A naughty cat… a mixed-up matchmaker… an outlaw’s ghost… and now dueling brides - what’s a cowboy to do?
1870, Wyoming Territory. Dalton Sweetland is one stressed-out cattle rancher. Notorious outlaw Butler Robb was recently caught following a life of crime spent stealing cattle, robbing stagecoaches, and committing murder. Right before being hanged, Robb uttered one final word… “Sweetland.” In the months since, a rumor has popped up in a town that the outlaw buried his loot somewhere on Sweetland land. Multiple townsfolk are claiming they’ve seen Robb’s ghost wandering the property, purportedly to recover his lost gold. To make matters worse, Dalton’s ranch hands keep quitting out of fear of being accosted by the apparition, and Dalton himself keeps being accosted by mischievous young ladies wishing to marry him, find the treasure, and get rich quick. After Dalton’s brother suggests hiring a matchmaker to help him find true love, Dalton hopes the end of his problems is finally in sight. Little does he know…
1870, Chicago. Cleo the cat, after enjoying a bit too much catnip, lost her balance while prancing along the high bookshelf where Agatha Sinclair, matchmaker, keeps her files. While skittering down, Cleo’s weight proved too much for the flimsy wood, and the structure came toppling over, sending Agatha’s papers flying. Nobody could blame poor Agatha for promptly having an apoplectic fit upon seeing the mess. Now her granddaughter, Maggie, is left with trying to sort out her grandmother’s matches. The files indicate that Dalton Sweetland was matched with a “J. Knight,” but Maggie can’t seem to locate the woman’s address to contact her. Hence, she takes out an ad in the newspaper looking for a marriageable lady named “J. Knight” who wishes to claim her ticket out West to meet her match. Much to Maggie’s distress, not one, but TWO Miss J. Knights come knocking at her door ready to claim the golden ticket. Was Dalton matched with Jessalynn or Jenna? Maggie doesn’t have time to figure this out, so throwing up her hands, she apologizes for the mishap and agrees to foot the bill for both of them to take the stage to Wyoming.

The scenario of the cat messing up the applications and eating part of the crucial information was a fun start to this story. Good characters who started out as rivals. Strong Christian theme. A great read.
This may be my absolute favorite of the series so far. It was a quick, easy read with memorable characters I would love to get to know in future books.
Such a fun, unique twist, possibly my favourte in the series so far. Not only has the matchmaker's cat caused chaos but now 2 women, both J. Knight, show up at the Matchmaker's home. Unsure what to do, they are both sent to a poor, unsuspecting Dalton for him to choose between them. Dalton thought his brother's idea was just a hairbrained scheme but now he's waiting for his bride to arrive. What a shock when 2 women show up together. As he gets to know them both, will he be able to fall in love with one of the women? This was delightful! I loved the fresh approach to the mix-up idea. It was also nice to see characters that weren't necessarily complete opposites. I definitely recommend this book!
This is a sweet ands bit strange mail order bride story. The matchmaker was to send one bride to Dalton, as ordered by his confirmed bachelor, fun loving brother, Duke. That darned cat has created this mess and because of illegible papers two ladies with the same first initial and same last name are sent by stage to Dalton. One and a spare, so to speak, and left for them to work out this dilemma. Totally different personalities and both are beautiful in different ways. You will enjoy all the excitement and adventure along the way as the four of these good people find their happily ever after.
This series has been so much fun. Annee Jones brings us a real mix up. All Maggie has to use to find a match for Dalton is Miss J Knight, but is that Jenna or Jessalyn Knight? The decision to send them both and let Dalton sort them out sets up our story. Although very different, be prepared to be surprised on how the girls get along and manage. This story was enjoyable and I look forward to more stories by Annee Jones.
This was another fun book in the Matchmaker's mix-up series. After a cat made a huge mess at the match-maker's house, Dalton ends up with two brides, instead of one. Both Jessalyn and Jenna Knight show up at the ranch as his mail-order bride and somehow he has to make a choice. Read this delightful book to see how things work out. It's another great book by Annee Jones.
What a delightful story. What happens when a crazy cat mixed up the paperwork of the matchmaker. Two ladies with the same name, show up to find out who their groom will be. No choice, but to send both of them and let Dalton pick who he wants. This should be interesting and good. I was given an ARC of this book by the author. This is my honest review
Oh, how I loved this story! This is one of those books that I didn’t want to end! Loved sweet Jessalyn. She was perfect for the man who chose her (no spoilers, here!) And I loved how readily feisty, snarky Jenna became enamored with our sweet Jesus ❤️
Dalton and Duke - brothers on the ranch they own. Duke thought Dalton needed a bride . Jenna and Jessalyn, - they may have the same last name but are not related. I enjoyed reading this intriguing story that is well written with magnificent characters. The girls journey to Wyoming and to Christ. All of them has a loving HEA.
I loved this book and kept hoping that the mystery curse on the ranch would be solved. Can’t say anymore or it will ruin the story. Loved the Bible verses in this book and loved that both ladies really never learned that God is always good. No matter what, God is there even when we think he is not there and may lead us to a different direction than we expect.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The plot was very different than most. The characters were well developed and very believable. I am looking forward to more by this author
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Author did a great job of bringing the story of the 2 Ms. J Knights and how they each so desperately wanted to be the “right” J. Knight!
This was a short sweet romance novella. The premise was fun, and the characters were likable, but the romances developed a bit too quickly for my taste.
The storyline was overly predictable, but, overall, it was an enjoyable quick read.
This is the first time I've read a book written by Anne Jones. I found her writing to be thought provoking and enjoyable! The way she weaves the Word of God into her story was wonderful. Loved the plot and characters! Can't wait to read more by her.
I must admit I don't like romances but I wanted to support my neighbor who is the author. There was good character development and the plot moved along nicely and I liked the story. I really enjoyed this book. It was a sweet story.
Sounds like my cat 😂😂 This was so good. Loved reading it! I love mixing it up and reading something new and out of my wheelhouse and this was a lot diff than what I usually read, but I still enjoyed it!
I love this story! It was a sweet story that showed how God always brings the best when we let Him, but the best part was how it told the story of Christ and His love and saving Grace for us!!
What a fun adventure! This is a great weekend or anytime read! Sure to bring a smile! Never would I have guessed that this is either her first or second book! Just amazing
I loved this book. I loved that it was one story then split into two. I loved how the characters grew and changed as well. Excellent book in this series.
Easy five star Two women ,one mail order request , matchmaker has no choice but to send both girls. They start out as enemies but little by little friendships form. They not only find a ranch to live on, saves it from rustlers, a husband to love, and a family to belong. But most of all this family leading both to Christ our Savior. You won’t want to put this down once you pick it up. There is no sexual references or language so I can recommend this book to anyone. And although it’s part of a series it’s a stand alone so you don’t have to read in order ( I didn’t)
