My past is littered with broken bones and what-ifs.
I won’t let her become just another bad memory.

My name’s Nick Splitter, and I hunt serial killers.

That’s my whole life, at least until I meet Rose, and she changes everything.

She caught the eye of a notorious psychopath, and if I can’t stop him in time then she’ll be his next victim.

I’m an FBI agent. I’m supposed to be buttoned up, and I’m supposed to follow the rules. For most of my life, I only cared about the hunt.

But now, Rose makes me want to strip down and let go of my anger.

We both have a dark past, smeared in blood and tragedy, and I’m not about to let her get hurt again.

I’ll do what it takes to find the killer.

Then I’ll make sure Rose doesn’t get away.

It’s a brand new series! This is the first book in the Hunters saga, which will follow an elite squad of FBI agents trained to track and capture serial killers. It’s slightly dark, very steamy, and extremely exciting! As always, it’s a standalone, with no cliffhanger, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after. Enjoy! XO BB

BB’s Best Story yet!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💙💜💛💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 👤👤👤👤👤

The setting: Foylestown

The Hero(s): Nick Splitter – works for the FBI “Hunters”, a division that hunts serial killers. Nick didn’t get recruited the traditional route, via law enforcement, he was recruited because he caught a serial killer while working for a detective. He is good at his job, but isn’t your traditional buttoned up FBI agent.

The heroine: Rose - a serial killer (CGK-Cam Girl Killer) murdered her sister Delia, who as the fourth victim year ago. Since then, CGK has murdered 5 more girls and has threatened Rose despite the fact that it doesn’t fit the profile as Rose isn’t a Cam Girl.

The Love Story: Nick wants to move in with Rose and use her as bait for the killer so Rose doesn’t have to look over her shoulder the rest of her life wondering if he has caught up with her.

I usually pass over the books where the blurb talks about the Hero or heroine being law enforcement. I am not sure why since I do like romantic suspense and I love the hunt for a serial killer. Though maybe it is due to some inner feelings about law enforcement officials, I don’t know. Either way, I knew that BB Hamel always has great stories with plenty of romance and steam as well. So I thought I would give this a try.

I liked the fact that right off the bat, Nick reminded me of Sam and Dean on Supernatural when they faked at being FBI agents. Especially when I heard that his name was Nick Splitter and his partner’s was Cal Dam. I mean those last names sound totally fake right? Sure they aren’t the names of 80’s rockstars, but still…

Nick has something in his past which makes him a bit singleminded about what he does and he is a bit like Adrian Monk if you ever saw that show in that he notices things that other people miss and finds clues that other agents would never think of. Rose is dealing with the loss of her sister in addition to the fact that a serial killer wants her. Though she isn’t weak, she learns to shoot and goes off alone far more than Nick would like.

I enjoyed the romance. Nick was living with Rose, but as an FBI agent, so they weren’t too quick to act on their feelings, but when they did it was pretty steamy. I ended up really liking the serial killer storyline and I am finding myself glad that this is the first book in a series of stand-alone books about the Hunters (sort of like the team from Criminal Minds). I am looking forward to reading the rest and am glad that BB Hamel is quick with her writing.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

A nicely written suspenseful romance read, but didn’t hit the mark for me. I am sorry to say that I was unmoved by both the characters and the plot and I struggled to finish it... 😔😔

Okay, this is probably one of the very best books I have read by B.B. Hamel. Hunting Gorgeous has everything you could be looking for in a light romantic suspense story. Nick is a hot alpha man that hunts serial killers and is now on the hunt for one. He doesn't take no for an answer very well and hates to lose. When he finds himself in the middle of nowhere hunting the latest serial with a sister of a victim he doesn't know if he will lose his heart or his life first.

Rose is stronger than she thinks. She is missing her sister more than anything and when the FBI comes knocking on the door little does she expect someone like Nick. These two have some very heavy chemistry but need to find the person that killed her sister.

This book has mystery, twists, hot sex, and intrigue that will keep you going throughout. I hope to see more stories like these from B.B.

This book had me immediately hooked with the prologue. Loved this book! There is nothing better than a romance book that is filled with suspense and drama!

Nick is an FBI agent trying to catch a serial killer. The serial killer is now targeting Rose who is the sister of one of his victims, Delia. Nick has some things in his past that help drive him, but he is really focused on his job and catching this killer. He doesn't want there to be any more victims and wants to use both himself and Rose as bait. Rose agrees to the plan. She really is a strong female character and I really enjoyed her. She pulled at my heartstring some. Here she is, a 22-year-old female, estranged from her parents, and her Gramma and sister Delia are now both gone. She really is alone.

