Join Poppy and Sam for a stream-train adventure full of fun sound effects. Press the buttons on each page of this exciting book to hear the story come to life. There are ten sounds, including Rusty the dog barking, Dolly the carthorse neighing, and the steam train puffing along the tracks and tooting its horn.
Sam Taplin grew up in a beautiful valley in Yorkshire, where he dreamed of being a writer, and after three years reading other people's books at university he started writing his own. He's been doing it ever since. When he's not writing about lonely rabbits or inquisitive bears, he likes doing card tricks, writing songs and playing long games of chess by the fire.
My mom was a rep for Usborne Books. During her launch party my son's Uncle got him Poppy and Sam's Noisy Train Board Book by Sam Taplin, the illustrations are by Stephen Cartwright. I have enjoyed the books by Usborne, they are cute, and so far have been pretty sturdy, however, still a possibility for wear and tear if your little one decides to play rough with their books.
I gave this book a 5 star based on the sturdiness so far, the quick simple story, beautiful illustrations and based on how much my son likes it. Today this was the first book he brought to me tonread to him. He enjoys pushing the sound sensors and looking for the little yellow ducky hiding on each page. ( He finally noticed it after multiple times trying to show him. 😂) Like with a lot of his books, this is one we will read multiple times in one day.
Another hit from Usborne! This board book has sturdy pages with tabs for little hands. There is a sound bar on the side to press. Bright illustrations. Cute story.
