feelings are one of the reasons why I love her stories. I’m a total escapism reader, and Reynolds’ never fails to provide me with the vessel for those getaways.

I loved Falling Fast, the first story in the Ruby Falls series where I got my first glimpse of the hero, Tide, and I’ve been looking forward to his story since. Aria is back in Ruby Falls following a divorce, and one of the first people she runs into is Tide, the guy she had a crush on in high school but who didn’t notice her. Impossibly more handsome than he’s ever been, he charges in to save her day, and the sparks between them were flying. I loved these two together! I loved that while they were from markedly different backgrounds, they just fit. Both of them had awful ex-spouses, though Aria’s ex-husband hands-down won the contest as to who was worse. Tide’s sweet daughter was a breath of fresh air in this story.

Aurora Rose Reynolds totally brought the boom in One More Time with a low-angst, light-hearted, sweet and steamy romance. Tide was a very determined hero who knew exactly what he wanted and pulled out all swoon-worthy moves to get Aria on board with his plan. I loved watching this couple fall in love, and I got totally lost in their romance for a lovely afternoon. One More Time by Aurora Rose Reynolds gets 4.5 smooches from me!

I have no idea how Aurora Rose Reynolds gives us the most Sweetest books ever, it's something this world needs right now. This book is so addictive that I read it in one sitting. I loved this beautiful story so much I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

This book is about Aria and Tide. Tide who we met in Falling Fast. This book has so much good fluff with some heart break. These need each other so much because it's the Universe giving two people the love they deserve. Their love story is Captivating and utterly enthralling. It's sweet and damn oh so HOT.
Tide is such an amazing guy. Good to core. He loves hard and is damn protective, in other words every women's dream.
Aria was a dream watching her build a Backbone when needed and she was so mature. Understanding and oh so loveable.
It was also amazing catching up with Colton and Gia. They are still head over heels in love.
Some side characters you want to fucking Strangle them and some you just wanna giggle.

Thank you again Aurora for a beautifully written love story that never leaves you bored. I loved this story so much. Pre-order now so you don't miss out.
Enjoy!!!!

Aurora Rose Reynolds was and will always be a favorite come to author when my soul needs a sweet, heartwarming and low drama story to lose myself into for a couple of hours. I love how her words always give me so much comfort. She's such a talented and versatile author. I can't get enough of her delicious ott alpha heroes and her sweet but feisty heroines.

The moment I picked up One More Time I felt giddy and excited. I wanted to read Tide's story since I've finished Falling Fast! I desperately wanted this amazing guy to find his own HEA like his friends Colton and Gia did. Thank God my queen of alpha romance didn’t let me down! She delivered exactly the kind of sexy, cute and highly entertaining story I was looking for.

After getting divorced, Aria Heart is back in her hometown of Ruby Falls and determined to find the kind of happiness and peace she was always looking for. This all would be so much easier if her parents, with whom she has barely a strained relationship with, wouldn't live so close and the house she just purchased wasn’t already giving her a headache. Good thing a knight in shining armor (and a toolbelt) comes to her aid in the form of her former high school crush, Tide Goodman. The guy she always wanted but knew she could never have. Or can she? Is the universe giving her a second chance by tossing this amazing man and his adorable, little daughter into her path? There is only one way for Aria to find out.  She needs to be brave and take a chance on love one more time...

Aria and Tide were a match made in heaven. They complemented each other perfectly. I loved their undeniable chemistry as much as their sweet and sexy banter.

Tide was a picture perfect ARR alpha hero. He was sexy, sweet and very protective of the people he loved. He adored his daughter and was a great dad to her. I also loved his amazing friendship with Colton, who was the first to realise that his friend is falling in love.

Aria was a good-hearted and compassionate person. She sadly grew up in a very dysfunctional family, which made her a little insecure and guarded. Tide was the only man who managed to smash the walls around Aria's heart and wanted her for who she truly was, without any expectations or stipulations.

If you are looking for a light and quick read with super loveable characters that will make you swoon and a story that will make you smile, then this book is definitely a must for you! I highly recommend it. 5 stars