Nick and Rose seem to have an attraction really quick but neither act on it right away. I loved the flirting back and forth. It's kind of has an age-gap/slow-burn feel along with the romantic suspense. So good!

This is a mystery, something of which I haven't read from Ms. Hamel. This book brings us Nick and Rose. Nick is an unconventional FBI agent brought it to this case when Rose's life is threatened. This serial killer already killed her sister and now he wants Rose. Nick has been looking for this killer for some time and thinks he knows his profile very well. He is bound and determined to protect Rose and have these killings end. When reading this I felt like I was involved in the case. Rose, she was one great character. She was scared, but was willing to put her life in jeopardy so that no other girl or their family would suffer like she has. Nick's early childhood also involved a serial killer, so he knew what Rose was going for. Not only was this a mystery, but there are also a love story, and boy, did Nick prove to be a great guy also. This is a must read mystery. I HIGHLY recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

It won't take you long to get caught up in Rose and Nick's story. They both have a dark and troubled past which only makes their relationship that more intense. This is the first book in the Hunters saga and is a great start to the series. This book is intense, fast paced and have you glued to your seat. Nick is a FBI agent whose speciality is hunting down serial killers. Even though it's part of a series it's read as a standalone. Dark and steamy this is a great read that's hard to put down once you begin. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.

I really enjoyed the suspense and thrill of this read. Nick is FBI, searching for a serial killer, he's intense, determined and I loved it! Rose is strong, she has suffered loss and my heart went out to her. I loved the connection, the nail biting, the suspense and mystery swirling around the story. It kept me on my toes and pulled me in from start to finish!

Unfortunately this book wasn't for me at all. I really liked the idea of combining romance and thriller but it just didn't grip me. The storyline didn't occur real enough for me and I found the way the main characters acted with each other unrealistic. I think I would have hoped for a darker main plot and a steamier subplot. But I liked the style of writing which is what kept me going and finish the book.

3.5 stars, i liked the story line, i love stalkers and serial killer, well not in real life, but in books.

The reason i don't give 5 stars is because i didnt felt the connection , and there were a few loose ends in mine option that the author had the option to, to go deeper and told us more. But still i really enjoyed it.

Nick & Rose’s Story Of Cat & Mouse With A Serial Killer Is A Little Unnerving! Nick Is An Unconventional FBI Agent Who Hunts Serial Killers. Rose Is Mourning The Loss Of Her Sister To CGK, Who Has Now Declared She Is Next.

This is book one of The Hunters series. Don’t forget to download the free bonus scene via the link at the back of the book!

Rose Walters, twenty-two, has been floating through life for the last year. She’d had to give up college. She lives alone in the home she inherited from her grandmother going on two years ago. It is an old house on a somewhat private lot in the small town of Foylestown, somewhere outside of Philadelphia. She keeps it as a living shrine, holding onto the memories that she and her older sister Delia shared there with their beloved Gramma. The girls had had a falling out with their parents, but their grandmother had always been warm and welcoming. It was after Gramma’s death that Rose lost Delia, too. She had always lived in Del’s shadow. Her older sister was the outgoing type that everybody loved. Rose was more introverted. Though they weren’t tight, they did have a good relationship. Delia even paid Rose’s college tuition. She had worked as a Cam Girl. Her smiling personality and funny interactions with her viewers made her very popular, but in the end her success had killed her.

Nick Splitter, thirty-five, never imagined he would become an FBI agent. He worked various jobs in his twenties, then stumbled upon one working for a private detective. That was when he caught his first killer. There was a bit of luck and a lot of learning things the hard way involved, but once the case was closed and a serial killer was in custody, the Hunters recruited him. Led by Head, the Hunters are a group of FBI agents that specialize in tracking down serial killers. While he might have honed his skills at tracking killers since being hired, he hasn’t changed much otherwise. He doesn’t wear the typical suit and still has rough edges. He might not fit the mold, but he doesn’t care much about appearances. It is a deeply personal job for Nick. He lost his little brother to a serial killer and grew up believing he would be next. It had destroyed his family. He knows all too well the psychological damage each killing inflicts on the victim’s family. He wants justice for his brother Buck, who died at age eight, and he wants justice for the victims he couldn’t save.

