Des Boxster finds himself in a strange land. Alone and without any support, he is given an impossible task by a tribal leader and that takes him to the capital. He becomes an unwilling participant in another civil war, and Des must navigate in a totally unfamiliar political climate while seeking out the secret that can add fire to the already hot situation.
I write action/adventure fiction with a definite proclivity towards Sword & Sorcery. I like magicians, but I'm less partial to unicorns, dragons, elves and dwarves. But give me a hero with a magic sword and I'll make him sing... Wait, I already have!
I've published a number of works under the CasiePress imprint and there are more to come.
I'm an older guy (Guy!), married and all my kids have grown up and given me grandkids to dote over. I've read thousands of books and found that in most cases, I'd rather write than read.
And I don’t say it lightly. When an author goes to so much work writing a decent book and series, and throws the mc into the dumpster, lights him on fire constantly, and then tries to break every bone in his body just to move the plot forward ( or in this case, in circles) it makes me bang my head against the wall. Worth the read? If you have nothing better to do.
Isn`t this interesting? It seems that Des is changing; dare I say growing up? Will he leave the roaming life behind and settle down? On to the next book...