Cam Girl Killer just took down his ninth victim, and Nick is still steaming about what went down in Houston. He nearly had CGK but for the well-intentioned mistake of a local. The more people involved in an operation, the more risk of it going wrong. That mistake had rattled CGK and sent him a little off course. The killings have increased in the last year, so the stakes are high. He is toying Nick now, whose interference had angered him. Nick has become part of the game. CGK is collecting his victims, which all fit a profile. But now he has made a visit that has the team scratching their heads. Rose Walters, the sister of victim number four, is no Cam Girl. But CGK has just declared his interest and staked his claim on her.

Nick and Rose’s romantic suspense follows Nick as he protects Rose while reeling in a serial killer. Rose is basically alone in the world when she finds herself a target. Nick has a complicated relationship with his partner, Cal Dam. Detective Gayle Starch is working the case locally. Nick must balance the bureau and local politics while he simultaneously lures CGK and keeps Rose from the killer’s clutches. Rose finds new purpose in getting justice for Del. She refuses to take the easy way out despite the danger it puts her in. She and Nick must walk a tight rope act and pray nothing goes wrong. The couple earns a happy ending.

Nick and Rose’s story of cat and mouse with a serial killer is a little unnerving at times. There are some rather rookie mistakes made. CGK most certainly could have achieved his goals many times had he chosen to. Much of it is attributable to extreme carelessness. The story is plot-driven. It is complex and unfolds slowly, building the suspense. It is written in first person. The POV alternates between Nick and Rose. I rate this book four stars.

I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a unique story from BB and it’s a great story with mystery and romance between two souls that are unknowingly connected. Rose has lost her Gramma and then her sister, Delia to a serial killer and she’s been lost over the past year. One day she finds a message on her mirror that she’s next and the FBI are brought in. Nick and his partner are from a special unit of the FBI, the Hunters. Nick is one unusual FBI agent and comes up with an idea outside the box by staying with Rose in her house to bring out the Cam Girl Killer (CGK). Nick has a history that lead him through life stumbling into his job and has been completely in tune with the CGK and his actions. Rose agrees to have Nick stay with her and these two learn to live together and end up attracted to one another. They fight it for some time but end up together and their decisions along the way to bring the killer out becomes a game they go back and forth with him. This guy is very smart and clever and able to kill these cam girls without leaving any evidence or a trail and when his buttons are pushed he starts to act out of his norm and making mistakes allowing Nick and Rose to interview a victim who lives giving them much needed clues! When Nick and Rose are confronted by the killer he ends up hurting Nick and getting away but they are another step closer to discovering who he is and to finding a way to bring him down. When Rose is out one morning without Nick he strikes and things don’t look great for Rose and when Nick gets help he does what a man in love does to save Rose. Their past brings them closer together and Rose is one special woman who faces this killer with everything she is and Nick is there along the way making them a team. What an incredible and interesting suspenseful story that will have you on the edge of your seat. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Hunting Gorgeous by BB Hamil

5 Full Stars, I’d give 6/5 if I could for the twisted creep factor alone.

I love, love, love Hunting Gorgeous.

Brilliantly written, suspenseful and thrilling FBI Romance story, interlaced with drama and apprehension along the way. Our two main characters are Rose and Nick. Nick is part of a special FBI section who members known as The Hunters. Nick and his partner Cal are hunting CGK (Cam Girls Killer). We enter this story where CGK’s next target is Rose.

Nick has become desensitised to what ever depraved acts serial killers commit, and he wants to use Rose as bait. Rose is afraid, but she doesn’t give into her fear. There are personal reasons why she wants to do this.

They both have a past that haunts them. It’s shaped them into the person they are now. It’s their past that draws these two people together, not just because of the involvement of CGK.

This book really draws you in, and gets your blood pumping. This isn’t my type of genre, but from the get go, I was hooked. It’s gripping and parts are just spellbinding. The romantic hook up of Rose and Nick is a slow burn, and a backdrop to the main theme which is trying to capture CGK, but within each other they find a connection and comfort they both need in these trying times.

There is a major creep factor in this story involving Nick, Rose and Delia. Loved that twisted twist. No more said on that. Your going to have to read the book to find out what is all about.

I will be looking forward to reading other books by BB Hamil in this series.

Hunting Gorgeous is the first book in BB Hamel’s Hunter series. In this book, readers are introduced to Rose Walters and Nick Splitter. Rose is latest target of a serial killer, aka CGK. Nick is an FBI agent specializing in serial killers. He investigated the murder of Rose’s sister, Delia, a victim of this serial killer. He has a special connection to this case as it triggers memories of his own murdered little brother, Buck. Both Nick and Rose are alone and adrift amongst the rough waves of a surging emotional ocean. What happens when Rose agrees to be the bait to draw out CGK.? Will Nick be able to keep her safe? Will this case bring these two together?

Ms. Hamel penned a captivating romantic suspense. As the first book in this series, Ms. Hamel introduces readers to a cast of supporting characters. She introduces readers to the inner workings of a FBI profiler. Ms. Hamel masterfully uses literary devices, like dialog, POV, backstory, and flashbacks, to tell Rose and Nick’s story. Her use of conversational and internal dialog, along with a dual POV, helps readers understand Rose and Nick’s personalities and lives. Ms. Hamel builds suspense and tension through many rising action events leading to a climactic scene of Rose’s abduction and a final faceoff between Nick and CGK. Well done, Ms. Hamel!

Hunting Gorgeous is everything I've come to expect from B.B. Hamel. It is an exciting and suspenseful romance that will suck you in so that you can't put the book down until you have finished.
Rose is a sweet young woman who has endured the horrific murder of her sister. Nick is a federal agent, who has been working on capturing a serial killer know as CGK, which leads him to Rose since the same killer that he is chasing not only killed her sister but is now threatening to do the same to her. In his attempt to lure the killer out so that he can get him, Nick decides to move in with Rose. This obviously leads to them spending a lot of time together and becoming very close while they worked together on figuring out who the killer is and how to stop him.
Nick and Rose are both beautifully complicated people- sharing the same tragedies in their lives. Their romance is a bit of a slow burn but it felt right for the nature of this story. Their chemistry grew organically despite the heaviness of the situation that brought them together. I really enjoyed the story as it was engaging, had me wondering what would come next and rooting for Nick and Rose as their relationship moved past the semi-professional one to one that is much more intimate.

Solid 3 stars for me.
The story was semi engaging and kept me mostly interested, but it was kind of slow going for most of it and I did end up putting it down for longer than most books I read before finally picking it back up again.
The romance definitely felt like more of a subplot than the main focus of the story. There was really only one sex scene and it was steamy but super tame, kind of mediocre honestly. And that’s fine, it just kind of added another tick on the list of things I wasn’t fully enjoying about it.
If you watched MindHunters on Netflix this story will feel super familiar. It’s not a direct match, but it definitely read like some sort of fan fic, spin off story. I’m not sure I’ll be reading any more of the series. It’s not what I was expecting and I just wasn’t 100% sold on the mystery, or their relationship for that matter.
They seemed to have only the bare bones of what if required to be together. Proximity, passing attraction...it just felt like they were using each other as a convenient distraction and relief instead of actually feeling true passion for the other. Even the ending was lack luster for me.
I don’t know. I just wasn’t feelin it.

The brief prologue of this book grabbed me immediately. I have enjoyed every book that I have read by this author, and I have to say that I think this is among her best. In this book the romance is definitely there, but it is secondary to the mystery/thriller aspect. A serial killer is on the loose. Rose, the heroine, is the sister of one of the killer’s victims. The killer has now indicated that has Rose in his sights. Nick, the hero in the story, is an atypical FBI agent who is part of a team that hunts serial killers. He is charming and witty, but also haunted by a mysterious past.

I thought this story was really good, so I don’t want to give any hint at a spoiler at all, which means I’m pretty limited in what I can write here. I thought the book was engaging and and entertaining, and just creepy enough without being too overwrought… even though the subject is a serial killer who preys on women, which is pretty dark. There is good chemistry between the lead characters, some interesting secondary characters, and a nice amount of drama. I also very much enjoyed the HEA.

Wow! This book feels like a huge step up-Rose is being taunted & pursued by a serial killer and Nick is the unorthodox FBI Agent assigned to her case. Nick is part of the Hunters, FBI profilers in the field. Nick is obsessed with the Cam Girl Killer (CGK)—there's reasons for that, though. I enjoyed the action, drama, and intensity of the story; serial killers are not predictable! As the story progressed, you learned more about the killer, and it did not get less disturbing. With all the action, I felt a bit less connected to the main characters, more like watching from a distance than being in the story with them. Still found it to be a great read, though, and I’m looking forward to more Hunters (and Starch, please!)

B.B.Hamel has changed direction again and written a brilliant romantic thriller with plenty of twists and turns, it’s a captivating and compelling read with characters that leap of the page and drag you along with them.
Nick Splitter a FBI agent hunting serial killers is assigned to the CGK( cam girls killer) investigation where he meets Rose whose sister has just become his latest victim. Rose and Nick are hell bent on catching this deranged killer, so what do you do when the killer appears to be one step ahead of you?? Could it mean you put yourself out there as bait and in harm’s way??
A fantastic start to the new Hunters Saga, can’t wait to see what’s next!! I was given this as an ARC by the author in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was totally happy to provide.

The story definitely grace you from the beginning. This author knows how to weave a story and get you invested. You still get romance despite being twisted and dark and about catching a serial killer because she knows how to do romance and steam. The MC, Rose, is the sister of a victim to the killer who has now set his sights on her. Nick is a special agent with the FBI who’a team hints serial killers. And he has been after this one from the beginning. His history is so sad and bridges another connection to Rose.

This book could have been a movie. You get the suspense, intrigue, mystery and puzzle solving needed to get into the head of a killer. Plus some steam. Liked the HEA.

I received this book as an ARC.

Nick is a FBI agent and he has been tracking a serial killer, when suddenly he is lead to Rose, who has found a note in the killer's handwriting, but she doesn't fit the normal victim profile for this killer. Can Nick find the killer, before he gets Rose? Nick wants Rose the moment he sees her, even though he knows it's wrong. Will Rose let Nick get close? I loved this exciting romance with a thriller serial killer story, both Nick and Rose were easy to love, and had great chemistry going. The story was definitely a page turner for me, I couldn't put it down, and loved how it all came together.

This is the latest book by B.B. Hamel and I can not begin to describe how amazing it was. I was caught up in the story from the first page and couldn't wait to see what happened next. Nick is one of the Hunters, a specialized unit in the FBI that hunts serial killers. Rose is the sister of a victim of the CGK and is maybe his next victim. Nick offers her an interesting proposition that she realizes that she needs to take. Help him catch the CGK killer by allowing her to be bait. While spending time together, they grow closer. Will they be able to catch the killer before he gets them?

Suspense and Romance in one

Rose’s sister was murdered by a serial killer. Now he’s after her and she doesn’t know why. Her sister was a Cam Girl, she’s not. Her sister was outgoing, she’s not. It doesn’t make sense, but serial killers rarely do.

Nick isn’t your typical FBI agent. But being an FBI Hunter, those that catch serial killers, takes special skills that he has. When he meets Rose, he’s taken by the physical similarities between her and her sister. And this could be a problem, for both of them. Seems the killer wants Rose but hates Nick. Now to set the trap and hope they come out alive.

Hunting Gorgeous is an interesting, suspenseful romance with likable characters and some steam. The main focus of the story is on a serial killer being hunted by FBI agent Nick and his team. The trail leads to Rose who has received a terrifying message from the killer. Nick's a dedicated agent and a good guy but he isn't above using Rose as bait, believing he can protect her. Rose, as it turns out, makes a great, insightful partner. She's not just beautiful, she's brave and gutsy too.

This slow build romance has a great plot and strong characters. I was hooked from the first page. I am really looking forward to the next book of this new series. 4.5 stars

Nick and Rose are brought together in a fight against a serial killer. Her sister was murdered by him a year ago and now she's his latest target... or is she? They have a shared tragedy in their past and a common motivation to see CGK (Cam Girl Killer) meet his end. The question is, will they survive? Can they trust their feelings? I loved how Rose came out of her shell and was able to bring things to the table that turned the tide in the fight against this monster. Definitely for the 18+ audience.

Steamy Romantic Suspense!

This is different than BB Hamel’s mafia romances. This is definitely Romantic Suspense. There is a serial killer and there are FBI’s Hunter team. And a surviving sister who has now becomes the target. It’s scary sometimes, how real the author makes it. And this is real. I couldn’t put this down. Read way past my bedtime. But it is worth the jet-lag. The sparks fly between agent Nick and Rose. I hope there is more and that this becomes a new genre for Ms. Hamel. I did receive an advance copy for my honest review.

This is a steamy romance wrapped in a really well written thriller! BB Hamel has given us 2 great characters, Rose who's sister Delia was killed by a serial murderer and Nick the FBI agent looking for her killer. They both have really tough backstories, but decide to work together to bring this animal to justice. The story twists, turns, has some surprises, great chemistry, and crazy steam. This is one of my favorites by BB Hamel. Great read and it could be a free read for you with your KU subscription.
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
